Can’t fault this at all. 100% recommend them

I wish I could buy lots more of them to put in every room of the house but can’t afford it.

Lots of features and they recognise the bulbs they area attached to so it who’s how much power it’s using and does the brightness right for the bulbs attached. Works with Alexa very fast and faultlessly. Can change colours to suit your style in between the buttons. Can turn this little light off on the buttons as well if say in a bedroom which is another nice touch.

If you can afford it buy them and you won’t be disappointed.

I have about 25 of these in my house and around 45 plug sockets too. These are stylish, high quality and work well as part of my smart home integratio

These are great switches and despite other reports, having installed these throughout my house myself, I can confirm the setting up of a master/slave is very simple. Equally being able to wire a live/neutral and using as a smart switch without a lighting circuit is great for 2 way switching. All this is far better than the gen 1.
    Where they go wrong is:
1: The price. 100 for a 2 way dimmer and 200 for a 4 way is very expensive vs others
2: Lack of devices. Gen 1 was far better served, they blame apple for this, aparently it costs a lot and takes a long time to get it certified….
3: The move to common live is a pain where you have multi level house with different circuits as of cause stairs will normally have 2 separate circuits and if you try to merge them… well it will work until the next guy works on the circuit then I hope for his sake yoy have a RCD to save them a nasty shock! Because I this I don’t think these are really self install any longer as Joe public without a degree in electronic engineering has no idea if its safe to connect both lives to the common.

Finally, the app sucks! it does what it needs to yes, but they having designed it… no user journey… if I want to turn the bedside light on i have to open app, chose floor, chose room, find the icon tap it… can take 30 seconds. Cant help but think could be done much bette

I have these swithces all throughout the house. They are extremely good quality switches and look very sleek and modern, much nicer than traditional switches. The automations are easy to setup through the app. We’ve had our switches for some time now and never had any issues. Brilliant switches!!

Great product, easy to set up and use…. Works very well with Google home… I tried a few cheaper products out before this one and had so many problems. Lovely switches, I have already re purchased.

    Thanks

I was worried this would be the most complex switch to install. Turns out it was actually very simple and I found it the easiest to install. That could be down to me leaving this to the lady and having learned from my previous installs.

This was the white metal switch and I love it. Looks amazing on the wall and with the LED’s set at the dimmest level it’s unobtrusive in the room.

Easy to install, good looking for the home.
Setting up was a little frustrating if changing dimmable lamps, turning the power off and on from the fuse box and pressing the required within 5 seconds takes two people. Has some nice new features.

Sometimes it takes longer to ask Alexa tha it does to hit the switch. These let me do both.

We use them with our phones and Alexa.
    Work great!

Really convenient, app, voice and manual control. Best part is the switches can also be setup to control other things, like sockets or even other dimmers!

A little fiddly to get 2 way switching setup but once it’s working it’s brilliant and seems to work with all good quality dimmable LED bulbs. I’ve got almost 15 of these in various guises and am very happy

If you purchase a Lightwave L21 from Amazon and it is faulty. The Lightwave Technical Support Team are very good in replacing it with a new Lightwave Dimmer Switch. Excellant serivce and guidance. Would recommend as they have a solution to all problems.

4 star because it’s expensive and the first one delivered was DOA. But Amazon Customer Service was excellent, as usual.

I have bought the LightwaveRF Gen2 light switches, sockets and a Link Plus. No problems setting the devices up, good quality products with a nice design. So far all works happily with the app.

Built up quite a few of these in the house over the years and they really are great products. Integrated with Alexa seamlessly. Never realised how much easier they made things until we moved house. I’ve just bought a load more to replace the existing switches.

Smart light-switches are the best way to go if you want to install YOUR choice of dimmable light bulb, be it a cheap one from your local hardware store or a specialised antique squirrel cage bulb etc.

The “Link Plus” unit serves as the hub for your ‘smart lighting/switching/heating’ network. It plugs into your WiFi Router and communicates via radio frequency with the lightswitch, as opposed to directly via WiFi (e.g. Philips Hue).
Setting up was easy and straightforward. The app is simple and intuitive and you can set schedules or timers for a single device or group of devices. You can switch on the light either directly from the light switch on the wall (and dim accordingly) or from your smartphone app (Android, Apple iOS) or a laptop.

If your WiFi goes down or if you lose your internet connection you can still operate the light from the lightswitch as you would with any standard dimmer switch.

I also managed to link the switch to my Google Home speaker for voice activation! (Amazon Echo [Alexa] is also supported)

Had the previous version on 8 LED dimmers and the switch kept blowing as its was overloaded. This one works much better, no issues after a few months.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLooks great and works great providing you use compatible bulbs, specifically if you are like the rest of the population moving to Led’s. Need to check that your leds are compatible as there are more that are not than those that are. Check the lightwave website first…

Easy to fit, even easier to setup. No need to change how you normally use a light switch, so guests and family don’t need instruction on how to “use” your house when visiting.

Using few of them for a year now. New firmware brought many new features. Really happy with them. Very reliable and fast to respond to command with HomeKit unlike many other HomeKit devices.

Golden Review Award: 50 From Our UsersBeautiful design, simple(ish) to install, unless you’re trying to fit a 2-way switch which Lightwave convenient doesn’t mention in BOLD that if you wire it like you would a normal switch you would irreparably damage it, but luckily I realised before attempting to do so. The wiring symbols are also completely different to conventional UK light switch diagrams, would be great if there was some comparable guidelines for wiring. Something simple like: COM = L, L1 = X, L2 = S. There, I saved them the trouble! Very responsive control from the app though, but the hub is enormous and hangs off the router like a tumor. The metal buttons on the switch itself feel a little loose too. Just missing out on the 5th star due to the lack of examples for various wiring setups (e.g. 2-way, UK standard symbols etc) given the cost.
