Expensive but good quality product. I bought this to encourage my recently diagnosed chronic kidney disease cat to drink more water. Took her a while to get used to it but got there in the end. I think it was worth spending the extra money for a good quality product over some of the cheaper water fountains on the market. Relatively easy to clean and not too noisy.
So this isn’t the cheapest option on the market, but I’m glad it’s the one I went for because I was going to be looking at it all day working from home. It looks smart and neutral, and my cats use it all the time. We’re all happy with it.
my dog and cats love this as the cats dont like standing water. one of my cats had a urinary tract issue as he wasnt drinking enough. He loves this!
I have to say my initial thoughts are it’s very good, and should be very easy to keep clean as all my other ones where plastic and had a limited shelf life, hopefully this 1 will last a very long time.
I would give it 10 stars if I could! My cats absolutely love it, they have been drinking way more. Very easy to clean thoroughly and it’s virtually silent. The only problem is, as you can see in the video, I might need to get a second one because my cats don’t like sharing!! Would definitely recommend.

I am so pleased with this fountain and so are my fur children even though it took them a few hours to take to it.
A far more superior model compared to their plastic one which was quite noisy whereas this one is virtually silent.
It arrived within 24 hours and quite straightforward to set up.
I’m giving 5 stars because it’s faultless and my cats love it!!!
Main advantage to plastic pet drink foutain is that ceramic does not get easyly colonised by bugs making safer to drink. I really never had any issues with previous plastic fountain but I could see some changing colours difficult or impossible to clean afte 2 years of use.

It looks good and has held up unlike some other fountains. Cats do prefer to drink out of the ceramic fountain than plastic ones. It is heavy though and you have to be careful when cleaning it!
The fountain itself seems simple to assemble and a good quality. However, perhaps not a great shape in hindsight for cats that prefer having a flat surface to drink from as the bowl is deep so wet whiskers for cats (which my one hates) so the only option is to drink from the running water. Would be good for cats who like drinking from taps.
The main complaint is I don’t know why Amazon would create a fountain and replacement filters bundle option (which I naively bought) when the filters in the bundle are incompatible with the fountain.
My cat took to this product Stright away. I think the product is a bit pricey but essential for when you have a cat and making sure it has access to fresh running water.
Well designed, sturdy product, but sadly our cat refused to go anywhere near it. This is a cat who is instantly suspicious of anything new but after a week gives into curiosity. Persisted for about 6 weeks, but eventually gave in and resorted back to a bowl of water (which is better than the neighbours pond!) The assembly instructions were a little confusing in places, hence 4 stars
My cats and dogs love this water fountain. Filters are great and quite shocking what they capture. Loose hair etc. Better the filter than my pets stomachs.
The best fountain I ever had! The sound relaxing me a lot and help me to sleep and my cats to drink.
The water is more clean and fresh compared to other fountains.
Looks nice. I think its expensive for what it is though. Its not too hard to clean but a bit fiddly to assemble. Ive not seen my cats use it yet but at least it looks nicer than the cheap looking plastic one i had before.
You do need to buy filters for it so can work out expensive if cats arnt gonna use it.
Had this fountain for nearly 2 months now and our 2 cats love it. We love it, the pump is lasting longer as no fur is getting into it due to the filter wrapped around it. The fountain is low maintenance in terms of changing water and filters. Our cats are using it more as we are having to top it up. Just the cleaning does take a little longer then the previous fountain as a few more parts to it. 100% recommend this bad boy for any fur babies
My 2 Bengal cats absolutely love this drinking fountain. Would highly recommend to any pet owners.
I have to be honest, the white noise of the fountain has taken some time to get used to. I live in a relatively small apartment and I can hear the fountain everywhere in my apartment. Kind of like a tap constantly running. I’ve had to turn it off at night sometimes, when the babbling brook sound effects make it hard to fall asleep.
Other than the white noise, 10/10 recommend to any fussy cat parents!
Oh, if you’ve got hardish water, you can expect the smooth enamel to become “scratched” at the water line relatively quickly. I think I noticed the slight wearing away of the smooth enamel after about two weeks. But it’s not visible and I only notice it when I run my fingers over the area when I wash the bowl. But hard water damages enamel. That’s a fact and I was anticipating it would happen.
This fountain is sturdy, quiet, looks really nice – I have no complaints when it comes to the design. You can see it’s a quality product in comparison to cheaper plastic fountains.
Unfortunately, cats are picky creatures and mine decided to ignore the fountain completely. They approach it sometimes, put a paw in the water and run away in disgust but they never drink from it, which is strange as they usually love running water.
It’s probably going to end up donated to a cat rescue group for one of their foster homes and hopefully, some kitty out there is going to enjoy drinking from it.
Aside from the obvious, to use it as a drinking fountain for pets, it’s also very soothing to listen to amongst your plants or anywhere in the house really. Like the smallest of brooks babbling away in the background!
Looks good, the cats love it and they share things now whereas they were always fighting for water out the tap before.
My cats love this, it has lasted well – better than some of the plastic alternatives. As long as you clean and change the filter as recommended will keep going for ages. A++
Toller Trinkbrunnen. Wurde von meinen sofort angenommen. Sicher verpackt und einfach zu bedienen. Reinigung ist sich sehr einfach. Allerdings setzt sich trotzdem sehr schnell Kalk an.
This has been well worth the money. My cat was unwell because he wasn’t drinking enough. The vet recommended one so we bought the ceramic one as he doesn’t like plastic. He absolutely loves it and I see him drinking from it regularly. We wash it weekly in the dishwasher. He likes filtered water we discovered which helps with limescale. Some people in reviews said it is noisy but I have found it depends how much water there is and it can be almost silent.
I’ve read quite a few of these reviews, and know where some of you are coming from; however, if you clean the pump on a regular basis (take it apart as per instructions) the water will flow easily, I’m onto my 2nd one and and need another soon but I have been buying these for over 10 years! I’ve had occasions where after cleaning the water takes ages to start flowing..but it usually starts working again. My cats love it so I’m happy.
una svolta per i gatti. bevono pi volentieri, cosi sono pi idratati e sani. facile da montare, bella da vedere, in ceramica bianca. semplice anche da pulire. il filtro interno in carboni attivi va cambiato dopo qualche mese. l’acqua scendendo produce un rumore che a qualcuno potrebbe dare fastidio, ma a me piace, rilassante. consiglio !
Bought this as I was a bit sick of the plastic one I had before not looking very nice, and was a little easy to move (my large cats often came close to tipping it over).
After a couple of hours of trepidation, my two maine coons took to it and haven’t looked back!! Very easy to set up, clean and replenish the water. It is heavy enough that so far my fat oafs of cats haven’t knocked it over yet and the ceramic looks pretty nice.
A minor drawback is that with it being ceramic, any rubbish / fur is immediately obvious, but this only makes it easier to clean so isn’t really a problem.
Looking nice in the house, I like the sound of the water. My cats use it.

Ich bin mit dem Brunnen sehr zufrieden. Unsere 3 Katzen und unser Hund haben ihn alle gut angenommen. Er ist leicht zu reinigen. Geruschmig geht es, wenn er einen etwas niedrigen Wasserstand hat pltschert er schon etwas lauter. Bei uns steht er im Wohnzimmer, da nervt das gepltscher etwas zb. beim Fernsehen. Aber Hauptsache den Kindern gefllts
I love this fountain. We have had all kinds and this is fantastic. Looks great and works so much better and better for the cats as ceramic as opposed to plastic. Can’t hear the motor at all just lovely trickling sound of water! Cats absolutely love it.

The cats love this! Was a bit worried I’d have more water on the floor as two of my five cats love running water. One decided to wash his head in the fountain but that was it. Great because there are two water levels to drink from and the different critters prefer different heights and the two who love running water are well and truly in heaven! The filters work perfectly to clear fur and filth. Happy cats. And happy me.
Con poca manutenzione e cambio dei filtri regolare (ma con tempi allungati rispetto a quanto consigliato) la fontanella funziona perfettamente.

La ceramica consente un facile lavaggio anche in lavastoviglie.
Per chi si lamenta o ha avuto problemi con il motorino od altro su altre fontanelle, la consiglio sicuramente.
P.s. il filtro in spugna basta lavarlo bene con acqua e sapone e dura almeno 5 volte quanto consigliato!
Il filtro a carboni attivi dura oltre il doppio di quanto consigliato, basta ogni tanto toglierlo e farlo asciugare per un giorno
Had a plastic version of the Petsafe and it was all nooks and crannies and hard to clean. it also needed cleaning every couple of days and was difficult to dismantle, this is so different!. Comes apart in a flash, easy to clean, no awkward bits and my bengal cat drinks both from the top and from the side flows and has stopped waking me up at 3am so as to drink from the bathroom tap!
very easy to clean, the pump motor is silent, all you can hear is the water . my cat loves it.
Very good looking and zen like with a nice watery sound. Hopefully the motor works better on this model than on the other one that I had to throw out.

I questioned my sanity spending so much on a glorified cat bowl, even in the flash sale, but it’s now three months later and this has proved to be worth the cash. My two cats love this; it’s too heavy for them to knock over or drag across the kitchen, unlike the plastic fountain I had before. (My cats are weird and like to play with their water and I’d constantly find our previous fountain in the middle of the kitchen with water everywhere.) This also cleans up nicely, unlike the plastic one.

This is the 3rd one I have and I allways buy your brand because I know I AM buying a good product. I had to buy a ceramic one because of health Issues, cats should ONLY have ceramic Or stainless steel, food and water bowls.

bought to replace an old fountain. This is a good looking fountain and more to the point my 4 cats love it.
Really like this fountain both my cats have used it right from the first day so much better than the other one with a plastic container that went green and could not be cleaned very happy with my purchase.
Then I balanced some teaspoons across the top of the tower so the water falls on to the side of the tower rather into the bowl (see photo).
Perfect – almost silent AND my cat happily uses it!
If you are committed to cleaning it weekly and buying / changing the filters, this is a wonderful product.
Bets fountain I could get for my cat.. she absolutely loves drinking water from it, it’s haealthy, eco, and looks good! Not obsolete..but quite elegant..
The fountain is really good, I have used it for a couple of months now and my cats drink more now than they did before. I bought the bundle and am very disappointed that the filters aren’t actually compatible with this fountain though.
Sound from it is almost zero if filled up to right level. and not enough to disturb most people.
As with all such fountains… will need regular cleaning at least fortnightly.
pets took a couple of days to figure it out but has solved the soggy beard problem we had!
My cats love it. Easy to clean and put back together. The fountain is sturdy, good quality and keeps the water cool. Best pet fountain I’ve owned. (The water running is like when a taps on, so you get some free spa noises with it)
Had the old petsafe plastic water fountain and seemed to get quite slimey and discoloured. Im glad to say this one is a lot better. Very heavy and a doddle to clean. A tad noisy but cats dont mind it. Worth the money. (Make sure you wash out the charcoal filters prior to use)
This is a great product! My cats absolutely love it! It keeps the water fresh (but replace once a week, and make sure there’s always enough water in it), it’s easy and practical! Happy cats = happy home

Bought this for our Jack Russell for Christmas, one of the reasons being we were worried he wasn’t drinking enough….. resounding success he drinks twice as much now and everyone comments on it. Looks great, encourages good hydration and easy to clean.

Excellent pet fountain. Pump is quiet, the only sound is the tinkling of water. Cat took to it straightaway. I bought two plastic fountains previous to this one as they were cheaper, but they didn’t last long, so in retrospect it would have been better to have purchased this one first!
I have a cat who will only drink from a tap – he has a broken leg at the moment and so cant jump so this is ideal – thank you
A water filter for your pet. Can be costly to replace the parts over time. Now I just use it as a bowl by removing the top and inner parts. It is less time consuming to remove everything to clean each day.

Hab die Bewertung von 1 Stern auf 5 hochgesetzt. Hab mir heute vor Ort einen Adapter besorgt und bin nun echt Happy. Der Brunnen luft sehr ruhig; pltschert angenehm ruhig vor sich hin und das wichtigste meine 3 Katzen haben ihn sofort angenommen.
Ein dickes Lob gilt vorm allem auch der Beratung und Betreuung von Amazon. Hab gestern noch mit einer sehr netten Kundenbetreuerin gesprochen und hab ihr meinem Frust geschildert. Danke fr euren absolut top Kundenservice!
Dog and cats love it. Only wished it was a little larger.
But guess what? The motor is exactly the same! So far so good as its not failed yet but I’m guessing it may go the same route at some point!
But on the positive side, this is nicer to look at, much easier to keep clean and holds more water.
It is a little noiser than the plastic ones as other reviewers have mentioned.. A running water sound.. But it is in my kitchen and doesn’t really bother me.

I like this pet fountain and it is easy to clean, but, it is noisy as other reviewers have said, and depending on our moods it can be very irritating to hear!
The delivery was late, but the fountain is very nice! It is easy to assemble and the sound of falling water is very nice! No spills, looks beautiful.
Beautiful and weighty item, looks great anywhere in the house. At 2 litres capacity, it is not oversized like other fountains and doesn’t look like a urinal, which is a problem with a lot of the cheaper fountains. Ceramic material is practical for cleaning and for cats who have allergies to plastic. Easy to Assemble.
PROS:
We have two cats, each weighing in around 3.5 – 4.5 kilos so not massive kitties. They usually drink from either a stainless steel or ceramic bowl but we are really bad with changing the water regularly and the cat hair would accumulate in the bowl rapidly – not nice or fresh to drink from. We’ve had this for five weeks now and we’re much better at topping up the water and the water is filtered and fresher (aerated) too. No more cat hair in the H2O!
CONS and TIPS for Using:
They prefer drinking from the lower bowl but have difficulty getting to the water due to the narrow channel especially when the water level gets low. I have taken off one star for this. Topping up the bowl solves the problem so it is easier for them to drink. We do this every four days. When the water level gets low (3-4cm from the top) our cats start drinking from the top bowl, which is just about manageable at our cats’ height – they haven’t figured out how to drink directly from the flow of the fountain yet. If you refill the bowl with filtered water (note not mineral water) then the charcoal filter will last a lot longer as well. A silent pump but not so silent fountain. At first I kept thinking there was a faucet left running water in the house. It takes getting used to.
Bottom line? For 50, it is on the pricey side but entirely worth it.
A good quality product, i much prefer the ceramic over the plastic fountains. It is heavy so can’t be knocked over and the cable can de disconnected midway so you can move it without having to drag the plug with you and into the sink. The water stays clean and cool so perfect for when away on holiday. Our cat started drinking from it after only a day. The sound of the water isn’t particularly loud but can be heard, i think it is down to personal preference as to whether it annoys you or not.

Our two kittens use this constantly, its the only water source they have and need. They tend to prefer drinking our of the bowl just now, they are only 4 months old and still quite small. Takes up less space than two water bowls, and it filters the water too.
Great product. Keeps water fresh and clear, which is good with this awful Yorkshire water.
Absolutely amazing product. Finally stopped my cat knocked over his water mug (yes… he doesn’t drink water from bowl) and flooded the flat.
He shows highly interest drinking water from the fountain. Also, with the ceramic material, it is much easier to maintain and clean.
Lovely fountain for my cats – they love it – be aware of the tinkling of water so don’t have too near your bedroom when you sleep – you will be up and down to loo all night. Ceramic worth the extra money compared to the plastic one we had before.
Fountain is amazing, very quiet, all you can hear is the water quietly trickeling. both my cats love it to bits, and enjoy drinking from the fountain. It keeps the water quite cool too, so I don’t need to elbow cats out the sink in a fight for the tap. The only downside is that the little cat bashed into it when having one of her mental half hours, and snapped the ceramic neck off the runs up the inside causing water to go EVERYWHERE! I have bought another, because without a doubt, this is one of the best i have had.
They have been used to plastic ones before, but they drink much more from this ceramic one, maybe its because this ones flow is more like a running tap.
The pump has no noise at all, and the water flow sounds so relaxing a bit like a fish tank not too loud.
Its not too big only 11 inches in width.
I love that its ceramic, very strong,so simple to clean, and very trendy like a Belfast sink.

Just received this drinking fountain which I ordered yesterday (how’s that for service) like it that much that I’ve ordered another one today
One of the best drinking fountains I have seen. My Bengals are elderly now, but I suspect if younger they would have removed the top then removed the insides (they did this with other fountains in their youth). They have almost removed the top just by playing in the water. So Bengal owners beware as the top is not very secure. The big advantage of this fountain is being ceramic as it is very easy to clean, particularly in a hard water area. It is also big enough for cats to have a good swish at the water and out of all the fountains the market, it best resembles a running tap.

Having had all previous Drinkwell models but always worried about the plastic harbouring bacteria, I am so pleased with this new ceramic version. Very easy and quick to clean! Would recommend without hesitation.

I’m no stranger to water fountains, I bought other styles for my cats, they seem to like this one the most, I have a feeling they hated that plastic taste which the previous ones were made of, I like the size too, very easy to clean, hands down the best so far.
I loved mine so much that I decided to buy one for my Dad for his two cats too. He also loves it. Easy to clean, sounds nice, looks nice and keeps the cat out of the kitchen sink (on the whole anyway!). Hard to get hold of filters, but you can if you order from drinkwell directly.
It has a gentle flow with nice sound of running water which we find quite relaxing. Takes a few days to register you haven’t left a tap running! One niggle…the filters are quite pricey and not that easy to source. Just hoping they become more readily available at a better price.
This is easy to set up with clear photographic instructions for assembly, cleaning and reassembling.
This really is such a lovely design that does not look out of place in our dining room.
