These only arrived yesterday and set both up with a scoop of peanut butter for bait. We knew we had something in the house and within 24hrs one of the traps caught the culprit. A rat!! In the hall way .. these do work!
The rat traps work. Just be aware, that there are two packed together. I believed there to be only one, it’s not obvious from the pakaging. I complained, then realised, and apologised, the seller was very understanding.
hese traps are very powerful and do the job in a split second with a clean dispatch.
But they need to be set up in a proper place. with the design it is easy for the vermin to eat the bait from the trap without triggering it. as they can eat it without putting their feet on the trap.
so they work much better by putting them in a small cardboard shoe box type of design where the bait is at the back of the trap and the vermin needs to crawl through the trap to get to it not around the side. that way you are guaranteed of a 100% kill rate.
Amazon would not post my original review as it contained a photo of the product in use with a dead rat. If the image of a dead rat offends, then this is not the product for you as it actually does work!
UPDATE: In 1 week with this trap, it has caught 4 massive rats where other methods have done diddly-squat. Effective and easy to use.
They’re easy to set up, very straightforward, and seem robust and sturdy.
We haven’t caught anything, but the traps have been disturbed and no visitors have been seen for a couple of weeks now so hopefully they’ve moved back to the canal.
I’m refreshing one trap regularly, just in case
So no catches this time, but I’d certainly buy these again if needed. String, straightforward, affordable, exactly what we needed.

I had to wd40 the second one before it would trigger. Caught some mice in it although I was expecting rats. Used peanut butter as bait. Easy to set up and easy to dispose of critters without touching them.
Pure rat killers, within space of a week I caught 7 rats! I’ve bought more expensive rat traps, that didn’t kill them instantly, but this sure does! And for the price for 2 is brilliant. Highly recommended
Strong, solid and snappy when the rodent sets it off, its not going to escape.
These are great. Didn’t work at first but once I secured the traps to the ground (I used a couple of metal skewers) they worked a treat. Tried various other traps but this was by far the best solutio
Trap was closed twice and Nutella gone but got him on the third go.
So we bought these as a last resort and they definitely work! We are constantly catching rats. We put a little peanut butter on the hole and they are catching them within hours. Highly recommend this product.
What can I say got the rat 1st night, it was still in same place I set it so it did its job instantly
So it does catch them but the rats keep on coming I’ve got three up to now, I think i will change to rat poison..
These traps work brilliantly. With the right bait these traps worked within 20minutes of setting them.
Worked fine however you must nail or screw them to the floor or the snap of it will just launch it into the air and the rodent will escape. Once it was secured rat was caught straight away.
Killed 2 rats, they work. But be sure to put the peanut butter right into the bait hole, so that the vermin has to lean right in to lick it out. If you don’t the rat will have a tasty treat and likely escape unscathed.
These traps were delivered today at 1.15 set by 1.19 and caught two rats by 1.21 !!!! Very pleased can not thank you enough Great value quick delivery and easy to set ! Just caught another one ! Three within the hour really amazing would recommend Thank you Susie !
Don’t know if they effective or not as the rat I was trying to trap has disappeared.
Had a large visitor in our loft and it seemed to be growing stronger by the day. Like a Superhero at night, all I could hear was, Pow, Crash, Thwack. I put some Nutella on both traps and later that night – Kerching! Massive guest checked out. Buy with confidence, the traps are very powerful, so I’d suggest testing it out before setting. Chocolate spread was great as bait, as I could hear the pitter patter and scratching from about 8pm, which was mega early for our nocturnal guest. By 9pm it was no more.
Very fast acting, put some peanut butter on end, Rolly and Rosie rat were dead within a day. Very easy to set up just be careful though as very sensitive and they could break your fingers. Definitely recommend these traps. The bang once caught is very loud so be aware.
Easy to use (even though mine came with no instructions) and i actually forgot id left this trap in my loft. Checked this morning after waiting 3 days and presto! I got the little #### (insert bad word) so all in all this is a very effective trap. Be careful though, i did accidentally set it off myself and it was rather painful! Traps are reusuable so ive already places them back up there. Im sure there are more.
Had a cheeky rat in the attic that loved eating bags and bags of rat poison, might as well have been pet food. Just put two of these up there and not 5 minutes later I hear one trip. One ex-rat. Very easy to remove from the trap thanks to the handle.
After setting it up and putting in the loft where I’ve been hearing mice across the ceiling. Within 10 mins it caught my first mouse. Did the job and has done so multiple times. Highly recommended

I bought a 2 packed based on the reviews. I needed these for my green house, mice or rats were eating my plants. I have caught 5 mice in three days.
I used peanut butter as bait as per other reviews. I put the bait in the little bait pot, I use both thumbs to pull over bar and click under catch to set it. Next day dead mice. I will stop when there is still bait in pot which means no other mice around to eat it. I would highly recommend these over the basic wooden one which didn’t work.

Read some negative reviews so I didn’t know if it would be any good. In the past I’ve found that a lot of the time you have to take these with a pinch of salt as sometimes they don’t know how to use the stuff.
I set one trap with chocolate and the other with pate and caught the rat in my attic within 8 hours. It was not a large one but the trap triggered OK and it looked to be a clean quick kill.
Did the job amazingly. Placed it in the loft late afternoon and when checked the following morning the mouse was caught and dead

I had a mice and rat problem due to next door building and extension and the rats coming from under the foundation. So far this has killed 1 rat and 2 mice. I recommend to use Cheddar cheese as the rats are attracted to this and will be killed. Loved the ease of use and been worthwhile to purchase.
Got them and set them with a bit of cheese killed my first rat within 2 hours of delivery and 2nd overnight make sure they are tied or staked 2nd was very large and moved trap 1 meter before dying first was instantly killed changed bait to chicken tonight let’s see what happens
Easy to set up, much safer for fingers than the traditional style traps.
Did the job.
We kept seeing Mr Rat run across the patio. Put these traps down with chocolate honey spread in and within hrs Mr Rat was laying next to the trap dead. What can I say, they work! 4 days later no more sightings and traps still all empty, so looks like Mr Rat may have been a loner.

Day 2 .. traps delivered and placed in flower beds , bated with peanut butter and C*****y’s dairy milk.
Day 3 .. one trap with fox-gnarled rat now in centre of lawn. 2nd trap missing presumed activated.
single remaining trap reset and this time wired to garden bench.

Had them down 5 hours and already caught a mouse using a peanut butter. I didn’t know if I had mice or rats and i wasnt sure if the weight of a mouse would set this off so bought two kinds of traps. However, this caught the mouse fine own its own so top marks.
Load it up with peanut butter and the rats will come….the trap does the rest. This has worked numerous times for us across the past 6 months, pests now well under control

Excellent purchase. Caught 2 rats on the same day as delivered. Can’t catch mice as they are not heavy enough to release the trap. Mice sit on the trap and enjoy the peanut butter.
