The BO3710/2 is a 240V compact and lightweight Orbital Sander, with a powerful 190 watt motor with electronic ignition, to deliver up to 22,000 strokes per minute and 11,000 orbits per minute for efficient and smooth finish sanding. The BO3710/2 easily fits into the user’s hand and provides a sure grip and easily handling, whether in a single or double handed operation.
BO3710 is equipped with a rigid aluminium foot for increased durability, large 2 finger trigger switch with conveniently located lock-on button for continuous operation and a large rubberised clamping lever for quick and easy abrasive paper installations and removals.

Good for finishing. It leaves no marks at all.
Might consider buying this than a more expensive random orbital sander.

I have used Makita tools for many years. I have found them to be good value and long lasting. This sander is no exception, the sand paper is easily fitted and holds very firmly. It’s well made, sturdy and built to last, with very little vibration. Well worth the money, does the job perfectly.
Some sanders are heavy duty and some are too weak. This is definitely in between. I’m very happy with this purchase as one, it saves me buying stupid sanding pads that last about 2 minutes and 2 it gets the job done.
It’s hardly a festool RS sander but I imagine it’s the next best and a lot cheaper. I mean for the price of 30 what a bargain. Feels sturdy when using it so I hoping it has a long life.
I’m thrilled with my new sander and wish I had bought it years ago. My son and grandson recommended the Makita brand as being good quality at a good price At 75 my fingers are not as strong as they used to be so this sander has made renovating elderly wood in a Georgian house almost a pleasure to do. Smoothing wood filler to a perfect finish, ready for painting, is now so easy.

Makita es sinnimo de calidad y ms con este modelo que la primera vez que lo compre fue hace 10 aos, esn tan fcil de usar que entren a la chica de facturacin de la empresa, dice que le sirve de terapia y relajacin para las manos, de tanto tiempo con el mause y teclado la entiendo un poco.
En fin, cualquier lijadora de Makita, ya sea sta o alguna orbital les servir, pero recuerden que es para acabados, as que procuren no sobre-esforzarla.
Definitivamente comprare otra, ahora que me la han vuelto a robar.
After blowing up 2 cheap sanders I decided to spend a bit extra on a quality sander as some of my other tools are the same make & have had no problems with them.
What a difference, the sanding is smooth & don’t take chunks out when sanding internal corners als this is the first sander I have found that actually holds the sanding sheets properly & also tensions the sheet so it’s less likely to tare. Worth the extra money !

Works well, and gives a good finish. The small bag/box to catch the dust saves spraying it all over the patio, it fills up quite quickly but is easy to empty and change.
Like all sanders you get quite a lot of vibration so if you use it for a long time in one go it might make your arm ache, but this one is no worse than others I have used. Overall a good product at a competitive price, would buy again.

Sands well and runs cool. The only annoyance is the trigger lock, which is difficult to engage and pops off easily.

Having owned many cheaper and inferior Sanders I decided to push the boat out and purchase one of these. This is a quality product with a superb lock up system, the sandpaper punch is also an added bonus as I always attach the sander to my Henry vacuum. Buy with confidence.

I’m a professional decorator and it’s brought a new dimension to my work.
The only thing to be careful of is the purchase of sanding padsm. Please check the size of pad on the sander as not all pads avilable on Amazon fit.
The sander is quiet in operation and tjeno dist extraction works really well.
Fortunately it comes with a template so I can use the rolls of sandpaper from my decorator’s merchants and cut to size.

This was bought for my husband, a carpenter, to use as a replacement for an old sander. So far it has been reliable and effective in use.

No speed regulator in BO3710.
If u want adjustable speed go for BO3711
I am using for DIY Project I need large surface area and sand paper that can be found in regular shops overall worth buying i got it for rs4400 on april 2021.
Two cons wire length is small also warranty should be more than 6months.
Conclusion go for it.

It was worth paying a bit more for a solid product, particularly like the sturdy spring clips at the front and back to secure the sanding sheet which are easier to fit than the wirey spring clips that are at the side of other cheaper brands.
his replaces a cheaper bosch sander which lasted me for years but this one seems to not have as much vibration and its not as noisy. hopefully it will last me for years because it wont get used every day.

yet again another well made tool by makita, easy to use and collects most of the dust.
Got this to replace a cheaper sander that broke. So glad I did as I now know that sanding is a lot easier with a good machine. I used it on floorboards which is a backbreaking job but this sander made it so much easier.
Quite happy with the purchase. Found it hard to believe that such a cheap zipper used on the dust bag. Its the reason for the 4 stars! and not 5 stars.
I liked the size. It is big enough to do a larger surface unlike smaller handheld sanders. The sandpaper was easy to install. I would definitely recommend this.

This sander performed exactly as advertised. East clamp system to hold sandpaper in place and a handle lock button to allow both hands free during longer sanding jobs. Very happy with this sander!

Mainly liked the paper loading, much easier and sturdier than some competitors.
Great sander, easy to clamp sanding sheets into place. Clamps lock so well and not in the way of side panels if your are doing an interior area. Used this to sand replacement boards for a garden bench I was refurbishing. You can also buy an optional sanding base that can be used with sandpaper that has hook and loop on the backside. The Sander is a little noisy, but nowhere near my previous one that died. I am very happy with the purchase.

This is so quiet. Was anxious about annoying neighbours but once on I completely relaxed. It’s powerful and does the job in no time but for me the other was the gentle hum rather than the chainsaw brrrrrrr that accompanied my previous sander.
Makes much less noise than my previous one. Clamp on sandpaper perfectly, never slip during sanding. The hold button is what we call good engineering, making me not have to hold the press button all the time. A good buy.
Knowing Marita is a good, sturdy make, I bought this to replace one I gave to my daughter. It is a very manageable size, not too heavy and works very effectively. The paper is simple to attach, a spring and clip design. Although the bag does not collect all the dust, none of them do in my experience. I recommend it.

Me lleg a tiempo, el producto se ve muy bonito ahora solo falta probarlo y valorar el desempeo.
Was really pleased with this little Makita. Sanded all of the woodwork in my hall/stairs/landing over a 2 day period (and there was a lot of it!) right back from horrible varnished down to the bare wood. It took some time, but this machine was more than capable. Only slight problem was that it’s difficult to get it into all of the bits that need doing as it’s a bit cumbersome, but that’s the only drawback I felt.

I liked the feel of the grip and the clamps for the paper.
The only draw back is about the same as any other brands; the dust collection bag sticking out the back making the sander longer to use in tighter areas.
I particularly like the “punched plate” sole which give the option of using sheets of generic sandpaper and using the supplied punch plate to make holes which allow the dust to be extracted and collected; all done in one simple operation. Moreover the securing mechanism for generic sandpaper is very efficient and holds the paper well. There is of course the option of buying a “hook and loop” sole in order to use pre-cut sheets of “hook & loop” paper.
The handles are well positioned and comfortable and the trigger and hold-on button do not interfere when pressing down on the sander. My only small criticism is that IMO the “trigger + hold-on button” system is a bit pointless; with this type of tools one either wants it “on” (for a significant length of time) or “not on” (when it’s not in use) so a simple on/off switch on the side of the handle would have been adequate instead of having to operate the trigger and the hold-on button simultaneously every time.
Overall a very efficient tool which produced a great result.

The bag actually collects dust! I empty it every hour or two of using.
Only flaw on this thing is the location of the trigger-hold. But not so much that it’s bothersome.

WHAT A GREAT MACHINE , I GAVE THE BOSCH SANDER 100% BECAUSE IT DID A GREAT JOB UNTIL THE HOLDING PAPER CLIP CAME OFF WHEN IN USE DISSAPOINTINGLY SO I MUST GIVE THE MAKITA 200% SATISFACTION NO LOOS PARTS TO COME ADRIFT A REAL PLEASING MACHINE THATS GET JOB DONE HIGHLY RECOMENDED
