Endlich Bass für überall!
Lange habe ich nach diesem Gert gesucht. Es ist die perfekte Mglichkeit seinen Bass berall spielen zu knnen und einen amtlich Druck auf die Ohren zu machen.
Das Gert ist handlich und nicht viel grer als ein bliches Pedal. Betrieben mit einer 9V-Blockbattrie ist das Gert flexibel einsetzbar. Die Bedienung ist sehr intuitiv. Meistens nutze ich den Pocket Amp zum ben und speise ber eine 3,5mm Klinke mein Smartphone oder Laptop in das Gert ein. Die Lautstrke der Smartphones wird direkt am Smartphone geregelt. Die Lautstrke des Basses ber Drive und Master. Der 3-Band EQ spricht sehr gut an. Bei den Mitten kann man mehrere Frequenzen aussuchen. Die Mitten haue ich aber meistens so weit es geht raus.
Clean, OD und Fuzz sind die drei Modi, die man auswhlen kann. Zustzlich hat man die Wahl zwischen drei verschiedenen Amps (Flat, Modern, Vintage). OD und Fuzz sind eine nette Spielerei, die mir aber nicht wirklich zusagt. Bei den Amps ist die Auswahl sehr gut und passt soweit.
Dem Preamp kann man auch gut ins Pedalboard einbauen oder direkt als DI ins Mischpult jagen.
Negatives:
Eigentlich gibt es nichts…
Einige schreiben, dass der Preamp rauscht. Joah – in manchen Einstellungen stimmt das. Aber wenn man es mit den Hhen und Mitten nicht bertreibt, rauscht auch nichts. Gerade bei den Mitten sollte man einfach mal die verschiedenen Frequenzen durchprobieren. Manchmal liegt hier auch das Problem.
Effekte: Natrlich wre es schn, wenn man evtl. noch 2-3 Effekte eingebaut htte. Vieleicht einen Chrous oder Octaver. Hierfr htte man den Saturate-Regler nutzen knnen, der kaum was am Ton ndert. Aber das wei man ja vor dem Kauf. 🙂
Fazit:
Wer also fr die Reise oder fr die spten Abendstunden einen guten Kopfhrer-Amp sucht, ist hier bestens bedient.

I use mine 3 nights a week, 5 hours a night, and work crowds anywhere from 500-3500 depending on the night. 6 months in and it hasn’t let me down yet!

Ho preso questo preamp dopo avere provato quello della stessa marca per la chitarra.
In questo caso non sono stato soddisfatto della qualit dei suoni.
Il suono delle distorsioni non mi piaciuto affatto, inoltre ho avuto spesso la necessit di dover cambiare un parametro per bilanciare l’uso di un altro in quanto se no si creavano dei problemi di saturazione sgradevoli.
Sul suono pulito non sono riuscito a percepire cambiamenti nell’uso della manopola di saturazione (che pensavo fungesse un po da compressore del suono)
inoltre la funzione blend (che dovrebbe miscelare il suono di retto con quello elaborato) non mi piaciuta perch sbilanciata (uno si aspetterebbe che a met i sono sono al 50% ma non cos).
Insomma giocandoci un po’ forse si possono ottenere dei buoni suoni ma non adatto per cambi veloci….
Alla fine ho optato per uno zoom B1 forur che risulta essere decisamente pi versatile, completo e veloce nell’utilizzo con moltissime pi funzioni.

Ottimo comoromesso se si suona in luoghi che non possono ospitare amplificatori reali. Fa davvero molto bene il proprio lavoro. Non proprio plug and play, bisogna smanettare un po per trovare il sound di cui si necessita.

Ich schwanke je nach Gitarre zwischen den Einstellungen Vintage und Modern. Sehr wohlklingendes und variables Gert. Ich hatte einige ausprobiert- das hier kann auf jeden Fall mit den viel teureren Produkten, z.B. von Fishman oder Trace Elliot locker mithalten.
Endlich mal ein Kopfhörerverstärker, der nicht rauscht!
Ich habe den Pocketamp zum ben auf dem E-Bass mit Kopfhrern gekauft, hatte vorher einen AmpPlug von Vox, der nur noch gekrazt und gerauscht hat.
Dieser nun ist fr diesen Zweck hervorragend geeignet. Ausrechend Anschlsse und Regler, so dass man ihn sogar als kompakten Preamp benutzen kann. Im Modus Vintage lassen sich sogar leicht angezerrte Sounds einstellen und mit dem Saturate-Regler (einer leichten Compression) ist der Vintage-Rhrensound perfekt, ganz ohne echte Rhre und vor allem ohne Rauschen. Macht echt Spa das Teil!
This seems to be well made. I bought it to use to play along with cds and stuff without having to buy another small combo amp. I need the headphone jack and the aux in jack. The amp tones were pretty good and the headphone sound was good. However I really miss having a reverb option. My tube combo amp has reverb so I don't have a separate reverb effect pedal. I weighed my options and ended up returning it in favor of a Boss Gt1 effects processor which has a headphone jack and an aux in jack plus more than enough reverb and effects that I will ever need. If the Palmer had reverb it would be the perfect hi quality headphone practice device.

Palmer: ti avessi conosciuto prima!
Ci sono alcune categorie di pedali e accessori dove non credo ci sia bisogno di propriet esoteriche, questa una di quelle. Io ci volevo fare una cosa assurda (distorcere uno strumente solo virtualmente presente nella catena). Spero riesca nell’intento. E visto il costo, felice di aver conosciuto Palmer se me lo render possibile!
Fantastic practice tool
Probably one of the best guitar related purchases I’ve made in a long while.
I’ve used multi-effects units for over a decade but recently realised that I spend far more time tweaking patches trying to get ‘the right sound’ than I do actually playing the guitar.
Although there are a few knobs and switches, they’re simple and effective enough to let you dial in a reasonable sound in no time so you can get on with playing.
The tones are more than acceptable for practice and the aux in is invaluable for practice along side backing tracks.
I did see a review mention noise when using the pedal. I haven’t experienced this (running on battery power).
I do have one minor gripe which is the placement of the inputs and putputs – particularly the headphone output. It’s on the top of the unit which I find a bit odd. I much prefer the layout on bass variant of this which has the inputs and outputs all along with front or back of the unit.
A word of warning for headphone practice, however – when the pedal is bypassed, the volume jumps significantly. Watch your ears!

Tut genau das was ich erwartet habe, verschiedene Sounds in einem guten Klang, man muss nicht berall den Gitarrenverstrker mitschleppen, kannst du auch mal ber die Stereoanlage mit entsprechenden Adaptern spielen

Bought it to use as a bass amp with headphones to avoid disturbing the neighbors. If the green light is on, you’re on “wet off” and none of the EQ/effect/cab settings will apply.
I wish I’d read more carefully and noticed that no charger is provided. Overall decent.

No est nada mal para lo que es. Lo bueno es que puede funcionar con una pila de 9v y entra en la funda de la guitarra, con lo cual basta y sobra para estudiar cuando estas de viaje.
El sonido es limpio, me refiero a que no hay chicharras molestando.
Pre ampli
Sicuramente non ha un prezzo elevatissimo, ma mi aspettavo qualcosa in pi, per spiegarmi, su tutte le regolazioni, volume compreso, si sentono pochissimo le variazioni. Costruire costruito bene, sembra resistente, ma ripeto il suono non mi ha soddisfatto a pieno.

Eccezzionale! Lo uso a casa per esercitarmi sia in cuffia che nell’impianto PA casalingo, si in sala prova. Regge tranquillamente con batteria e altrinstrumenti. L’unica cosa che ci devi stare vicino per poter variare manualmente il tipo di suono che ti interessa, ma gemeralmente lo faccio solo a inizio brano…

Ich kann den Palmer nur empfehlen. Sehr flexibel einsetzbar. Sehr guter Sound und auch der beste Klang ber Kopfhrerausgang, den ich bisher hatte.
Also auch zum ben perfekt, da er auch einen Audio In-Eingang besitzt, ber den ich mein Smartphone oder MP3-Player anschlieen kann und darber auf Metronom oder Backgroundtracks zugreifen kann.
Producto muy interesante y con mltiples funcionalidades, capaz de dar buen sonido si se usa correctamente. En mi caso lo uso principalmente como amplificador de bolsillo para practicar en casa con auriculares. Normalmente lo uso en limpio ya que lo tengo al final de mi pedalera y por la entrada de lnea le meto ritmos con un pedal sdrum. Slo para este prposito ya me parece excelente pero tambin la he usado como DI box para una guitarra acstica con buenos resultados. Adems tiene otras funciones como la simulacin de amplis y se puede usar tambin para grabacin, como pedal de overdrive o distorsin e incluso para enviar guitarras al equipo de PA directamente aunque nunca lo he usado para esos propsitos.
Como comentario negativo decir que la unidad que me lleg haca un ruido como si llevara algo suelto dentro. La abr y encontr dos arandelas sueltas. A parte de eso la construccin es buena y el tacto de los potes tambin.
En general, me parece muy til para el uso que le doy y adems viene bien tenerlo a mano como soporte ya que te puede sacar de muchos apuros, por ejemplo si se falla un ampli o si quieres viajar ligero para pequeos bolos y no llevar recambio. El que pueda funcionar conectado a la corriente y con pila tambin es un plus. Lo volvera a comprar. No entiendo el comentario del cliente que dice que no sirve para nada, a mi me parece todo lo contrario.

Toller Klang auf Kopfhörer, super Optik und robus
Ich benutze diesen Amp mit einen Pioneer SE-M531Kopfhrer zum ben und ich bin begeistert! Der Sound macht echt schtig. Die Verarbeitung ist tadellos und die Optik ist genau mein Geschmack. Wenn Palmer jetzt noch eine Endstufe in dieser Bauform rausbringen wrde und eine Mglichkeit, diese Teile dann zu stapeln, wre ich berglcklich. Ich habe einige Vox ampPlug’s, weil ich diese Miniteile zum ben super finde, aber die Vox Teile knnen mit diesen Palmer nicht mithalten. Ich kann den Kauf 100% empfehlen.
I’ve been trying this out as a headphone amp for a couple of weeks and I have to say it’s really growing on me.
At first I was a bit confused by some of the options and controls but that’s to be expected really, it’s not like any other products I’ve tried before. I like it’s versatility and I can see this being a very useful tool in a lot of circumstances.
The range of tones is excellent from flat and neutral to warm and dry and much more, bright, clean, clear or as dark as you want with plenty of overdrive if that’s your thing.
The connectivity makes it very a versatile piece of kit so I’ve ordered a splitter patch cable to experiment with some effects.
My only gripe is the footswitch because it feels a bit cheap and lacks a shroud, it is also a little too close to some of the knobs.
I don’t see any reason not to give it 5 stars and recommend it highly !
Fits neatly on my PT mini, plays nicely with the house system in my church.
The aux and phones input makes this an awesome practice amp too! Literally take it anywhere!
I like the built fuzz and od settings, however they aren’t easily switched during a performance (if you use it as a preamp). So I use my mxr instead.
This little puppy has AMAZING tonal range, and the “cab” selector switch only increases it. I prefer the “vintage” setting myself.
All in all a great combo to keep on your board, or in your gig bag!
Every guitar player should have this. Headphones, 1/8″ input is perfect for silent practice to tracks. The balanced out is stellar and sounds great through a PA. Very impressed.

Er funktioniert sowohl bei Akkustik (Piezo Tonabnehmer) als auch E-Gitarren.
Rauschen ist nicht hrbar, sowohl bei Batteriebetrieb als auch mit Netzteil,
aber nur mit guten Netzteilen! Der Sound ist klar und deutlich.
Habe mir den MK2 als Kopfhrerverstrker fr zuhause gekauft. War mit allem, was ich sonst im Musikgeschft ausprobiert habe, nicht zufrieden (Yamaha & Vox Mini-Verstrker mit Simulation). Diese kleine Box hat mich jedoch absolut berzeugt. Spiele sonst Rhrenverstrker, was aber in einer Mietwohnung nicht gut funktioniert. Vor dem Pedal habe ich einen Tubefactor von H&K und ein Reverb-Pedal hngen. Da kein Einschleif-Weg fr Effekte vorhanden ist, ist das nicht optimal aber es funktioniert und der Sound ist schn dynamisch. Spiele nur die Vintage-Amp-Simulation, die anderen Sounds sind mir zu bizzelig oder glatt (was sie auch sein sollen). Der Crunch hat mich wirklich berrascht, da er sehr dynamisch auf den Anschlag reagiert und eine gute Verzerrung fr eine Simulation liefert. Der Mic-Schalter hat einen sehr starken Einfluss auf den Ton, was mir wirklich gut gefllt, da man so den Sound weiter abstimmen kann. Verarbeitung ist super.
Einziges Manko: Wenn man das Gert vom Strom trennt und wieder anschaltet, befindet es sich im Bypass, welcher dann ber Kopfhrer bei mir unfassbar laut ist. Da sollte man auf sein Gehr und seine Kopfhrer aufpassen.
El pedal funciona muy bie
Buen pedal de ecualizacin que utilizo con mi Martin D-28. Necesitars comprar un adaptador a corriente pues la pila se gasta enseguida. Mi adaptador cost unos 20 en una tienda de instrumentos musicales.Puede ser uno standard pero revisa bien que tenga las catactersticas tcnicas necesararias para el pedal. Una de las cualidades adems es que puedes poner unos cascos y escuchar la guitarra, ideal para ensayos en casa etc…
Recus ce matin. Merci Amazon. Palmer est une Ste qui existe depuis un bon moment. Tout comme ce pramplificateur MK II. Alors pour s’amuser il y a de quoi faire avec beaucoup de possibilits de sons. Autant en son clean que crunch ou sature. Vous voulez vous rapprocher du son ACDC aucun probleme. De Metallica? Idem et j’en passe. Depuis 48 ans que je joue de la guitare c’est sans doute une des meilleure pedale de pramplificateur que je connaisse. Alors foncez.

Ob als bungs-, recording- und liveamp, oder nur als Backup zum eigentlichen amp

nach dem Pedalboard in die PA -Anlage rein ,einfach genial .
Etwas den Ton angepasst funzt das Ding enorm .
Spiele sonst ber HIWATT DR 100 mit micro Abnahme .
Es sind natrlich klanglich Abstriche zu machen doch das Publikum bekommt das im groen und ganzen nicht wirklich mit .
Die Einstellungen sind auch recht ntzlich .

Buen sonido, amplias funciones y robusto
Despus de varios meses de uso , me sigue pareciendo un producto til, con buen sonido y de construccin robusta. Lo uso para tocar en casa con los cascos , porque mi amplificador de vlvulas no tiene salida de cascos.
Utilizo la entrada auxiliar para meter bases desde youtube o desde mi telfono mvil y poder practicar tocando encima de las bases

En mi caso a sido para poder monitorizarme en casa por cascos y no molestar, aunque se puede utilizar para directo, mandando seal directa a mesa y ahorrndote llevar un muerto de ampli (para el que no ande muy bien de la espalda, es interesante).
Tengo muy buen equipo de amplificacin, pero para tocar en el sof, por la noche, o sentado en la cama, en el balcon, etc, y no molestar, es un lujo. Si les conectas unos auriculares un poco decentes, de los que todos utilizamos para oir msica con nuestros mviles por la calle, ni te enteras, te piensas que esta sonando por fuera. Se puede alimentar con pila de 9v o por red.
Suena redondo. Me parece muy buena compra. Lo recomiendo sin dudarlo

Hola, el pedal es muy practico, se puede usar con auriculares donde escuchas con nitidez como suena el instrumento, puedes conseguir con l multitud de sonidos adems incluye una entrada aux donde puede puedes conectar el pc, movil etc y practicar tocado encima de canciones, ejercicios, progresiones etc… lo uso con frecuencia para no molestar a mi vecinos y estoy muy contento con el producto en general.
Contras: Usando una fuente de alimentacin parace que hace menos ruidos que con la pila aunque funciona de igual forma. Saludos
Definitely a “problem solver.” Allows you to use your pedals in a headphone type situation. Multiple inputs add flexibility. Useful for “humane” guitaring while others are around!
So far I like this little box a lot. I bought mainly for headphone practice but plan on using it for some recording as well. I had to return the first unit I got due to a wonky bass knob. Palmer responded to my query very promptly and then Amazon made the exchange a breeze, so just a minor inconvenience and hopefully not indicative of spotty quality control. The second “issue” I had was with the auto power on when a plug is inserted into the input jack. I bought some GLS Audio straight and right angle plugs to make some cables with – the straight plugs would not activate the auto power on of the unit while the right angle ones would. By eye the straight plugs looked slightly shorter than the right angle ones and had the tip was more blunt. I blamed the plug and let Palmer know and they agreed with me but just be advised that the auto power on feature of the input jack on the pocket amp is somewhat sensitive to plug length and it might not work correctly with some cable connectors.
Easy to use and it has the headphone jack. You are never gonna be able to emulate exactly a guitar amp but this units gets the job done ver very well using it as a DI for church.
Nice little gizmo that works pretty damn good. It’s more better! Bought rechargeable 9 volt batteries and the power supply.
it’s a pricey bit of hardware but I quite like it. you get the following things all in this box
1. pocket amp that can run off 9V battery of 9V AC adapter (negative center iirc)
2. analog tweed, recto, and marshall sims with some mic placement bits and stuff, treble bass volume and gain knobs.
3. effectively a DI pedal since there’s XLR out and bypass foot trigger
personally i think the amp sims are pretty good, doesn’t sound nearly as digital as some of my modeling stuff, but i feel like the recto could be heavier or stronger, for lack of a better word. But for the price, they’re pretty good.
The box feels pretty good to hold, not cheap. IMO the pocket amp mk2 is excellent if you’re looking for a decent pocket amp, could use a DI pedal, or need some versatility in your pedal board.
Based on what i read online, some ppl use it for backup at gigs, but i’m just a bedroom John Petrucci wannabe, so I have little to say about that.

Bestellt und super schnell angekommen. Ich war sehr berrrascht von dem wirklich guten, echten Klang. Klingt hnlich wie mein Fender Deluxe Reverb Custom 68, den ich regelmig im -raum spiele. Meine Bodentreter-Armada funktioniert wunderprchtig damit. Gemeint ist der Cleankanal. Und der Brit-Channel ist ebenso ein Highlight. Der US-Channel (ala Mesa) ist fr mich nichts, aber ich stehe auch nicht auf die echten Mesa’s. Kaum zu glauben, aber Spielfreude pur. Ich benutzte das Teil jeden Abend. Das hat es noch bei keinem Modeller gegeben. Meine beiden Modelling-Teile schalte ich derzeit gar nicht mehr ein. Und ….. wrggg ….., die haben ein Vielfaches von dem Palmer Pocket Amp gekostet.
I had some Tech 21 Character Series pedals, but I prefer this because it has the DI out, aux in, and headphone out. I think the sound is comparable to the Sans Amp but the extra features make it much for flexible.
