Good looking kettle
This is a great looking kettle. I bought a plastic kettle as I was fed up with the scale that built up on my metal kettle. It is light weight, boils quickly and looks good. My only complaint is that it takes ages for the plastic taste in the water to disappear. It took a good few weeks until I could use the water for weak teas without tasting plastic.
Modern simplicity for the kitche
Looks amazing, although not the easiest to clean when limescale builds up. The filter is not great too, i still get limescale fall into my tea.
Highly recomend this kettle
We spent ages reading all the reviews on kettles before I nearly lost the will to live and eventually just went with one that looked good and was cost-effective. How lucky was I? We boiled and rinsed 3 times before using it and this kettle was amazing from then on. Boils fast, fills easily, looks good, and most importantly plugs into our Alexa plug and she turns it on from every room in our house. Recommand.

I was dreading the arrival of this kettle given reviews in general for kettles.
Love it, thought it might be light and plastic looking but it has a good moderate weight. Quick boil and to me it isn’t noisy – another dread reading general kettle reviews. I took days and finally took a chance and I am a very satisfied purchaser.
Beautiful desig
Crispy white lines for this stylistic kettle. We bought several items of this particular collection of Russell Hobbs, the toaster, kettle , coffee machine and microwave. It would be better if the items were made of proper steel , but even made with plastic are a nice addition tot the kitchen. The blue light touch is a lovely add. We are really happy with them.

I love this kettle and it’s even better than what I was expecting. Easy to wipe clean not too noisy when heating the water too. And looks very stylish in my new kitchen with the matching toaster .
Excellent value for money.
I have used them both and I’m really pleased they work well the kettle is fairly quiet and quick to the boil. The toaster has very good responses and a keep warm button. Really happy with this purchase.
Fast boil
I am not going to lie, I bought this on the spur of the moment because my previous kettle had broken on the on off switch. I deliberately chose this one because the switch looked more robust but I have been delighted by its ability to boil water in well under a minute, whether I watch the kettle or not. It definitely boils – quickly.
It’s a Kete
Those lovely people at Amazon have invited me to write a review of this kettle. Quite how I do this is a bit of a no brainer. You unpack it, swill it out, then add water, flick the on switch and the water boils.pretty much like all other kettles really!!! Points to note, if you live in a hard water area, it soon furrs up, and because of an inverted lip around the top of the kettle, it ain’t easy to swill the resulting loose bits of calcium out of the kettle. Also it takes a while for the ‘plasticky’ taste of new kettle to disappear. That said it does what I bought it for!!! Russell Hobbs are good no-nonsense kettles, and value for money. Errrrr. That’s it!

I purchased the kettle and toaster as my toast had just stopped working. I bought them together so it was cheaper as I wanted the kettle to match and they’ve never let me down yet fingers crossed I absolutely love them, the only one strange thing is on the toaster you have to push the right side down first before you can use the left side which I’ve never seen before but that doesn’t really matter I just thought I would let people know encase they thought there toaster was broke lol ( it’s not ) but a stunning pai
Good except that the 'fullness' view is in the wrong place
Excellent in most ways, but the transparent strip that allows you to see how full it is is aligned with the handle, and difficult to see when filling the kettle. It would be much better 90 degrees to the left of the handle, so it could easily be seen when filling.
Great Kettle
Replaced my last one which lasted 2.5 years. A bit noisy, not that fast but it doesn’t seem to suffer with lime scale that much so looked good with just a wipe. Very pleased with it’s performance.

The kettle matches our toaster perfectly. Whilst all kettles just boil water and the is nothing terribly exciting about one, we are absolutely delighted with its appearance, quality and price. And it comes with a three (I think) year guarantee. Well worth the little extra.

Bought to use as a one cup boil kettle and does not dissapoint as this does boil very fast and you dont have to walk away and wait as boil time is around 40 secounds so a great product thanks
Great kettle
Great kettle, I bought a black one for parents and a grey one for me. They both look good, are quiet, boil quickly. A review for a kettle may seem pointless to some people but there are some rubbish one’s out there. This one is definitely worth the money that Amazon sells it for.
Stylish
Love the style of this product. Although I did nearly send it back due to horrible tasting water out of the kettle. Finally got rid of it by boiling a few lemons inside the kettle letting it cool down and repeating a few times.
Stylish and easy to use
Lightweight and easy to use. I was a little unsure about the removable lid as my previous one was a click button to open it but I soon got used to this one. Good white colour to go with my new kitchen although a little bit plastic looking. I still like its style though and it certainly boils quickly. Very happy.

Kettle great. I know it’s plastic but could not decide which kettle to have and during look down could not go and look at them in shop. Took the decision to get toaster and kettle until I could view Smeg ones. Well I am very pleased with my purchase and won’t be rushing to change until they break down.

Lovely looking kettle. I only bought it temporary to get my canister fixed. I will keep it though. I thought it was a bit heavy to lift when it’s over half way and it’s better looking and boils faster haha. So if I didn’t struggle with picking things up it would be ideal. Love the colour too.

I absolutely love this! I spent weeks reading reviews and comparing and I’m so happy u bought this. Its very quiet, boils fast, easy to clean and it’s beautiful on the eyes! I’m so pleased with my purchase. I cant wait to get the toaster ! Some people complained about taste,mine was amazing, I boiled 3 different sets of water throughout the day allowing it to clean itself then on the 4th boil i used it and it was find. Trust me this is a keeper and with 3yrs warranty why are you looking elsewhere?
Lovely Kettle and Toaste
I love this Kettle and Toaster, got them in White and they look lovely. The Toaster has an easy removable tray for the bread crumbs and so good at Toasting you dont need it turned to the highest setting like a lot of Toasters. Very happy with my purchase. Kettle is quick boil, does its Job while looking good

Excellent value for money, the kettle looks really smart too, the rapid boil is the best I’ve had in a kettle so far. The kettle is really light weight which initially I thought felt cheap however when the kettle is full is really a bonus as its lighter to lift.
Lid is totally detachable so easy to fill.

Quiet kettle
Lightweight, quick to boil, quiet kettle. Plastic sides but none of the “odours and tastes” others complain about. Take out of the packaging, a couple of initial “freshen up” boils and off you go ..good all round attractive kettle..does all that anyone could ask it to.
Stylish, very tactile. I love the ‘plastic’. I was nearly put off buying this kettle by some of the previous reviews, but glad I bought it. The plastic is sturdy, lovely feel and handle feels comfortable. I boiled it 3 times before using it to make our first cup of tea…absolutely no ‘plastic taste’ other reviewers have mentioned…and I have a very sensitive sense of taste!
The only downside is where the viewing window is, hidden somewhat by the handle, but it’s not a deal-breaker. Our last kettle was Russell Hobbs and it lasted much longer than any previous kettle we’d had, so I was keen to buy the same make.
A Good Kettle
Russell Hobbs kettles were de rigueur in households up and down the country during the 1970s. Then branding came in and now some forty years later this Chinese Russell Hobbs kettle emerges with satisfactory volume, efficient use of fossil fuels and guaranteed boiled water in a nice black body with a metallic chrome strip around its base.
Good kettle but looks cheap in the flesh
I really like this kettle, it’s stylish and I bought grey to fit incoming new kitchen. It’s large, quiet, easy clean and boils fast but I must admit I was a bit disappointed with it being so plastic-y at that price. But it does the job better than old one and looks the business. I should have read description more carefully.
It's a kettle that boils water and looks good
Purchased asking with the matching toaster and to be honest they look great. The kettle performs as expected – you put water in, flick the switch and a minute or two later you’ve got boiled water which is exactly what I wanted it to do. No one needs fancy features which are unnecessary, at the end of the day it’s sole purpose in life is to make you a brew.

he kettle is fine had it only one day so canot give full stars yet but I like the soindless quality, minimal sound that is. I can now watch tv and hear the tv!!! 2 questions I think are unsuitable hence low mark.. flavour and warmth , don’t understand…water tastes the same and warmth hmm maybe it gives ambiance to the room …
LOVE my kettle
I love my new kettle! I’ve had it for about 4 months now and it is working brilliantly. Yes the exterior is plastic, but that’s a bonus in my opinion as there’s no chance of hard water residue sitting on the rim or exterior. It looks gorgeous in my kitchen and the pattern adds depth to the area. I ordered the white one and it’s great. Also ordered my mum one and she’s had no issues either.

I am so pleased with my new kettle i purchased it with a bit of hesitation as i had read some of the reviews, but because i really liked the design i went ahead with my purchase and i’m glad to say there is no tainted smell of plastic that some people have experienced. i would recommend this kettle, in fact i have ordered a second one for my daughter.

Love this kettle, it looks great. It boils really quickly so that’s ideal and the lid lifts off really easily compared to other kettles I’ve had. I’ve got the matching toaster as well and its a lovely set.

Excellent kettle which was purchased after another make was returned because it was broken. This one is solidly made, and I would now no longer go back to using one with a hinged lid as this removeable one is so much more practical.

Stylish looking kettle, very efficie
I cannot believe how classy this kettle looks.
I had searched through products and reviews for about two weeks looking for a nice looking kettle that wouldn’t have limescale.
I was drawn to this one because of the little filter at the top.
So picture on Amazon does not do it justice as to what a lovely looking kettle this is.
It looks stylish, boils quickly, and isn’t the loudest kettle that we’ve ever had.
We’ve only been using it a week so I can’t say what the buildup of limescale will be but as the body of the kettle is plastic it surely has to be less than the last one I had which was chrome. There is a small amount of metal at the bottom of this kettle where limescale may build up over months, but as I said it has a small filter to prevent bits from coming through into your drink. Absolutely absolutely amazing purchase.
In common with other reviewers, I found there was a bad taste initially to the boiled water. However, as per instructions, I filled up with water and emptied. I did this 5 times in total and on two of these occasions I added a couple of teaspns of bicarbonate as suggested by another reviewer. After this there was no bad taste and has not been since.
The kettle boils quickly and shuts off without over boiling the water.
It looks great and matches my toaster which was the main reason I purchased this particular kettle.
Only downside is that it is made of plastic (though seems to be a really good quality plastic), which is obviously not environmentally friendly. I am trying my best to buy things and live a lifestyle that is more in tune with the environment, so not happy with myself about this. My last kettle was made of glass but did not last long (only a year). I hope this lasts at least 5 years, fingers crossed.
Perfectly Parctical
What can you say about a kettle… It boils water!!!
This one does however does have a filter much like a tea strainer which can be removed and cleaned, I guess great for hard water areas.
Has a very tactile casing and no complicated buttons to open the lid, it has a good old fashioned removable one

Simple, efficient, stylish kettle - recommend
An excellent kettle for the price. Despite being very plastic and therefore not everyone’s taste it is a surprisingly stylish kettle. We went for the grey model which blends well with the kitchen. In regard to its functionality, its superb. It boils a single cup very quickly and even full well within the 2 min. Top marks on boiling. Its easy to clean, the lid fits perfectly and the spout is very well designed so no spillages. The only markdown is the cup level window. It is not that easy to see, a bit small and located behind the handle. Takes it down half a mark so overall 4.5 but at a little over 30 its an excellent value kettle.

This is a great kettle!
Fast boil, measuring marks external and internal are great, makes you boil only what you need by showing you internally even, how many cups of water you have filled the kettle with.
The internal markers are little red tabs that are set at different heights, when the water spills over one of them, you have reached that many cups.

I have seen one or two reviews which suggest a plastic taste to the boiled water, all I can say is that I boiled it full three times before use and noticed nothing. Another reviewer was disappointed that the interior was plastic, but I think that unless you buy a stainless kettle, this is usually the norm.
Up to press, we are very happy and prefer it to the expensive kettle it replaced.
Does the job.
This kettle replaced my Russell Hobbs kettle which finally needing replacing after several years. I chose another Russell Hobbs because I had been pleased with my previous two. So far I have had no problems with the new one. It is the style and capacity I like. I live in an area with very hard water, so furring can be a problem, but I am used to dealing with this. I would have no hesitation about buying this kettle again.

I had stopped using electric kettles around 10 years ago in favour of the one cup type but thought I’d give a traditional one a try again this time. I should have done it a long time ago, the ability to boil just one cup is quicker than the one cup kettles and can be fully boiled not to just below boiling point. A full kettle takes around 3minutes to boil
I spent a lot of time on Which? reviewing kettles and chose this as it was highly rated for filtering/ ease of clean and boil speed but was also more delicate looking than some of the others.
We’ve had it for 2 months and it’s been great. No issues with water flavour that some people mentioned. It’s super light, easy to gauge water levels, easy to fill and clean. No complaints. It’s much lighter than our old metal kettle which is a real plus.
Its higher rated than most expensive kettles are and you can’t go wrong for this price!
Looks good and works well with a few niggles
This kettle has stylish modern lines and looks good on my kitchen worktop. It boils quickly and pours well. The on/off switch lights up blue do you have no doubt if it’s on or not I’m very satisfied with it as good value for money and appearance A few slight negatives. The clear window does not go all the way to the bottom so if boiling a small amount of water you don’t know how much is in it. The top needs to be lifted off, in retrospect I wish it had a pop up lid this would make filling a bit easier.

I know its plastic but we’ve got really hard water which always clings to the rim of a metal kettle and I end up scratching it off so hopefully the plastic will prevent this happening

I have tried and tested many kettles over the past couple of years, living in a hard water area we have a bad problem with limescale, we double filter the cold water before putting it in the kettle as straight from the tap is a no no !! This kettle is the nut’s, easy to clean inside and out, great handle which seems slightly wider than normal for easy grip, just fantastic i love it !!!!!!!!!!
This kettle looks very smart in my mum’s kitchen. I was a little concerned about her using a model with an incomplete handle but it was her choice and she said it’s easier to pick up and lessens the chance of burning herself at the base of the handle. Being made of plastic that’s not as hot as a metal one. Mum tends to fill it from a filter jug so it reduces the lifting on and off the base and, anyway, she never fills it completely otherwise I think it could be on the heavy side.
Overall she is pleased with her new kettle.
Lovely kettle
This is a lovely looking kettle. I was initially worried it would look cheap as it is plastic, however it doesn’t look ‘plasticky’ and has a nice shine and colour to it. Ergonomically, it is nice to hold and easy to pour, with no drips. The lid comes off easily. I like that there are tabs inside so you can measure the water level for one or two cups. It’s not overly noisy either. My cups of tea taste normal too with no plastic taste, as I’ve had with some kettles. My old kettle was hot to the touch but this one isn’t. Pleased with this purchase.
Very nice kettle
I really like this kettle. It’s one of the nicest kettles I’ve had. It is much quieter than some I’ve had. It’s easy to pour, no drips and isn’t heavy. Only downside is occasionally it doesn’t click off when it’s boiled but as I’m usually nearby it isn’t an issue for me. I bought the matching toaster.
Our last one lasted three years. That is longer than the others we tried. This one costs a tiny bit more but losing the kettle just in time for winter is not a pretty picture! I just bought this one again after comparing all the other options.
The only scale that happens is on the bottom, easily cleaned. But the BEST remedy for scale is don’t use water straight from the faucet. Hello! Use filtered water.
It is lovely to look at…goes nicely with our Longhi coffee maker and our Krups grinder…all black and chrome.
Yes, it is plastic on the inside as it is on the outside. But the bottom is stainless steel as are all the important parts.
This is hardly that expensive. A full-on stainless steel kettle puts the wallet back a few. I find this price well worth it, since it works like a dream…quietly, quickly, and hotly… ;0)
and ….it Lasts!
Love this kettle and toaster set. They look great too. Kettle boils quickly and is a lot quieter than my old one. Because it’s plastic it doesn’t seem to get as hot either so no risk of accidental burns if touching the side. Toaster works well. Only negative is that on the kettle the lid collects condensation underneath so when filling the kettle if you don’t lift it at the right angle the water drops will drop on your countertop.
I got this at a really good price from Amazon. Russell Hobbs seems to be a trusted name and I’ve not been disappointed. There are handy little marker tabs inside the kettle for judging the amount of water you need for purpose and the inside seems very clutter free. I like that the lid comes off. I have large hands and the removable lid makes it easy for me to get the little mesh filter out for descaling. It’s quite a heavy kettle but the handle is very comfortable to use. Decent length of flex as well and the base unit is sturdy and stays flat where you put it. This is not the case with some cheaper kettles I have owned. All in all good value for money for a smart kettle that boils water rapidly
Looks good and lightweigh
I bought this to go with my toaster, it’s lightweight easy to clean and rapidly boils. Inside it has a good feature that you can easily measure 1,2,and 3 cups if you so wish. On the outside is also an indicator that shows the quantity of water in the kettle, very pleased with this item and it’s good value for money, win win all round.
A good size, good looking and functional kettle.
A nice looking kettle. Fairly quiet, fairly fast to boil, easy enough to fill. The only downside is the fill measure is in front of the handle so a bit hard to see. The handle feels nice and it pours well. No taste or smell after the initial boil.
I bought this because I wanted an established name and the colour matched my kitchen. I am very pleased with it. the quality of the materials feels good and the handle is smooth and comfortable to pick up. You can fill through the spout and also the lid comes off easily using one hand. (my last one needed a strong tug). I would happily recommend this kettle to anyone.
I bought this kettle not really expecting much from it, other than its colour matched the decor of my new kitchen. How wrong was I? Ive lived a long life and , obviously had relationships with many kettles throughout my life, some very good, some not so good! To be honest, when it came to kettles, I was a ‘take it or leave it’ kind of guy….as long as they boiled water then I was satisfied, not over excited in any way but, you know, content? Well, as soon as I turned this little beauty on I knew I was in for the ride of my life! The boiling sounds she made were like a symphony! Not only did she look good , she came to the boil really quickly and easily and I was satisfied within a very short time. Highly recommended!!
Great Kettle
Only just recieved this kettle, but I’m very pleased with it. I filled and boiled it twice (as per instruction manual) before the first cuppa was made and there was no plastic taste, just a great cup of tea. The kettle looks good, has a decent cord length, is quick to boil and pours well, plus I had no problem seeing the water level when I filled it. Inside the kettle are also level indicators for 1, 2 or 3 cups, which is useful and the lid removes easily for filling. All in all a great product at a very good price.

I love this kettle. It is very good quality, looks smart and does the intended job well. It easy to fill and the lid can be taken off and replaced easily, no fiddling about. it comes to the boil quite quickly. I always use filtered water so find no lime scale build up at all and we live in a hard water area. I am very pleased with it and I love the colour.

Excellent generally and key positive (unlike the ridiculous morphy richards we had previously) the kettle locates every time on the base with ease to save dangling around at arms length trying to sit on the base to make electrical contact…. you would think it a fundamental of design but hey ho – this new ones great so easy. Also registered for extra year gurantee is good (why dont manufacturers get that we the consumer want to see that they have some faith in thier product and offer reasonable guarantees anyway!) Seems to have worked for Hyundai?
Was slightly suspicious of ‘plastic’ body as some feedback for certain units (other manufacturers) is less than complimentary re taste… I have to say no discernable issues with this – filled and boiled and rinsed repeatedly before first ‘drink’ use. No issue and believe me if anyone had inpacted on my beloved tea there would be an issue!!
Also very pleased the lead is white and not the obtrusive ‘stand out’ black of most previous options and kitchen elecrical goods.
Only minor gripe is the base could be a little wider to accomodate more than one wind of flex – its stable so thats not the issue but our worksurface and socket dont require much flex length and it only has option to wind the (quite generous) flex round once and only one ‘outlet’ cut out under the base – its not a deal breaker but just means we have a small but uneccessary section of albeit white flex ‘on show’ wheras i’d ideally like to have wound more round (like the previous morphy richards allowed ironically) a larger base would also make the kettle even more stable (so not a bad thing with boiling water eh?) so come on Russell Hobbs – pull your socks up and do what all good chinese companies do… copy best practice!
All in all an excellent item and looks as if it should cost far more. Aesthetics and finish are premium standard.
Delivered yesterday. I normally prefer to review some months after receiving an item so the following review is with reservations, pending time. First of all, I don’t understand some previous reviews. One in particular gave the kettle one star Because the reviewer claimed the kettle description said it was metal when in fact it said chrome accents which is perfectly correct. If you read the description properly, it clearly states plastic. If you’re that worried about picking up potential carsogens from plastic, READ ITEM DESCRIPTIONS CAREFULLY! If you want a larger capacity kettle then a plastic kettle makes sense as it should be lighter. It’s possibly not the lightest plastic kettle available as the plastic is a dense high quality moulding which seems excellent and the design is very pleasing to the eye with a high gloss finish and lovely looking chrome. After a couple of boils, I didn’t notice any plastic taste or odour. Some people might be a little more sensitive but it certainly wasn’t an issue for me. With regards to what appears to be an excellent finish, time will tell if the chrome accents wear off the plastic. The lid has a nice easy glide but purposeful catch so it’s easy to place on and remove but also feels like it won’t fall off. The on off switch illuminates along with the water level window. There is a small amount of play on the switch but personally I find this acceptable. There are 1,2 and 3 cup indicator levels inside, mounted on a vertical column. My wife always finds this type of indicator difficult to read. I find them easy – personal preference. Additionally there is also a cup indicator on the water level indicator window. The worst part of the design is the position of this window which is hidden behind the handle. Why this couldn’t have been positioned opposite the handle or at least on the side beats me. This is the main reason I’ve awarded this with 4 stars, otherwise a very nicely manufactured and good looking kettle with a large capacity.

I was expecting it to be stainless steel tbh, but it being plastic means it’s lightweight, so can’t complain about that. It’s really quick boiling, not noisy, does not keep hot for a very long, being plastic. Overall, nice kettle, thank you!
Fast boil!
I love my new kettle! I love how it looks, kind of reminds me of a bee hive! Most important, boils quickly unlike my last kettle took forever! The lid is easy to remove , it’s light weight. I cannot fault it at all. Am delighted with it. Delivery was much faster than I expected too! Totally recommend.
Good quality kettle and modern aesthetic. The ridges of this design and the gloss finishcan make it a little more tiresome to keep the water spots off, but this is a minor niggle.
The small red plastic level-markers on the inside of the kettle are a nice and simple feature. It allows the user to boil only the amount of water needed which saves energy and time. Length of the cable is good, so should reach the nearest socket no problem.
Quiet and Quick

Most importantly it boils water quickly – and quietly too compared with our previous noisy old thing.
As others have mentioned, the view of the water level indicator is obstructed by the handle a little. Doesn’t really bother me.
very impressed
This kettle suprisingly matched the coffee maker I bought my son. So I made a lovely tea and coffee station for him. I bought the ikea balck stack boxes, place the kettle and coffee maker together and notice the desing is exactly the same. The performance of the kettle is also great.
Shame it does not descale by itself. … I returned the previou s model and pleased I chose this one. Well done Amazon!
Nice looking kettle, very lightweigh
I purchased this for the office. It’s a very nice looking kettle. Looks more expensive than it is. Very lightweight but not flimsy. Base is weighty enough that it doesn’t lift up with the kettle and move about. Subtle blue light when being used.
I wonder why I am asked to rate it for flavour? No idea, haven’t tasted it but the water it boils tastes great.
Perfect kettle
Perfect kettle I’m in love with it. Easy to clean outer and easy access filter for cleaning. I like the lift off lid better than previous ones I have owned that just pivot up. It’s got a really nice on switch as well. I think this is the best kettle I have ever owned. Highly recommend.
Bought this for my nan as she wanted something a bit more modern. It’s so shiny and looks so lovely and modern in her kitchen. It’s lightweight it’s empty which means it’s not too heavy when full, my nan doesn’t find it difficult to lift and pour. Lovely design, great value for money. Only downside is that the limescale filter doesn’t stop all of the limescale from pouring out the spout, there’s gaps at the side that it comes out of. Nice kettle though.

Our old kettle broke just as lockdown commenced, so I was very happy to receive this one in good time. It look very stylish, it is not too heavy, made out of plastic it seems. The lid is easy to remove and there is a 1, 2 or 3 cup indicator inside which is handy. Hope it lasts longer than my last one.

Nice looking kettle!
Arrived quickly and looks great – no scratches or marks. Love the lift-off lid, makes filling and cleaning much easier. I agree with the other reviews that it has a horrible plastic taste to begin with but 3 full boils with 2 tlbs of bicarbonate of soda added, sorted this out. Boils fast, quiet for a full boil, noisy for a 2 cup. For the price, a good kettle.
Nice Kettle
Delivered next day, easy to use, looks good. The only irritating thing is the circular knob on the lid, when you put the lid on the side it just keeps rocking from side to side which makes an annoying sound. Otherwise perfect.

A decent kettle for the price
This is a decent kettle for the price which is fast to boil with a clear view of how much water is in it.
The negatives with are how it looks and tastes! it is much bulkier than I realised, and really a bit ugly, plus the plastic nature of it meant that we must have boiled it full about 30 times before we couldn’t taste the plastic in our drinks!

Well I compared the boil time to my other kettle which also claims to be fast boil and it took about 20 seconds longer.

My wife loves this kettle purely on its looks , it’s very contemporary looking and the white suits the kitchen colours . It has a large capacity and it has a very bright blue light inside and on the little starting switch when operating. Personally my favourite thing is how easy it is to fill it has a large lid,with a good sized handle .This makes removing and filling the kettle really easy ,as I have arthritis in both hands this is a bonus for me. I also like the fact that because of the large lid you can get your hand inside for cleaning. A lot of reviews have commented on the plastic interior.Personally I do not find this a problem no funny tastes of smells as some have stated. I want very little from a kettle I want it to look good and boil water this does that in spades. If you like the look get one as it functions as it should with no issue ,and it’s handy if you suffer as I do with arthritis the lid is very easy to remove and replace.
stylish, boils quick, but the button is a little flimsy
his kettle is nice, stylish, not too heavy and matches the toaster of the same range. it boils really quick and is not too noisy. need to knock a star off for one reason – the button is quite weak, flimsy even. it is quite loose, has a bit of play in it and generally feels cheap – not what you’d expect from a kettle of this price range. otherwise, a decent kettle.
My Kettle is beautiful & very elegant , as you lift it you realise that it’s quality. The lid comes off completely so you can get you hand all the way inside to properly clean it. It boils fast and the markings inside for 1, 2 & 3 cups ensures that you don’t have to ever over fill it. The black colour hides any ugly limescale marks, I am enjoying using it. will recommend it.
This is a fine looking kettle with a design reminiscent of a beehive. It is easy to fill either via the spout, or by removing the lid, and it has markers inside, useful if you want to see the level for just one or two cups of water. It’s A blue light on the on/off switch makes it easy to check the you’ve turned the kettle on. It boils pretty quickly, particularly if you don’t feel it to the top. It pours very well – no annoying pools of water on the countertop. For the first couple of days, I did feel that a plasticky taste was leeching into the water, but that quickly resolved itself. I am really pleased with this kettle. A key reason for choosing it was because it was available on same day delivery on the day my old kettle broke. However, it turns out to have been an excellent purchase and is highly recommended.
Nice item at a nice price.
I like this kettle because it’s reasonably priced and because I can get my hand inside to remove the filter etc. It boils water quite fast and then switches off quickly. The only issue for me is that the water level indicator is under the handle and not very easy to read in poor light.
Hadn’t realised till now what a pita hinged lids are, this easy removed lid makes filling a doddle with a proper man size hole on the lid to lift it off with.
Pours well, nice and light to handle, quiet enough in use, a more squat design than many so less likely to fall over if knocked, on/off switch is easy no faffing to find it, useful light shines through the end of the switch when it’s working.
Only criticism, if the interior light was white instead of blue it would be easier to see the water level, but that’s all i can fault this useful kettle on.
Very pleased with it and hope it’s still made so we can replace with the same when this one eventually dies.

I spend ages pouring over the reviews before deciding on this kettle. I am really pleased with my final decision. I filled and boiled it twice before making my first cup of tea and can honestly say that I did not experience any nasty taste. It boils quickly and is of very smart appearance. Now thinking of buying the toaster to match. Only downside is that you need to take the lid of to fill rather than a flip lid, but I don’t find that a problem. I’m glad that I ignored the bad reviews on this kettle, as I am over the moon with it.

Works Well
It’s so hard choosing a kettle, as none are perfect, so we decided to go with something at the cheaper end. This is plastic, but seems to be fine, not flimsy. The whole lid comes off to refill, so no button to press, and inside there’s red markers to show 1, 2 or 3 cup levels. That’s handy, as the fill screen is behind the handle and not easy to see. It boils quick enough and isn’t too noisy. The on/off switch seems a little plasticky and maybe potentially flimsy, but that’s the only downside that I can see.
Smart looking Kettle
I’ve used Russell Hobbs kettles before and never had any problems, and as yet no problems with this one, it is a very sturdy kettle with a 100mm diameter opening for easy filling with a good sealing lid, it’s very easy and straight forward to use, it also complements the the 2 slot toaster sold with it, and it also looks very smart and modern on our black worktops. I filled it up twice and boiled it to take the newness smell of it away and no problems with the water after that.

This is a really nice kettle I have gone through three kettles in the last four years mainly due to problems with flip-top lids with the mechanisms for opening these type of lids failing there for the lid won’t stay closed also a leak on the water level window on one kettle this kettle, however, has an old fashioned lift-off lid so no problems boils fast and quite too I love the design also hope this helps highly recommend this produc
I never realised my other kettle was slowing down. Next to my new one it’s like comparing a racehorse with a tortoise. And it’s so lightweight after my other one which is so important to me. I have a wonky shoulder on my right which is the hand I use, so this new kettle being lighter is a real boon. I couldn’t believe how much water I’d been putting in because of this. I have to keep reminding myself to check the level so I’m not boiling more than I need. And I love the design and colour.
This is the best Russell Hobbs kettle ever. the old one was still working perfectly after god know how many years, but the lid mechanism broke and it became difficult to use so looked for a replacement. On the new one the lid come off completely so it can never break. Excellent upgrade by simplification Russell Hobbs.

I could say it has good design. It is good value-for-money.

Bought matching toaster with kettle at a shop for a higher price, saw Amazons price so took back to shop for a refund. I love the look of this kettle , it is nosier than my last kettle , it boils quickly , it is a lovely bright white. I am happy with my purchase. I saved 25 on kettle and toaster. I am a age where kettles and toasters do not look robust like they used to,but it is now a throw a way society. I love looking at it.

Kettle (white) looks very nice in the kitchen, I really like the honey jar design. The handle is comfortable, easy to turn on with the illuminating stick button, it pours extremely well, and it boils very fast….two cups will boil in one minute. It is quiet in operation. The metal looking parts on the kettle are metallised plastic so they are warm to the touch but don’t get hot. The only true metal part is the band around the base of the body with the maker’s name on it. Very happy with the purchase! I like the blue illuminating window…the placing (behind the handle) is rather well thought out as you can always see it. It’s a pleasure to use.
Love this kettle, it looks so nice in my kitchen along with the matching toaster. I love the fact the lid comes off for filling and a lot of people said the water gauge was a problem hidden underneath the handle, personally that really doesn’t bother me. Only thing I will mention which I’d read about in other people’s reviews before purchasing which was really helpful is… boil the kettle 5/6 times changing the water each time to get rid of the plastic taste. Other than that I can’t find a fault with the kettle.

The kettle boiled its first mug of water for tea in 60 seconds.The tea tasted fine.The kettle seems about half as noisy as I am used to.The second mug boiled in 45 seconds,while the elements were still hot from the first boiling.It pours just fine.4 stars as this is only the first day of use.
The kettle needs to be filled, boiled and emptied a couple of times to get rid of the plastic taste.
I am quite pleased with this kettle. One big disadvantage, however, is that the water gauge is not in an easy place to read. However, that is my only complaint. I like the kettle’s sturdy look and the easy removal of the lid. The handle is well designed and it fits snugly on the base without needing to move around (as I had to do with my last kettle). I love the shiny, grooved look of it.

I’ve never really bothered that much about kettles in the past. Even when I changed my kitchen I kept my existing kettle and toaster because they were working fine.
In the past when my kettle has stopped working I’ve gone down to Costco and bought whichever one they had in at the time. And it’s always been stainless steel.
Anyway my existing kettle had stopped working a couple of times. My husband fixed it but I figured it was time for a new one. I decided to look on Amazon before going to Costco. I noticed this, it stood out straight away and so I ordered it.
It’s a fabulous kettle. It works just as well as all my previous (more expensive) ones but it looks so much better.
It’s the same capacity as all my previous ones so nothing is different there. The lid is easy to take off and so I use that and not the spout to fill.
It’s a fast boil and quiet with a white lead as you’d expect with a white kettle.
The problem is now I want the matching toaster plus a white white Tassimo.
Love the style and cool sides ( you don’t burn yourself or others) as well as the quick boil. Great for a quick cup of tea but equally good if several cups are required due to its capacity.
Really pleased with it and have bought the matching four slice toaster.
