Great for the new M1 MacBook Ai
Got this for my MacBook Air with the M1 chip. Works great with MacBook closed and external monitor, Logitech camera, wireless keyboard and mouse and a headset.
Works better than expensive dock
I use this as a daily dock for an Apple MacBook. I had previously used an expensive branded dock and found that kept baking itself, this does get hot, but is behaving much better and has continued working for a longer time. It’s good value for money and has kept working for a long time.
MacBook Extensio
A real must when buying a new MacBook, given the limitations on plugging in other items. It is very effective and looks great. Pleased with this product, price & quality is excellent.
Essential for a new MacBook Ai
Bought this as I had a new 2021, MacBook Air. Due to the lack of ports on the new Mac, these plug directly in the usb c ports and work brilliantly.
First failed but sent another!
My first failed after 2 months, it got really hot and the hot weather probably didn’t help. Even though the return period from Amazon had ended the seller responded promptly and swapped it ou straight away. Can’t say fairer than that! The unit its self is running 2 28″ monitors at 4k at 60HHz so great piece of kit. Worth the money compared to other units and a good selle

Two external monitors, one plug in Dock
I use my Mac mostly with two external monitors. Mac is a pain as it needs i) power connected when using external screens with the lid closed; ii) a separate port per screen. When you use your Mac as a laptop you have two/three external connectors to disconnect.
With this Pro Docking station I am able to run two independent screens (not two screens showing the same thing) with my Mac closed and sitting nicely under my monitors.
Having also purchased Vaydeer stand from Amazon, I have one USB from the dock connected to Vaydeer data C port and I can leave my external camera and Jabra conference speaker permanently connected to my stand.
The dock connects to two ports on the Mac and feels solid when connected. Connection cable is long enough to have the dock resting on the desk while my Mac is sitting on the stand.
I have 5 separate adapters (different configurations and connections) which will now be confined to my travel bag / drawer of doom!.
As with all accessories, not sure how long it will last or how well it will perform on reboot / dismount etc. but so far it has tidied my work station and has done what I bought it for.
Versatile produc
I wanted to drive 2 monitors from my (not mirrored) MacBook Pro and this was on the products to offer that. It worked immediately and flawlessly. I have one small problem and that is that as soon as I plug anything in (eg USB stick) the screens go blank for a second. It’s as if the circuitry stops all output as soon as it discovers something new attached. It’s only a minor inconvenience but that’s why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise, very pleased with the product.
BIg Sur support out of the box
Works well. Ethernet support with Big Sur out of the box. All the options work well. In addition it’s well made and sturdy, good for being carried around in a computer bag.
Multi-port dongle thing
What Amazon would ask me to rate ‘Camera quality’ and ‘Thickness’ for this product is beyond me. However, it seems to work.
great docking station at a reasonable price
I have had an HDMI extension for two screens that did not work with Mac as it was duplicating the screens. This one worked magic – I did not even have to play with the settings, it just worked in extended mode instantly. With a few extra USB ports, I can also connect my headset, keyboard, and camera. One note – my camera did not work great with the hub as the video was freezing on the conference calls. However, I believe this may have been because of the camera because the old Logitech one works just fine.
I can highly recommend this one, it is very nice and compact, too.
Great Purchase
I just bought a MacBook Pro and needed an adapter to go along with it. Saw this and it looked decent and the price was affordable. Had it arrive next day and I am quite impressed of the quality. Everything works as it should and USB’s show up straight away on Finder.
Overall, I am very satisfied of this purchase and I would highly recommend it.

Strange behaviou
When the device it’s too close to my MacBook Pro the WiFi drops, but it’s supplied with a really short connecting cable…
Reports of these hubs doing this are all over the internet but they still make them with a reall shirt cable, I will be replacing mine soon with a desktop stand up version but it does work properly if kept as far away as possible
I don’t normally bother typing reviews! I have been having issues with another port block purchased recently saying printer fault and conflicting with a scanner recently added! Plugged in this unit and this fixed all my conflicts! Money well spent!
Like many, I have had to work from home during these lockdown times. Doing this for a long period of time on a 13 inch MacBook Pro was a nightmare, as my work really needs a dual screen setup. For relatively little money, this docking station makes my life so much better! Only improvement I could ask for, would be a couple of usb c ports on there, and maybe a couple less usb a ports (most of my cables have been switched over to usb c when I got the MacBook). Excellent value for money! Works a treat! Very happy with my purchase!
Quick delivery and good value for money. Connected two 4K screens a back up drive and web cam into docking station, and all worked first time. Note from my photos you need two USB-C inputs which are standard on the Macbook Pro later version laptops.
I’ve finally found the perfect dock for my 2020 13″ MacBook Pro! (not M1) I’ve tried 4 that promise what this actually delivers and at a fraction of the price.
It’s small but perfectly formed and feel good quality too but only time will tell.
Plug in the double USB C connector and it happily runs my 2 Samsung 28″ 4K displays @ 60Hz as it promises to do in extended mode.
Gigabit ethernet and lots of USB connections top it off.
Don’t waste 200 + on other docks, buy this one!

This dongle just works! Its very light weight, so as I am primarily using it whilst at my desk I know that it won’t be too much trouble to carry around when travelling (hopefully once this darned lock down is over!). i was specifically looking for one with dual HDMI ports so that i could connect to my two Samsung monitors for better productivity. I had to look for one that was reasonably priced that allowed me to do this and had the flexibility of additional ports (USB 3.0, Ethernet, headphone/mic, SD card etc).
Its smart looking too – very closely matches the space grey of my MBP with an unobtrusive logo and other symbols for the ports, which are placed correctly if a little small.
Its solidly built albeit from plastic and I like the fact that it has a blue light to indicate its got power running through it to charge my MBP 13″ 2020. I’m using the Apple charging cable and original Apple charger with the dongle, which has been working fine. The unit does get warm after a period of use, but not so much that it is concerning. I tend to unplug it from my MBP in any case when not in use.
I did question whether i really needed this dongle, as my monitors have a USB C and 3 USB 3.0 ports. This means that i can connect my MBP directly to either monitor using one cable only which allows me to charge my machine and transfer data – if I pop a memory stick/external drive into one of the USB ports in the monitor I can read/write data to/from it.
The dongle is more convenient though, accessible at the back of my desk without the need to reach round to the back of my monitors.
The cable is a little stiff, but I like this in my current set-up. As you can see from the photos it just looks cleaner – seeing cables really grinds my gears!
Someone else posted in their review that they’d added feet to the bottom of their dongle. Took this tip on board and stuck on some spare white ones I had saved from a previous gadget/DIY furniture item. I knew they’d come in handy some day!

I don’t know what I would do without this! Best purchase of the year for me haha. Small, fits perfectly in the bag and useful! I can charge my phone while using usb stick and don’t have to worry about millions of cables and extension.

Like most people find, the lack of usb ports on the MacBook Pro is frustrating to say the least. Having to buy adaptors for each of my usb devices was pricey and a nightmare trying to fit them in if you have more than 1 on each side. This little gadget has solved my problems and works a charm! Had multiple devices plugged in and no issues.
Feels solid and well built. Shows good performance (1Gb/s) through the Ethernet adapter so a worthwhile upgrade over wireless. USB ports (both A and C) work well.
I’ve put some little rubber feet on it just to soften contact with my desk.

I ordered this as I recently purchased a new mac, A2141 model. Instead of purchasing a load of new cables, I thought this was the easier option. The USB 3.0 ports feel quite sticky when plugging in/taking out cables, but other than that it does the job! I haven’t tested the memory card slots yet. Anyway, happy with this adapter.
It works just fine
The interface seems to be alright, is very sturdy though and I jsut backed up half terabyte and it did not hve any problems or whastover so , in general so far is very good. Glad with the purchase and jsut hope it last forever ( at least 10 yrs ) will see aobut that.

In reply to Grace’s email. Apologies for taking this long to review this piece of kit. It was a gift to my son who only recently received it as I could not give it to him before because of the lockdown. He tried connecting his external hard drive and it didn’t register. He tried to connect to the printer via the usb port and nothing. So we are not sure why it is not working. If I plugged it into the printer should it work or not? If he cannot make it work can I return the item or perhaps you could advise me how he could use Brother printer with MacBook Pro 2017, is that possible?

A nice looking, seemingly well built USB adapter. I should probably give it 5 stars overall but I just can’t shake there fact that there are cheaper ones which do the same thing.
Easy to use
I love this product and it is very easy to use. The three ports means that I can easily connect three different things at the same time. Working from home during the lock down has been a breeze with this; I have been able to connect my access reader and hard-drive at the same time. Would recommend. Bit on the heavy side but still worth it.
Works perfectly
I purchased this item just before Covid19 kicked in and I had to work from home for the first time, I ordered this as I wanted to use a USB adapter which enables me to access work files and a mouse at the same time. Every single day I use this equipment and never once have I had any issues.

I’ve had problems with previous adaptors and I bought this one because I was desperate. Hasn’t given me any issues what so ever, I am so pleased I bought it. I wasn’t sure if it was going to work as I though it was cheap but and so happy because it does and being a student is not easy and this has definitely saved me many times.

Absolutely perfect for the MacBook Pro – with its lack of USB ports and card reader!
This makes up for everything the Pro is missing. It is plug and play straight out of the box – plug it in and then you can plug in up to 3 USB devices at the same time along with an SD card and a Micro SD card at the same time!
Very good investment, and has saved me lots of hassle and a USB port! So far with a few weeks use, I haven’t noticed any issues or had any complaints with it. It’s worked every time.
It is made from a metal body and does have a nice weight to it. It’s not a cheaply made, flimsy plastic hub. This one does have a bit of style about it.
