Can I make my own bakes in the Cake Factory/use a recipe from the internet in Cake Factory?
Yes, there is a manual mode for those who wish to try making their own creations. Ensure that you adjust the quantities accordingly and that the moulds are not overfilled.
Can you mix & match the mould shapes in the framework?
We don’t advise that you mix and match the mould shapes. Each shape will cook slightly differently and require different timings. For perfectly baked cakes we recommend you use 6 of the same shape.
What is the temperature for each pre-sets settings?
Cake Factory Delice is equipped with the automatic temperature regulation technology. There isn’t a specific temperature for each program but the temperature will fluctuate during the cooking process. (i.e 5 min at 220°C then 200°C for 10min etc…)
Are the moulds and baking tray dishwasher safe?
The non-stick baking tray is dishwasher safe.
What creabake moulds are made of?
They are made of carbon steel (0.5mm) and they have a non-stick high-quality coating (Whitford Quantum 2).

Useful.
With my continued diet, I’ve only tried this out a couple of times, but the results have been very good, even with pre-packed cake mix. Blindingly simple to use and a real treat.
A kitchen accessory for kids
This is a such greatful kitchen tool for family typically like us we have 3 kids at home, so home make muffins and cakes make family cooking and health cooking easily also for healthy fresh breakfast as well. Great baking accessory and recipe ad app include the measurement of all stuffs and level indication let you know the level of the skill and recipes. Would recommend it.
Revolution in cake making
This is the peak in cake making. Just enough technology to make your life easier but not too much effort to not make it worth it. It is super easy to use and children will love helping you with making cakes with this. The extra trays and all the other things you can make as well as the cakes are amazing. This is by far one of the best kitchen machines you ever buy and that you will actually use often! It looks good in the kitchen too, which is a bonus. Great value and you will use it for years. It is easy to clean and sets up in minutes. Excellent and highly recommended.

Fuss free small batch cake baking
First impressions are that this product is to cakes what a bread machine is to loaves of bread.
Sadly the first impressions were wrong in several ways.
This cake baker does not take all the work out of cake baking in the same way a bread maker does bread.
What this does do is take the worry out of cake baking and if you follow the recipes in the excellent recipe book included gives excellent results every time.
You still have to split eggs, precisely weigh, whip, mix and combine all your ingredients by hand (or with a mixer) in the correct order but when you have followed the instructions properly you then simply pour your batter into the 6 round, or 6 oblong or 1 large oblong mould, close the lid, set the program and the time suggested and that’s it!
In less than an hour you are going to dazzle your guests (As long as there are no more than 6 of you) with your melt in the middle creations or whatever you decide to make, lemon drizzle is our favourite!
Gone are the ever increasingly tense 10 then 5 then 2.5 minute checks on the oven to make sure it isn’t overcooking.
Instead you can focus on being the host with the most, safe in the knowledge the results are assured!
Cleaning up afterwards is easy enough with everything inside being non-stick and simply needing a light rinse and wipe to clean. Be careful how you store it all though because if you nest all the small dishes together the non stick surfaces may suffer, time for a paper towel possibly?
This device was reduced in price from 190 down to under 130 at the time of my review.
I would say if you are someone that struggles with cake baking it is worth the current price. HTH

We LOVE the cakes!!! Yummy!
Ordered this as we are a full time home schooling family and we wanted to included some extra skill training within baking and we seen this and thought how fun it would be to use and create some lovely cakes for us all to enjoy after a day of baking.
The cakes are really soft and fluffy and I have to say my diet at the moment has gone out the window haha, our Daughters just love to use this under supervision and is simple and easy to use.
Once we have finished the whole thing is easy enough to clean within a few minutes.
Finally the overall look of the machine is lovely and I really like the colour of it too as it looks nice on our kitchen side.
I would definitely recommend for any family!
Works well! Useful if you have limited oven space or are learning to bake
Curious little machine that bakes well. Out of the recipes we’ve tried everything has come out nice. The app has a good variety of recipes, we haven’t felt the need to connect the app with the machine so cannot say how well that feature works. It comes with a good range of moulds in the box. This device will be particularly useful if you have limited oven space (but note it is about the size of a big toaster), or as something to help out whilst you are learning to bake. Our 14 year old has happily had the most use from it.
Compact, well-made product's that easy to use.
A compact mini oven that bakes muffins or cakes perfectly and quickly perfect for young chefs and beginners. It comes with a baking tray, two sets of six new CreaBake muffins and mini bar moulds, a support frame and instruction manual.
This Cake factory from Tefal is really simple to use. Recipes are easy to follow and you get perfect results every time. The compact size of this device means it wont take a lot of space on your countertop.
There’s no need for preheating so it makes cooking time quicker than the traditional oven. The touchscreen is easy to use and it has five intelligent modes including meringues and melting chocolates.
The only problem with this device is that due to its compact size, it won’t be able to bake in large quantities so if you have guests coming for dinner, you will need to cook in batches.
Other than, it’s a fun, beautiful, compact and easy to use product from Tefal that works as advertised.
Priced at 162 (at the time of writing), might be a little bit on the pricey side, but for the quality and functionality, I’d say it worth the price.
Thank you for reading.
A different way to bake. Its amazing.
I love this little oven, which is essentially what it is. I used to bake quite a bit, but not so much for the past few years. This is a different way of baking, and that took a little getting used to. I kept doubting the instructions. For example, surely i don’t put a sponge mix into a cold oven? Why am I whisking the egg and the sugar together, shouldn’t I be creaming the butter with the sugar? It’s a different way of baking but the results are great. It makes smaller batches of cake six muffins max at a time. I’ve made the blueberry muffins, apple cake and the jam sponge. I’ve had perfect results each time. The recipe book supplied contains thirty cake/desserts, but as the method of baking and the quantities made is so different adapting old recipes will be difficult. I understand there is going to be an app with more recipes and will definitely make use of this.
Great fun, especially with the weather cooling
Whilst others may go off into tomes about baking, TV chefs and such like – I am a married bloke with a sweet tooth – and I shall keep my review in that vein!
This was well timed with the weather cooling off, to start making yummy cakes and desserts (thanks to the included Recipe and many more online). After all, who can turn down a few extra inches of warmth at this time of year??? (That’s my excuse and I am sticking to it!)
We found it very simple to follow the recipe’s, the included moulds and near 1-touch baking results were very tasty (and gained me much kudos at work!). You still have to do the prep work – putting everything together and getting the quantities right – but being able to fill the moulds and push a button without having to spend the next 45mins peering through the glass door of the oven with the missus shouting at you “Don’t open it, you will let the heat out and blah blah blah”… priceless!
What comes out at the end is near perfect every time. Unlike my attempts in the oven that can land anywhere from “Rock Cake” to “Eton Mess” when I am aiming for a Chocolate Muffin, I did the Muffins 4 times in this Maker, and they came out virtually identical every time.
Clean up is still painful, but at least with this Maker there is a lot less mess and everything is neat and easy to wash out. Plus, that aforementioned relaxing time that used to be wasted staring into the oven window? Perfect time to wash up the bowls and such like while the Maker does the tricky bit.
There is that slight “ouch” moment when you look at the price – for 165 I would like to think it actually turned up with Nigella Lawson in her apron to do the work for you – but if you can get it on a discount or “Deal” then it will definitely make baking a lot more fun and a whole lot less stress.
P.S. If you intend doing the Molten Chocolate Cakes – plan on doing at LEAST 3 batches, because you WILL accidentally eat the first 2 batches yourself…
Wow
I like cookies and cakes but I hate baking- no not have the patience and with ovens that burn too much on one side and less on the other there was no way I would have spent my time baking. But this appliance is amazing- great addition for the kitchen and now it is just the perfect time to start baking some muffins and cookies. First batch was not the best I needed to test the time and termperature but the second turned out perfectly. Very expensive indeed but I think it is well worth the price- I will practice some recipes to be ready in time for Christmas
Quick small-batch baking, good for milk puddings
This is a really convenient kitchen gadget — especially for those who don’t have an oven or are perhaps using a caravan.
Although described as a “cake factory” it can be used for so much more — I’ve even made Japanese milk puddings and in mine.
It’s about the size of a small microwave, not too heavy and the outside does get a little warm but I can touch it for a while safely.
There is an instruction book and recipe guide, complete with colour pictures in multiple languages.
This appliance was easy to set-up and use. There are pre-programmed options but the timer and heat settings are easy to adjust.
There are multiple pans included — trays for larger bakes and small tins, although I believe you can use other pans if they fit inside. The ones included have been non-stick so far and easy to clean.
I'm in two minds about this
This cake maker is by tefal, which is a good brand. It’s quite expensive, but I suppose it’s a new concept so l expected that. The cake maker is electric, a stand alone item, and comes with various time and bits and bobs. It’s a gorgeous machine, and if you are really onto cakes and desserts, or have a young family, it’s great. But, first things first. Under the stars heading I was asked to award stars for comfort and suction power?! Neither of these have any bearing on the product and left me a little confused! This award system needs sorting out! Anyway, the actual product works excellently. So far, I’ve made sponges, a Madeira cake and a few smaller things. The machine cooks well, is easy to use, easy to clean and it’s quite self contained. It’s top of the range and is the contemporary way to go. However, it is rather expensive, and if you don’t have a lot of room, it either takes up necessary space or has to be constantly stored and taken out again, which is a faff. We don’t eat that many cakes really, so this for me has limited use. It is a good product but not my thing.
Makes great cakes
As I’m getting my kids into cooking as part of appreciating the food they eat, the desert maker was something I was hoping would take some of the guess work out of baking and allow them to make things consistently well.
The machine is so quick and simple to use, it’s really great, not just for when helping the kids to bake, but just general baking. When you’re following recipe from the booklet or the app it really is a simple case of pressing the right buttons and the cakes come out exactly as indented.
It certainly is possible to get the same results from a regular oven, but the key here is that the recipes are made for this maker so you get consistent results, rather that it being a little hit and miss when using normal recipes and the oven. My favourite are those with the lava cake program where the centre of cakes have are liquid (like a chocolate filling). I find this so hard to judge normally, but the Tefal maker takes all the guess work out of it.
Overall a great addition to the kitchen.
Super make
Im so pleased to have such desert maker.
Its now saves a lot of my time and its so easy to use it.
Deserts becoming really great looking and tasty.
Sucg machine perfect for muffins, pies and many more.
The maker comes with the clear instuction. And package already includes moulds and baking tray.
Overall, can say its a really great machine.
And its definetly worth every penny.
Great gadget for new or space constrained bakers
You can think of this as a much more effective, grown up Easy-Bake Oven. It’s about the size of a slow cooker and has a cute design.
I’ve made a few bakes in it from the included cookbook and they’ve all turned out well: evenly baked and tasty. My regular oven has a noticeably uneven heat distribution, so it’s necessary to turn a bake to prevent one side from getting burnt. No such worries with the cake factory.
Operation is simple, with set programmes for a variety of desserts and a manual mode which is useful for melting ingredients like chocolate and butter without needing to use an additional pan or bowl. So far I’ve only needed a mixing bowl and a whisk in addition to the cake factory. I think the cake factory has a decent amount of versatility with the manual programme and the additional recipes on offer in the app.
My only annoyances with its design are: the heavy lid can close suddenly, potentially on the user’s fingers, and the tray can be a little tricky to extricate from the body, especially when you’re wearing oven gloves.
Included are a tray for larger bakes, 6 muffin tins, and 6 rectangular tins. As it’s Tefal, everything is extremely non-stick and easy to clean.
I think this is a very handy device for new bakers or those of us with unreliable ovens.
Tefal Cake Factory KD810140 Precision Dessert Maker.
There were times when self respecting dinner guests would surreptitiously take a few minutes to scan the host’s bookcase looking for the latest Jamie, Nigella, etc. offering. That’s probably still the norm, but now they might also be interested in weighty tomes from Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood. Baking is the new badge of honour for the ‘hostess with the mostest’, so the Tefal Cake Factory may be set to become the equivalent of the food processor.
The unit itself is a semi-complete kit with a simple five step automated process and a sixth manual setting for recipes outside those given in the recipe booklet and the phone app. I say semi-complete because the KD810140 version does not contain the full gamut of baking accessories, which I found disappointing. There are three variants of this product in the Tefal range. This, the KD810140 is the middle variant. The top of the range KD801843 costs only 4 more and contains more moulds, but still not the full range of accessories. The Tristans and the Phoebes in the Tefal marketing department need to think again about how to position this product bundle against price points.
So, does it do what it says on the baking tin? Yes, it’s a very easy system to familiarise yourself with. The controls are simple step-through types, and the set menus use one of the five automated processes with variable times according to the recipes. Some recipes call for a ‘PM’ setting, which is a mis-translation. It’s actually an abbreviation for Manual Program. I started with the first recipe in the book: “Molten Middle Chocolate Cakes” and the results were very impressive. There are two pics posted of these and the finished results closely matched the pics in the recipe book. I also tried the “Far Breton” and that turned out pretty close to the professional version as well. Going ‘off piste’ I used a tried and trusted Pavlova recipe with the meringue setting but that was a failure as the finished article sweated much of the sugar syrup out of the egg white after cooling. I might have been more successful if I had used the Manual Program settings, copying conventional oven times and temps. And therein lies the rub. What does the Tefal Cake Factory do that a conventional oven doesn’t? When we look at the creations of the TV chefs, we sometimes wonder why our versions never turn out quite the same. It could be because they often use very sophisticated ovens with a 4 figure price tag. If that’s not a luxury you can afford, then the Tefal Cake Factory is probably what I would recommend if you wanted pretty near perfect baking results. I say ‘probably’ because it only makes small numbers/portions. I’ve yet to see a Jamie Oliver book called “Jamie’s Fifteen Minute Dishwashing”, and yes, we all know that the clean-up is never featured in the TV programs. Baking creates lots of clean up work, which is tolerable if you are making a reasonable quantity of buns, cakes, scones, tarts etc. But if you are only making 6 of an item, it becomes more of a chore.
So, what do I like and dislike about the Tefal Cake Factory
Likes
Simple and pretty fool-proof recipes and processes
Easy to clean
Economical to operate
Good selection of recipes in the supplied book
Additional recipes in the App plus community contributions
Great for small batch baking if that’s what you need.
And what I don’t like
Skimping on the accessories for what is an expensive product
No clear advantage over a reasonably high-end conventional oven
Time saving and ease of use advantages may be outweighed by small batch limitations.
I would recommend the Tefal Cake Factory for those who want what I have outlined in the ‘likes’ points above. The dislikes are not enough to negate the good points of the Cake Factory, and those who make a positive decision to purchase based on this review won’t be disappointed. Please hit the ‘helpful’ button if this review has been useful to you.
It works well but recipe lacks correct program/times
This is one of two kits Tefal do of the cake factory. It is the higher priced at almost double the cost from the various websites I checked. The difference is this comes with two sets of metal non stick mini cake tins whereas the cheaper set is with silicone ones. If I was buying this I dont think the almost double price is justified for the sake of tin versus silicone cases.
The cake factory is amazing. The results are absolutely perfect. It is like a factory in that there is no watching or worrying is it under or over cooked, you plug and play, and the cake is so moist as its q sealed chamber like a bain marie. The cake I made was outstanding an apple cake using the large non stick tray, and I took it in squares to a large market event and sold them for charity. I was offered feedback unasked and it was uniformly wie this is amazing /really good / moist etc. There were about 15 comments.
So this could be a boon if you want q simple way of doing wither a traybake or minicakes for a last minute bake. I made mine 8pm the night before as the delivery driver left the parcel outside without knocking or would have been earlier in the day!!
The one let down is the recipe booklet and the app too (for the tefal recipes). It seems the concept of giving clear program number or times is beyond the book /recipe writers. The apple cake said the use the large tray but to use P2 program. That is for mini cakes. I used P1 the one for traybakes and it was perfect as I say.
Other ones did not give the instruction at all on how long to cook or what setting such as a tart. Only the pastry case had a time and that was very long so I think it must be the actual sponge/topping time but then the pastry cook time is absent only the time to brush with egg and dry off. I think the recipes added by people are going to be more reliable as they will have been tested to work at that program and time.
For the apple cake they said use 2 apples. I had pre cut apple slices so used 250g of them which I think is double their amount. I like my apple! I added some cinnamon only a pinch and a cap vanilla. P2 for 40 minutes use the arrow key to increase from 35 to 40.
Highly recommended machine recipes use with caution and change where you think program or timing does not make sense or use ones with better instructions like the sent in customer ones!
Most comfortable way to bake
Tepal quality is visible on this cake factory!
It comes with different accessories for baking a cake in a large tin or circle or rectangular shape cups.
It’s very easy to use and get good results. All the material used on this device look and feels good and sturdy.
Absolutely excellent - but cheaper if you shop around
This is truly excellent and makes lovely cakes, turning everyone into a star baker! Tefal is one of our favourite brands. We have their steam machine iron and it’s the best we’ve ever owned. They can be trusted when things go wrong, too, with first class customer support from their UK office – real and helpful people on the end of the line and an easy, fast collect-and-return repair system! There’s really nothing to fault with this clever device, except the price at the moment so do shop around (it is under 100.00 at Aldi for example, and 130 at Currys).
That said, Amazon’s amazing return policy is a big thing to consider and, in my view, worth paying a bit more for if necessary (it usually isn’t, of course).
