It lasts a couple days before you have to switch them. The lights show if it’s fully charged or charging which is helpful.

This is a really nice compact little two cell charger, the device has it’s own integral USB cable so there’s no scrambling around trying to find the cable that the kids have moved. The cells that go into the pads last a really good amount of time and it takes seconds to swap them out of the pads and put on change.
Next day delivery. No warranty or instructions included. However fairly logical to set-up. Compact size enabled me to tidy up the working area. Batteries fit snuggly into new series X Controller.

The package arrived quickly and the battery pack fits inside the controller perfectly well, the separate charger comes with its own fitted charging lead, works well, does not get too hot as some reviews suggest, for the money very good value.
Bought this product for my son’s 14th birthday. Had researched a few and opted for this one based on battery life. Fantastic purchase, son is over the moon and hasn’t complained once about his controllers.

The battery is great, holds up one week of medium playing time. The wire is smartly attached to the charger and it’s simple to use. I have to say I was expecting it would be a bit cheaper but I totally recommend it all the same!

Firstly, I still do not understand why Microsoft does not just make the batteries rechargeable in the first place, so we wouldn’t need other alternatives, however these packs are essential for any Xbox owner.
Firstly they are compact and take up little space, probably about the width of 2 playing cards, the batteries go in individual slots to charge and the best part of these packs is that you can charge them via USB-C, Micro or the small attached cable if you have a USB slot – basically you have the best of all worlds.
The batteries themselves also last ages. I play semi regularly, probably about 6-10 hours a week, and they last months. When one does go, it takes seconds and I am back in the game. The indicator lights at the top of the unit tell me which unit is charging and full, so if a player two arrives, they can grab and go.

I also like the USB charge cable that sits snugly housed on the left hand side (the cable is flat and rubberised). Great so far, battery life seems longer then advertised which is great. Tidy little housing for the batteries to sit in while charging.
Have only had a couple of weeks but can’t fault these batteries at all.
Good little battery set which is compact and simple to use. Only issue is that the charging lead is very tight to stow and could be stretched and damaged if forced. Therefore may be an issue for children or those who are ‘heavy handed’.
Does exactly what you need it to do. As a casual gamer I am getting days and days of battery life.

Our middle child is a lot on his Xbox, so buying batteries got expensive this was an easy fix. We lost the battery pack to the first one we brought, so we actually have 4 batteries and just one power pack, but the batteries still fit in. Deffo recommend if you are a gamer, these last a long time too before having to change the battery. Easy to charge too and cable fits neatly away once finished so no cables get tangled or lost.

These batteries seem to be working great and do exactly what they say on the tin. The joke is, they actually fit better in the controllers than the genuine Xbox ones. I’ve never known why, but the genuine batteries are a real struggle to remove and feel as if they get stuck a little. These fit in nicely and hold securely without being a nightmare to take back out. Plus, they even have a bigger battery capacity than the genuine ones

Literally the only downside I can pick up on is the charger. It is good, works well, and the USB cable for charging is built into the side a slots in nicely. But it just feels a little cheap. Very minor but as long as it works well….

So overall these are a win-win and I’d certainly recommend them. Only thing I will say is that I hope they’ll last as long as the Xbox rechargeable batteries I had previously.

Easy to install and appear to be totally safe and reliable. They are compatible with my console as promised and is definitely cheaper than an OEM battery. They charge quickly and don’t overheat so I feel that they’re safe.

Overall, this is a convenient way for my wirelessxboxcontroller battery management. Using disposable battery does seen wasteful. Its a case of charging it up overnight as it takes approx. 3hr to fully charge.
I can’t say that I have seen a battery recharger like this before that gives you the choice of recharging separate batteries or the joined batteries like those you have for the likes of xbox controllers. It’s great to have a choice.
We have historically burned through lots of AA batteries used to power my kids’ Xbox controllers – this was both expensive and not very environmentally friendly. This rechargeable device is proving to be a great replacement and offers a cost-effective alternative to traditional batteries. The fact that you get 2 batteries means that one can always be on charge whilst the other is in use, providing continuous power. Battery life is very good and the product is easy to use. Got it a 3 days ago still using the first battery this is definitely worth the money. Doesn’t make your controller look weird like other battery packs
As gamers we get through a lot of batteries and have moved over to rechargeable to try and help the environment. They initial outlay may be a little more, but over time you save money and help put less batteries into the recycling. This ‘Rechargeable Battery Pack for Xbox One’ is in many ways your typical charger. It is more compact than some. The charging cable comes wrapped in the side and you pull it out each time. You will have to supply your own USB plug, but if you are anything like us you will have a basket full of these by now.
The main difference is that there are not four separate AA batteries, but instead two duo packs. These fit effortlessly into the battery slot in the Xbox controller. It is a simple thing but saves a little faffing. Not great if you plan to put the duo packs into some other devices, but perfect for the Xbox. You get two sets so you can swap one in and use the other or have two controllers powered at once. It seems well made and does not warm when charging. You can also charge other batteries you may have so it can become your main charger.
Does everything you need to to to to ensure your controller is never without charge – saves buying new batteries. Easy to use –

There are a multitude of very similar battery packs and rechargers for X Box controllers and all do pretty much the same job. This one is perfectly fine.
This unit has two sets of paired batteries sealed together in the correct alignment for the X Box controller. The charging unit, powered by a built in USB connector and lead, has as simple light system so each battery pack has an indicator light to show it’s charging (red) or fully charged (green). The first few charges I’ve done have been fairly quick and there’s no sign of over heating – both supplied battery packs work well in the controllers.
In terms of value – this is a little more expensive than some other units for sale on Amazon but all the options you could choose will save money in the long run by preventing the need to buy endless replacement, single-use batteries, so any of them would be recommended.
I couldn’t believe the amount of batteries my son got through on his x box. He’d almost filled a carrier bag with batteries for recycling. This charger is perfect and will save me a lot of money. He’s very pleased with it, particularly the battery life. Highly recommended.
Perfect fit for my Xbox one controllers. Charge time is around 2.5 hours. Play time is around 20-25 hours. The twin pack allows you to charge one while paying with the other. Great value for money & in no time will pay for itself without having to constantly buy high power AA batteries. No instructions but it’s self explanatory- red when charging. Green light when fully Charged. Worked perfectly with my usb plug ( not included ) but supports multiple charging methods Exceeded all my expectations
Decent rechargeable battery set for your xbox one series x/s
Easily charges the two 2550mah batteries (offering approx 25 hours of gameplay) or can charge 4 x AA batteries (check the polarity) in about 3 hours but tbh at 19.99 there are cheaper rechargeable battery options around.
The compact charger has an inbuilt USB cable for charging however you can also charge with a micro usb and usb-c so can be just plugged into your phone chargers.
Decent enough idea if a little pricey for what it is but also there is no protection from inserting batteries in the wrong way so very reliant on you checking the polarity yourself.
As my children, small and big, all play on Xbox, getting this was a must, as they get through the batteries in the controllers so quickly, so this charger is perfect and come with two batteries which you can recharge for many many hours, so good value for money.
The design is clever, as the two batteries are combined together, so two AA batteries in each pack, so you get four in total and they fit into the controller very easily, also, the charging is clever as well, when you put the batteries into the charger they will only go in in the correct polarity, if you try it the other way they don’t go in, so a good safety feature.
I am very happy with this charger and the price point and have given this charger five stars overall for functionality, ease of use, safety and value for money.

These batteries come with their own charger, which I used to give the their first charge. It has its own integral USB lead so all you need is a power supply and you’re away..
Fitting into standard Xbox One controllers was easy, just make sure you line up the + and – contacts of course in the right places.
I also tested the controller’s ability to charge these internally using a micro USB lead, and the Xbox One showed the controller battery status as being on charge so it works! I had thoughts of having to take these out to charge them, but no they’ll charge in the controller so non-stop gaming goes on!
(EDIT: Having had these for a while now I have to amend my observation above. The DO NOT charge in the controller. The indication I saw was the Xbox reporting that the controller was running on an external USB power source, it was NOT charging these batteries, you still have to take these out and use the supplied charger. That means if you’re in the middle of a game and these go flat it’s a bit of a pain, and in truth these are only lasting a few hours in total between charges. Best method of using these is take them out and put them in the charger after every gaming session)
Overall for less than twenty quid at the time of this review these will power two controllers and eradicate the need to have a huge multipack of AA batteries on standby as we always have done. Well worth the money as we go through a large number of AA’s in a fairly short time. Saves money, saves the environment.
Gotta give these 5 stars for that. (EDIT: dropped to 4 stars as they’re not lasting as long as one would hope, and you have to take them out to charge them all the time. They do save on AA batteries though)

This battery charger is nice and compact, the fold out USB cable tucks neatly into the casing for storage and it sits comfortably down the side of my Xbox. Having two batteries included makes life easier if you game a lot. Once one battery dies, swap it to the fully charged one and keep going! I’ve used docks for the controllers before but never really liked the look of them. This way I can keep my controllers fully powered and still store them in a drawer to keep the place tidy!

A battery charger and two batteries for the Xbox one, S/X. They are well made and fit neatly inside the controller.
The battery charger came with an attached USB charging lead, which is wrapped around the chargers case, for easy storage, but you can also use your own Micro USB or USB C charging cables, and plug into the available sockets on the case.
Each battery gives up to 20 hours playing time, give or take an hour, and takes about 2.5 hours to fully charge. A red light comes on when the batteries are charging, which goes green when fully charged.
The charger has over charge protection, so if you forget about your batteries on charge, then they won’t over charge, they will just switch off when charged.
They don’t get hot whilst charging and are definitely a lot better than using loads of non rechargeable batteries, saving you money in the long run.

Having had these batteries for about a month, I’m going to revise my review upwards, as the battery life is noticeably better than a couple of AA batteries. We use good quality rechargeable AA batteries at home which I control on a strict rotational basis (to avoid some being over-used and others not being used at all) and this battery pack gives noticeably longer life between instances of my son coming to me for fresh life for his XBox controller. I still think it’s a pricey solution, but it’s IS a good solution. Recommended.

You can buy more rechargeable AA batteries with a charger for the same money, so unless you need dedicated battery packs for your XBox controllers, I suggest just buy rechargeable AA batteries and a charger instead. (Please see update at top of review)

This is an initially appealing, compact battery charger with two battery packs. Each battery pack replaces a pair of AA batteries, and is rated at 2550mAH. The charger accepts micro USB and USB-C power cables (not included) and also has a USB power cable attached to it, which fits in very neatly around the body of the charger. See pics)
The batteries should only be inserted into the charger (and XBox controller) the correct orientation, though there is no protection against the incorrect fitment of the battery packs. While it’s clear which way they should be inserted, they are not foolproof, so some care should be exercised when in use.
Charge time isn’t particularly impressive, and I left the battery packs charging overnight. (Charger output is claimed to be 500mA.) The charge light is red when charging, and changes to green when fully charged. I’m not impressed that when I removed the fully charged battery pack and then immediately re-inserted it, the charger charged away for some time, and eventually I removed the battery pack to avoid damage. It seems to me that this is a battery charger that does not pay much (if any) attention to the state of the battery it’s charging.
Everything seems well-made, with no rattles, creaks or unduly cheap feeling materials. It’s quite an attractive, compact set. The battery packs fit perfectly into the XBox controllers and there’s no problem replacing the battery cover on the controller.
No instructions are provided with the set.
One of the most useful questions you can ask yourself when buying a product to use for a purpose is: “What is the problem I’m trying to solve?”. That question is most appropriate when deciding whether or not to buy this product.
If the problem you’re trying to solve is you keep running out of batteries for your XBox controllers, then for the 20 asking price, you can get more batteries and a charger for your money.
If the problem is your Xbox user struggles with “fiddly” AA batteries, then the batteries aren’t particularly easy to get out of the charger, and it’s quite possible to insert them into either the charger or the controller the wrong way around.
However, if your problem is you have a family member who keeps borrowing your XBox controller batteries for use in other devices, then this set might help, as the battery pack design reduces the alternative uses for the batteries, and there’s an increased chance they won’t fit whatever they’re being borrowed for. The built-in lead won’t mysteriously disappear, either. But it’s quite an expensive solution to that problem.
I might have given this product a slightly generous 4* if the battery charger was a bit smarter, but as it is, costing the best part of 20, this is very much a 3* product for my money. That said, it might make an appealing present for an XBox owner, particularly someone who is sick of their XBox controller batteries going missing due to people borrowing them. This unit is great for charging the battery packs included for our new Xbox. No complaints at all, it’s lightweight and not too much to look at but it charges fairly quickly and it’s a simple to use device.
I do prefer my charging dock that holds the controllers whilst they charge as I think it’s quicker/less hassle but this is a good alternative. I’d buy another.
This is very good. I have only reduced one star in the battery life because I haven’t had this very long and don’t know if the very good battery life will remain very good for a decent length of time.
It is a very good build quality and works really well. It’s also not a big item, being no bigger than it needs to be, and that’s good because it can be put anywhere without being in the way of something.
I think this is a great addition to the XBox consoles it works with and recommend it.
I was previously using rechargable batteries for my xbox series x controller, but i would often find that my spare set had mysteriously vanished and turned up in a torch or automatic bin lid… thanks to my wife or kids.
Anyway , with these they wont fit in anytihng else so they are xbox controller only!. Perfect to make sure i always have spare set. That said, they do last quite long anyway so i have found i dont have to change them half as much. Quick charge too!. The charger uses usb, and has a cable conveniently attatched already.

I can’t fault this, in fact I bought another so my son has charged batteries at all times. They work well and the chare holds for a decent time
The charger is nicely designed with the main USB power cable attached in the side that you just pop out and plug in to charge your batteries but stows away nicely to keep the unit small and compact. On the top there is also a USB-C and Micro-USB port if you want to charge using those cables.
The batteries are nicely designed as well and fit snugly in my controller (just take note to put them in the opposite way round to how you charge them so the polarities are correct.
Each one lasts ages I would say closer to 20hours playing time but depends on the game I guess and only takes about two and half hours to fully charge them back up again, and that was charging 2 at the same time.
Overall, great set that I can’t fault, and at 18.99 I think its great value for money.
