All-in-One gives you pressure cooking (high, medium or low), slow cooking (up to 9 hours), browning (seven levels), simmering (three levels), steaming (three levels) and baking, all in one appliance. It also has specific recipe functions for rice, porridge, baby food and stew/soup (three levels). There’s no need to watch the pot; All-in-One cooks by itself, leaving you free to enjoy the company of friends and family.

Very good multipurpose pressure cooker. Cooks food in less than half the time of a saucepan. Great for baking bread, aawell as steaming veg, making stews and pressure cooking.
Does what it says on the tin have used it in slow cooker and pressure modes with God results. On the down side the instructions could be better.
Very please with the instant pot does everything that it tells you to do wish there was a better recipe book but I bought another one and it’s brillia
Very efficient, easy to use. Does take a bit of getting used to at first as there is no manual provided in the box, but you just need to follow the recipes in the given recipe book. The manual is available online, and is very helpful.
I absolutely love this thing. That’s all I have to say.
Works great as Pressure Cooker and Slow cooker also for rice wish I had bought one earlie
I’ve had one of these before (another brand) and it started playing up; I’d had it years and knew how wonderful they were and wanted to replace it. I got this one, and although I’ve not really looked into all the features, I love it. The only downside to it is the hinged lid – you need a bit of clearance room to lift up the lid, which is a bit of a pain, as I don’t have much counter space. However, they are a Godsend in this miserable weather.
100% recommended, easy to clean and easy to use. It shows and give you all the information you need.
I bought it as a gift for a friend and he loved it so much that I bought one myself. It is so silent and with no steam while cooking! It blows a lot of steam once finish, but it is only a small disadvantage in my opinion.
Its about 3 weeks that I’ve recieved my Tefal multicooker and I am really happy about it. Its has a perfect combination of options that makes cooking really easy. It keep your food warm. The Brown option is so good you can easily roast ingerdinent of the stew before using the Stew option. The Rice option is not very suitable for cooking rice with Irainians method, but the combination of rice with brwon is fine. The pressure option is perfect as well. In general I highly recommend it.
This is a very useful item to have in the kitchen.
We find it great for slow cooking the dinner when we’re out all day.
Absolutely love this use it more than a few times a week. Cooks soups perfect meat is amazing and tender. Im very pleased with i
It’s worth spending 5 minutes reading the instructions. From there it’s a breeze. The product seems well made, it’s very easy to clean and I would definitely recommend.
Love it! Had an old high dome prestige for fourty years. But prestige was taken over from a terrible company that supplies low standard valves and rings. So thought I’d upgrade to a more modern one. Not nervous at first as i m in my 70’s but got over it. just cooked a half shoulder of lamb in 25 mins!
Great product, cooking made so simple not sure why it took me so long to get this
Amazing product,I bought it as a present for my sister. She loves it.Its her best friend since. Very quick cooking, not messy,no smell .The only down side is the life is not removable which makes it a bit more complicated for cleaning
The multicooker with pressure cooker function. What else could you ask for ? Having tried all sorts of recipes, from soups to cakes to Briani and lentils, it’s really good value for money, lots of cooking functions(25 in total), well built -not the cheap plastic and easy to clean. This would be an ideal present to anyone who loves cooking. Well worth the price tag.
Does a good job and is helpful in creating lots of wonderful meals.
I’m sure when I’ve got my head around how to use it it will be just amazing. However, instructions aren’t the best so strongly advise to get YouTubing for advice on how best to use.
Because the old one is broken, so I bought this one. It’s very convenient to cook porridge and rice every day with it. Moreover, all the functions are very complete. It’s a good kitchen helpe
It’s an excellent product, I don’t have anything against it.
All programmes work great. Use it all the time. Only issue I have with it is you have to hold down the steam release until it’s finished so taking up your time preparing the rest of your meal.
It was a gift for my mom! She loved it and its a cheap option for a rice cooker with other functions if thats what you are looking for!
Very useful use it couple of times per week. makes soups and browns meat then can use as a slow cooker. Only drawback is the water collects in the rim of the lid and when you open the lid water comes out onto the bench.
The product is great, easy to use. There is only one drawback. The inner container do not have any handle, so when you finish cooking it is hard to take out hot container.
its annoying that we can’t take off completely the cap… but open enough to get of anything we need to get off
Fairly easy to use, almost too many functions!
Browning function is useful as you can brown meat or onions for a casserole in the pot so you don’t lose flavour when moving from frying pan to pot.
Lid can be a pain in that it spins round when you open it and have to spin it back again before closing but you soon get used to it.
This had now become my new kitchen staple. I use it for everything. Amazing.
All round asset to the kitchen. Easy to use to make fuss free meals. The included information on use is basic but adequate and plenty of recipes and tips on-line.
This product is amazing for the price, I originally got it for the pressure cooking option but it does so much more. I would recommend this for quick and healthy meals which doesn’t cost a fortune.
I love it and used it straight away. Very fast delivery. Thank you
I have not used it!!!! But I hope work well!!!
I have been dreaming of getting a pressure cooker for the past 3 years and finally said enough was enough I’d get myself one. So glad I did this is so versatile and quick. I think it will be very well used once I return to work.
I’m in love with this machine, it’s great for beans, rice, lentils, soup, and tough cuts of meat. Only slight complaint is that the outer ring can get filled with moisture.
Just what i needed after a week its a welcome addition to the kitche
Great cooker, for loads of different recipes.
Brilliant for stews and casseroles meat is so tender.
Appeared to be a nice piece of equipment – not tested personally, purchased as a prese
Would have given 5star ratings if the lid was easily detachable. It’s a bit tricky to use on the kitchen top if you have a standard English kitchen with limited space between the kitchen counter and the wall cabinets as the hinged lid gets in the way. Also it’s a bit difficult to clean the lid as it doesn’t detach. Besides that it’s quite straightforward to use and good quality build with a number of useful pre-programmed cooking functions.
Glad that I bought this pressure cooker I have been looking to get one for about two years it has made a big difference as I have arthritis in my hands .the food tastes so much better and doesn’t take long to cook once it has got up to temperature very glad I bought it.
Its great for all those pressure cooking and slow cooking requirements. Well made and easy to use. A good quality item. Recommended to all. very pleased with this purchase and its performance. Also looks as good as it cooks and fits in well with the kitchen environment. Buy it, use it, love it. Cooking made much more simple and likable.
The product does exactly what is says. It is quick, quiet and a big big improvement on our last pressure cooker. I just wish the interior of the lid came out for cleaning. I think I will be tempted to run it on water only to make sure the lid interior is really clean.
Super convenient. It took me a while to get the functions going. But I have made soup/stew,cooked fonio,Rice & made Seafood jambalaya & it was delicious.
If you love and appreciate your time, this what you need.
It’s built pretty tough. Has good weight to the machine and the buttons are study. Nothing about the machine isnt study. I’ve been using it everyday since i got it and its been going well with no issues. I shall update a few months after this.
The cooker is big allowing big menus to be prepared, but it is very heavy before being filled, after filling obviously more so. I found the instructions complicated and some of the illustrations unclear. I do however realize that personal variations work well once I discover and remember the order of necessary buttons to be pressed.
Amazing & healthy reserve all the natural flavors & no need for wate
Scores are for pressure cooker use only as that is the only mode I have used so far. Easy to use and a huge advance on our old pressure cooker which sat on the gas hob. Much quieter, much easier to time and easy to clean. Looking forward to using the other modes
Product does exactly what it’s meant to do. Will recommend i
A very versatile cooker that is quick and well designed.
I’ve used my multi cooker almost every day since I got it. I’ve used the slow cook, pressure cook, soup/stew and reheat programmes so far. Especially soup, I love my healthy home made soups (as does my grand daughter in law who always looks forward trying each new recipe). It makes everything so easy which, as a disabled person, is so important for me. Highly recommended.
Love this item simple and effective , however make sure you put the pressure bolt on the right way after cleaning it. Would recommend to anyone
It’s a wonderful peace of kitchen kit. I am in love with it! It’s very easy to use regardless of other people’s comments. Easy to clean and everything tastes great – all made in no time!
Couldn’t be happier with this product. Makes life so much easie
I love it, I can cook fast, taste food. Thanks so much.
Bought this a week ago, ( bit disappointed it’s reduced by 25 this week) anyway done gammon, lasagna base, and risotto all turned out tasty and lovely. The recipe book is not the best, I went on you tube and got brilliant recipes from Australian greggo. This product is ideal for the working people who want tasty quick healthy meals.
I’ve only used it for slow or pressure cooking, but great results. The instructions are rubbish though! Compact. Easy to clean.
Brilliant I use it most days!! It has replaced slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer so more space on kitchen worktop now
It’s great and versatile. This is now my main appliance for cooking all meals
Food is perfectly cooked ! Overall it is a good investment, don’t hesitate
Still getting used to it, what we have cooked in it was lovely, both pressure and slow cooke
I’m eating healthier , tastier and saving money. Thanks to this electrical pressure cooker. wish I bought it sooner.
Great product. Got it during the sale and definitly got my money out of it so far. Only problem is that the pot starts to smell after making curries and no amount of cleaning gets rid of it.
Don’t know how I coped without it. Had an old fashion pressure cooker for years this one is so easy to use without the horrible hissing that used to frighten the animals and kids.
I love this pot. A day rarely goes by that I don’t use it. Cleaning is very easy. I have not commented on durability because I don’t know. I’ve had the pot for about a month and have not had any problems and hope it will be durable. I highly recommend it, it is great.
Excellent . I have disabilities and cooking is hard to impossible . With this I sit at table prepare ingredients . Put in pot .turn on and later voila
We’ve only had this for a month, but so far are really liking the unit. It is very versatile, and well made.
his thing really works! use it to cook meat stews, it does it in less than 40 mins and the meat would just fall off the bones! Cooking dry beans, done in under an hour. Quiet, no fuss, simple to clean. The only downside for me is that it is a little bulky for my kitchen.
This is a good quality product but the instructions are not brilliant. The recipe book could be better. Not enough info about the slow cooker. Took my wife some time to use it because she was a bit afraid of it but she has mastered it now. Plenty of recipes/instructions online for similar item.
Great pressure cooker temperature adjustment is very handy as is high or low-pressure cooking is good for things with less liquids, have tried cook4me and found it was too temperamental (Error 24) crops up a lot so that went back
Great item! Easy, fast and very convenient to use! I am extremely happy with it!
Great product. Saving time, easy to use. Fast and tasty!
I just used it yesterday to pressure cook chickpeas, and was very pleased with the results, however, the water was almost dried up, I could not find any guidance about amount of water.
The slow cook function works well, and produces tender tasty meals, but you can’t just lift the lid to check sesaoning, but have to wait for end of cooking time-I split it up.
Once you have figured out how to use the sear function, it works well. With the simmer function, liquid evaporates quite quickly, so good for reducing gravy if there is too much.
I haven’t used the bake function, and am unlikely to use it
So overall, I am pleased with the purchase, but it has taken a bit of figuring out.
A good mark- I lost the recipe booklet, which you really need to use in conjuction with the instructions, and emailed customer services, they emailed back with a PDF file of the recipe bookle
Love this…… I got it because I use beans a lot, and now it doesn’t take so long. Excelle
My daughter loves it, she’s a busy girl so very happy.
My step-daughter is absolutely delighted with this. We got it her for Christmas based on my experience with electric pressure cookers. They are great. She hasn’t stopped raving about this!
Was very afraid to use it at first, felt like I was missing something important that might lead to an explosion or something. I would expect more instructions since it has so many options!
However, it does its job very well and I am very pleased.
This is a good choice, works very well and easy to use.
As a man living on my own I had slowly grown to neglect my cooking and my health so I pulled myself together and purchased this cooker. I have improved my health and my diet, meats and vegetables of all colours are so quickly and easily cooked in this fine looking apparatus. I recommend it to home alone, busy families and persons wishing to cook quickly and smartly and then get on living their lives.
It’s an amzing, spacious machine, the only disadvantage is the lack of the manual and recipe book, but you can download the manual from the website (do not expect a long detailed description though)
Excellent helper at any kitchen, a lot different slow cooking options, fast cook under pressure, DIY settings available up to 160 … I am impressed. Only one bad thing, lid – need to be operated with extra attention due lid should be turned a little bit to open/ close.
It’s a pretty ok pressure cooker. The only one problem is that main bowl is not dishwasher safe.
Very good once you have mastered the controls , the manual like so many these days is almost useless and the print is about the size of that on an aspirin bottle . The controls could be so much simpler as in the Tefal cook4me .
Absolutely love this.So easy to cook. The only cons I find is when it cooks and you open it water pours on the sides and its hard to dry it out.And second con is that it takes a while to get ready for the selected program. But overall its amazing.I use it everyday for delicious meals.Dont use much of a cooker any more.
I have a PKP 5L and wanted a 6L but not another PKP so this won me over .
I use my recipe books for elec pressure cooker just fine with this pot .
SOme people say the browning button doesn’t work BUT it does you just hav to have the lid turned to the closed postion when the lid is open..
I have used this 5 days out of 7 this week as its the bees knees. Liver and Onions today yum.
Bought this as a gift for my friend. Hope she likes it!
I bought half price and delivery was very quick. All the functions work superb. I didn’t have to change the default times as they work perfectly for my recipes.
Mine arrived with a giant dent in the side but this hasn’t affected the operation. As an IP user I’m familiar with the workings of electric pressure cookers and this was definitely helpful because the instructions with this are pants. You have to work a lot out for yourself. For example I couldn’t get the browning function to work for ages and I was close to a breakdown until I turned the lid (which was up on the hinge) and it suddenly worked. Turns out it had to be in the locked position. Ridiculous. Also, the buzzer is too quiet, and I don’t like the hinged lid as it fell on my finger and nearly broke it. I don’t like the steam release function as you have to stand there with your finger on it unless you knock it askew with a spoon or something to keep it open, and I also don’t like how difficult it is to tell when all the pressure has been released, you have to put your face over the steamy vent to see if the little pin has dropped. Apart from these design flaws, it’s awesome – it cooks brilliantly, and once I’d figured out how to program it the way I wanted it, I never looked back. It could do with some little niggles ironing out and much better instructions, other than that I wouldn’t be without it.
For less than 100 this is an incredibly versatile pressure cooker. Complete with 25 presets for 30 different recipes, it brings convenience, complete with delicious food into the winter months.
Setting it up couldn’t be easier as there are so few moving parts. And the cooker itself strips down to be hand washed, or washed in the dishwasher – this couldn’t be more convenient.
With winter on the doorstep a pressure cooker brings delicious convenient food and very little time. You can simple bung a bunch of ingredients into the cooker and set the timer (this will then turn on and prepare the food for when you return from work or play), and you return to perfectly cooked, melt in the mouth meat and veg that he not lost its nutritional value, as all of the goodness is contained within the pot.
This can also be used for steaming, baking, browning, you name it. So far my favourite recipe is a beef hotpot, perfect for those cold minter nights.
This would be a sound investment for any household, or the perfect present for a friend or loved one.
I like that you can make a full meal in i
It’s a great product and simplifies your cooking process. Food tastes so much tastier. I have already advised all my friends to get it!!!
Having had an old style pressure cooker for years I was interested to see how this one fared. First impressions were good, its well made, the lid is attached and has an integral steam release button that makes steam release far safer than I’m used to, and there’s a nice selection of accessories for the pot. The main cooking pot is removable so its easy to clean. The instructions for use could be clearer, and the walk-through recipes are a bit confused in the way they describe the operation of the cooker, but after a couple of trys it becomes far easier to manage. Cooking times are impressive and it has certainly encouraged me to try more unusual dishes. A 4 star review, would have been 5 if the instructions were cleare
We have used ours so far for tasks including heating vegetables, browning meat, as a slower cooker for casseroles and baking cakes. That’s barely scratching the surface of what you can do with it. It has a very simple interface comprising pushing one or two buttons. If you want to use it as a slow cooker it doesn’t have the range of temperatures you would get from a purpose-made device, there is just one setting. So, it is a bit of s Swiss Army Knife of a cooker, it can do lots of things, but lacks the sophistication of specialised tools.
One of my foodie friends — who used to run an Indian food business— told me that having a pressure cooker would change my life. She might have been exaggerating a little, but it’s certainly true that the pressure cooker function on this versatile machine cooks soups and stews based on dried beans, lentils and peas remarkably quickly compared to a pot on the hob. And being electric, with all the modern safety features you would expect, it isn’t as scary to use as the heavy metal contraptions I recall from school cookery classes many years ago.
The machine offers the choice of manual operation —- described as “DIY Cooking” — or one of a large number of preset programmes. These include the pressure cooker function and also functions to work as a slow cooker, soupmaker, pot roaster, etc. You can even use it to fry onions and other vegetables, and brown meat, before adding liquid to make soup or stew, as you would do in a pan on the hob. With quite a bit of practice it’s possible to get good results this way, and the one-pot method saves on washing up and frees up hob space. Dhal made in the pressure cooker is not only quicker to cook, but very tasty as the aromas of the spices are sealed in during cooking rather than escaping.
The capacity is large — typical recipes to serve six fit comfortably, and recipes for four feel a little bit lost but they do cook properly. This is definitely the family-sized model and it takes up cupboard and worktop space. Iit’s not really ideal if you want to cook smaller quantities (for one or two, or baby food). And it goes without saying that when in use and full of food it is large, heavy, and gives off steam — care is needed in using it, as with any cooking appliance. The instructions for pressure cooking do need to be followed fully.
The 25 or so preset cooking programmes take some getting used to and the results can be a little unpredictable — if you are using dried chickpeas stored for a long time, for example, they may not cook through completely in the programmed time; fresher ones may end up softer than you would have liked. Of course, practice and a bit of careful experimentation would pay off here — it’s a question of how much effort you want to put into learning to use a gadget designed to save time and trouble in the kitchen. It would probably be a faster learning process for those already used to pressure cookers and slow cookers. Washing up is relatively easy, as you’d expect. Thi is a useful and versatile machine that could be really useful if you regularly cook soups and stews. Whether anyone would really use all the programmes is debatable — this could be simplified, I feel, to make the machine more user-friendly straight out of the box.
I haven’t owned a pressure cooker before, but this brought back memories from my childhood of my mother’s cooking. She was a great fan of the traditional Prestige model and regularly made stews on the hob that were fantastic in the winter.
My first hesitation with this item is that it’s yet another gadget. We seem to be bombarded with them these days, and many of us have cupboard shelves full of unused sandwich makes, slow cookers, actifrys, etc. Where does it end. So often they are used a few times, and then the novelty wears off. So is this yet another piece of shelf-ware?
I think not. Firstly, as a pressure cooker, it perhaps introduces the concept to a new generation. You can quickly and easily produce a fantastic stew with just 15 minutes of cooking. The control panel with its pre-set options and instructions make it feel less intimidating in use than the old hob-type pans. Where it really scores is that it doubles-up as a slow cooker. I’m a huge fan of slow-cooking and it’s one device that every kitchen should have as you can’t replicate the approach using conventional equipment. So in that one respect this multi-function item really scores.
We haven’t been able to test all its functions yet, but so far we’re very happy with it and I think it’s very likely to stay on the worktop and not in a cupboard. This would be an ideal purchase for someone setting up a new home who doesn’t yet have all those single-function gadgets and can therefore meet many of their needs with this one item.
Just Gets on With It
There, I have chosen my favourite and oft-used words to describe this fabulous Tefal multi-cooker that Duncurin was delighted to receive for review courtesy of Tefal and Vine.
I remember my mum’s pressure cooker. It would spit and hiss menacingly as it sat on the stove with spurts and whizzy valves that presumably were there to prevent the whole thing from blowing up. Upon retrieving and opening the chromed vessel our mum would ensure that the kitchen was cleared of us small kids as I think she thought, and certainly we did, that anything could happen. And yet the speed, efficiency and nutritional value of pressure-cooked food is not in doubt. It just needed someone to iron out all the rough edges make it safe and genuinely useful and here it is!
I must inform you of my lack of cooking credentials. I can cook a basic menu but really have never scraped out a vanilla pod or assembled intricate sauces from a confusing array of ingredients let alone known how to use them! There was thus something compelling and enticing about this multi-cooker complete with easy to understand cookbook with some nice recipes that I could see were suddenly within my reach. Upon doing a microwave review some time ago I entitled my review ‘push-button cooking’ and in a way this is an even better example of such a thing as of course the cooking vessel is multi-tasking and is far from just a pretty-faced pressure cooker as it will bake, steam, slow cook, reheat and even has a delayed function for those who would like something ready and hot when they come in from work. The other point is that this entire unit takes up about as much space as my mum’s old pressure cooker but of course will do far more. For those of us with limited space in their kitchen, then this makes a wonderful case for its inclusion.
Please note the recipe book is created in Australia and there is a conversion guide for those of us not familiar (and I don’t know if I can still use this word in polite company) with Imperial units. I was defeated by steel cut oats as I’d never heard of them but the rest of it was easy to translate and to use. You can see the attached photo of the marble cake. I must confess I’d never made marble cake before and would not have known how to marble it but I suspect that courtesy of this fabulous cooker and nice recipe book, then, many things are possible. I am planning some pressure-cooked corn on the cob to have with our evening meal and already have my sights set on porridge, rice and the super plum klafouti. I guess it’s too early for me to talk about widening my repertoire and using the DIY cook option where one enters one’s own cooking criteria but I am sure this will come with time. It might also be nice to have an expanded cook book with more recipes maybe that one could buy?
Ultimately this is the perfect kitchen aid for someone like me who has no real skills with cooking but someone who does want fresh, healthy, well-prepared food and does not want to resort to sliding trays into the microwave. Of course its also idea for those who like to make their own baby food, those who want something steaming away satisfyingly as they come in from work, those who want to re-heat things already prepared and also, paradoxically, those who have high skill levels and are used to perhaps sorting pressure cookers and steamers of old but want an up to date and safe option that will — well what more can I say — just get on with it. With my thanks.
This is a close but no cigar attempt to knock the Instant Pot off its pedestal of covetousness, it’s a good multifunction electric pressure cooker but ultimately let down by Tefal cheaping out on the accessories (steamer basket etc) in plastic (eep the thought of pressure cooking plastic!) and a slightly cheapy plasticky lid compared to the competitors.
I love electric pressure cookers, this is my third, my other two are used pretty much daily for one thing or another being a house of 7 people including 3 generations and 2 small children, electric pressure cookers make life easier. I think I’m in a great position to assess the Tefal All-In-One as I own both the Tefal Cook-4-Me a more automated with manual options pressure cooker (courtesy of Vine 3 years ago) and the Instant Pot Duo 7 in 1 – 6 Litre which I bought with my own money no incentive 6 months later and to be fair the All-in-one is an attempt to hybrid the two.
The good points-
– unlike some other reviewers I LOVE the hinged lid, so many times I’ve waved about like a numpty with the Instant Pot lid in my hand not knowing where to put it down safely where it won’t damage the surface. This has taken the hinged lid from the Cook4Me but removed the fiddly plate and made it super easy to clean just like the Instant Pot. It just opens up and tada you can get on with your business, great for small spaces.
– The range of pressures is good too, it’s closer to a traditional stove top pressure cooker in that you can set the pressure intensity meaning of low-medium-high whereas the Cook4Me has just one and the Instant pot has low-high (which is somewhat lower than a stovetop high)
-The steam release button is GENIUS! The Cook4Me auto releases which isn’t great for many recipes as the more natural release the more soaking in and development of flavour, and certainly better texture which is why I use my Instant Pot for curries etc but so many times I’ve had to poke the quick release valve of my IP with a cooking spoon and jump ourtthe way of the whooshing dragon as my 5 year old used to call it as you have to touch where the steam comes out to release it- this Tefal All in One you press a button from the safety of the lid and all is well and away from your hand woohoo!
-Slightly more functionality and understanding of the temperature range with the settings, for example you can brown on high 160 or gently cook on a low120 (great for caramelising onions for example) but you can’t adjust whilst cooking like you can on a hob. BUT you can get better control over the outcome of your dish using the automated function such as the difference between a vegetable and a meat based soup can make all the difference in taste rather than just a generic soup/stew etc function.
The bad points-
It’s close, so close, but there are some poor choices made to beat the Instant Pot on price by sacrificing quality including the plasticky lid compared to their own Cook4Me model- the included accessories of a trivet and steam basket are PLASTIC- which gives me the heebie jeebies to be honest I can’t think of pressure cooking a faux-tisserie chicken (it’s a real recipe) on a plastic trivet even if it is ‘heat resistant’.
I can sort of deal with the non-stick pot despite the issues with non-stick because despite the bad sides it’s the branded Teflon not an imitation and it does make a massive massive difference when cooking rice and grains- we don’t cook rice in our instant pot we always use the cook4me (which is handy as curry gets done in the IP at the same time) as everytime I’ve done rice in the IP I’ve burnt the bottom. BUT the choice to purchase a stainless steel pot and accessories would make this more attractive in the way that instant Pot has a range of add on extras you can buy separately. The non-stick does make a slight difference in texture and outcome of recipes and I admit I think I prefer my IP.
Its also not as intuitive as the Instant Pot and discourages going freestyle which the IP encourages, you have too many presets before the time setting and the DIY option does not end in keep warm function like EVERY Other function does which is a bit of a liberty as the IP just defaults to keep warm on everything. I suspect with people lacking in confidence or experience the range of adaptability of pressure/temp/ingredient/time may be problematic and confusing even with presets.
Finally, there is no yoghurt option, it’s not a deal breaker but it’s a pretty big win in the direction of the Instant pot.
Basically, if this came with a stainless steel pot and accessories, I would be jumping ship from TEAM Instant Pot even with no yoghurt function (I really must get back to doing that again), but it doesn’t, I think Tefal wanted to undercut the market leader but by doing that had to sacrifice the quality of the product, which is a real shame as this lid is brilliant. For us, this will be a second/third cooker, I am Team Instant Pot but through no incentive, I paid for it, wasn’t encouraged to buy it etc it was my decision to upgrade from the Cook4me which became our secondary cooker because the Instant pot is so very superior to both the Cook-4-me and All-in-One but it is more expensive.
If you don’t care about the plastic, or can sub in other accessories then go for it you can save between 10-50 on average on the price of the Instant Pot with much of the functionality and a easier to use lid, but until Tefal improve the accessories I’d say hold out for the Instant Pot to drop, it often does to around the same price.
I was disappointed that a product of the quality of the Tefal All in One Electric Pressure Cooker comes with such poor instructions. In contrast to the excellent full-colour recipe booklet, the instruction are printed on poor quality paper, in black and white using somewhat confusing graphics. What makes it worse is that you then have to search through the booklet to find the text that ties up with the label on the graphic.
However, having manage to work out how to use it, it’s a very useful and versatile piece of equipment that saves a lot of kitchen workspace, which is handy because it’s an attractive appliance that you won’t mind leaving out on display.
This product is multi-functional, with the required function being selected by pressing a button on the front panel. Each function has a pre-programmed cooking time but, with experience, this can be over-ridden to suite personal preference. It is also possible bypass the pre-sets altogether by using the “DIY” function.
The recipe book contains some very interesting ideas; so far, the pressure cooker function has had most use, and it has been brilliant. We will probably get more use from the slow cooker function later in the year when days get colder and we want to come home to an already cooked meal.
Another advantage of one-pot cooking is the reduction in washing-up, and this appliance is particularly easy to keep clean.
Overall, we’re impressed with the Tefal All in One Electric Pressure Cooker and it’s going to get very well used.
This is the fifth multicooker I have tested. We looked around, read the reviews and initially bought the Tefal 45 in 1 Multicooker. The 45 in 1 is less than 100 and is excellent in all that it does. Sadly it did have a fault on the screen and so was returned, but for the money, it is very hard to beat it. This product is almost the same price as the 45 in 1 and so I was expecting great things. I must say, I am a little less impressed with this Pressure Cooker compared to the 45 in 1, only in the sense that it takes a bit more practice with the amount of liquid needed. If you get it wrong, you can end up with watery sauces or a Pressure Cooker that stops.
This is quite a large crockpot type of pressure cooker. The technology is very clever, but you do need to read the instructions very carefully to avoid issues. It easily and VERY quickly makes nice tasting dishes. You must add more liquid than you usually would use. If it senses that there is not enough, it releases the steam and stops cooking. You then have to add more liquid and restart the cooking cycle, which is a pain to do.
The speed it cooks at is incredible. We made a stew and it was done in 12 minutes. It can cook a chicken in about 40 minutes. We have taken the pot to our kitchen in Portugal and it is saving us a fortune in electricity bills. Electricity is very expensive in Portugal. Everything from curries, stews and chilly con carni’s it has cooked to perfection.
There are no real downsides with this cooker apart from ensuring there is enough liquid in the pot. The Pre Set programmes are very intuitive to use, the display is clear and the manual operation of this cooker is very easy and allows for great flexibility.
So I think the unit is very good and clever. Overall, if you want a super easy way to cook this is the unit for you. If you are happy spending 99 (at time of review) then you will not be disappointed. I am happy to Highly Recommend it.
Assuming nothing goes wrong, this is an excellent buy. It combines a pressure cooker, with a slow cooker and can also steam vegetables. This is ideal for lazy people like me who don’t like waiting for things to simmer but are sometimes prepared to throw some meat and a load of vegetables in the pot in the morning to have an easy meal ready in the evening. You will need to experiment with this, and use the given recipes where you can, as some meats come out really tender in the slow cooker, while others just lose their texture.
It doesn’t go on the cooker but runs from mains power. Much of it is plastic which makes me slightly concerned how long it will last (I nearly always update my reviews if things go wrong). But the functionality is excellent and the price is good, given that you can easily spend this much on a slow cooker or pressure cooker alone.
Very, very happy with this. My job doesn’t allow me a lot of free time to cook meal, and I usually resorted to pot noodles or take away. However with this I can prepare sumptuous pieces of meat in the morning, and have it ready to serve on my return from work. Easy to use as you mostly just need to add water to help cook the meat. But you can do so much more. You can steam vegetables, prepare rice or let already cooked food simmer for up to 24hrs. There is also a brilliant little recipe book that gives you ideas on vegetarian options, meat options and even recipes on baking a cake. It’s a food making saviour.
