This is my first telescope and very happy with it.
I bought this telescope to taken a closer look at nature and the solar system.
It is easy to assemble with a step by step guide.
This is perfect for a beginner who doesn’t want anything too complicated. Once you have set up your red dot finder, it’s simple, use your red dot finder to point to the image you want which will then appear in the telescope viewer. (Focusing required)
The camera attachment is a bit faffy at first but practice makes perfect.
I’ve looked at a few stars and various wildlife and am waiting for some clearer night skies at the moment. The telescope comes with various lenses with different magnifications including a Barlow lense which will come in useful once we get a new moon. I’m extremely pleased with the product for the price and would recommend this to an adult beginner.
Being someone who is a beginner to observing the heavens I didn’t know that to use the scope for terrestrial view the image is inverted which is a bit of a shame as the scope was intended for looking at objects on earth, However I will persist with it as it’s well made and seems good value for the price.

Becuase it is a smaller scope you may not be able to see everything you may want to however I popped a 6mm lense in and since then it’s been fantastic however if you’re not a beginner I would recommend going for the larger scope
For those looking into astronomy, nature watching ect… This is the perfect first telescope for those who are serious about the hobby. It’s not massive (Though it can take up space) it doesn’t cost the world; like the ones you see in movies and does the job right. Complete skywatching beginner here. Telescope looks good and is easy to assemble. Very easy to pack away in the neat-looking carry-bag, which is light so no problem in moving the kit around. I had thought that once you put it all together it’d be a pain to move to different locations but that isn’t the case. I now just need to figure out two things: a) how to use it properly and b) what I’m looking at!

The telescope has all the accessories needed to get started. Bought for my 9year old son and was simple enough for him to assemble. Looking forward to using it.
The package arrived promptly but, as others have reported mould, mine smelled musty and some of the screws were rusted up straight out of the box so these seem to have gotten wet at some point.
I would be pretty disappointed if I had paid the original 300 asking price.
Seems ok otherwise.

Being new to astronomy and telescopes,I wasn’t really up on which scope I needed but the slokey 50080 is absolutely perfect for seasoned pros and beginners like myself. It came with additional lenses that range from nearby observation up to planetary observations .due to poor winter cloud coverage and snow I have not as yet really had the chance to put it through its paces but I really look forward to this but it looks and maneuvers like more expensive telescopes with “A” rate clear magnification and study extendable tripod that makes it all round pleasing to the eye ..5/5..
This is a great telescope, Im still getting used to viewing the moon and other planets with the different lenses and the barlow but I added a few pics and a video from the first time viewing the moon.

Given the price this had the best specification and equipment included. It’s well built and easy to put together. I’ve only used it a handful of times but had some good results so far.

ipod is a little flimsy and hard to align, but for the price it’s a great telescope!
Novice friendly.
Not had a chance to try it properly yet but first impressions are good. Easy to assemble and the instruction booklet was very clear to follow. One negative I did find was the three middle size set screws were rusty on the thread and the knurled section , this suggests the plating process was either faulty on this batch of screws or the telescope and accessories have been in storage for a while. It’s not worth sending the whole thing back for the sake of three screws so I’ll live with it and just hope there’s not more corrosion somewhere I can’t see.

Product was simple to assemble and use , it was given as a present for a 9 yr old so not being fussy to assemble or use was important which meant she could get on with focusing on using, enjoying and stretching her imagination.

So far can’t find any faults with this lightweight, and extremely well built telescope. Assembly was a piece of cake. The controls are nice and smooth and easy changeable eyepieces and barlow lenses. Will update once we can get some clear weather but so far all is good

Fantastic first astronomy telescope
Bought this for my teenage son for Christmas, he absolutely loves it.
Excellent travelling telescope with good carrying case and plenty of useful equipment.
Just what I wanted. i have a 5 inch aperture 650mm focal length equatorial mount reflector telescope but wanted something less bulky for travelling. This was just the ticket with good clear magnification, a variety of eyepieces, mobile camera mount and good carrying case for everything including the tripod.
SLOKEY 50080 TELESCOPE
The telescope was delivered within 36 hours of ordering at peak Christmas time. All intact and nicely packaged in carrying case. I have yet to calibrate and align but assembly was not difficult. Less than 30 minutes. Overall appearance very impressive.

Arrived very quickly and telescope in excellent packaging. Very easy to put together and get working in under 30 minutes. Very helpful follow up email from Slokey with tips on operation after you get started. I like the fact its lightweight and easily transportable, can’t wait to use it outside for taking photos of the moon.

This is one brilliant telescope. The mount is steady and strong. Comes with 6/10/25mm eyepieces. Red dot finder is smooth and easy to use. Very impressed with the bag and the other little compartment bag. Comes with an instruction manuel which is clear and easy to follow. Very impressed.

Brilliant birthday gift for my husband
My husband has mentioned for a while his desire to have a telescope to view the stars. So this year I brought one, I was a bit nervous, as I knew nothing about telescopes. So with a bit of research I decided on this model.
My husband loves it, spent an hour setting it up and the last two evenings looking at the stars and attaching his phone. The product is well made with a handy travel case. It arrived on time and was a reasonable price. I’d recommend for anyone who wants to give astronomy a go.

Perfect for Beginners
I’m so pleased with this telescope. I hadn’t used a telescope since a child and straight away was able to see Jupiter and its moons and Saturn and it’s rings. It is easy to set up and the spotting scope makes it really easy find what you’re looking for. There are a few optional extras that would be really useful but there is enough included to set yourself up for observing the basics.

I am soooooooo happy with the results after using the telescope! It blew my mind! If you are like me and sceptical as to which one to go for and cautious to the quality, fear not, this telescope is amazing, the detail you can see of the moon is breathe taking. I am still in shock. Fantastic buy, took a little bit of time to get used to using it but when I finally did the views were amazing! All round great product. Would recommend. My only issue is my iPhone camera doesn’t work well with the phone holder, however that is nothing to do with the actual telescope itself. 100% would recommend!!

Good product for inexperienced stargazers
Very quick and easy to set up. Initial impression is a very good product that fulfils all we expected and more…now we just need need a clear night to use it properly!
On a side note, this was delayed due to lack of stock in the UK and was supposed to be a Christmas present. However I cannot fault the communication regarding the shortage and I was informed as soon as it returned to stock.

Ease of use
Opened up the telescope this morning which comes in a sturdy portable carry bag 80 x 25 x 10 cms is comfortable to carry and is protective of the equipment.
Follow the advice in the user manual set the telescope up in daylight and take your time. I attached my Apple i6 mobile and focused it on to a tree just under 800 metres away using the lowest magnification. First impressions are most impressive and exactly what I am looking for – an adaptable day/night telescope for observing the planets and country life. All I need now is a clear night sky, can’t wait.

I bought this for my 9 year old son. The assembly was very easy with clear instructions meaning he was able to use it almost immediately. The product feels solid and the diagonal lens makes it easy for him to view when on the tripod. The phone adapter is also a good addition for him giving him instant access to the image as well as the opportunity to put them straight onto his device. Very pleased.

This telescope is lovely and suitable for keep in garden. You need good balanced place where telescope legs can stay firmly in place. The moon look amazing full light and so beautiful. My astronomy studies start next September. I loved space and stars

Bought this for my 10 year old daughter who recently became interested in space. The photos are from our first time using it. They are of Mars. We now can’t wait for the next full moon.
The telescope is easy to set up and use. I’m not great with these kind of things. But even I managed it. It’s great because it’s lightweight and easy to move and carry. You get the adapter for your phone so you can take photos. It’s also easier to look through the phone screen, than through the telescope. Great product, highly recommend

It was easy to set up and gives great clarity. Bonus, it is portable and light weight with a carry case. We’re looking forward to taking it with us on holiday in France next year. With this being my first telescope I’m still figuring it out but the process it a lot of fun, unfortunately I have yet to view the moon (Here’s almy first photo of venus instead), and I only figured out how to improve the view of the planet venus after the photo I posted was taken.
As for the telescope, while I have nothing to compare it to, I’m still beyond impressed, it does everything it has set out to do and then some. My only complaint is that it wobbles quite a bit when touched or knocked but thats probably due to the tripod being rather lightweight since it’s probably more of a travel scope. Still, it’s easy enough to work around and doesn’t bother me too much, weights can be added for more stability after all.
I love how the telescope comes in a carry bag, even the bag is really good quality material, just like everything else and makes it so easy to pack and store away or transport around.

Excellent communication and my partner loves this telescope. This is my first telescope and I am very happy with it, it is very easy to assemble and operate, and comes with a good manual explaining the basics of telescopic observation, the lenses allow for various levels of magnification that make it easy to to find and observe targets, and it’s smartphone adapter is very easy to install so that one can take nice pictures. It also comes with a nice duffel bag for all its components.
My telescope came with the wrong finderscope holder, but the Slokey team was super friendly and immediately sent me the correct holder, which is why I am giving them 5 stars.
Good beginners kit.
Nicely made piece of equipment for a beginners telescope at a reasonable price. Assembly instructions nice and clear but images for mounting findescope confusing – bracket reversed. Setting finderscope up can be fiddly and time consuming but end result worthwhile. Some form of additional height adjustment on the tripod would be useful but realise not possible with the pricing. Now hoping for some clear skies to do some observations.
Good for beginne
We bought this as a beginner to astronomy. It is easy to set up and provides clear views of the moon. The small bag inside is handy for carrying all the smaller parts. The mobile phone attachment provides good photo opportunities but takes a little while to get the hang of. Happy with the purchase.
This is my first telescope and although I have wanted one for a while I don’t know much about them and found the reviews on this one a great help. I have used it a few times when we have actually had a clear night and it is great, easy to use and manoeuvre, all packs away neatly into the provided carry bag and a great quality product. Taken a couple of photos with the phone adaptor too and they came out great. Highly recommend this to anyone who wants to make a start star gazing
Bought this as a first telescope for my husband and myself. Easy to set up with clear instructions. Easy to use. Looking forward to lots of stargazing.
Take your time and thoroughly read instructions.
This was easy to set up for a complete novice as I am.I am enjoying getting to know how to use it.
