Cat security and look-ou
Bought this to replace a broken cat flap that was allowing neighbourhood moggies to come into my house terrorise my cat and eat its food.
As a replacement it was simply a matter of removing the old one and putting in the new one. Two screws and it was done.
The locking device is a little stiff but I just set it once and left it. The cat is able to look out into the garden before she goes out so she can be assured that no local gangsters are out there.
Most importantly the cat food bill has reduced as none of the locals have magnets to allow access.
This brings me to the only problem with cat flaps of this type. If another cat has a magnet on its collar (or carries one around with it) then they can gain access but if this is a problem then you have to upgrade to a more expensive model.
Otherwise, it works well, easy to install and is easy to use (so the cat tells me).

The cat got used to it within a few days and uses it with no issues. This is her first experience with a cat door and we had no issues. Great product.
Can take a while
This is great but can take a while for your cat to get used to it as they have to go in head first – perhaps it’s just my cat who is not very bright. It did require some coaxing with Dreamies – or maybe that was a ruse and he is not as dense as we thought!

Good solution for cat visitors
Replaced a basic Staywell model because other cats were eating my cat’s food and making him nervous. Hole was already cut in door so very easy to fit.
He was hesitant about waiting for the lock to click the first couple of times but soon got used to it. Biggest problem was getting a collar with no metal parts – recommend the official Staywell one.
Easy fi
Same model as last and, as others have commented, even the drill holes align despite the older one being over 16 years old. Took about three minutes to whip the old one off and replace with this new one.

Fcil de instalar. Los gatos han tardado un par de semanas en entender el funcionamiento, al principio les daba miedo pero ya se han acostumbrado y lo usan a diario.

Does what a cat flap does!
We have two cats and I didn’t really think this through as it comes with only one magnet. I’m not too keen on fixing something to a cat’s collar because collars should be designed to come off if the cat becomes stuck and if it holds something it needs to be able to get in…
I disabled the magnet feature for these reasons. Don’t want just one of our cats coming in plus neither wear collars and to disable it I had to use duct tape to hold the clip down.
We were replacing an old cat flap that out dog broke trying to put his head through it when it was locked. He’s a big German Shepherd and a bit clumsy. No injury, just cracked the door.
This one was purchased because it was the same dimensions as the old one and it fit right in. Does its job extremely well.

Fits perfect, easy to install and works perfectly too
Perfect. The only cat that can come in is my cat so I know it works. The previous cat flap was no deterrent for other cats at all but this one is up to the job so when I hear the cat flap open I know it’s my fur baby every time.
Easy to install
Needed this type of cat flap to keep another cat out of the house but couldn’t install direct into wall or door, so could use this one on an inner wall. Rigid enough for my cat to have to push quite firmly against the plastic door to enter but not so hard as to give her a headache! Had to take the little bell off her collar as kept sticking to the magnet and interfering the mechanism.

La relacin calidad-precio est muy bien. Es la segunda que compro, la primera tiene 9 aos y funciona perfectamente. No le he puesto todas las estrellas porque la medida que indican para colocar la puerta no es correcta, hay que colocarla un poco ms arriba, si no el imn del collar del gato no actua y la puerta no se abre.

Slight problems
This was a very straightforward swap for the basis Staysafe model. The flap has a tendency to stay open slightly, so it doesn’t stop other cats from coming in. I fixed this by taping a couple of Pound coins to the flap. No further problems.
A good price for what you get.
The lock works, just make sure the magnet is always at the bottom of cats neck because it mas to be very close to the locking mechanism for it to engage and unlock. It was easy to install and fits fine: always measure twice to make sure!

Dopo alcune perplessit, l’ho comprato ed installato.
Ho bloccato il magnete sul fondo con del nastro adesivo ed ho introdotto la ciotola del cibo in modo che il gatto seguisse la mano e l’ho fatto per circa una settimana.
Ad uscire il gatto non ha mai avuto problemi.
Dopo pochi giorni ho messo il cibo dietro la porta senza far vedere al gatto come facessi: stato sufficiente spingere il gatto verso la porticina (e poi indicargliela) e in quattro giorni ha capito che doveva spingere con la testa.
Al quinto giorno non ha avuto pi avuto bisogno di alcun suggerimento: all’orario si fiondato dentro senza problemi.
Il problema che adesso ha perso il collarino e, quindi, il magnete: consiglio di tenere almeno un collarino ed un paio di magneti di ricambio.

Had these previously, but the cat lost his collar a week or so ago (with the magnet that releases the flap on it), and was so desperate to get out of the rain that he forced his way in and busted the flap.
Swapping it was so easy, just two screws.
I realised after I bough this that I could probably have got just the flap-part on its own, but the original was a bit grubby anyway, and now it’s nice and clean, and not broken.
