PRESSURE FIT GATE RANGE
The Safetots Pressure Fit Gate Range are available in a variety of colours as well as widths from as narrow as 61cm, up to over 3 metres.
Pressure fit baby gates do not require drilling any holes for installation. The pressure fit pads on the gates simply twist outwards until the correct pressure is applied for installation. All of the gates which are advertised by Safetots have passed the EN1930:2011 standards.

Perfect fi
Easily installed, looks great. Perfect for our stairs due to it being slightly wider space than most stairgates allow. Easily operated but difficult enough that it would be hard for a child to work out how to open.
Good gate, useless instructions
Very nice gate and sturdy. Looks great. Instructions were absolutely USELESS though which caused installer to have to drill two more holes so I have extra holes in my wall. If instructions were clearer it wouldn’t have happened.

I’m 9 months pregnant and it took me all of 5 minutes to fully install this gate, gives you range to adjust to fit any space. Perfectly secure on hinge side so no chance of lifting. I open one handle or even with my foot if I choose to leave it ‘unlocked’. Gone on to buy another 3 for the rest of I’m house.

Great product. Just what we needed to decide our kitchen from the new puppy area. Had to lower it from the templates I used in the box. Bear this in mind if it’s being fitted for a puppy. Does the tick. Once adjusted awesome. Thank you

Great gates with no trip hazard
Now bought three of these and think they are great, although my latest package arrived with the wrong fixings and fittings such that I had 3 hinge fixings and the top catch. Would it be possible to send out a bottom catch to complete the order?
Se abre con una mano
Nos gustaba el diseo en madera y las puertas son muy suaves y no se astillan. Alguna piza de madera puede aparece mr un poco combada por la naturaleza del material pero no afecta a la funcionalidad. Se pueden abrir con una mano cuando ya con el tiempo ae adquiere habilidad, al principio cuesta mas.
La instalacin fue un horror ya que los tacos no son muy buenos y no agarran en pladur pero con paciencia, tacos y tornillos nuevos, las instalamos bien. A veces las sujecciones cogen holgura y hay que repasar los tornillos o tacos.
En general habiendo probado otras opciones como las de puertas sin agujeros de presin que no nos gustaron nada, esta es una buena opcion. Tenemos en cuenta que las tendremos unos cuantos aos asi que el hacer agujeros es una opcin aceptable.

Damaged screw
Overall not bad gates. 1 screw which suppose to keep the 2 wooden gates together was damaged before i even assemble the gate. I cannot use the screw so one part of the gate is is not fixed properly.

facile da montare se si ha una certa manualit con trapano e avvitatore. Non ad incastro ma con stop al muro, questo permette un buon ancoraggio e non aver un profilo che sulla base potrebbe essere di intralcio.
Arrivato nei tempi e nonostante abbiamo acquistato “usato” era praticamente nuovo.
Probably ok if fitted righ
I was very very close to returning this. Screw fit gates are a lot safer but they are are also a lot more hassle to install. We drilled in the opening side first then went to drill in the other side and realised that the fitting would be slap bang on the edge of the skirting board (therefore impossible to fit!). Our fault for not checking but also seems a fairly stupid place to put the fixing when most houses have skirting boards and most skirting boards are a standard height.
Then my husband used an 8mm instead of the required 7mm (couldn’t see it told you anywhere…?).
Because we had to drill the opening side twice because of the skirting board fiasco my husband had pretty much destroyed the drilling guide first time around so we had to fit by eye. I think they’re slightly off as it’s a bit hard to line them up when closing.
Really wish I’d gone for pressure fit – I’d take the trip bar any day.
Fab gate, just confusing instructions
Bought this to stop the dog trying to run upstairs every time we come in from a walk. Our stairs are located at end of a hall so I fit it in the doorway that leads to the stairs.
Couldn’t understand the instructions at all so did what I do best – just started fitting it and hoped for the best. Actually turned out okay. I would suggest making the gate up to the required size according to the instructions (that bit makes sense), then attaching the bottom hinge fitting where you think you want it, then try it by hanging the gate on it. That also gives you the correct placement for the top hinge fitting. Once both of those are done you can pretty much estimate where the locking fittings need to be, athough I did have to make a couple of adjustments to mine.
Now it’s in place it works really well. Very easy to open and close, cat can crawl underneath but dog can’t. Perfect.

Bello e robusto, impossibile da aprire per un bambino
Il cancelletto e molto carino esteticamente, si adatta all’ambiente casalingo benissimo. Da punto di vista della sicurezza lo trovo perfetto, mia figlia non mai riuscita ad aprirlo e quando chiuso mi sento molto sicura.

Sturdy and easy instal
I just bought this as cheap temp option so I could stop the dog coming through into the next room when mopping etc.
If something passes the house while behind the gate, she will jump up on it too look and bark..
The gate is solid, hasnt budged, and she is a big rottweiler so definitely fit for purpose

Could be better with simple fixes
Having just installed two of these I felt some simple changes could make this product so much easier.
1. Better rawl plugs: the ones provided have a very large lip on them which means drilling 2mm with a larger bit to get them absolutely flush with the wall (which is very important for the gates design
2. Make the holes on the non hinge pieces small slots to allow for very minor adjustments. Just 1mm off can stop the gate functioning smoothly and it’s difficult to be that precise when drilling holes in walls and using rawlplugs
3. Make the lower clip slot larger, this doesn’t need to be as tight as it is, and with the aforementioned precision issues and lack of adjustment this also stops the gate functioning smoothly
Other notes
The clip at the top is very stiff to start with, I’m hoping this eases up after it’s been broken in
The holes in the two gate pieces weren’t perfectly aligned so the top wasn’t flush. Doesn’t really bother me but worth noting
I do like the product but for now I have had to resort to taking the bottom clip off as I just couldn’t get the gate functioning smoothly on either of the ones I installed. This makes it slightly less safe, but not an issue in my circumstance
Watch out for the fitting strips
On the fitting strips, pieces of paper to mark the drill holes, you MUST fold the bottom of the paper up to floor line marked on the paper first. One would think common sense would say but the bottom of the paper to the floor..but no!

Missed fixing parts
Was missed some parts. Not sure how i can get them as i already fitted (half fitted ) to the place.
Nice looking stair gate, recommend buying
Having read mixed reviews on here about this product we took a gamble and bought one. Luckily it paid off and we have a great little stair gate which was easy to install and looks smart in our little girl’s bedroom doorway. Soft clicking noise when secured/closed which does not wake her at night time. Can’t complain at all!

Comprato come warehouse, arrivato perfetto. Con un po’ di inventiva e manualit l’ho installato su una scala dove da una parte c’ il muro e dall’altra un corrimano in vetro.
La ringhiera abbastanza robusta e dopo un po’ di esperienza si riesce ad ore anche con una sola mano. Da consigliare rispetto a quelli a pressione che si muovono sempre ed alla fine rovinano il muro.
Good stair gates
Look great, strong wood and good quality. A little difficult to install as when going on stairs you often have wall to banister and skirting boards to account. They do have a nice template to follow but ours is not quite right when stuck on the wall. (Skirting boards and carpets dont allow this to work accurately) would be good on flush hard floor.

Great idea as metal gates don’t always come in right sizes. Lovely finish, looks great on the stairs, no clunky bar at the bottom to trip over and if needed can be moved elsewhere and extended
Width Flexibility is perfec
I purchased 2 of these gates, the first has gone up a treat, though I had to redrill 2 holes because they seemed out of alignment from the template.
The lock on the 2nd gate is not springing back, so I am installing and is useable, but not secure, hopefully the seller can send me a replacement part to address the issue on the 2nd gate and I will update accordingly…

Facile a installer et pas de seuil c’est super pratique
Ho comprato due di questi cancelletti per creare delle zone di separazione quando ho bisogno di dividere i cani, o di “parcheggiarli” in un’area tranquilla. Ho scelto questi perch si avvitano al muro e avendo due cani grossi (boxer) non mi fidavo di quelli a pressione. Sono arrivati in anticipo rispetto alla data prevista. Per ora sono soddisfatta, nonostante l’agitazione dei miei vitellini sembra che facciano il loro lavoro. Noi abbiamo sostituito i tasselli inclusi perch per abitudine mio marito preferisce usare i Fischer tradizionali. Bisogna solo fare attenzione quando si chiude il cancelletto e controllare che anche la vite sotto entri nel suo alloggio. Quando si apre non occupa spazio, si appoggia alla parete. Sono cancellini leggeri ma costruiti bene, sembrano abbastanza robusti. Anche esteticamente non disturbano in casa. Per ora, soddisfatta.

Bought to keep pups from running riot upstairs during the day. Nice looking gate seems sturdy enough with no trip hazards of a floor bar. Very pleased with it so far!

The gate lasted well but the clips and bits that come with are not the strongest by any means .still a good gate that did the job and looks better then the ugly metal ones on the market .

Recommended, but suggest fixing only to wood
Nice gate, useful for the top of the stairs where you don’t want the trip hazard of a bar at the bottom.
Fitted a 1metre wide space well. Looks nice and fits the white wooden decor of our stair handrail well.
My only complaint is that I didn’t feel safe fitting one side to plasterboard, so had to place a wooden baton against the wall first. It’s minor, and I’m sure the same applies to many other stairgates, but nonetheless.
Brilliant gate, no bar at the bottom to trip on, I’ve got it at the bottom of the stair to keep the visiting cats and puppies from going upstairs, I’m usually suspicious of everything I am buying, but this gate is brilliant glad I bought it.

This gate is brilliant, yes its harder to install than the pressure fit items but once its installed it excels in every way. Its feels robust and very secure with both top and bottom locks engaged and looks much better (in our house) than the previous pressure fit gate we had before.
Fitting is relatively easy however I found the fitting dimensions given in the fitting instruction were slightly out. I was fitting between two wooden posts at the top of our stairs so not a problem to change location and still be hidden by the hinge. I found that by only fitting the top screw (each hinge requires two screws) I could trial fit the gate and check alignment, then you can measure how out the screw locations were and change with the other screw if required.
All sounds very technical but its not that hard, if you aren’t handy with a screwdriver it might be worth getting a local carpenter to quote for fitting. Screw fit gates are so superior to the pressure fit gates, if its in your house I wouldn’t hesitate, for occasional (grandparent etc) use maybe pressure fit is ok.
I’m going to buy a second gate for the bottom of the stairs but that will require screwing into the wall on one side, what I might do now is attach a batten of wood to the wall first then screw the hinges to the batten so I have scope to reposition if required.

Look great and feel very secure.
I bought 2 of these gates because my staircase is too narrow for standard baby gates and I am really pleased with that I went for these. They look much nicer than standard gates and feel much more secure than pressure gates because they are screwed in. I put them up on my own which wasn’t too difficult but did take me a while to get them completely right. Would highly recommend them.

We have a bannister that does not do well with the spring loaded gates so got this one and it was so easy to assemble and put up, all you need is a drill really!
It is incredible strong and sturdy and the mechanism is more fiddly for a toddler to learn than the spring loaded ones… my 12 month old has already grasped the other ones in the house, I don’t think my 3yr old nephew would have the ability to open this one…. but if is easy for an adult with one hand!
Only small con is the bolts that clip into the mechanism can be length adjusted (easily) but can also easily come a bit loose and need tightening back up every so often. Not a big deal for me at all, but need to watch it so they do clip into place properly.

MI serviva un cancelletto da mettere alla fine della rampa superiore, che una volta aperto, non avesse nessuna parte fissa a livello pavimento che potesse causare inciampo quando si ha il bambino in braccio e si scendono le scale. Ho dovuto costruire 2 spalle laterali in legno in quanto da una parte ho la ringhiera e dall’altra non ho voluto forare il battiscopa in marmo con il tassello di fissaggio basso. Il cancello bello esteticamente e sembra robusto, unica pecca i cardini e il sistema di aggancio in plastica che non sembrano solidissimi

exactly as described. easy to install. looks great and is sturdy. I bought them mainly for the adjustable width which works very well. They do require permanent wall / door way fixings so if you’re not keen on drilling or making holes you may want to give these a miss. That said, it takes 4 small screws on each side. very happy with them.

exactly as described. easy to install. looks great and is sturdy. I bought them mainly for the adjustable width which works very well. They do require permanent wall / door way fixings so if you’re not keen on drilling or making holes you may want to give these a miss. That said, it takes 4 small screws on each side. very happy with them.
Arrived promptly and as expected. It is quite well made and not bad value for the price.
TIP 1: If you are planning to fit this at the top of the stairs and the stair posts are of the type which has a flat section top & bottom with a round section in between, then you will have to get an adapter for the round section. It can be fitted higher so that it is affixed to the flat surfaces but be aware that there will then be a gap large enough for a small crawler to squeeze under.
TIP 2: The enclosed instructions are very good and precise so measuring the exact required amount is a little tricky if measuring on a carpeted or non level floor. However, with a bit of careful thought and planning it is easy to do. I held the gate up to the desired position and made a mark for the bottom cup on the side opposite the hinge. I then fixed the cup to the post and fitted the other cups in relation to that.

Arrived with all the bits…easy to put together, can’t understand other negative reviews, as for not having screws for fitting, find that petty, screwed mine into a door frame…used wood screws..what if I was attaching to a wall!!! would the supplier have to put rawlings plugs amongst fitting. Overall a good looking, sturdy gate
