I liked the fact it was magnetic, fitted to garage door easily, long enough cable to connect to car battery, seems to be keeping battery topped up on our second car.

Give me 13/14 volts. Sometimes I don’t use my van for 2 months and the security electrics will have reduced battery power to non starting levels. Won’t know how good it is until van has not been used for a while. Good value if it does the job.

Got this to use as a trickle charger for campervan. It feels well made and tough. I like the fact that it has magnetic feet so you can leave it on your car roof or bonnet and forget about it. I got some plastic tubing to cover the cable in case it rained whilst it was on.The cable is nice and long.

My Sprinter would be unable to start after 3-4 days of being sat, and without having the time to trace where the drain is, or work out if its a bad battery, I opted to chuck this in the windscreen instead, rather than having to hook the van up to mains and switch on the charger every time I got home. I can plug it in to the 12v socket that is always live and it keeps the battery topped up via that. On a really sunny day it actually added a decent amount of charge and took it from 12.4-12.7v. Its not flexible so bare that in mind, the magnetic legs that are supplied are good if mounting outside the vehicle, I just rest this on my dashboard and it gets put away when I am out in the van, can’t complain for the price really.

I purchased this to keep my very small battery in my pop up camper topped up. The battery only runs the water pump, a couple of lights and a socket for phone chargers, but over a 4 day weekend we had no issues.
Any shade on the panel at all seriously decreases output, and if I was consuming any more power this panel wouldn’t be enough, but it covers my very basic needs for a sunny weekend away.

I don’t use my car enough, and this solar panel keeps my battery charged up. Works less efficiently in autumn/winter, but so far better than without that caused warning lights on dashboard due to electronics not getting enough voltage. Only gripe is the cable being a bit short that I have to buy a longer cable to connect to battery.

Works OK easy to use comes with bolt on magnets . one of which isn’t but won’t be using them as just leave it on top of dash and works fine

Good solar panel for charging a battery but I bought this to place on a shed roof to run lights via a battery and switch, the problem is that the indicator lights that tell you if receiving sun light, charging and fault led lights are on the control panel which is situated on the underside of the panel so how they think you can view them on a solid roof whether it’s on a vehicle or building structure defeats me which is why I think it’s a bad design. They could easily have embedded them in the top side of the panel as others I have.

I fitted this panel to the a frame on my RIB and it has kept the 12v battery charged for a year so far despite the severe weather conditions. The only down side is that all the indicator LEDs are on the back of the unit which if conventionally mounted would be hidden. It would be better if they were at the battery end of the lead.

Keeps the motorhome (vehicle) battery charged up when not in use. Before I had this I was having to plug the charger in every month. A little tip – place it facing upwards throught the roof light, not through a side window, it works much better.

Decided to keep compact tractor at deer camp pole barn this past winter. It has a AGM battery & bought this unit with extension. It sits high on the outside metal siding facing West & kept AGM battery well charged all winter. (I did not add diesel anti gel additive which would have started faster, but unit fired up). The magnet base is the best ever.

I know little about solar but bought this as I already have a similar one from the same manufacturer. Hooked it up to two 12v batteries wired in parallel on Monday and Thursday evening both were fully charged, could do with longer leads but I’m hoping to be able to buy some longer ones

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersNow had this for quite some time, so can confirm it works well. Had a problem with my Motorhome vehicle
battery becoming too discharged to start after being kept on a dedicated outside storage facility, and not used during the winter months. Balanced this in one of the skylights and let it trickle charge the battery – problem solved! Was dubious that it would do the job behind glass, or in this case the plastic of the skylight,
the answer was yes it would.

Looks well put together and packaging is secure. I have fitted mine with a 12v cigarette plug as it suits my set up better than the crocodile clips. This may void your warranty. Tested it in cloudy conditions and it’s charging my devices perfectly. Control unit and LED indicator is pre mounted to the back side of the panel which is neat and tidy but not easily visible. Would prefer it to be separate so that you can mount it on your 12v panel/board for example. The connector plugs are decent quality too. Overall very impressed for the money.

Used this for my T5. Not used the van over winter and the battery kept going totally flat. So flat that I couldn’t use key fob to unlock it! This worked brilliantly and kept the battery ticking over. Will use on leisure battery when we go camping.

The ancho screws supplied are not long enough. I had to bend/flatten the mounting bracket on one of them the get the best sun exposure. I also had to use a pen tip to turn it on. You cannot turn it on with your finger. It has no instructions on the AI button in the instructions or video.

I didn’t read the description carefully enough when shopping for a trickle charger for my daughter’s car; I wanted one of the ones that sits on the dash all the time, but this is a much larger item that magnetizes to the body and has to be taken on and off if you want to use the vehicle. It seems excellent, and we are going to use it for other things around the property on our hobby farm.

I installed these solar panels for my cat house. They produced some electricity even if there is no sun but with only 1/10 of their capacity. This is good because during the winter months, there is no sun. My cat needs some heat source to stay warm. Thank to good design of the panels. They can be installed instantly on any surface with very strong magnets. They used no electricity for charging regulator.

I don’t need it during summer, so no point in reviewing when it’s full sun. As others said, the power it generates on winter days is not enough even to trickle charge small batteries, unless you have a good place to install that has full day sunshine.

It’s not practical to leave on the motorcycle, as I have to cover it to protect from snow, so I’m back leaving the battery on a tender in the garage.

All in all, not the products fault, which should be fine for more prolonged uses in boats, motor homes, caravans, etc.

Four stars because my usage may not be the main design of the solar panel, but not five because the clamps are not designed for long term usage, like in boats or motor homes. I bough a second cable with ring terminals for my other long term storage battery.

Clamps, and the 20W advertised, is what got me into buying it, thinking it was a temporary solution for a morning top-up before the ride in the afternoon, but it isn’t. At best, it keeps it from going too low, but still needs a tender to top-up before the ride, so for me, it’s useless.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAfter my car had been in “lockdown” for 16 weeks I was left with a flat battery. To avoid this happening again my garage suggested I purchase a solar charger to place in the back window of my Lexus when not being used. I reviewed various products and decided on the Powoxi which my Lexus garage were happy to fit, however it is seems easy enough to fit by yourself. So far I am very happy with the product which is working as advertised.

I bought this solar panel to maintain charge on a leisure battery, which it does nicely! The solar panel has a controller at the back of it with an easy read display. Red to indicate that it senses sunlight, blue when charging and green when fully charged. It senses sunlight even when overcast although it won’t be the same output as when in direct sunligh

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis solar panel was used to keep the battery on a Motorhome topped up, as the vehicle was difficult to start after periods of being left standing I thought I would try one and set this up , as I have a tracker app on my phone that tells me the energy values of the batteries I can daily check the voltages and they have remained at a good charge and often in good sunshine actually improve , the battery since installing this panel has never dropped to a concerning level, as of yet I am highly satisfied and would recommend that you try this and make your own opinion on the product.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersWe’ve had issues with our cars, during lockdown, as we have hardly used them – so the batteries are not getting good runs to recharge the batteries and we have had to jump start them more than once as there’s not been enough power. I bought a normal, plug into the wall, charger but wanted something else. I’ve really been getting into solar power – all our garden lighting is solar, and we now have solar on our roof – so I looked to see if such a thing (a solar trickle charger) existed. I was surprised by how many there were, to honest, but most of them weren’t very powerful and I needed something fairly big as my car battery is twice the size of a normal battery because of the engine size (5.2L) and needing plenty of juice to get the car started.

I bought this one due to the size / power of it, and also that it looked good with the design and metallic feet / rope loops on top. In use, it’s simple and easy to install. Just attach the clamps, red first then black) and position the unit in place. Mine sits on top of the boot, with the wire feeding into the boot at the top so it is secured in place. It takes a few seconds to put in place / remove, so I can use it / take it off as and when I need it. It keeps my battery ticking over, and no more weak / flat battery issues since I’ve had it. I’ve also had 3 different people ask me where I got it as they want one for their cars!

Sturdy and easy to use charge

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI had the previous version of this, which worked well and kept my Porsche battery maintained over days of no-use.
I now have this updated version, which overall I think is better both in performance and design:
It has 6 (not 4 as described) very strong mounting magnets, I have galvanized steel fascia on carport and this took all of 30 seconds to mount in an ideal position; not sure about the additional 6 rings on the front for mounting but they do give several mounting options – better than the small mounting holes in the previous panel’s frame.
The control unit is now integral to the panel, avoiding the need for the separate box and cables of the previous one. However, rather strange to mount it at the rear as in some situations it would not be possible to view charging lights – why not have it facing forwards on top or bottom of panel frame?
I have checked the no-load output from this panel, and even in very dull weather (typical Scottish Highlands) I was measuring 16.3V; cloudy bright 18.2V, bright sun over 20V. It does exactly what I wanted, so much neater than a trailing mains wire to trickle charger, then connection to car. I wasn’t sure if solar panels were the answer to avoid our car batteries slowly discharging, but they are!
POWOXI have been incredibly helpful in the first instance when I had a problem with the control box on the previous panel, their response is rapid, practical and show up so many other companies who don’t seem to care once they have your business. I would not hesitate to buy from them again.
