    This is the second of these routers I’ve had. They are incredibly good and powerful for the price.

    Excellent was used to make bespoke kitchen units. Did the job.

    I wasn’t expecting perfection but it is actually pretty good and plenty accurate enough for kitchen worktop corner joints (which need to be pretty accurate). I was a little concerned about movement in the guides but, once locked at depth they seem to settle in the same relative position each time so second cut aligns with the first etc.
    I found the depth gauge thingy and turret stops quite useful despite initially thinking I wouldn’t use them. The guide ring worked perfectly with a worktop jig and the dust extraction adaptor did it’s job very well (I wasn’t sure so tried one cut without extraction! sawdust everywhere!). I’m pleased with it and looking forward to using it again sometime

    For a jobbing router can’t fault it. It’s not as good as my hitatch but it does the job and means I don’t have to work my better machine to death. Well worth the money.

    Bought this router to replace one I bought a few years ago as my old one was 1/4″ collet and I needed to cut some kitchen worktops with 90 degree and 45 degree angles so needed a 1/2″ long series cutter and therefore needed a 1/2″ router. I had already bought a 900mm worktop jig as it was about as cheap to buy as it was to hire one and it was there for future. The same principle applied to the router, I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a top notch brand as it would only be used now and again. I read the reviews on the Silverline router and decided to buy one. I wasn’t disappointed, it cut the worktops perfectly and achieved superb joints. I would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting to do the same as I did – all I would say is take it easy with it and don’t try to cut too deeply in one cut. I followed the recommendations on the blurb that came with it and it was brilliant. Very pleased.

    This is essential for easy cutting and joining of kitchen worktops. Cheap, lightweight and easy to use

    Very accurate, serious tool in great quality. It was an absolute joy to use this in my DIY project. I never used a router before and even my teenage son could use it with supervision.

    … wasn’t straightforward. I made my own table but there are a few things to note: 1) The on/off switch doesn’t lock so you have to bind it with gaffer tape and switch it on or off at the mains. 2) The only way to adjust the plunge depth is via a plastic (and plasticky) gauge, that stops the router going further than a set distance. All well and good, but it makes setting the cut height tricky. I’ve made a foot pedal for the height adjustment, and that works fine, but I can only set accurately to about half a millimetre; am still to devise a way of making finer adjustments. This may not be a fair criticism as I don’t know how other routers manage this; they may be the same. The router itself seems adequate for my purposes, which are just as an amateur to make the occasional door or window. It looks a bit cheap but it is, and you get what you pay for. I expect that if it’s looked after and treated well it should last a fair amount of time. Clearly the manufacturer expects it to last as they include a set of replacement bushes, which is a nice touch.

    Absolutely fantastic router for the price. If you’re looking for a 1/2″ router to join kitchen worktops, then this will do the job. So much cheaper than other routers but for occasional use, this is perfect.

    Bought this router to cut three worktops and cutting out areas for the hob and sink when fitting my new kitchen. Great tool that is simple to use with accrate cuts. Very reasonable price for diy purposes.

    Great Value for someone that will only use it occasionally.

    Good for the cost. It’s not a heavy duty router and slow and steady makes a good joint when I used it on the kitchen worktops.

    Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFrancamente non credevo che con 77 euro avrei potuto avere una macchinetta non male; temevo alcuni problemi come annunciati da alcuni acquirenti; invece non ho rilevato alcun problema sulla guida ( ferma e precisa), sullo scorrimento verticale niente da dire (si blocca in maniera solida ne presenta incertezze nello scorrimento)
    Ha i suoi limiti costruttivi chiaramente: la precisione dello scorrimento non gestito dal pomello del manico ma da una leva di blocco e in quel caso la precisione della profondit di taglio diventa un problema; perch mentre lo blocchi si sposta in altezza;
    le barre della guida non garantisco la precisione millimetrica della distanza del taglio per cui mettere una guida di legno meglio ;
    tutti aspetti che giustificano una fresa da 1500 Watt; con velocit regolabile e avvio soft e una serie di accessori utili
    Ora : dopo aver pagato circa 80 euro non posso certo pretendere di lavorarci con frese da 12 mm e che lavori con precisione assoluta;
    mi accontento di usarla con frese da 8 mm un paio di volte la settimana, e se dovesse durare mi riterro soddisfatto
    p.s. poi c’ chi giustamente preferisce lavorare con fresatrici precise e pu permettersi di spendere dai 600 euro a salire e si toglie lo sfizio !
    Per il momento dopo l’uso fatto e i risultati ottentui ( inserimento di 6 binari t-track su multistrato da 25 con risultati pi che soddisfacenti ) mi sento di consigliarla.

    Excellent router, strong and easy to use.
    Silverline make excellent tools and are responsible in price, but do the job as good as a more expensive one.
    Used the router to cut worktops in kitchen refit, this they did without any problems.
    Would recommend this router if you need a 1/2″ one.

    Cette dfonceuse est parfaitement adapte pour mon usage, savoir travailler occasionnellement sur des planches de pin vendues chez Leroitintin et compagnie. Histoire d’arrondir les angles ou de creuser des lignes ou motifs. Mais j’essaierai aussi d’autres usages avec plaisir. Ce modle 1500 watts est bien suffisant et mme pourrait tre moiti moins puissant pour travailler ce type de bois.

    J’ai eu deux sueurs pour dmarrer, d’abord la prise qui n’est d’emble pas franaise et que si je n’avais pas devin qu’il fallait enlever une tiquette qui cachait une vis pour enlever l’adaptateur, j’aurais tout arrach.. ensuite ils ont btement install dj sous l’crou une tte ou buse ou je ne sais comment a s’appelle, le truc pour enfiler des fraises 😀 Et vu qu’il n’y a aucun mode d’emploi fourni si ce n’est quelques phrases simplistes de dmarrage, j’ai d sortir le petit tube avec une pince fine car il tait coinc et que les petits coups recommands ne suffisaient pas le dbloquer. Ouf je n’ai rien abm, mais quelle ide.. ensuite j’ai pu mettre la buse adapte aux fraises que j’avais achetes et zou c’tait prt.

    Dj je n’ai travaill qu’en vitesse 1 ou 2 car a suffit avec les planches de pin. Du coup pas besoin de casque pour le bruit, moins assourdissant qu’une scie sauteuse par exemple.

    L’appareil est plutt lger (1 ou 2 kg de moins que le modle 2050W) vu qu’il est port par la planche sur laquelle il agit. Il est maniable pour le diriger. Par contre le ressort pour grer la descente n’est pas trs fluide, mais on s’y fait. D’ailleurs je trouve plus simple de bloquer avec le levier en permanence plutt que de travailler avec la bute.

    Bref, trs content de cet appareil, a semble solide mme si c’est du chinois. Dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de coffret fourni ni de fraise mais ce prix l c’est logique vu la qualit de l’engin. Le truc top c’est le galet de guidage fixer sur la rgle, histoire de creuser en suivant une courbe. On peut le voir en action sur une vido du bricoleur Robert sur internet. Mais dommage que la rgle soit si large, a empche d’utiliser le galet sur des courbes trop troites.

    Voil je crois avoir fait le tour de l’appareil en soi. Ensuite ce sont les fraises qui font le job.

    Enfin, pas compris quoi servent les deux lments avec ressorts fournis.. ?

    Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis has worked well for fitting my kitchen worktops and has had no problem cutting lots of bolt slots, 90 degree joints, a hole for my hob and a round hole for my sink.
    The only dislikes are the depth gauge has slipped a couple of times and has no way to zero it. The up / down lock is awkward to use between cuts. You have to remove the bottom plastic plate and dust extractor to fit / remove a guide brush. All of these points were much better on the Bosch router but that didn’t take 1/2 inch cutters.
    However, it gets the job done.

    fr den Preis ist die Frse okey , man darf natrlich kein Hochleistungs-Profigert erwarten , habe die Frse in den ersten Wochen mit allen mglichen Frsern geqult, bis heute (2 Jahre ) luft sie noch.

    Surement pas de qualit germanique ou nippone mais pour le prix c’est la seule avec un mandrin de 1/2″ et 4 adaptateurs. Fonctionnement tout fait correct et rsultats corrects du moment que l’usage n’est pas intensif .

    Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersHabe das Gert angeschafft um es in einem Tisch mit Zoll – Schaftfrsern zu betreiben. Zoll-Schaftfrsern, Formfrser, sind erheblich gnstiger zu beschaffen und fr Hobbyzwecke im Tischbetrieb (mit dieser Frse nicht freihndig !!! ) gut verwendbar. Die Frse mit den 1/4 und 1/2 Zoll Spannzangen betreibe ich genau so und das funktioniert gut. Als Handgert wrde ich sie sehr vorsichtig (nur dafr geeignete kleine Frser einsetzen) verwenden. Alles in allem ein gutes Preis/Leistungsverhltnis.
