Yes it’s a nice iron with a longer cord/steam pipe than others which makes it easier to iron. The biggest problem is that the my wife has small hands and for her to grip the continuous steam button, underneath the handle, she has to move her hand forward on the iron which means she catches the extra steam button on top of the handle. This is a problem since extra steam gives a extra burst for a few seconds and then you have to wait about 5 seconds until continuous steam resumes. My wife kept thinking it was broken as the steam was intermittent. I don’t why they didn’t make the top steam button less sensitive or move it further forward to it need a deliberate thumb press. In the end we returned it and bought a lesser model without the extra steam button which is fine but the cord/steam pipe is now shorter which requires more accurate positioning of the iron base with respect to the ironing board

My other iron finally stopped working but I was so happy with it that I bought the same one again.

Very easy to use and great for bedding and shirts. Has a good capacity water tank that can easily get through three loads of washing without a refill

Bought this to update from a previous model I’d had for 12 years.
Like the lock feature for carrying.
Heats up very quickly and much quieter than my previous model
Great steam pressure., can get through a basketful of ironing in no time.
Quite expensive but I got it on an offer ( 30% off)

I have always had Morphy Richard’s steam generators and this has replaced my previous model of the same quality
I would say the cheaper model is not so good and certainly doesn’t iron so well it’s worth spending the extra money for this iro

When the original iron gave up, and it was very well used, we had no hesitation in purchasing the same model again.

Love the light weight and length of steam pipe. What I didn’t get is a button for constant steam that doesn’t need you to hold the boost button at all times.

This steam generator replaced my tefal one which was very old and burned out. This one self cleans which my wife loves, the only thing is the ratio of tap water to distilled water is 50:50 so get a measuring jug.

The iron is great, no two ways about it, the irons are really very good. However, there are no available parts, so if a switch breaks or the pressure valve washer disintegrates (as mine has) you have to throw away the iron if you cannot find a new part that will do the job (stand up to the pressure etc). Would I buy another? No I wouldn’t, purely because of the lack of parts. We had an issue with the micro switch that controls the steam burst, morphy richards sent me three new irons! Clearly they had a bad batch of switches and it wasn’t until I’d thrown one away did I set about investigating what was wrong with them. So anyway, five stars for the iron and customer service, however there are no real serviceable parts other than the rubber grommets. If it goes wrong out of warranty, that’s it, it’s done (unless you can fix it).

So purchased this iron as it was a brand i have had in the past and thought the generator version would be a good upgrade.
So after 1 year of use its ruined countless white items of clothing and caused us to re-wash our bedsheets numerous times! due to its ability to spray out brown water.
Now before you all say….. ooooo tap water is bad…. hard water is bad blah blah blah i have always used de-ionized water made especially for use in steam irons so this shouldn’t be happening. And to add to its poor quality it constantly pours water out from underneath when in use soaking what ever it is you iron.

STEER clear of this iron & go for a different brand or you will be running 60 degree washes all weekend!
I would of been better off getting my 150 i paid for this pile of ***t and setting fire too it.

Despite all the negative reviews Super I found this steam iron super good to use. Yes it gets really hot, yes there is a lot of steam but that’s kind of the point isn’t it! It’s self-cleaning so better than my last one where I had to change filters. Yes there is some brown scale that sometimes come out so you just have to be careful on your first pass with the iron. Just steam on a part of the ironing board or a towel do you not using and everything is absolutely fine. It makes signing jeans simple, takes creases out of cotton shirts. Just a top bit of kit.

This iron is the best on the market , very easy to use, plenty of steam output , and easy ironed clothes , would definitely recommed . Wife does it all , sounds like a crackin machine when i hear the steam pumping out .. with the result i dont get any ear ache so i presume there is no creases ! WORTH A PURCHASE FOLKS

This steam generator is lightweight and simple to use. Ironing is much quicker with a steam generator. The iron locks into place on the base when not in use and can be carried very easily. The best feature is the automatic descale function which is a great improvement on the last one I owned as it wasn’t easy to do and I ended up dropping it.

We’ve used this iron for about one year. It’s worked well until something went wrong with the electronics and it stopped steaming properly. Mechanically it was sound but it wouldn’t operate as it should when the steam buttons were pressed – so my guess is that it’s a fault in the electronics.

The design of the iron is excellent and it’s self-cleaning function works really well in our medium-soft water area. When I examined the failed iron after one year of regular usage then there really wasn’t any scaling marks on the iron or body. The iron cleans itself regularly and saves you having to think about it. Just remember to empty the water container after every use to ensure that you empty the descaling chamber at the same time.

I mention poor support in the headline because when we accidentally melted part of the body we were unable to get it repaired and we were advised to buy a new iron. Apparently Morphy Richards don’t have any repair centres in the UK. Hopefully the law will change soon to force manufacturers to create enough spare parts to allow repairs.

I’ve replaced our failed iron with exactly the same one(!). When I learnt that the new irons come with a three-year guarantee then I felt it was worth taking the risk because it does a great job when its working.
