Do 5 stelle perch non trovo alcun difetto.
Plug-and-Play with Synthesia and it comes with some kind of subscription to an editing software (which I don’t use)
Purchased this keyboard for my son to help him gain a GCSE in music as this keyboard connects to his apple mac. He is very pleased with this keyboard. Good quality, delivered on time and very professional service.
I spent hours and days stressing out trying to find the right keyboard to attach to my iPad Pro to record my songs and then decided on this one and I’m SO glad I did! This keyboard is even better than I expected and it’s so simple to just plug in (the hub) and play! For the price this is a win win! I’m so so excited and can’t wait to record my songs!
This keyboard is ideal for music recording or playing on your PC. It does not have its own soundbanks. You must use it with a PC or a MIDI sound module. It works great with Digital Audio Workstations (DAW) for music recording and editing, allowing you to us MIDI controls on the fly. It comes with Nektar DAW integration, so it integrates with many DAW software. Key action is what you would expect of a synth keyboard with action keys (not like piano keys). And it gets powered through the USB cable, so no dealing with power cords. You plug it, start the software, and you are ready to go.
Just getting into midi and this keyboard is giving me hours of fun. In the past had and still have a yamaha pss680 from the 80’s it always annoyed me that the keys were so small. This keyboard has full size keys that are weighted/use velocity i.e.they recognise when you hit a note hard or softly. I went for the 61 key version as I wanted the ability to use more as a piano maybe should have looked at a 81 key version but also wanted to keep the size down, six of one etc. Easy to setup Im using reaper via a Zoom R8. Now experimenting with some of the free VST’s out there from the BBC Orchestra Pianos and mellatrons etc etc
Amazing value fot money. Semi weighted keys feel nice and definitely feels like a decent keyboard as opposed to something cheap. Would highly recommend
Really happy with this keyboard. Plug’n’play into a Mac with GarageBand. Comes with instructions for setup but you won’t need them.
Incredible value for money, keys feel great and everything works straight away
Came very well packaged. Noticed some white greasy fluid under the keys. Is that normal? Not sure what purpose it serves. The keyboard works fine though. The form factor is nice and compact, takes very less space.
You don’t get much for 70 these days, and I was quite sceptical about this keyboard given the price. I must say, it’s really, really good value for money though. Build is lightweight but more than solid enough, and the action, whilst not that of a piano, is definitely good enough.
Plugged into my ipad with the supplied cable and a Lightning to USB cable, sold separately, and it worked immediately.
If you just want a simple midi keyboard on your desk for programming chords etc this may be a little long at five octaves, but if you actually want a keyboard to play it’s perfect.
The keyboard works very well. Although the materials are not of high quality the keyboard itself with its functionality way more than makes up for it.
Chose this usb midi keyboard to practice piano after researching many options – did not disappoi
I have recently started to work with Logic, I have never regretted I bought this Midi. It’s lightweight and very easy to set up and use.
The keys aren’t super uniform, as in here and there is a sharp edge I had to sand down with very fine sandpaper.
I’ve done quite a bit of playing on it, and manhandled it a bit, oh and I’ve lugged it around quite a bit.
Sofar no defects, all the keys and buttons work as they should.
For a very basic controller and the price it’s a decent tool.
At this price is very good value for money.
Keyboard feels good, plays nicely & integrates well with Logic.
Only reason not a 5 star review is you have to create an account, register your device ( which entails finding and entering the serial number) before you are able to download the drivers that will give the extra DAW functionality…. Not the end of the world but a bit unnecessary I feel.
It’s not an expensive weighted keyboard controller, but it’s far and away better than anything in this price range. The keys are full size and it’s very playable. The build quality is great, would definitely buy it again.
Does what it says on the box. Integrated easily with FL-Studio. Pleased with purchase for a first MIDI keyboard.
Great keyboard, keys are not too small easy to use goes well with my DAW set up is easy, amazingly light.
The only problem I have is with the sustain peddle it seems to mess up when I’m recording
Works well with my Mac BookPro. Good MIDI Keyboard. BITWIG Studio 8-track software is included and compatible with the latest macOS Catalina. Presets of Bitwig Studio sound much better than from GarageBand.
Is it suitable for beginners: yes, I see no problems with it.
Is it easy to set up: yes, software takes sometime to set up, but really only 20 minutes max.
Are the keys good: they are alright, it’s only 90 something dollars, so they are not terrible but not some grand piano.
Is it worth the buy: yes
Its good keyboard for professionals. Only works better with Bitwig. All the controller options may not function with other DAW’s. If you can upgrade the software its better. Otherwise you will get only few instruments and demo loops, 2 VST pluggins with given 8 track software
Extremely good value. Keys feel lovely to play and is compatible with all MIDI software including synesthsia. So so glad I bought this item, very good for learning on.
Pretty phenomenal build quality for the price, although bear in mind this product isn’t able to be used without being plugged into a computer with a midi compatible program open.
I got this a few years ago, in the midst of scoring a full-length feature, when my M-Audio USB port started to mess-up. Needed a quick replacement and grabbed this on Amazon. I believe that was in 2016, and it has served me well since. But recently, the pitch bend is screwing up. I load a VST, and it immediately offsets it up. When playing, it will randomly pitch up and down, ever so slightly, just enough to make it out of tune on an irritating, semi-tonal level. This has lead me to turning the pitch bend mod OFF when applicable for each VST, but it’s become far too time consuming and I will be looking to upgrade to a new synth.
For $90 this is a steal, though. I got THREE YEARS out of mine, and traveled quite extensively with it. So I’m not disparaging the product at all. Time to get something with more features, in any case.
It’s worth the buy. if you need a quick dependable music set up for travel that doesn’t call for a whole lot of extra stuff this is it. go for it!
Great keyboard for the price. Seamlessly integrates with studio one 4 and instrument, vst, kontakt etc. Worth every penny.
Perfect for my iPad and my laptop, the keys work perfectly and has the best functions for what I need. Exactly what is needed for practice, live performance and recording. I use this with iPad mainly, and it works with just about every keyboard/synth/DAW app I have
Very impressed with this, particularly at the price. I upgraded my workspace & needed a slimline basic controller for laying down keys on, to replace a Yamaha keyboard I had been using for years. I’d already spent a fair bit on kit as part of the upgrade so just wanted something cheap to “tide me over”, but I think I’ll probably keep hold of this for quite some time. Easy to set up & use, seems to integrate well with multiple DAWs with no hassle & – best of all – the keys play & feel like those of a far more expensive keyboard. You’re not getting hammer action by any means, but if that’s what you were expecting you’re looking at the wrong page. For 75 though, this absolutely smashes it.
I’ve used this to start learning to play piano, and the experience is comfortable and the keys feel nice and durable. As a midi controller it integrates well with FL studio and you can interface with most programs completely from the keyboard.
I’m using this to control some analog synthesizers. For an unweighted keyboard, the action is decent. Changing settings is simple and intuitive. The only complaint I have is that the key velocity output seems to be uneven with some keys being much more responsive than others.
I opened the box and plugged it in not expecting much, but was very pleasantly surprised, and I’m picky. I needed something to work with when away from the studio, and this thing is great. Much, much better than the other popular brand keyboard I had tried. I can actually take this and a laptop to a session and comfortably play a piano part. It’s a synth action, but it feels solid and has good velocity response (I checked to make sure it was playing many velocity levels). It has several velocity curves to choose from, which is great. You can program some of the controls to other functions- for instance, I changed the Transpose buttons to switch MIDI channels instead. There was a bit of lubricant (like vaseline) between a couple of the keys that got on my fingers- probably from getting hot during shipping (maybe upside down?), but cleaned that up and it was fine. I like the little light show it does with the lighted buttons when you turn it on, too. I love it, especially for the money.
It’s been more than a month of using this product and i think it’s really good at this price point. The only thing i felt is missing is better velocity-sensitive keys. If you’re someone who loves to play with the feel of the piano then it’s not for you. But if your work is mostly around music production then buy it blindly
What an amazing product! I love this keyboard and use it for every production.Definitely a recommendation from me to all producers.
Great Keyboard with relatively easy setup with velocity options. Only real problem for me is the inconsistency of the keys; they tend to feel plasticky at times and stuff near the tops of the keys. Overall a great bang for your buck especially if you don’t have a big deal or a keyboard stand.
My primary concern for buying a keyboard was that it was compact and lightweight so I could put it on and off my cluttered desk without fuss. For that, this keyboard excels. It has no “wasted” space for drum pads, oversized buttons, or worst of all, unused panel space. It is exceptionally lightweight but not to the point of being flimsy or unreasonably delicate. I could easily carry it and play it like a keytar. I do confirm one setback noted by other reviewers, is that the velocity curves are whack. I tried all the available settings for velocity curves and none of them come close to normal, like a real piano or the default setting on most keyboards. You tend to end up always playing too soft or too loud. So that takes some getting used to.
I use this to play Hauptwerk sample sets and it works great. Almost to the point that I’d consider getting another 2 or 3 instead of a legit 4 manual digital organ setup. It definitely doesn’t have the same feel, but for the price its a great temporary fix.
Wow. I’m quite surprised at how well built this instrument is, especially for the price. The keys feel fantastic, and the velocity response is outstanding.
The only thing I wish it had were screw holes so I could securely mount it to my stand, but it’s heavy enough that it doesn’t slip around. So overall I’m very happy and giving it 5 stars.
I have been using this now for about 12 hours and so far I am happy with it. I haven’t had any issues yet. At first glance, it looked like a toy considering the quality of the casing. I’m a little concerned if it gets bumped or slightly dropped so special care has to be maintained. It hooked up to my DAW very easy and the website provides easy instructions for whatever DAW you use. I wouldn’t take it out of the house or on the road as I mentioned my concern but it’s good for home or home studio with limited space.
Bought two of these for making an electronic organ and for this they are perfect. The keys are fairly stiff, which is ideal for me as it’s a similar feel to real pipe organ manuals. Doesn’t feel like a piano though, so piano players may be disappointed.
Hooking it up to PC was very easy.
Good basic midi keyboard. In terms of build quality and key action, it’s on par with M-Audio controllers.
One thing I don’t like is the implementation of secondary buttons. I prefer a one button equals one action.
A few years ago, I went to shop and purchased a NEKTAR IMPACT LX 49. After using it for two years, dust got accumulated and the pitch bend started malfunctioning. Since I was out of warranty, I did not contact Nektar support and purchased from amazon the NEKTAR IMPACT GX61 Midi. Before I thought of selling the old keyboard, I contacted the Nektar support just like that to ask how can I fix it. As I was unable to find any midi repair shops in my city. To my susprise, nektar support responded, and inspite of me being outside warranty period, they were kind and sent me a replacement pitch bend wheels to my home address, for absolutely free of cost and gave me instructions on how to fix it. I did it and it worked like charm. Now I have two keyboards. 🙁 I was both happy and sad. Happy because Nektar support was very helpful. Electronics are never perfect. We get issues. But the service must be good. And Nektar service is really good. Sad because, I did not contact them before and purchased a new keyboard. But the new keyboard is fine too, I am using both actually. One as extended Midi for much higher nodes.
So I am a professional music director working for actual feature films, ad’s, short films, documentaries. And this midi is perfect for it. It will easly work way better and the keys are semi weighted and really soft. They are responsive enough and the touch sensitivity works great. The functions on the keyboard work great too. When you lay hands on the keyboard, you feel good. The plastic used is perfect too. So GO FOR IT ! DONT THINK ! 🙂
I composed a lot of music with this. Works great !
I love using the gx61 ever since I got it out of the box. Very easy to program with any DAW. Portability is not that great, simply because it’s a long keyboard controller but this doesn’t stop you from getting around because of its decent weight. Overall this is great for beginners and it’s a bang for your buck.
After returning a midiplus i61 keyboard, I purchased this Nektar Impact GX61. It is an affordable keyboard controller with minimal features, and I think it is in excellent quality. The surface of the black keys are not as shiny as the white keys, so it does not get slippery. It was immediately recognized when connected to my DAWs. The pitch bend works great. The keys are made of plastic, and it does not feel the same as the hammer action keys, but I can still play piano pieces on this keyboard, whereas it was impossible to do the same on a midiplus i61. The only downside was that the white grease under the keys got onto the outer surface and into the gaps between white keys, and I had to manually clean up the mess with tissues. It does not come with a sustain pedal, so you might want to purchase it separately. Overall, it is a great portable keyboard controller, and I definitely recommend it.
Excellent rapport qualit prix.
I was looking for a keyboard with the ability to play midi through my DAW and wanted it to have variable velocities to be able to be triggered from each key.
The Nektar Impact GX61 has all of these things, and at a very affordable price.
This keyboard feels great, the keys are not too heavy, and the transposing buttons help wonders in the recording process.
I definitely recommend this keyboard.
The keybed feels pretty good compared to many out there in this price range. To bad the free software downloads are really not very good. It would be nice to include some host module sounds other than a very limited DAW software. MIDI I/O would have also been nice, but would add to the cost. Expression pedal jack would also be nice, but you can’t expect too much in this price range.
I was hesitant at first due to the low price. But this is heavy duty, professional and works with Reason, and my other DAWs. One of the best music instrument buys ever.
I am a songwriter-producer who has shifted gears into video editing. My previous keyboards were Yamaha and Roland.
I’ve had several midi controllers namely the Akai and the Nektar LX49. The controllers were great but seemed too heavy, too light (NEKTAR) and TOO WIDE (all) for my table, workstation.
I purchased the Nektar LX 49 when it first was released. Great integration with Cubase and Garageband, but too wide!
The keybed was ok. Overall a very good unit.
I sold it because it was too wide and wasn’t comfortable on my desk.
I’ve decided to get back into music production/programming and was looking for a new 61 key unit. I was looking at the Yamaha MX49 (blue my favorite color), but too wide, the 61 would be too long!
I was looking at the Novation impulse 49, too wide as well and dated looking.
I really wanted the Mini Ulta Nova or Ultranova, but it was just not the right fit at this time.
I stumbled across the GX line and decided to go with the 61 key.
It’s amazing. Build and overall feel is much better than the original LX. The transport keys, pitch wheel, and mod feel much better than I expected, given the price. Total integration to Cubase Artist and Garageband.
I would definitely recommend. The keys feel great. Totally 5-star product. Delivery was quick and item well packaged. Thank you Nektar and Amazon.
Given the price of this item (at purchase I paid 80) I don’t think you’ll be able to find another product offering 61 keys and some transport controls that also features a rugged metal chasis and responds as well. The biggest issue I have is the synth-action which can feel sluggish at times, often pressing further on a key than you would expect/or like. However, that’s synth action so it is what it is.
The transport controls are a nice feature and I have been using them a lot. I bought this keyboard to learn how to play keys/piano and have found it very comfortable and well constructed. I had overlooked this nektar keyboard as I had never heard the brand name and thought at the price it wouldn’t be what I wanted it to be. I was looking at more expensive keyboards that had more features like pads and sliders but at the affordable price range these products were largely made of plastic. Researching keyboards took me to the nektar impact and I’m really glad of it, love this keyboard.
If you want a cheap controller for recording stuff into a DAW then fine, this is great! Taken in context of the budget, you have a fully-functioning keyboard with velocity (but not aftertouch), responsive pitch and mod wheels, and some other controls. It’s also easy to plug & play via USB. I use it with Mixcraft DAW, and am very satisfied.
If however you are comparing this with a much higher budget or a piano keyboard then you will be disappointed. I’d say that the GX61 is best as an input device, and less so as a performance device. I have a full-sized electric piano and the keys on that are silky beautiful compared to the GX61 – but the piano is several times the price and bought for a different purpose.
Would I buy the GX61 again? Yes probably, because I very much doubt that spending more (perhaps double or more) on a MIDI controller will get you much better keys (you might however get a whole load of knobs and sliders!)
Hope this review is helpful.
This piano thus far is worth every penny and more! Don’t expect a Korg quality instrument (c’mon, folks), but the feel is great for a keyboard, though the weighted keys are a bit of a misnomer. It has the feel of a plastic keyed keyboard, so don’t get you hopes up there. The size and weight is awesome for tight quarters or gigging & the velocity sensitivity of the keys works really well. I believe it’s adjustable as it takes some force to get a really bold note. My FAVORITE function I haven’t seen on many of these is the transposition & octave buttons! No more painstaking changes or function combinations to change key, just a quick rap of the button! They are multi-color backlit, so you can tell at a glance if you’re up, down or in standard key. This was the main selling point for me. Can’t attest to the DAW functions as I use this for piano functioning exclusively. Very happy with my purchase!!!
Awesome product …after a lot of research i found it better then the M audio midi keyboard of the same price range…
The daw control buttons works perfectly with fl studio , presonus studio one 4 ,reaper ,ableton and bitwig…but in some daws you have to download a daw control setup from nektor official website..install the setups and you are ready to go.
Im using mostly it mostly with studio one 4 it works like a charm…..after buying this i dont have to go back to mouse again and again while playing my midi ..all major daw control functions are working perfectly …which inceased my work flow a lot…
Also its build quality is very good….it has a solid good quality plastic compared to other keyboards of this range……
Only bad thing is that it took total 9 days to deliver
…every thing is great with this midi keyboard
If you are new to midi keyboards i suggest you to buy this…you will not get any better keyboard then nekar impact gx 61 in this price range….
Excellent. Beautifully weighted keys, great range – one of the best MIDI keyboards I have ever had.
I spent just about a full month looking at midi keyboards. I definitely didnt have hundreds of dollars to spend on one, as playing and making tracks are my favorite hobbies.
Anyhow… lol the “nektar Impact” series seemed to be the most affordable, AND logical option after reading dozens of reviews, Youtube videos, and blogs.
I recieved the keyboard exactly 2 days later, right on time (which is amazing! Thank you Prime).
Huge box, but there was no packing to keep the product from tumbling around during shipment. After opening and making sure it hadn’t been damaged (which it was not), I plugged it into usb, and the drivers installed with one click. It lagged only at first, until I found out to enable ASIO audio device.
The Impact GX61 plays amazingly, for my first experience with this type of instrument I am blown away. I would strongly recommend this keyboard, especially when compared to a “mini key”, when these are full sized, and velocity sensitive.
We’ll see how it stands up to some daily playing, I’ll update if needed.
This thing is great. Low price, high functionality. Even works with a Yamaha sustain pedal. Remembers your settings in a saved session (at least in MainStage/Logic). Different colored lights indicate octave & transposition settings. Touch sensitivity dynamics work well.
It’s been 25 years since I bought my last keyboard, a Roland E-36. In recent years I’ve been using Virtual Instruments instead of onboard sounds to play piano and after some lengthy research decided to order this GX61. It feels like the perfect upgrade from what I’ve been used to for many years, keys that feel like piano keys in size but with slightly firmer feel from that of a home keyboard. It has a really nice touch. Setting up took a matter of seconds thanks to plug and play and I don’t need a separate power supply thanks to it being USB powered. The keyboard is very light weight too. Quality feels good and I’m really hoping it’ll keep me company for many years (although perhaps not 25 this time)
Even with velocity settings changes, sometimes it feels like you have to strike too hard to get the velocity you like. The keys feel pretty good for a non-hammer action keyboard made from plastic. Overall pretty nice, though.
The Nektar Impact GX61 Keyboard is a midi controller that operates via USB connection. There are many nice features that shine here, all of which can be read about in the product description, and all of which function excellently. But, the prominent feature is the keys themselves, they are just right. I could not have asked for a better interface for this price. I went for the 61 key (there is also a 49) because I really wanted to be able to jam, and I haven’t been able to stop since it arrived. I’ve tried it with Studio One, Pro-tools, and Ableton, as well as several indie VSTs, and this keyboard works great with everything. I’ve also been testing the included DAW, Bitwig 8-track, and it seems to be robust. With some of the programs, the assignable keys will need to be assigned for specific programs. Key weight is just right, and velocity sensitivity works great out of the box, but you can adjust it too. Pitch bend and modulation wheel feel and work great. I had looked at several other models, but I could not be happier that I went with Nektar. It’s a device that I can solidly recommend. If I ever upgrade again, I know what my 1st choice will be. Feel free to ask me questions I will be happy to answer all.
Works great, syncs up easy, really does exactly what I wanted it to do. IF, and this really is a small if…but if I were to give Nektar any constructive criticism – I would say that the keys are probably just a bit too stiff. Its well built, looks great, works great, etc…but I’d give it 5 stars…if the keys just had a bit more give to them.
Very good build quality. Keys are very nice. After 1to 2 months, I noticed some keys are more stiffer than others. But it’s no problem when using it. Black keys are definitely stiffer than white keys.
Hey everyone, I’ve been using this keyboard for over an year now, must say this a durable and robust 61 key controller.
Some good things about this keyboard are:
1. An awesome keyboard for computer music setup. Nektar GX61 has very few function buttons for midi parameter assignments but trust me when I say that the functions to which these keys get auto assigned to (ofcourse that can be customised), are the most used functions in a DAW, like opening the instrument interface or patch changing, transport controls, etc.
2. This keyboard is extremely portable and light weight but with robust build quality.
3. The price is very affordable but the build quality is not cheap at all.
4. I like the simple, straight forward design of this keyboard. Looks very professional with its ‘no-round’ edges and its control panel on its left (instead of at the top) looks like Doepfer midi keyboard designs 🙂
5. The keybed is nice, the action feels a bit springy 🙂 its velocity sensitive but not semi-weighted…. The keys are responsive.
Now, the only feature suggestion/advice for this keyboard is
1. The keybed, even after one year of use, works well, but makes slight key noises now. But thats not at all causes distraction as they are slightly noisy. But considering the price range, its definitely the best option available.
So overall this is a good keyboard for those who wants to play and record melody lines or chord in their DAW….. Definitely recommend this keyboard.
Probably the best sub-100 midi keyboard on Amazon at the moment. It feels more sturdy and better quality than the usual “popular” plastic brands out there. This appears to be hiding in Amazon and I nearly missed it!
5 octaves, 61 keys. It’s 38″ log and 8″ wide and wouldn’t look out of place on a proper keyboard stand. The keys at long enough (similar to those old Bontempi Keyboards). The keys have a nice feel. Of course they are not as soft as an expensive keyboard. Ok its plastic, but the keys are quite long and well spaced, so you don’t have to worry about playing, like you do on those 37 key things that fly all over the table.
I didn’t bother with the BigWiz free software as it is restricted to 2 VST plugins and 8 tracks encouraging you to spent a tonne of money to upgrade and the UI looked more complicated than Jean Michel Jarre’s workshop. So no thanks.
I used it on a 6-core Windows 10 PC using the Reaper DAW (probably the least expensive on the market) and noticed about a 1/3rd of a second delay (latency) which makes you hate USB. But do not dispair – just search the net for the ASIO4ALL driver and install it. Then in your daw just go to preferences and audio devices and swap WAVEOUT to ASIO4ALL and immediately your keyboard will play without no discernable latency!
There are 7 velocity curves and that will take you a little time to find one that suits your playing. I switched mine to hard velocity. Be careful if you choose “127 fixed”, you may soil yourself upon the lightest touch! To set, its just a case of hitting Setup, Velocity key on keyboard, 1-7 at end of keyboard and Enter, last key on midi keyboard, all functions are marked. There nice soft multi-coloured LED’s inder soft pushbutton keys.
There’s downloadable DAW drivers, providing you register your keyboard’s serial number (on the cardboard box it comes in), name/address/email and is available for all the popular DAWs and WIN/MAC OSX (Cubase, digital performer, FL studio, Garageband, Logic, Nuendo, Reason, Reaper, Sonar, Studio one) and templates are available for Ableton live and Avid Pro Tools. Once installed, you can control your DAW by selecting the control surface ‘IMPACT GX61’ in your DAW’s preferences.
Pitch bend and modulation feel just right and both potentiometers are assignable. There are 7 assignable midi buttons with a secondary layer (giving 14 assignable) . Power comes from the USB cable, from the PC – so it may not be powered should you decide to plug it straight into a sound module.
You can connect to iOS with a camera connection kit (not included) and there is a jack for a sustain pedal.
The keyboard has a weight to it that seems greater than the circuit boards I’ve held up in the past, it won’t slide about. There’s probably some artificial bricks in there. But no heavier than 2 laptops would feel.
It nice to be able to record; then press a key to fly back to track start; change instrument and record without having to reach for the mouse.
So far I am impressed. Now I need to find some nice VST instruments!
I have various master keyboards/ digital pianos but I wanted something small enough to mount on a pull-out keyboard support under my console. This is very simple, has everything needed, and does exactly the job I wanted. Criticisms: keybed not completely flat, but can’t feel it when playing. Not sure how robust it will be, but time will tell. Pros: simple, does not get in my way.
Nice keyboard for the price.
Word of warning: BitWig 8-Track is the most confusing computer program I’ve ever seen. It might just be me but I’ve made songs with other DAWs like LMMS before and after two hours I couldn’t even work out how to make BitWig make a sound. That’s not to say it’s bad, just not suitable for beginners!
Ok, it is nothing like the real feel of a piano. At all. however it is light and easy to maneuver. the keys are very light and plasticy which means you dont need as much force to push them down. the sustain pedal socket is perfect for a pedal to be used. the intergrated DAW was very useful with Studio One 3 which i use to do music production. it also comes with a free copy of Nektar’s DAW software.
The build quality is much better than I was expecting. The semi-weighted keys are excellent and a slight texture to the black keys make it a pleasure to play.
I haven’t had a problem yet been using it with fl studio but this is my first keyboard so i’m no expert xD
The best keyboard in budget, it will get the work done. Feels great with the keys, just no fancy automation knobs. Buy it without doubt if you are looking for a budget Midi controller or rather if you want automation knobs and faders you can go for Nektar LX Series.
Overall Best in budget, lacks in features like knobs and automation but you can adjust it through your DAW so no worries. Great Buy and thank you “PRO AUDIO BRANDS” for providing a great conditioned product and packaging, good customer service. If you are ordering it from amazon choose Pro audio brands as your seller.
I love this thing. The action is good, the velocity curve is nice and can be adjusted, the buttons can all be easily programmed. I like the square design and the fact that the keys have the closed front like piano keys. I just wish the wheel worked better.
Awesome keyboard and seamless integration with my DAW cubase 9.5 pro! Very impressed!
I love this keyboard, it’s quite resistent and I find the sound to be good. The only problem is sometimes experiencing some delay when hearing back the notes digitally, but other than that the sound is perfect.
I wanted to upgrade my 49 key Edirol midi keyboard controller but wasn’t too bothered about controllers with loads of faders, knobs, buttons which would have cost 3 times what this controller cost. The keyboard feel is identical to the Edirol so don’t expect anything near to a fully weighted keyboard, however, as a midi controller to be used with Logic Pro X you can’t beat it for value for money. Easy to set up with Logic and all the controls work with Logic perfectly. Yes it’s cheap, and feels cheap, but it’s functionality is excellent.
It’s great. The keys do become a little bit light after some hard use, but it still holds up very well. As someone that uses this keyboard almost every day, I can tell you that it’s just amazing for the money, the value is unbeatable.
Just what I needed, lightweight, fist in a soft case that I got from Thoman online shop in Germany, and now travels in the book of my car and links up to my iPad via am iPad Camera cable when I’m working away from home. No more nights just watching boring TV in my hotel room.
Also use this to link to my MacBook Pro with full integration into Propellerhead Reason DAW.
The overall build quality is good. Felt like the keys could have been a bit more stronger. I wanted an easily portable midi controller and it serves the purpose. Definitely a great deal for the price.
Daw integration was pretty easy. You just need to follow the instruction guide. I use Reaper DAW and could set it up in 10 minutes.
Regarding the delivery, the product got delivered in a day. Hats off to Amazon!!
I like it, my girlfriend who’s a grade 8 likes it, and it works very well with the macbook/apple logic X software. I bought a single pedal that plugs into the back of this, very easy, and a basic stand – bingo.
My only minor reservation with this, is the piano keys are quite noisy when pressed. Obviously if you have the sound/speakers/headphones turned up a bit, this isn’t noticeable, but that’s why it’s not 5*.
Very good product still, and highly recommended, for someone who likes to tinker around with music from time to time, requires a MIDI keyboard, but doesn’t need to spend several hundred to have all the bells and whistles on the physical keyboard.
Very nice keyboard just download the integration software from the official website install it and use it with Cubase or any DAW.
The key touch is smooth, I like it
Take it and you will be happy.
Easy to get working with Logic Pro X, including transport controls. Nice keybed feeling – keys aren’t weighted but have a nice springy action better than others in this price range. It’s compact (for a 61-key).
When it first arrived, I plugged it in, set it up (very easily) and started playing some instruments in LOGIC X. I didn’t like it at all. I felt as though the keys were too plasticky and springy and not sensitive enough for registering the entire range of each instrument. I put it to the side and spent an extra 300$ on another midi. After struggling to even set the new midi up, I put it to the side in frustration and plugged the NEKTAR 61 back in just to mess around on. After 2 weeks of using it I love it. I’ve done a complete 180 on this midi keyboard. I realized it was my own lack of ability to judge its value that led to me tossing it aside. If you are on a budget this thing is fine!
leicht, gnstig, stabil, MIDI-Schnittstelle, USB-Anschluss, Stromversorgung ber USB, , stufenlose Anschlagsdynamik, Pedal-Anschluss, Mglichkeit in Halbtonschritten zu transponieren; Plug&Play (ohne Treiber-Schnickschnack etc.)
I got this for my partner. She seems to like it. She says it is not at all like playing a real piano, but it works really well with the DAW she’s using (Reaper) and the synths she’s installed.
Unbeatable at this price. Keys feel really premium, not quite like a piano, but play really smooth with some resistance and very little physical noise`. Good for playing both dynamic piano pieces and fast synth style.
The keyboard is compact and very light, but not cheap feeling, fits nicely on my office desk to play in front of my computer.
The first one amazon sent out had 1 key that did not trigger at low velocity, so be weary of that, but they sent me another unit the next day which was perfect.
I want to 5 star this really bad but over the few months I can conclude this keyboard is good but does lack some quality features. When I received the keyboard it seemed as if someone punched in the box, obviously that could easily be transport but just as easily could have been retailer. I open it up keyboard seems fine, install the drivers etc get it setup through a MIDI piano website, works great easy set up!! Only real issue is the “weighted keys” that this product promised. This is my first MIDI keyboard so before I continue this I don’t have a lot of experience with these kinds but considering for the price I had assumed they meant actual nice feeling weighted keys, however these keys are plastic. Hollow even, they give the perception of a weighted key which is far better than actual hollow bottom keys but from advertised I was expecting something of better quality. From using this keyboard though I have to say it feels good, it does detect sensitivity to the impact of keys and how hard you press them but doesn’t compare to the real quality weighted keys! I hope this feedback helps some people!!
I really like Nektar keyboards. I just upgraded from LX25 to GX61. I love how simple GX is and they’ve done a great job keeping it compact. The keys feel good and the buttons on the left come in handy. I would highly recommend it.
I bought the 61 key version of this keyboard, and I’m really pleased with it. I use it with Cubase Elements and the onboard buttons come in really handy for controlling Cubase start, stop, record, rewind, looping on, volume etc – as do the octave and transpose functions. You can set the level of touch (velocity), and this is saved when it’s switched off. Being USB powered and quite light, it’s a 2 second job to setup when you’re feeling ‘inspired’. It’s only a couple of inches tall, so just about the right height for playing on my computer desk.
Apparently this keyboard comes with free 8 track software, but I haven’t tried it so can’t comment on that.
