Very stone like
The appearance is very close to other natural pebbles in our garden so it doesn’t stand out as a key holder.
I had to adjust the plastic cover for the insert to make it more secure but we’re happy with it.

Better than previous ones of this type
Some previous ones did not have enough space inside to let me close the key inside. This one is roomier.
I prefer this one. But don’t put it all alone, it will look suspicious. Gather similar looking stones near it so it will not stand out. It is the best one I have bought and works well.

Looks legit like a rock!
Perfect, looks just like a rock. I’ve seen other “rock safes” which look like plastic or just really stick out as different. This one’s great. I had to enlarge the hole a bit to fit the house key in, but it was easy enough to do with a chisel. Really pleased with this item.

Good product and a great place to hide a spare key. It was a present for some friends and they are delighted with it, saying it was so realistic they couldn’t put it amongst their other pebbles as the might not be able to find it it they needed the spare key!
It's right for the job.
I wanted somewhere safe to leave my front door key and it’s ideal as it looks like an authentic rock. There is only room for a Yale key but that is what I wanted.

Only giving four stars as the cover were you put the key does not fit very well have had to put tape on it to stay in place but otherwise it looks ok cannot say if its weather proof yet !

Needed to dirty it up a bit as it stood out in the garden, but now can’t be seen at all. I don’t think it’ll stop the key from rusting, as it’s not water tight. But wrap the key up in plastic before placing in there and should be fine.

Great product, great price, great idea and ironically gives me peace of mind! You won’t be disappointed. Only 4 stars as the underneath is a bit flimsy and do check the size of your key as mine only just fitted.
Works well, key isn't kept completely dry though.
It looked a little strange when it comes out of the box, but ours has weathered well and can no longer be instantly picked out among all the other stones around it. The key isn’t kept completely dry, so be prepared to replace it from time to time as it will rust.

Bought as an emergency key safe. If it were to be integrated with other large pebbles I am sure it would be less obvious, I would not use it in the front garden unless it could be placed somewhere discreet. Done its job though!

Great! Although I would have preferred that the lid on the underside was watertight. However I wrapped the key in cling film, put it in a poly bag and put tape over the lid on the base. No-one will ever find it – maybe not even me! (only joking).
OK I guess – the plastic bit underneath was very loosely fitting so I wrapped rubber bands around it to make it fit more snugly into the ‘rock’. The ‘rock’ itself does indeed resemble a piece of smooth concrete, but I guess it will work well enough where I have placed it. I took advice from other reviewers and wrapped the key itself in clingwrap before putting it in the chamber. It would probably have been better to buy a key safe, for about twice the price.

This will hold a larger than normal Yale key, probably a couple. We use it in the garden with a plant draped over it. Looks the part. I covered the key in vaseline so it won’t be rusty on use.

I purchased this after having locked myself out of the house and having to walk 3 .5 miles in 4c in shirt sleeves.
Having taken a look at on arrival I’m not sure that I’d call this a Rock safe my wife and I live on the South coast and I would describe it more accurately as a pebble safe. For us this is fine as we have some pebbles from the beach in amongst some gravel in our front garden and this blends in perfectly when placed in amongst them.
The only issue is that its not really waterproof and has a rather loose fitting rear panel to retain the key I solved any potential problem here with a small self sealing plastic bag into which i placed the key ‘once the safe is pushed down into the gravel its indistinguishable from its natural companions
For the price an excellent buy it would be 5 stars but for the badly fitting back

It’s a rock, that you can hide keys under! I did write keys on it so I could distinguish from other rocks nearby.

This is great and just what I wanted. All the other stones were too small to fit a normal key in (they were for yale keys only). It looks very real especially after the addition of a bit of mud!

Does what it says, My garden is gravelled so was easy to place and hide it. However do think it could be a little less conspicuous – perhaps some green colour (to look like moss).

First class little key safe. The only problem I have with it is losing it in my garden that contains loads of similar looking rocks. Only joking, the space for the keys is a little snug.

It looks like a stone, feels like a stone and would fool even the most discerning. It not the newest idea, but it is a simple and very effective, it loses 1 star as the tray the key fits into seems a little small for the hole, so it can slip out when you pick it up.

Having just locked myself out I sent for this to store spare keys for any future emergency. The stone blends in with the rest of the cobbles I have got and fits two keys easily, though neither are large. Very pleased.

I really like this product. The only negative is that the space underneath where your place your keys is not very long and so if the keys are on a keyring, its a bit of a tight fit. Other than that it is a clever product that really does the trick.

So simple but so effective
I found that my main house key fitted nicely inside the rock although the insert was loose, and certainly not waterproof. I solved this by lining the rim with “Plumbers’ Mait” mastic which is like putty and then wrapping the key in a food bag and pushing the insert in tightly. Job done!

Great product, though do wish the key holder bit fitted snugly into the ‘stone’. means it has to sit on a flat surface, but still very useful, and means my grandson doesn’t have to climb through the window when he loses his key!

Had previously owned something similar which had a cork in it. This disintegrated and the key went rusty, so thought I would give this one a try. It is much smaller and would only fit a Yale type key in it which was fine for me. The plastic piece that covers the hole underneath is fairly loose to enable you to take it off so I just secured it with a piece of duct tape before putting it in the garden so it didn’t accidentally fall out.
I feel it is excellent value for money, looks like any normal stone and does just what it is designed for.

I’m really pleased with this because many of the stones that you hide keys in are too small for a mortice lock as well as a yale. In this one they fit perfectly.

I bought this item as a gift for an elderly person who had great difficulty opening the packaging. It has not been out in the elements yet, because of floods, snow and more floods. The recipient is concerned that the colour of the stone does not match the local more yellowy colour and will stand out. Hopefully, when it has some mud and algae on it, it will be less obvious. There is also the concern that during heavy rain it may float away if left on the ground and if it is placed above ground it will draw attention to itself. Whilst the item itself fulfills the brief of being a key safe, successful placement of it would seem to need some thought.
