Brilliant steam generato
I love it, very manoeuvrable and easy to use. Very happy.
Steam iro
Great iron light to use and irons really well little noisy but settles down quickly great service great value77
Pretty good value…
Having owned two irons with reservoirs before I was keen to find another. My previous models had both been expensive German versions but, having found their customer service disappointing to say the least, I decided to look elsewhere. This new Vaporella model is lighter and uses less water. It is less responsive than my previous units to be sure. Press the steam button and there’s a definite lag before the steam arrives. However, once you become accustomed to this slight inconvenience, you quickly get in to a rhythm. A worry too is that it supposedly only delivers steam at the hottest temperature setting. A concern for more delicate clothes perhaps although I haven’t burned anything as yet. It may not quite be as “all round good” as my previous machines but at about a THIRD of the cost? This has to be seen as good value for money.
I’ve had it a few weeks.
Great Iro
I am very pleased with this steam generated iron. Much lighter than my previous one and much more efficient. Less steam in my face but better steam on clothes, making things like linen a doddle. Love the place to store the plug and lead, making it easier to store and carry. Great, I love it.
AMAZING
I have bought Polti irons now for 5 years this one is ace 2 mins and its ready to go.Brilliant, ironing is done in no time would NEVER ever change from this make of iron, worth every penny and hardly any electricity used.
Best Steam iron I’ve had
Simply put Fantastic, easy to use, quick to warm up easy to descale a great iro
A light iron with a huge water tank
I bought this to replace another steam generator iron , I had a polti traditional iron years ago so bought this one from previous polti and not disappointed the iron itself is very light & a push on the button you get loads of steam from big water tank well worth buying
Excelle
This is a great little steam iron. Really powerful, and cuts through the ironing very quickly. It is light and easy to handle, with excellent steam power and a a clever design which makes it simple to store. My only criticism is that the mains cable and the steam cable are a bit shorter than on my previous iron – but that is not a major issue.
This was a good bargain at the price and ideal for my needs.
My last Polti iron lasted 17yrs and after doing some research, found that Polti are still there at the top for performance. I selected this model after reading The Good Housekeeping review and have to say, it’s quite brilliant!
The iron arrived within 24hrs and I had a pile iron ready. This iron performed brilliantly, cutting through bedding like butter. This is easy to use, no stress on my disabled hand and wrist and I particularly like the eco function.
When you first use it, it does slightly spit water but this only happen once and now works perfectly well.
I can definitely recommend this iron and would buy again!
Very pleased with my Polti .This is my Forth one and they just get better, I’ll recommend this to anyone. Thankyou.
It’s my first steam iron and I am very much impressed with the product. It cuts a lot of time ironing. It’s worth the money
This is my third political iron over a number of years, would not have anything else. Always reliable, excellent steam, never clogs, and light weight.
it does as it should.
I had a polti iron years ago & it was a really good iron, my previous steam generator went wrong saw this one on Amazon so got it all appears to be good.
Heats up very quickly and only need to iron on one side. Perfec
Love this iron, it’s really easy to use, and chugs out loads of steam on demand. I prefer to stand the base unit on the floor underneath the ironing board, the steam tube is plenty long enough, and I just park the iron on the ironing board between garments.. I looked at several brands and models, but chose this particular one because I liked the sole plate, which has plenty of steam holes – some don’t. I also liked the price; other more expensive ones did not seem to confer any additional benefits to justify their higher prices.
Light weight is usually NOT a good thing with irons. Let the iron do the work, I say. 1.5 litres of water makes it pleasantly heavy. If you have weak wrists, just reduce the water level. The pursuit of light irons is worthless in my opinion, unless you have real health issues. However, then you probably won’t be able to replace the weight of the iron with the weight of your ‘push’, so……stick with a heavy one!
PROS
– Efficient steam function with boost and spray
– Temperature adjuster responds fast
– Allows for ‘vertical’ ironing to deal with long creases
– Generous sized water tank, 1.5 litres (so don’t need to stop and re-fill so often when doing a large load)
– Only takes 2 minutes to become hot enough to use
CONS
The cons are minor, and to some degree a matter of opinion. Hence the survival of the 5 star rating!
– Electric power goes into the iron, not into a stand. Normal for most irons, but less so when this high spec/expensive. Means that you are never free of the flex.
– Flex is not very flexible! A possible weak point after substantial use.
This is a heavy duty, robust brand that should stand years of professional or semi-professional use. High quality, over-engineered design. It has a remote steam generator, auto temperature control, anti-calc, etc and eco mode. It makes mincemeat of piles of ironing (as our cleaning lady can testify) and can work for hours without problems or a rest! The only disadvantage I can see is it is quite bulky and heavy and hence may not be ideal for all.
If you’re thinking of doing a whole load of ironing then the Polti Vaporella Simply VS20.20, steam generator iron with large detachable 1.5 L water tank is a must. This is a really effective high-volume iron that is smooth to use, is weighty and effective and does sheets *so* well. I’m not a great fan of ironing, so occasionally do the odd shirt or blouse, but regularly iron bed ware. This Polti is the best iron I have ever used. Steam generation is fantastic and it feels so professional in use. Highly recommended. 5*
Great value for money
This steam iron has all of the benefits of a much more expensive Phillips model @ 250-300 but a fraction of the cost. As you would expect with Polti, steam generation is effortless. Filling with water straightforwad, de-calcing a piece of cake and ironing, (the main part) nearly as smooth as our much more expensive model. There are a lot of budget steam iron models from household names, we moved from Phillips to Tefal recently and have been very happy. We have also reviewed a good budget model from Morphy Richards, that this will now replace as our backup as this is much stronger, better quality and with the de-calc and safety stow feature a no brainer!!
This iron is slightly more compact than other steam generator irons that I have tried before and has a slightly smaller footing. You require a steam generator ironing board that holds these, unless you have an appropriate way to place it while you iron. The water tank holds up to 1.5ltres of water, but this is heavier on steam than some equivalent irons and I did need to top up, but I iron for a family of 6. I imagine an average family load would be finished with only one fill. It has a self clean function, but I have to admit I’ve no idea how that works. There is ample cable length and it all tucks neatly away inside the base. Not a bad iron and average value for money by comparison to other brands.
