Revamping my back garden I needed a spade to cut though roots and this one certainly does that it’s strong and sturdy the only thing I didn’t like was the price at 60 but I suppose you get what you pay for but I do recommend i

I used this on slightly damp grass to cut an edge away from the flower borders and it worked perfectly, easy to insert, to press and to cut through the grass roots. The design of the handle and shaping of the cutting edges is really well thought out.

I’ve had a few edging tools over the years and they’ve all broken at the bottom of the wooden handleprobably due to me using them to creat new edging and carving up section of lawn to remove for beddings etc. anyway, I’m really happy with this purchase. Used it to create a new flowerbed and to section off turf to be removeddid a great job including breaking through 2 inch thin roots.

I bought this in May 2020. It has been the best spade I’ve ever bought. I thought it was pretty indestructible until today. The shaft which is wooden has just given way. Such a shame. Even though it’s only lasted 2 years, I’m buying it again as if I had not attempted to leverage out some heft clay soil it would have last longer. I will simply have to restrict its use to something lighte

Whilst this spade was not cheap, the quality and feel more than compensates. Some particularly stronger/deep-rooted weeds in the garden were causing some pain, plus the soil was packed solid. After slogging away with cheaper spades, this is like a hot knife thru butter (almost); now if I can just get someone else to do the digging… LOL.
I bought the Roamwild Fork as well, but have still yet to test this.

What a great garden aid this is. Really, really good. I bit heavy for a mid eighty year old. Half size would be great. But I love it. Worth every penny.

With effort cust through even the toughest clumps of bamboo roots, which is why I bought it. Doesn’t feel like it would break unless you went silly with it. I was hoping the spade edge and teeth would be sharp, but maybe there’s a reason for that.

I think this is a brilliant spade. My son broke my last one, it snapped. This seems very sturdy so far and easy to use. Not super light but I’m 5ft 6 and slim and have easily unloaded two bags of soil and two bags of plum slate. it’s good at cutting through impacted soil too.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBeen using this for last few months metal detecting. I detect in very heavy clay soil. This is perfect for digging in that ground. Having the serated edge to cut through tough roots is brilliant. The grip works well, and perfect design for shoveling aswell as using it as a spade. It’s light weight enough to carry it all day with one arm behind you or over your shoulder.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for metal detecting

Absolutely amazing tool for the garden especially if you have a stony soil. I was hesitant to buy due to the price but I am glad I have not compromised. Two previous forks I bought bent after a few hours of digging in our garden but this one is very sturdy. I was able to dig out big stones and nothing happened to it. Highly recommended.

It seems sturdy enough but hope it don’t bend the size can be perfect if not tall and the design of it is how all Spade’s should be designed for it’s a fun and useful product and haven’t noticed any problems yet but can scratch and could bend

Perfect fun, all should be this desig

I bought this multi function spade for my husband, as his old spade broke in the heavy quary gound our garden consists of and he is absolutely delighted with the product. The spade cuts though the heavy ground easily and the handle has a soft grip that makes the spade comfortable to use..

Really pleased with this spade. Would not have been able to dig through clay and stones to make wildlife pond without it. Great help for a widow in her 70s.

A sturdy garden tool that acts as a spade and a garden fork. I used it to dig over an overgrown area that had been left uncultivated for nearly 7 years. I am a 71 year old woman and have arthritic knees, but managed to clear the area much faster than I would have done with a conventional garden fork. The area was cleared so that I could prepare a bed to lay a lawn. The digger looks good as well and I enjoy using it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve had this for about a week. Put it to use straight away. Very strong and does digging jobs very well, particularly where there are roots. It looks very strong and well made and hopefully it will last for some time, but then for 45 quid you would expect it to.
Con: It has a soft grip handle which one would assume would make it more comfortable to use, but I found that this just makes it chunky and awkward to use. I ended up having to wear gloves when using it.

So far so good. Wanted a light fork as I am unable to lift the one we had. Was a bit dubious at first ad not cheap but read reviews and decided to give it a go. This came promptly and did not disappoint so far. I can actually use it and it gods into the ground well. Certainly recommend. Also looks good!!

I have 25 years over me in Groundworks and I don’t think I have ever used such a comfortable tool. Great length and I’m 6ft she’s a lightweight tool hard and sharp tines that won’t bend. I’ve snapped roots 30mm with ease digging rootballs is fair easy with it. I thought it was a gimmiky tool when lookin online and a bit pricey but time will tell the real construction of the fork because it’s gonna get used and abused. In all honesty I would recommend it to others.

Cutting through thick sod is almost effortless. Can dig a deep, clean sided hole easily. Comfortable handle with several ways to hold. Blade has a serrated edge for cutting tough roots. Well made, quality materials and expect this spade to last a lifetime.

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our UsersThe well thought out design puts this tool in the category of smart tool. No batteries or charging required.
As a professional gardener, taking mature plants, shrubs, and trees out of the ground
has always been really hard work.
So I tried this out on a day I was directed to remove a one hundred year old rose and a small tree.
In the past I would use a myriad of tools to coax these out of the ground. But my intention was to only use this tool.
3 hours later with both extractions complete
I was quite satisfied with my purchase.
This is not the only shovel of it’s kind being marketed on amazon. I discovered it by reading the reviews of a competitors product
which were quite negative about build quality.
I was suspicious of the fibreglass shaft and rubber fittings, so I presented the shovel to
some landscapers working the site next door and said try this out and try to hurt it.
Four hours later it was back in my hands in perfect condition. The crew declaring they
we’re gonna buy a couple for the company.
    Highly recommended.
    Can you dig it?
    Yes YOU can!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis is a very clever design which has become my favourite tool for jobs that need a spade/shovel. I have used it for cutting and lifting turf and found the pointed blade with a wide lip makes it easy to cut the turf and the second handle is much less jarring on the wrist when cutting the roots underneath. I have used it to shovel gravel out of a bulk bag where the pointed shape digs in more easily than a standard shovel and it is very good for digging planting holes where the pointed narrower blade picks up more soil from the bottom of the hole than a straight edged spade. I am hopeful that the serrated edge will allow me to slice through dock and thistle roots well underground in a wild area to knock them back but I need to perfect the technique for that. Overall, the tool is strongly made, well-balanced and comfortable to use. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBeen using it for a DIY project and so far very impressed. Spade is sharp and tuff. Digs out turf and sod with ease. Cerated edge also great cutting away at roots when digging. Only notable downside is the size of the head just on the small side for any significant shoveling jobs. That’s being really picky though as most people will have a larger shovel for diff tasks.

    Definitely recommend

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHeavy to hold if you have arthritis, not sure how long the black coating on the blade will last – but boy does it work! Sliced through Phormium roots in a very short time, letting the spade do the work. Piece of cake! I had been making no progress at all with an ordinary spade and fork. Very highly recommended.

Its ergonomic design makes it easier to use than traditional forks
Helps break up roots and no clumps on the tines due to the blades design
it is comfortable to use and feels an extremely sturdy tool
i would highly recommend this item

Borrowed my neighbors fork to dig a small pond. Theirs was a basic garden fork which did the job but was hard work. Decided to expand the pond a few months later and this time purchased this fork and what a good decision that was. Digging out the pond was noticeably easier this time. The design of the fork made it easier to dig out the large chunks and then break them down. Would definitely recommend this fork over the standard design.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersBought this because my husband always seemed to be using our spade when I neede it – not any more!!! This is his spade of choice to be fought for. The pointed leading edge slices through soil and roots like through butter, we have heavy clay. The foot tabs make it comfortable for feet and it looks so nice it actually gets cleaned before storing. On the downside it is not the lightest spade I’ve used so you need to let the spade do the work for which it has an excellent handle. So – very nice piece of kit but will need to see how long it lasts.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersForget Dickinson. This is the Real Deal…..!
I just dugout brambleweed roots and tubers from clay soil. Ground full of stones , so it’s heavy when wet and rock hard when dry. No problem for the Roam Wild. Serrated edge able to cut through tough roots and spade digs deep enough to track roots. A good weight, but light enough to handle easily. Worth the extra cost. Well made , so should last a good while! Ur search just ended!
