A great budget battery security camera
Installation was simple and quick. Charging them initially was also pretty quick. You need to go into the app and configure zones, what it detects, and detection sensitivity. After doing all of this, I figure that my battery with its current discharge rate should last 26 days give or take. This is pretty decent.
Hi would it be possible to get another copy of the instructions please as I have misplaced the last one and not sure how to connect 2 cameras.I would be so greatful if this is possible. Regards Alastair.

Image quality great, both night and day. Motion sensor spot on. Not tried the advanced detection features but plan to – to recognise people only. Ordered a second camera for back of the house.
It's very good but found it difficult to find app
I had a difficult time finding the app it links to but I managed to get it working once I found it and it has been very good ever since. I feel more secure in my home knowing that it’s there. I bought two so I could swap them when the batteries needed recharging. Great value!

Great little cameras
Had these for a few months now. They do a great job. The free 7 day cloud storage is the main reason I chose these. They function very well and picture quality is good.
Regarding battery life, the main thing to remember is the battery gets drained while filming and hardly at all when on standby waiting for motion. They last well over a month with 6-7 filming events per day. With less motion than this I am sure the battery could last several months. If you position them where there is a lot of motion (eg during daytime) you can program the cameras to sleep and therefore conserve battery.

Ok so this item was bought for an unusual application ….night fishing for carp
So on some of the waters I fish alone and at night and there has been prowlers sneaking about at the early hrs of the mornings looking at what can be stolen .
I had looked at the bivvy alarms and they were over priced and cheap made so I looked fir an alternative.
So this camera links to your phone or android tablet etc and for home use it uses the home WiFi for my needs I had to create a hotspot on my mobile and link the tablet to that then use the tablet to run the camera .
The result was better than I expected it not only sounds an alarm on detection it switches on a light and gives true night vision into the woods behind me .
This noise clears off the thief and allows you to see exactly who and what’s about .
The battery has run from a full charge and used about 3% in 2 days and nights of running
It convenient to use as it has a fixture for a camera tripod on the camera body so I can set up and let it run .
It’s also brilliant for watching my gear and swim should I need to nip away from it .
For the purpose I need it its spot on for home use its even better as the need for a separate tablet is gone and it runs on my home WiFi.
I have used ut to keep an eye on my property and even placed it in the house watching what the dog was upto when I went out .
Don’t be put off from the bad reviews the camera is bang on and works well and had multiple uses .
The settings have a raft of setting from high detection to low detection and you can turn off and on the sounder alarm as well as the white light it can be set In a whole manner of ways from blatant I’m watching you to a more covert set up for this money you can’t go wrong

Night vision is great with the white light but as it’s at the front of my house I do not have this on as it would light up the whole neighbour good.great quality pictures. Put it somewhere that’s easy to retrieve to charge upcharge lasts about 3 weeks.

I was looking for an in-van security system that was battery powered, portable, motion sensitive and didn’t require a smart hub to make it work. I spent absolutely ages looking for a product to tick all these boxes and found most either needed to be wired in or connected to Google Hub or Alexa. I was so happy to find this product and it was extremely easy to set up. We have been travelling full time in our van for 3 months now and this camera has given me total peace of mind. I can check in on our van to ensure no one has tried robbing us with the handy app. The motion sensor is extremely sensitive and whenever we’ve tested it it has never let us down. I’d recommend this to anyone who is looking for a security system, especially vanlifers who are concerned about security when away from their van.

Feels very well put together, and has been in use now for well over a month with no issues. Battery lasts well, and the app allows very good control over motion detection, times of activity etc, and gives quick notification if motion detected. Detection is quick and accurate and the floodlight is bright and obvious. Audio works well too. I think this is very good value indeed, and would recommend – particularly if you don’t want to pay for a subscription service.

This camera is excellent for all of the above reasons…but it also has an alarm built in that sounds once a person comes into the zone. At a front door or back door its an excellent deterrent. It also picks up if it’s a pet person or car!!

Highly recommended, certainly better than expected for the price, motion sensor very good, play back good, battery life exceeded expectations, I charge every 7 to 10 days, all functions work, alarm, mic, night vision clearly identifies things as small as mice. I have one overlooking the fowl pens at night, ideal for spotting predators.
Excellent camera
Excellent camera. Easy to set up and the battery lasts about 3 months before it needs a charge. Would buyore of these at about 40, but 49.99 is a little expensive. I also like that you don’t need to have a subscription with this unless you want to hold data on the server long term. It’s the reason I chose this camera over the others in the first place, and now I am glad I did.

This G-Homa wireless smart camera is a very handy and easy to use camera. It is currently priced at 49.99 which makes it quite affordable and good value for money. It looks and feels well-made and the performance is great as well.
The setup is easy and intuitive. You’ll need to configure the camera through an app called ‘VicoHome’. I had no issues with this and the app is good in general.
Picture quality is really good, honestly better than expected, and even in the dark it works really well. It comes with a bunch of features such as motion detection, speaker that can be controlled from a distance, alarm which all make it a very useful system.
The camera comes with a bracket and bolts and is easy to install. The fact that it’s wireless allows you to put the camera basically wherever you like which is a big plus. The downside is that it needs regular recharging and the battery life is not fantastic. If you’d like to hang this camera somewhere where it’s difficult to reach this is not ideal.
One important thing to take into consideration is that you are trusting an unknown company with all of your security footage. You also need to give the app a lot of permissions over your phone.

This security camera is Fab! Everything you need to make sure your house is safe. If you can’t afford a Ring Door bell or your phone is not compatabile for Ring (like mine was) this is a better option. The picture quality is good, speaker is clear, video play backs and night vision is very good, the best bit is the alarm and flashing light alarm, all controlled by your phone and can be set so you don’t have to keep turning on and off. Didn’t take long to set up and you can easily share camera with family.Brilliant product. Highly recomemded.
Peace of mind
A really reasonable security camera. Clear picture and sound quality. Good functions and no silly monthly payments. Very happy with our purchase and it’s given me some peace of mind after someone left something my shoe rack whilst my husband was in the garage and hadn’t locked the door. Totally freaked me out that someone had been in the house and the camera makes me feel more safe.

Great video camera - well featured, easily setup and installed and good image quality
This camera is designed for outdoors, containing its own rechargeable battery. Instead of having to connect wires, all you have to do is charge the battery, fix the camera to its location, turn it on, download the app and configure. I would recommend configuring the camera before attaching it first. Once it is attached, you can leave it in place, without wires, until the battery needs charged. The internal battery has a good capacity of 5000 mAh.
The camera is quite compact considering the aperture of the lenses and it has a shiny, rounded design in a bright white. The included attachments are easily fixed and of good quality.
Setup of the camera was quick and intuitive using the Vicohome app. Even when the camera hadn’t been used for a while, after powering it on, it came to life very quickly. Firmware updates to the camera are installed using this app, too. Video displayed through the app on my iPhone was crystal clear and the camera also produced great video in the dark, using it’s Infrared mode.
The included motion sensor works. Alerts are sent to the app (when enabled) and even to an Apple Watch including a photo when movement is detected. Accordingly, this is great device for keeping a lookout on your property.
This camera is ideal for watching out for these naughty couriers dumping packages at the door without knocking or ringing the bell! Another application is for sensing when your pet moves around.
The camera also provides the ability to save to a micro-SD/TF card but it will also save video to your iPhone too. Like many camera vendors, the app provides an option to subscribe to a video storage plan, but I never bother with these.
The only drawback with this camera, and it’s the same with most cameras, is that you will get a lot of reflection if you place it too close to glass. I would have liked to have used this camera at the window inside, but unfortunately it was no use for that.
This camera is easily set up and monitored. Importantly it produces good quality video and stills and the Vicohome app enables you to easily view videos. The motion detector is certainly useful and the low-light images are excellent. As this camera provides security without wires and performs well, I can recommend it.

Great to get the notifications when someone approaches, and being able to see who they are.
Brought another one for the back garden so I can see the foxes.
One thing that people forget, is that this is battery powered so if there’s a power cut it still records.
Also added a solar panel charger, and it works wonderfully.
Great camera but laggy..
Absolutely fabulous camera with excellent features and good app, easy to set up too.. but… The motion capture takes too long to trigger, I have it at the back near my cat flap to see unwanted strays and foxes approaching but it has yet to record either of my cats using the flap until they are about 2 meters past the camera.. But this is still better than my Hive camera at the front and am thinking of swapping to this.
HA… i give it a good review and now it has failed to record ANYTHING from the last 13 hours, i even put food out for the foxes to capture them and nothing, hasn’t even recorded me bringing the camera indoors , recharging it, resetting it and repositioning it…

Deteccin de movimiento funciona muy bien y te manda los vdeos a la app vicohome. Puedes regular la duracin mxima del vdeo en 10 segundos, 20 segundos o 3 minutos. Actualmente estoy con la versin gratuita de la nube que ofrece durante 30 das de prueba. Me la compr hace 4 das y solo la activo cuando detecta personas por temor a entrada de ocupas y funciona perfectamente hasta la fecha. En estos 4 das la batera ha consumido solo un 12% por lo que en teora debe aguantar 1 mes sin recargar. Espero que mi opinin no cambie con el tiempo. Hasta ahora bastante satisfecho.

A good basic job but for full use need additional subscriptio
This is a neat little camera which comes with straightforward instructions in the enclosed booklet. As seems usual with things like this the print was incredibly small. Alongside this a charging cable, connection arm and fixings are included.
Using the QR code in the booklet quickly accessed the App. It’s clear that to access the full range of possibilities with this security camera involve levels of subscription payment. However the camera can still be used without subscribing.
I had no problems with the instructions guidance in getting it set up and activating it starting. Before mounting it outside I did a ‘test’ indoors and was impressed with the image and sound. The app indicates wi fi strength, status and location. It also tells how much battery you have left.
It is great that there are no wires and although you have to disconnect to recharge this can be overcome with the additional purchase and use of a small solar panel.
I was surprised to receive an email (given as part of set up) to ‘thank for joining’ with a way to contact them if there are any questions.
For the price I find it does a good basic job with more options if I want to pay for them.

Good little camera but….
This is a good little camera. Easy to install and setup. Detection good and notifications take about 10 secs to appear. Only issue is that the swivel mounting comes loose very easily if the camera is positioned upside down (i.e camera is below mounting) so far I’ve had to tighten it up every morning. Considering returning item.

They send good fast notifications to my phone and also the strobe is a fantastic feature as it lets people know the cameras have spotted them! Nice and easy to install .came with installation n charging equipment.motion detection works fine ,gives notifications as well ,day n night vision works perfectly fine in my case.as I ordered in winter soo can say works perfectly fine in winter not to worry ,delivered promptly.looking for some smart device to keep an eye on my car and back garden it resolved my issue . Seriously easy to set up and install. Ideally you need a good WiFi signal but one of my camera locations only gets a weak signal, yet it seems to be working fine. I like that I can watch up to 4 cameras at the same time ‘live’ on my phone from my desk at work. I can turn on a mini built in spot light too, or switch on an alarm. I like that there are zero wires needed. Zero! Batteries seem to last well even after I’ve messed around with the cameras all day long. Once the novelty wares off I’ll look at them less, then the rechargeable batteries will last for weeks I’m sure. Just a note for you, after setting up each of them identically, they seem to record even when nothing is there. They do this in 5 second bursts or for upto 3 minutes randomly, then send you notifications which can wake you up at night for nothing. I’ve decided to silence my phone and only check footage from now on if I think my property has been disturbed. In all, very much worth every penny. Great quality footage even in pitch black areas at night. Decent for the price.
UPDATE: The batteries are doing well on all 5 cameras. They’ve only lost between 3% and 12% in a full week. I predict I’ll need to recharge my busiest camera once a month. Might prove to be more in the coming winter months when it gets cold, let’s see. Also, I contacted the seller for some advice over an issue. Apparently, the reason why each camera records nothing just randomly is due to temperature changes outside or trees blowing in the wind. Seller suggested I should change the sensitivity from high to low, this did help a bit, I get less false notifications now. Finally, setting the length of recordings does not work. I want my cameras to record from detection of movement to end of movement, to a maximum of 3 minutes. Each camera just does what it likes most of the time. They often stop recording even when someone is still in the area, but at least I now see who it is clearly. Am I still happy with my purchases? Absolutely!

For the price I wasn’t really expecting much to be honest. I was wrong, the picture is nice and clear and set up is relatively straightforward aswell. Just to know that I have a camera at my front door I do feel a touch safer. So easy to install. Granted I do have to get the ladder out to take it down to charge it. It really does hold it charge. I love that I can look at my phone to see who is out. Also you can watch live your front door if your waiting for a delivery and someone coming over. I had work being done on my house, while at work I could see what time the plumber arrived and left. I can also see when my amazon order is arriving and if Im not in I can tell the delivery driver to put my package in a safe place. For the price Im happy. It may not be a Ring but it does the same job (with out the door bell)

This product has been a major asset to me and my family. It had been a great help for us to be able to survey our poperty. Its price is amazingly affordable for such a high quality product. Also it’s accessibility has allowed me to check the cameras from work via an app making it extremely useful. The camera has also allowed me to check up on my children when I’m at work to ensure their safety. Finally this product has allowed me to defend assets on my property from being damaged or if they are I know who the perpetrators are.

Top Quailty Wifi Camera!! Easy To Use!! Possibly replacing my full CCTV system for these!
We ordered this as we wanted a camera for inside our home, just so we could keep an eye on our dogs whilst we was out and about and for added security.
Upon unpacking this camera we was like… Wow.. It is amazing top quailty and has such a good well build to the whole thing!
Everything we needed was all supplied within the box of contents, only thing we required was a usb plug but they are ten a penny to buy anyway so no biggy.
The instructions was straight forward and easy to follow and within no more than 10 minutes we had the camera fixed on the wall and working!
The app is super easy to navigate around and easy enough to go into the settings and have a play around to see what things do and to save your preferences.
The base of the camera that fixes to your wall is easy to fit and attaching the camera to the mount is no problem either, moving the camera easily and getting it in that perfect spot is also super easy to do.
The camera image quality is extremely good and you can make out things very clearly and the night vision is fantastic, the best we have seen to be honest.
You are able to set off an alarm to discourage any intruders should they appear unwanted on your camera and you also have the option of talking and hearing 2 way from the device too, making it even a great thing to have just to monitor your children asleep and safe.
The only thing that I would change is the power cable, it just is not long enough for what we required, although it is not a big deal as you can buy longer usb cables, as long as you need them it would just have been abit more ideal that bit longer.
It has even made me wonder whether to replace our 5 camera CCTV system that we have currently to all these cameras on the one network?? I’m certainly close with every use of this camera to making my mind to take the plunge and replace them to these, so bit more experimenting maybe and I shall certainly see and update if i do!
Finally there is so much this camera has to offer, alot more than I can keep you here reading my review but it is truly a game changer.

This camera was delivered quickly and in good quality packaging. It is easy to set up and install as well since it is wireless. The display on it is really high quality and super HD. There is two-way audio and the sound on that is really good quality, you can speak into your phone and it will come out of the camera, and someone can speak and you will be able to hear it as well.
You receive motion detection notifications, but if you want to you can turn them off. It is waterproof so can be sued outside which is great too. For the price, I highly recommend it.
Ambitious camera, but app is a let down.
As far as hardware is concerned, this is a solid, waterproof and fairly decent unit overall, it will withstand the great British weather without any problems.
The battery is (Or should be) sufficient if the camera is installed in a low traffic area (The more movement detected, the more battery it will use), I personally got a 5 m cable to keep it permanently charged so I won’t have to uninstall it and charge it every few days/weeks.
The image quality is adequate, but it struggles sometimes to show fine details.
WiFi connection is excellent, I tried to walk away from the router to test it and it maintained connection through thick brick walls for a fairly good distance, but please test before installing.
Motion detection is, like many other brands, a hit and miss. It is going to do the job however so can’t complain about it, specially given the price point of view.
Night vision is impressive for the price, specially if you’re covering a small area.
There is a Micro SD card slot, and it does record movement to the card, and if you set the Duration to ‘Auto’, it will record movement in full (1 minute 20 seconds was the longest recording I got, 5 seconds seem to be the standard if no significant movement detected).
There is no 24/7 recording option however, battery saving measure I’m sure, but as I have it permanently plugged in, I would’ve appreciated the option to record 24/7 to the memory card.
Audio quality is average, better than cheaper alternatives, and the ‘White Light’ and siren options can be useful, depending on the environment.
The app is a bit amateur and can do with some updating to speed the connection up as it can take forever to start streaming sometimes, despite being connected to the same router.
Overall: Just under 50 with %10 voucher at the time of reviewing, this is an excellent option for motion detection/door camera option and it will do the job, just not perfectly.
Fantastic security camera and great value
This is a great camera, very easy to set up, has good quality images, and doesn’t require any cabling.
I used to own a Moobox camera which is also great but has a couple of drawbacks compared to this one – the Moobox needs a separate hub box that’s plugged into your router, and also doesn’t record sound. This one however is a self-contained unit and also records audio. Battery lasts a long time, depending on how much it records – you should only need to record every few weeks.

This truly wireless security camera does the job I expected it to do very well.
The important thing for me was not to have required any cables, including the power. The battery seems to hold well so far, but only time will tell how long it will last in my setting, especially in the winter, when it is cold and damp.
I have installed at the back of our garden under the eave of the wooden building we have there, so it is quite protected from the direct rain.
I am considering adding the solar power source if the battery life will be less than expected.
The set up was easy and quick, this is not the first security camera in our house and I went through the similar process a few times before.
I agree with another reviewer about the app permissions, they make me feel uncomfortable and definitely need reviewing and more information in some cases.
The quality of the video, including at night, and the overall experience when using the camera is very good, comparable to my other full HD cameras. The wireless connection is surprisingly stable, considering the distance from the router, luckily there are no thick walls in the way, just a patio door.
Overall this is a good quality camera and well designed app, hope the permission settings will be updated and/or more information provided.

I got this to see how it stacks up against a couple of the more “premium” brands cameras that I have already got at home. Obviously a big portion of your interaction is done via the App so again, would this be as good as the big players?
BUILD QUALITY
The camera feels well made and though the white plastic used may not be the most premium, the whole package feels like it would stand up to the elements well enough.
SET UP
Set up was easy. You will need to download the VicoHome app and set up an account with them (I’m using Android and had no problems… initially). The camera arrived with about 75% battery, more than enough for set up and an automatic firmware update. Set up was going well until I got to the the bit where it said to scan this QR code and showed an image of a QR code on my phone’s screen…but I was in the app so couldn’t scan it with my phone! Then I realised I needed to scan it with the security camera! It must have been a caffeine-light day for me as once I’d realised my error it all worked flawlessly after that, and after the firmware update, I was ready to install on the wall.
The mount is only ok. I found I just couldn’t get a super tight screw connection with the camera and the mount and there was always some threading left on show. The mount doesn’t feel the most robust of plastics but after drilling and placing it, so far it has been good and stable.
THE APP
The app is actually pretty good and once you have got used to the layout I found it easy to disable notifications, view recorded footage and adjust the settings.
If you want the funky elements though you need to pay for a monthly subscription package. The free version just alerts to any motion and stores upto 1GB of recordings over 30 days. There are then three further subscription levels, (at different costs see below), that give you either upto 3GB (“Basic”), upto 5GB (“Plus”), or upto 10GB (“Pro” Plan) of recordings as well as unlocking Intelligent Notifications and the ability to set up Activity zones.

BATTERY
Battery life is really very good. To give you an idea, mine had 100% when I installed it and after 7 days and a total of 232 video recordings/notifications during that time, my camera had used 7% battery and was down to 93% left.
RECORDING REACTIONS
I found that the speed it records when it notices motion is maybe a tad slow but it all depends upon the camera position and movement in that field of view. If someone walks across mine, it tends to start recording a little late. It still captures them, but sometimes only for a second or two. Far more successful is if someone walks up to it, in which case the camera has more time and captures them clearly.
It then pings a notification quickly to your phone where you can view the footage or go to the live view. This all obviously will depend upon your positioning.
RECORDING QUALITY
Again no issues here. It records in HD and is perfectly acceptable. You can also set how long you want the recordings to be upto a maximum of 20 seconds per incident/clip.
CONCLUSIONS
Give the obvious cost differences between this and the major brands, I feel I can accept some small compromises. Yes the build quality isn’t as premium as others but the app is actually user friendly and the fact there is a completely free recording option is fantastic and it’s great for what I need it for.
So impressed with this G-Homa security camera that I’m probably going to end up buying a handful more. Works entirely as a standalone unit connecting to your home wi-fi, unlike say Blink cameras that require a base station. It has a rechargeable battery but I’ve also picked up a solar panel which is doing a great job at keeping the battery at 100% – Amazon listing is : https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B088SR2C4D/
The camera itself looks and feels like a quality unit, the picture is really clear and definitely true 1080p instead of 720 upscaled as you see on a lot of cheaper units, night vision also very good and I like the two-way audio so you can talk to delivery drivers (or shout at burglars!) if you’re away from home.
The app is really good and feels very polished compared to a lot of other security cams I’ve tried, even from better-known brands. The camera will detect people, vehicles, pets and even packages if positioned correctly – you get a little notification pop up to tell you what it’s detected and the option to view the video. The video it streams to you is fine but if you need the full quality version, simply click to download the clip and you’ll get it in true high res. You get a small amount of cloud storage included but can pay a small amount to unlock more storage as well as the ability to set custom notification zones, to cut back on false alarms if needed.

This security camera is perfect for keeping a close eye on my home when I’m not at home and has many great features.

This is a great quality wifi camera easy to use easy to set up great hd quality
This security camera fulfils two requirements I have for this kind of device. 1. It’s WiFi connected so needs no network cable. 2. It’s rechargeable, so needs no power cable.
This means that it can be fixed anywhere within range of a WiFi router without needing an electrician to fit it.
As a test of its capabilities I’ve attached my sample to some wooden trellis in the garden where it can keep an eye on the comings and goings of cats, foxes and birds.
The motion detection function is very sensitive to animals as small as cats and as large as me. Recordings can be tailored to be as short as 5seconds or as long as 20s, or customised length.
The videos are very clear and can be recorded in SD or HD. At night a light can be set to come on automatically whilst filming, or an infra-red image taken.
The images and their history can all be viewed via the app on my phone. If wanted I can set all motion detections to be alerted to my phone – but this can be annoying if there’s a lot going on. Past videos can be viewed by date and time.
Setup of the app on my Android phone was fairly straightforward, with all the usual permissions to be ticked. The app is uncomplicated and easy to use, although some services can only be accessed by paid subscription, which I didn’t try.
The camera itself is a thing of beauty, egg-shaped in shiny white plastic, with full waterproofing. Under a rubber bung there’s:
1. a power socket that takes a standard USB micro-A plug from a phone-type charger.
2. a slot for a Micro-SD memory card for video recordings.
3. an on/off button
4. a reset hole
The camera is attached to its mount via a standard tripod-type screw. To recharge the camera I have to unscrew this to take it to the charger.
This is a very convenient security camera with its wireless installation. The pictures and videos it produces are clear and easy to access. I recommend it.
So easy to set up
I was really surprised how easy this was to set up.
You download the app and just follow the on screen instructions. It’s as simple as 1.2.3
The camera takes a micro sd card (you must buy this separately).
The camera starts recording as soon as it detects movement and you can have notifications send to your phone when this happens also has night vision and easy to see led lights.
Also has audio which is very helpful, you can speak to anyone through it.
So easy to instal on your house, drill a few holes and some screws and your sorted.
Just remember you do have to take it down to charge the camera when the battery gets low (the app lets you know when it’s low).
Very impressed and you can actually sync more cameras to the one app if you need more around your house.
Great value with lots of features and easy to set up
The G-Homa wireless security is easy to install and includes all mounting screws. It also has a large 10,000mAh rechargeable battery so it doesn’t need to be plugged in and can be mounted anywhere as long as it is within Wi-Fi signal range.
It inly takes a few minutes to set up and view the camera stream on your phone with the app but once you’ve done so, you’ll be able to use the device from any location. The camera has an IP65 rating, is tough and durable, and comes with everything you need to mount it. It has pretty good features PIR Motion Detection that will alert your phone and two way audio to communicate. The night vision is decent too and for this price it’s well worth the value and I ended up buying another one for the side of the house.
For privacy I store the footage offline on sd card as I don’t really trust where the videos are uploaded to in the cloud.
This is a great piece of affordable security tech, with an intelligent good quality camera and heat sensor that can detect intruders as well as simply monitoring whatever the camera sees. It streams live to your phone and records, and has a scary American voice that tells you what it’s doing, and also a two-way voice communication system that enables you to scare off burglars or have a chat with them.
The set-up process was very easy, and succeeded first time, but I was required to grant permissions to the app that I found intrusive and highly dubious. The app – naturally – wanted me to grant blanket permissions to access all areas of my phone and perform unspecified activities, and when I manually went through each item it required, allowing or denying each one in turn, it was clear that the app wants far more access to my files and media than it needs to carry out its functions. Some of the permissions allowed for “only when app is in use” which is a little reassuring, but some (like access to and control of files) were worryingly non-specific and seem to be open to the app at all times, regardless of whether or not it is in use. I HATE THIS! And the app will NOT open unless ALL permissions are granted. So it seems they want to spy on me, read all my documents and files, view my photos and videos, and listen to whatever my mic can pick up, and call all my friends and family. Not sure why my home security camera needs to be able to do all that!
But for purposes of testing I allowed the permissions and, after a brief firmware update, was given access to the camera and could watch in real-time on my phone as the traffic passed my house. The image was clear, the lens angle was wide, the streaming was smooth and without interruption.
I like this camera a lot. It’s just a real shame that I don’t trust the company that I’m supposed to be trusting with my home security. They want way too much access for me to feel confident in their motives. But only time will tell…
This security camera is fantastic, very easy to set up. You download the app on your mobile and scan the QR code and you are ready to go, you can add other people’s phone to the camera too.
The picture is so clear. You can watch live from your phone, or whenever the camera detects motion it will film for 10 seconds and then repeat another 10 seconds and this will continue for as long as there is motion. These clips will be stored in the App Library for you to play back and will send you a notification each time the camera detects motion.
The battery life is very good. When you first use it, You charge it using the supplied usb charger for 10 hours. I’ve had it on continuously since then for 3 days and still the battery has full power.
It looks smart and discreet, it’s easy to screw to the wall.
You can speak through the camera using the app so is handy if you have someone for example standing at your door but you are not home so you could speak to them from the camera to tell them your not home.
The app has an alarm so if there is someone near the camera that is a threat whilst you are watching in live mode, you can press alarm via the app and the camera will let off a loud alarm which will hopefully scare them away
Also you can put a bright light on from the camera you just press the button via the app whilst watching in live mode.
I definitely recommend and the price is reasonable
This was easy to set up simply download the app then link the camera, app, and my home network and that’s that, battery life they claim is 180 days which if true is a level above the usual 60 days of my last camera, image quality is great and it’s been fine even in the torrential rains we’ve had recently, all in all, a great truly wireless security camera.

Got this for my partner’s elderly grandparents for their front door, for extra peace of mind and security. Easy to set up and install. It is positioned under their porch but the camera is waterproof, definitely a must for our weather! My partner’s dad has the app on his phone so he gets alerts, especiaslly good for at nighttime or when his parents are away on holiday etc to keep an eye on their property, as he lives a bit of a distance from them. Day and Nighttime images are clear, and the speak function is also good for speaking to delivery drivers/nuisance callers. I will update my review in a few weeks when it has been more thoroughly tested, but so far it is very good for the price, they’re very happy with it.
