I bought my girl a number of gifts over Christmas and I think that she likes this best!
Turned out pretty good. Smaller than I thought it might be, but good experience for kids
So you aren’t as alarmed as I was when my kid opened it and I thought he’d just dropped the worse case of the runs all over our carpet…. it’s got ammonia in.. and seriously.. it STINKS really bad… really…really bad.
Be warned.
It REALLY should be on the front as a warning.

Bought for a Christmas present so it’s unopened for now. But the box arrived in perfect condition & looks to be very fun and educational.
As I have bought this as a Christmas present I really can not comment. Except to say on the advert it says recommended from 6-14 years but on the box it says not suitable for under 8 years.
6-year old recipient very happy with his gift and mum reports he is very excited watching his crystals grow.
Very good educational experiment for youngsters. Just a pity that there is only one experiment included, rather than a few to try out. However, it did exactly what it was supposed to and the results are perfect.

My four-year-old grandson loved this crystal kit was terribly excited at how fast it grew and was thrilled that it glows in the dark I would recommend it Daddies mummies help is required of course
Chistmas present. It was not that great. My 6 years old could not do much with it cause it involves hot water… plus his dad did it wrong so it got ruined…
The product seems like a nice idea though. My daughter would have loved it. Would buy it again.

Exciting Science Experiment Kit (however, can only give 4 stars as I’m waiting to see the end result)
I have bought this as a birthday present for my 7 year old nephew. All the National Geographic kits we have had so far have been excellent value and all have worked (which is essential if you are a kid), the kits have all had quick results usually, however, you need more patience for this kit.
This kit involves growing a crystal, that will form from the seed crystal and growing solution. Adult supervision is needed when starting this kit as boiling water is needed to dissolve the growing solution. (I would also add that the growing solution chemicals can be harmful if swallowed or gets in the eyes so make sure hands are thoroughly washed after doing this)
Once the growing solution is dissolved in the boiling water it needs to stand for a short time before the seed crystal is added. Then the fun begins but remember this is a slow process it will take up to a week for the crystals to form (Keeping it in a warm area will help speed the process slightly) and you need to try not to knock the container you are growing in.
My nephew was very excited by the process but he isn’t good at waiting for the results at the end, but he was happy with the kit.

I have a daughter who is very fascinated withrocks and gems. Thought I would give this a try and I’m glad I did! She was so excited and couldn’t wait to get going
Everything is included,My daughter is impatient so having to wait a few days did cause it’s issues.
But we followed the instructions to the letter and with in a few days it all happened my daughter was so pleased. Defo worth the buy Brilliant educational gift.

Bought as Christmas present so not yet used but instructions are clear and was well received. Received promptly.
What fun. I’ve obviously had to help my 7 year old with this and the crystal is growing safely on top of his wardrobe. I wanted to save this for Christmas but received it at a discount for a review so felt obliged to open it early. Kids always want immediate results with everything and there will be a disappointed look from them when they don’t have a fist sized crystal within the first hour. But give it a few days and the seed crystal grows.
These are great kits to have tucked away in a cupboard and pulled out when a birthday comes along.
