This is such great value for money
I had a Makita that cost considerably more which broke after 18months
I’ve had 2 years, about 15 blades later, 2 kitchens, 3 bathrooms, 4 sheds, fences, decking etc etc
Id say better than a diy tool

Light and ease to use. Gets stuck on ocassion but may be due to not using original ryobi battery

My old one was good, this works just as well if not better and has a laser line marker to make keeping on line even easier. Not having a cable makes such a difference so this is my go to circular saw.

Great tool; light powerful and accurate. I swapped the blade for a Makita one for a cleaner cut.

The saw does exactly what is required and with a 4 or 5 Ah battery copes well with 22mm plywood.

Wanted one of these for a while, considering its hand held it works just as well as a mains powered saw. Excellent saw!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLightweight, blessedly free of a trailing power cord but with plenty of power for timber and MDF / chipboard. I used mine with a 4Ah battery and it’ll cut for hours. The cutting speed is excellent; the thin 1.5mm blade slices 22mm MDF as fast as you can move the saw. It would be nice to have a blade with closer, smaller TCT teeth to make it easier to get a fine edge but with masking tape to protect the cut edges while cutting and the very fast rotational speed of the blade, it does a very creditable job. I need to investigate whether non-Ryobi 150mm dia x 10mm bore blades will fit OK; theory says yes, but…….

The laser guide is excellent too; clear and easily seen in daylight.

A remarkably robust tool yet easy to handle over a sustained period. Tackles demanding tasks with ease. The laser light helps to achieve a near perfect cut and the ‘balance’ gives a sense of confidence. Its portability makes it ideal for site work.

I have 5 of the plus one tools & this one is far & away the best, the blade is ultra thin & as long as you hold the saw & push it in a straight line it`ll surprise you just how long it`ll last (with 4 amp batteries). it juuuuust about cuts through 45mm in depth, 3-4 cuts to get through a w`top mind you, (give it a fighting chance guys!) I recently cut 36 18mm MDF boards, one cut straight through each time mind, 8ft long & was astonished at how well this wee saw performed, best money I`ve spent in years. must be used in a straight line mind you, wander off just a smidge- it`ll simply stop!
I use mine professionally & I`m still using the original blade!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAs I say in my other reviews about Ryobi ONE+ tools, if you are looking to do heavy duty work then its all about having the right battery. Using a 4.0Ah battery I used this as my main tool in building a 12 x 8ft animal shelter. It was able to rip through 12mm ply and treated timber. Really performed far better than I thought it would. In order to keep going at max pace I bought tow of the batteries I reference above, having one on charge while using the other. The only downside id the 4.0Ah batteries aren’t cheap!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis used product had all the parts as advertised and works as described. I have used it on numerous occasions and it has not let me down. The cut is very good and is very well balanced when in use. Easy to use and not too noisy.

Should have bought one of these years ago. The laser is a brilliant idea. I’m working in a roof space cutting old flat roof boards out ready for insulation so its a HUGE help. Good cutting ability and the battery doesn’t run down too quickly on 1″ boards.
Buy one even if you never use it :):)

I was given a couple of large batteries and a drill for Christmas and whilst I had used it a lot I was beginning to wonder if anything would run them down. I then had a project to build the shuttering for a concrete base for a feed silo so I purchased this to cut up the shuttering ply.

Cutting two sheets of 3/4in shuttering plywood is just beyond the capability of this saw – in terms of depth only! It sliced through the top sheet and almost though the one underneath with great ease – although it did give the batteries a bit of a hard time and for the first time I found you could find something to drain them – after about 25 meters of cutting at full depth.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersBest tool I own, bar none! Will rip through wood and plastic without skipping a beat. Bought mine to lay a deck in the garden (36sq metres) and it handled it beautifully. If you’re doing a lot of work you may want to invest in one of the 4ah batteries, the 1.3ah ones will last a couple of hours though.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our Usershi, I wasn’t expecting much from this circular saw but have been pleasantly surprised.
With the old ni cad batts it’s not great they slow down too quick.
I’ve been using it with the 1.4 ion batts and am really happy with the performance. I was cutting loads of 4×2 with it the other day. It cuts to 45mm i think so not all the way through a 2″ timber but i just turned it over and cut again, I used the fantastic lazer to line it up with the old cut and it made easy work of it all. You need to go slower than a power saw or the blade will just stop, so no ham fisted ramming it through the timber but it’s not a snails pace either. I am really impressed with it. This price seems ok too.
It has a nice feel to it as well. Regards Mark
