The DHP481Z is powered by 18V Li-ion battery (not included), with 2 mechanical gears to deliver up to 2,100 rpm high speed and 550 rpm low speed and 31,500 ipm high speed and 8,250 ipm low speed.
The DHP481Z is a cordless Combi Drill with variable 2-speed transmission for a wide range of drilling, fastening and hammering applications.
The brushless motor eliminates carbon brushes, enabling the motor to run cooler and more efficiently for longer life and is electronically controlled to optimise battery energy use for up to 50 per cent longer run time per charge.

Was ich nicht verstehe, warum man dafr keinen Waffenschein oder Eignungsnachweis vorlegen muss. Das Gert ist einfach nur Brutal. Der Griff keine unschne Zierde. Hier ist Kraft im berfluss vorhanden. Optisch sieht man diese, abgesehen vom Zusatzgriff, nicht wirklich, da kompakt und kurz. Gewichtsmig lsst es einen aber bses erahnen. Man sollte Ehrfurcht vor diesen Gert sein und immer aufmerksam beim nutzen. Sich an ntiges Drehmoment rantasten.
What a great tool! Packed by less intelligence than a monkey!! The box . drill had no protection on the bottom, the drill just sat there and a pile of rubbish on top so ‘NO’ protection from the ground. I was stunned it wasn’t in pieces or wet through. However it arrived early and works. Love it.

Obwohl kein Leichtgewicht, liegt er perfekt in der Hand, ist leicht zu bedienen, weil er sehr gut austariert ist.
Bedienungsschalter und -schieber sind perfekt erreichbar und rasten gut ein! Auch die beiden hellen LED Leuchten erleichtern die Arbeit ungemein.

Y el consumo de batera es bajo con un ritmo de trabajo brutal.
Wie in einigen Tests erwhnt ist der Stromhunger gefhlt 30 Prozent grer als bei einem aktuellen Hilti oder Metabo, aber das war fr mich nicht relevant.
Fr alles, was unter 8mm Schraubendurchmesser stattfindet, ist das Gert aber einfach zu schwer, um damit noch komfortabel ber lngere Zeit zu arbeiten. Hier verlasse ich mich weiter auf meinen 12V-Bosch-Blau und auf meinen wesentlich leichteren “alten” Makita…

Absolute brute of a drill. Have yet to find anything that it won’t torque into oblivion, including my wrist. Recommend using the supplied supplementary handle if using on high-speed and suspect your bit may bind up on something. Jobs not requiring the torque may not justify the heavy weight penalty and I would not recommend this as a gift for children or girlfriends.
Drill holes in concrete lintels and mix mortar with this and save on gym membership.
Empleado en la construccin me permite realizar todo tipo de perforaciones y coronas en porcelana, metales, plsticos… Donde el martillo ligero DHR243 se pasa, utilizo este por sus revoluciones y su percutor. El ms potente de Makita, tiene un mandril de boca ancha que te permite utilizar husillos de mayor tamao y es de metal con lo que aumenta su durabilidad.
No la utilizo como atornillador aunque cumplira su funcin sobrada, considero que pesa demasiado y esa funcin la realiza el atornillador de impacto DTD152.

Hello,so the product arrived today ,just tested it works fine ,apart from a little weird noise ,but that might fade away in time ,drill looks superb solid construction I have a 5amp battery on it,so far so good ,I expect a lot from this brand, mostly because it is well known for quality and durability, I will come back with a further review later on .Good quality drill.
P.S. The price is a bit hefty ,not because of the seller which sells this drill for a lower price than other sellers,in general this product has a hefty pricetag,let’s see if it worth it.

Very happy with this drill. I had bought a Makita black edition hammer drill which is no comparison to this one that I bought. Has the power and able to drill into anything. If you buy this drill it’s worth every penny.
It is a very good Makita drill one thing I wasn’t happy about the box has the hole in it the drill has got some damage on the writing when I first got it out the box
Another A* from makita, the drill might already be a few years old but it still performs pretty well. This is by no means as power as a milwaukee but still for the age and price its not that bad. Whether it was worth the upgrade is questionable but this drill is already dated and if you need a drill it might be worth waiting for next years makita releases

aber eine 8x 220 Sprax in Lrchenholz ist absolut kein Problem.
Ebenso ein mit 68mm Kreisschneider durch 10 cm Lrche.
Auer wenn er sich frisst, dann dreht er dir das Handgelenk ab wegen der Power.
So soll es sein bei der Kraft die er hat.
It came in less than two days, the box was in perfect condition and so was the drill. I compared it to my 14 year old Makita LXT400 (love Makita’s products) and side by side you can see the size difference by shrinking the back (brush-less technology), which makes a lighter, and powerful. Looking forward for many years to come of DIY projects.
Zur Maschine selbst. Ja, wie bereits angesprochen ist das Gewicht recht hoch. Aus meiner Sicht ist die Maschine jedoch perfekt ausbalanciert (nur mit den 5ah Akkus getestet) wodurch auch lngere Arbeiten kein Problem darstellen. Ich habe ber das letzte Wochenende hinweg an 3 aufeinander folgenden Tagen jeweils ca 10h ununterbrochen damit gearbeitet ohne Probleme an den Handgelenken zu bekommen. Meine Frau, das muss man klar sagen, hat jedoch Probleme die Maschine ber einen lngeren Zeitraum zu nutzen.
Im Rahmen der bisherigen Nutzung wurden ca. 500 Schrauben in Weichholz, 50 6mm Bohrungen in Betonfundamende und 8 14mm Bohrungen in Waschbetonplatten und Beton vorgenommen. Die Maschine hat alles mit Bravour gemeistert.
Der Energiebedarf bei letztgenannten Lchern ist naturgem natrlich hoch.
Der zustzliche Griff ist absolut zu empfehlen, besonders im Bereich des harten Bohrfalls bei dem die vollen 115nm anliegen. Eine Unachtsamkeit kann hier ansonsten schnell zum Verkanten und in der Folge zu schweren Verletzungen im Bereich des Handgelenks fhren.
Tena el DDF481(sin percutor) y estaba encantado para montajes va genial es algo pesado y tiene algo menos de fuerza que el ( WURT ABS 18 POWER)
Pero igual de bueno si necesitas hacer taladros en hormign los hars sin ningn problema y en ladrillo hasta sin percutor por la velocidad que tiene la verdad que es una maravilla de mquina y no…. No se te quedar corta!
Lourd par rapport d’autres visseuses mais fonction percution et moteur brushless.

Seriously packs a punch, more feels more powerful than an impact in some cases, only downside in my opinion is it’s a bit heavy, and can make the arm ache a bit if you’re using it to fix things above head height.

Bin begeistert. Habe schon ein Paar Lcher in den Wnden gebohrt, geht wie durch Butter. Und man braucht keine Trommel oder Kabelverlngerung.
Gewohnte makitaqualtit. Preis/Leistung passt. Hat genug Power und ist handlich. Egal ob schrauben oder bohren von kleineren Lchern in Holz oder Stein, es funktioniert sehr gut.

I’ve decided to refresh all my powertools and exchange the old ones on eBay for money. I don’t really use the combi much as I use a rotary and impact, so the combi is relegated to wood drilling and using for screwing and impact in a pinch or if I need 2 tools in use for speed and ease. I wasn’t expecting much difference but the brushless tools are a big improvement, I really could tell the difference straight away. Very torquey, the chuck is better and doesn’t slip on tightening, the trigger is much improved now much more controllable. Settings are ‘selected’ much better, the tools is smaller but the weight is still there so could be a problem for long period use. Bettery indicator is very useful as is the bright job light, grip is very comfortable and ‘grippy’ It’s so nice, I don’t want to get it dirty. Pair with a 5.0Ah battery and it’ll be a beast. Very good value at this price. I might start using it more often. People will tell you buy the cheap tools as you won’t use them as much as a trades, well they’re wrong, you’ll do a lot more jobs, you’ll find more jobs, jobs will be a pleasure to do and they will be easier and get done quicker and better.

– Kraft ohne Ende. Ich bin ehrlich beeindruckt und das in dem kleinen kompakten Gert
– Energieverbrauch ist enorm, gerade im Vergleich zu meinem lteren Model. 5Ah Akku ist m. E. n. Pflicht, sonst hat man keinen Spa, klar Kraft braucht Energie, doch ich denke hier liee sich noch was optimieren
– Meine wirklich grte Kritik ist das Bohrfutter. Beim alten Modell komplett Metall, auch nach Jahren kein Problem. Hier wirkt das sehr leicht, scheint mir eine Art Druckguss zu sein. Da htte ich mir wirklich ein Rhmbohrfutter gewnscht.
Die Bedienung des Gertes ist durch die Kompakte Bauweise etwas anders als ich es gewohnt bin. Damit kommt man mit der Zeit aber bestimmt zurecht.

That s a very strong tool. If you are only using it form time time and won’t drill in concrete it will betook much for you.
It’s heavy, I’m not a small lady at I work out but it’s heavy and got big torgue so it moves n my and. I need to holding in two hands
Battery charger is bit loud because of air cooling it so I would recommend to put in tore room for charge
Super produit, makita toujours au top ! Une puissance norme, par contre il faut tout prix utiliser la poigne pour les gros forts si vous ne voulez pas vous enrouler autour quand elle bloque ! Par contre elle est un peu lourde pour des petits travaux, trs bien en complment d’une seconde plus petite.
This drill can drive a car lift easily up to 1500Kg. It’s possible to use it with smaller Makpac’s but they will drain relatively fast when using it for heavy jobs. 3-5Ah is recommended. The drill does not reach its maximum torque if the battery gets drained under 50%.
It’s compact, relatively light and sturdy.
I’m very satisfied with this buy. I’m using it for eveything now from small screwing on car interiors to drilling big holes in stone walls/ metal/, … since its energy consumption is the same for jobs my other drills could do. My only mistake was that I didn’t buy this one from the start.

Concernant la perceuse en elle-mme, comme les autres outils de la gamme Makita 18v, elle est solide d’aspect, bien quilibre, bonne prise en main et mme si sa percussion ne rivalise pas avec celle d’un perfo (normal, perceuses et perfos ne jouent pas dans la mme cour), les premires utilisations mettent en vidence des performances remarquables. Sur le choix de l’outil, aucun doute, c’tait le bon pour moi ! Seul bmol sur la poigne surdimensionne mais j’ai vraiment un gros doute sur le fait qu’il soit celui d’origine, il n’est ni pratique (carter les bras pour tenir une perceuse, quelle ide !), ni adapt (un si grand axe dnote par rapport la taille menue de la perceuse… mon perfo bosch 18v est 2 fois moins large !).
Vraiment trs puissante et surprenante ! Cette perceuse peut tout faire 🙂

What can I say-Makita is a quality product. Used all week to build and strengthen rear garden gates. No problems seen with this drill, nice feel in the hand and has good torque for drill driver. If anything like my other drill (18v with brushes), then I will be very pleased with this product.
Very powerfull for its size, if not a little to powerfull, needs care if using to drive screws as very easy to screw them sttaight through the job !

Para uso profesional es la mejor herramienta que he tenido, tiene una fuerza brutal y la bateria dura muchisimo. Tengo mas aparatos Makita con la misma bateria con un solo cargador para todas.

This got sent to me in bubble wrap and a box which wasn’t very good but I suppose they didn’t really have any other way of packaging it.
The best cordless drill I have used yet. Brushless motor is an obvious improvement over the brushed motor. The drill doesn’t get nearly as warm when mixing mortar etc. Run time is also excellent.

After four years of usage, this drill is still going strong. The only issue I’ve had is with the side handle, which I replaced easily.

The drill is worth every penny in my view it’s very powerful got everything you need well built ,in fact it can be to powerful when screwing in screws like going into deep into the timber and striping the heads of the screws and drill bits so it’s worth investing in some good quality drill bits.the secret here to driving screws in is to gentle press the trigger on and of not continues.
The drill itself is light without the battery but when I put the battery on which I have the 4amp it does become heavy after using it on and of for the day so remember this if purchasing.
Overall though this is the best drill on the market in its class,you will not be disappointed and with a three year warranty you go wrong.
