Superb Bread Make
The Panasonic SD-R2530 is a superb machine that makes bread making easy, fun, and delicious. The provided instruction manual has a variety of different recipes to use. Every loaf we have baked has come out easily and deliciously. No need to buy bread at the store anymore. Excellent and easy to use.
Reliably good bread
After a couple of years struggling with the bricks from another brand of breadmaker, I have gone back to Panasonic and am so glad I did. The bread always turns out as expected, and the paddle hasn’t stuck once!

Perfect loaves every time!
What a brilliant machine! I’m so glad I chose this machine, it’s so easy to use. Just measure out the ingredients, add them to the bread pan, set the programme and you have wonderful fresh bread. I tend to make mine in the evening and set the timer so the bread is ready to get out of the machine in the morning. It also has a dough programme so the machine does all the kneading and rising then you take out the dough and shape it how you want (cottage loaf, rolls, etc) leave it to rise again and then bake in the oven. There is a wide variety of recipes to choose from in the instruction book so you could spend a very long time experimenting with those and there are plenty of books to find extra inspiration. I haven’t tried any of the cake or jam recipes yet but I might get round to them eventually!
Browns loaf on top
When I was buying this, I deliberately searched for a bread machine without a viewing window or a nut dispenser. My previous machine had these features but never really browned the bread on top, so the results were always a bit unsatisfactory. This Panasonic machine however dispenses with these unnecessary gimmicks in favour of a solid top that does not let out all the heat. Therefore, the bread is evenly browned all over, like it would be in a normal oven.
Love it!
Just love having fresh bread. Tried making my own without a bread maker and was never very successful. So far with this bread maker success every time. Overall very easy to use. Timer means can have fresh bread for when you get up. One thing I would say is that you have to take out the bread as soon as timer beeps. I’ve left it a few minutes but timer keeps going off until programme stopped or machine is unplugged. A little annoying but not enough for me to be dissatisfied.

Wow a retail price of 179.00 for a bread maker – you could buy 179 loafs of bread for that price, was a little bit confused on the retail price comparing to other bread makers ! !
I have never owed a bread maker before so can’t really compare it to any thing which is a little bit annoying as I’m not sure the retail price is actually a good price or not?
I tend not to eat to much bread due to IBS but having children in the house who likes eating beans on toast, I thought this would come in handy.
The first issue I had was trying to find somewhere for it to live as it’s quite big and heavy- to be fair it’s not going to get used a lot and can see it being put at the back of the cupboard and forgotten about.
There are many programmes that can be used (to many in my mind), has a delayed cook which is pretty good for hot bread for breakfast if you wanted to cook over night, the machine is very quiet while in use, easy to clean and I must admit makes the house smell lovely when you are cooking fresh bread.
I found that the bread came out really easy from the tin but you need to following cooking instructions and make sure you have all the ingredients in.
I think I would just prefer to pop to the local bakery and pick up a loaf as this will save time, mess and money.

Only had it a few days and we’re still experimenting with it but we have made several loaves with different ingredients and we are very pleased with it. We are certainly glad we bought it.

The only negative so far ( and it’s incidental) is that it was delivered without a box so you could see what it was and it was a surprise Xmas present! Fortunately, my partner wasn’t here when it was delivered.
Perfect breadmake
When my breadmaker broke during lockdown I stuggled to get a replacement. This breadmaker was a good price and bakes the bread to perfection. Operates far better than my previos breadmakers and they were good brands. Easy to use and clear instructions.

Why no customisatio
Works fine and makes bread but why isn’t there an option to modify the programs.
If you want to add a few minutes or subtract a few or make your own program then why not? It takes 45 mins to make dough or 2 hours to make white dough? And 4 hours to cook it?
Well. It doesn’t take that long. I want to meddle with it.

Excellent Machine
Truthfully – I have had a Panasonic bread maker before and found it extremely good, but eventually after many many many good years parted with it. Then I went back to baking my own bread for about 12 years which I do very well with all my loaves. But the time again arrived when I wanted to return to the good old bread maker and new that Panasonic was once again up in the top machine category. So decided on this machine, after about four weeks I can say that this is a truly very good machine and consistently turns out a lovely loaf of bread with very little effort on my part. My son who has been a top chef in his time and didn’t experience my first bread maker, has been very impressed indeed. Ok, the news is all good and I would most certainly be buying this machine again. I do however, have one grumble and others have mentioned this as well, the LCD screen which does work perfectly can be, in certain lights, hard to see. For instance my machine is in our utility room in a corner and is shielded from natural light, so I literally a keep a torch handy for those few seconds while I press the buttons – would I change this machine because of it, ABSOLUTELY NOT! Enjoy it, it’s amazing. This is a totally independent review HONESTLY!

Makes excellent bread
I bought this to replace my 10 yr old Panasonic bread maker which had started to produce inferior loaves. The new version of my old model was rather expensive so I went for this one. My old one had a yeast dispenser, but this one hasn’t. You put the dried yeast in the pan.before adding any other ingredients, keeping the granules away from the kneading blade. It was a bit awkward trying to spread them evenly so with the second loaf I made, I put a fine layer of the flour in first and sprinkled the granules evenly before adding the rest of the flour and the other ingredients. No difference in the quality of the finished loaf, it was just as good as the first one. I have not tried any of the other breads, cakes or dough yet, but I have no doubt they will all turn out fine. I have to say I bought mine at John Lewis for a massive 50 pounds cheaper, at 129. They also give 2 years guarantee as standard instead of one. No extra charge.

Makes hassle free great tasting bread
I previously had a cheaper Morphy Richards bread maker and it did okay, but tended to rip a big hole in the bottom of the loaf as the paddle was angled as the non-stick coating deteriorated quickly without easy spares.
Not an issue with this one. I wasn’t really expecting a massive differences, but the Panasonic does a much better job of raising, providing lighter fluffier bread – I was particular impressed by the taste of the loaf from Marriages Organic Country Fayre Strong Malted Brown Bread Flour.
The bread comes out easily of the tin and although there is still a gap in the bottom of the loaf from the paddle, because it’s straight, it doesn’t tear through so the issue is very much diminished. It mixes well, lots of different programmes, delayed cook, very quiet compared to my old machine – do make sure to follow the recipes at first and experiment with changing them up once you’ve got the hang of things.
Overall, 5 stars from me.

This is my third Panasonic bread maker. It doesn’t fit on my larder shelf well now the design has changed. It’s very awkward to read all the different programs this way round. It makes bread as well as my old ones but none of my favourite recipes are in the new instruction book making it difficult to find the right program for my choice of mixes. I have to alternate between the old book and new. There are so many sourdough recipes which may please some people but not me.
I find this instructions booklet very confusing and difficult to follow. Why change things when they worked so well before?

We was looking at alot of breadmakers and while this was a little bit more than the others it is worth it, put in ingredients and forget about it, 2hrs later you got a loaf of bread, the only thing that we did not like much was the manual and the recipes not very clear on the the little icons that mean something apart from that total worth it, already made about 15 loaves of bread.
Well, where do I start…. I’ll keep it short. If you’re considering buying a bread maker, just do it. Absolute game changer. I’m addicted and am making more bread than I can eat because I’m so excited. Even just a plain white rapid loaf is divine. Don’t listen to anyone marking this product down, they must be intellectually challenged. Just follow the simple instructions, in the order stated, and you’ll be making the best bread you’ve ever tasted, for about 20p a loaf.

Nowhere do you see that the raisin and nut dispenser isn’t supported, until you get it, open everything up and get ready to make a loaf. I’m in Ireland and returning things is not really easy, so I’ll keep it because I need a bread maker. Even after reading all about the machine on Panasonic’s site there was nothing about this. I spent an extra 50 quid on a feature that I’ll never be able to use. Misleading advertising.
Best bread makers
I’ve used Panasonic bread makers for the last 15 years and found them to be easy to use, robust and reliable. We live over 13 miles from the nearest shop, so the bread maker is used very regularly, even though the kids are now grown and moved away. I’m on my second Panasonic bread maker and bought this one for my younger son, as a house warming present for him and his partner. He’s grown up on bred maker bread and it’s ruined most shop bought bread for him. It’s working very well, spitting out perfect loaves and he’s very happy with it. The tradition continues.
It was high time to upgrade and I'm not disappointed
My previous Panasonic had served us faithfully for well over 10 years. This new one is slightly larger, has more program options (which takes getting used to) and still turns out a very good loaf. The baking cycles seem to have been refined, for instance the dough cycle has now a rest period which makes a noticeable difference. While this model doesn’t have a raisin dispenser it beeps when it’s time to add them, which is useful. The only disappointment is with the quality of printed instructions plus recipes which is slimmed down and very flimsy. Fortunately, there are some excellent recipe books dedicated to bread making machines. Overall, we are very pleased with our new Panasonic

I bought this to replace the same model that have used three times a week for fifteen years. The gears were starting to get a bit noisy so i decided to put it out of it’s misery and get a new one. Very pleased with it ,has the added bonus that the spare paddle i had for the old one fits this one…

I first bought a Panasonic bread maker over 20 years ago, and after being used regularly for that time it was getting tired and it was time for an upgrade. This model is an evolution of my previous one and is much more efficient, easier to use and very quiet in operation. I first bought a bread maker after reading the list of ingredients on a supermarket wrapped loaf, I was horrified, there were 32 ingredients, many with E numbers and unpronounceable names. I make bread with 6 ingredients and it only takes two minutes to load the ingredients, press the button and the machine does the rest. Nothing quite like the smell of fresh bread. There is also a delay timer that you can set to work overnight that means you can wake in the morning to that delicious aroma.
