I bought this thinking it was the larger version . It’s very well made and quite solid , I’m keeping it as I have bought the larger one too and use them both

Good quality product that the kids have got a lot of play out of. It’s very small, I was expecting a larger toy (my fault for not verifying the size), but its still done the job.
Fab fun toy.
This is a great toy for all ages, young and old. It is a small howler but perfect for taking camping or to the beach. I would have given it 5 stars but the tail came off after a couple of uses, easily glued back together and working fine again.

Product was smaller than I expected, my fault as I didn’t read the ‘pocket’ part of the description. But honestly better than a normal sized one, kept six grown men entertained for hours on a recent camping trip

Dog loves them!
Dog loves chasing after these in the field and playing fetch. Didn’t last too long though. We have had 3 now and they split down the middle after a couple of weeks (no the dog didn’t chew it). Would still repurchase though, just wish they lasted longer.
Smaller than expected
I was expecting something about twice the size. However it works really well and makes a great noise when travelling.

I normally buy the full size Vortex Howler. I was shocked at the size of this little bullet. I have to say it was and is the best fun I have had with my son out in the back garden. I will be buying another one just to have two on the go. Well worth the buy.
Goes for miles!
Bought as spare for the Vortex thrower (yes it does fit). Using it with the thrower probably won’t last that long as the fins scrape against the cup of the throwing arm but they go for miles! Quite expensive for what it is but I suppose it’s branded that’s why.

When they say pocket sized, they really mean it. Much smaller, so if you’re after that, this is great. If you want something a bit bigger, go for the full size

Lovely little toy
Great product but it was smaller than expected because I hadn’t noticed it was pocket size. Still worked perfectly.
My wife bought two of these for our twin grandchildren – six years old – and they have proved to be a huge hit. We spent ages playing with them and they in turn quickly became far better at throwing and aiming because unlike a normal ball these tend to be a little easier to throw a reasonable distance thus encouraging the small people in your life.
They fly true and straight even in a fairly stiff breeze we found out, making them ideal for places like a beach.
Each has an inbuilt whistle that isn’t too loud but can be heard, adding to the interest.
The actual construction is excellent and as long as the are not abused or used by a dog then, they seem to stand up well to their intended use. The ‘ball’ bit is a soft but resilient foam that has enough mass to fly well but not so much as to cause problems if your child catches it in the face as my grandson did a couple of times. No black eyes to explain away to his mother thankfully.
I get that these look at bit modern and trendy compared to a ball, but honestly they are very traditional and seem to engage my young grandchildren far more than many other things. I guess the primeval need to be able to throw and catch is still buried in the human psyche to the extent that a simple thing is still hugely addictive.
If you have an older child or even an adult then honestly, these things can be chucked miles. My son who is 6’4″ and could throw a ball further than anyone I’ve ever met could make these practically disappear!
Overall, a cracking old fashioned type toy that really does work.

It’s soo tiny and fits in my handbag quite perfectly. First I wasn’t too sure if I should keep it, as I wanted the bigger version of it. But after playing with it a few times, it actually didn’t matter how big it was. It’s very compact and handy. Very good for travelling or just going to the park or beach. It fits perfectly into any bag!! Fun toy!

Small but mighty
Was a little apprehensive after reading other reviews on the size of the howler. Yes its small, Pocket sized. But its already provided hours of entertainment on recent camping and beach trips and has been great for my 7 year old to practice throwing and catching over longer distances.

Lightweight, easy to carry
Pocket sized fu
I’m very happy with this. It is pocket sized yet goes like a rocket. Ideal for me, awful at throwing yet good at catching. Even with my likp throws it goes surprisingly far. The whistle is quiet than the larger ones but still audible on a noisy beach. Even though the tail end looks flimsy it is aot more robust than it looks. My kids and I have great fun playing with this on the beach. Although I might have to get the bigger sized one still.
Quite small - pocket size
We brought one of these on amazon (not nerf) and it broke. So I purchased this one not seeing it was pocket size it is very small. Good for small hands but not a family game.

Great little ball to keep in beach/swimming bag
Great little ball I always keep in beach/swimming bag to chuck around with the kids on holidays etc & fortunate that our local gym has an outdoor heated pool so is used pretty much every week. Good fun but tiny
Much smaller than expected but our son is having fun with it!
We enjoy using this toy in our family for a bit of fun when we step outside into a safe green area. The howling isn’t much to get excited about but the toy itself is perfectly good, bounces really well when our toddler cannot catch it.
Toddler who is nearly 3 is a bit young to really enjoy it, but she still loves to throw things and this won’t break.

It’s much smaller then I expected, About the size of a tennis ball with a flight stuck on it. That being said it flies good and whistles however the size/weight of it limits the distance you can get. Perfect for my 3 & 5 year old, but too smaller for older kids.
