I am really enjoying using this telescope to look at the night sky and think it is incredible. The only problem I have is that one of the dial feels a bit flimsy though this could be my fault upon assembly
I was bought the telescope as a birthday present and absolutely love it. Spent last night scanning the moon and was even able to see Saturn’s rings. Set up was easy enough, struggling with the mobile phone adapter which is the only reason I’m not scoring 5 out of 5. Looking forward to clearer winter nights!!!
It’s good for beginers or kids but still you need to learn a bit how to use it. Its easy to carry. Good choice!

Great value at this price. Assembly instructions are easy to follow and took about 15 minutes to assemble. Telescope is quite light-weight and easy to carry/move. I definitely recommend this as a great value telescope for beginners.

I have never owned a telescope and as I now live in a dark sky area, want to make the very best of it. Arrived late this afternoon, weather is rubbish, but assembled easily and now waiting to set up properly tomorrow. Hopefully I can revisit the review with some photos.
Spent a lot of time researching telescopes. This was bought for a 9 year old as a birthday present. Wanted something that was easy to operate but would work for the future. The fact you can add a mobile, change lenses and use for birds, ships (we live on the coast) and planets make it excellent and flexible for multiple uses. I suspect the adults will have as much funs as my granddaughter!

This is a very good telescope for beginners. I found it pretty easy to assemble, you just have to check the parts as some of the knobs/levers are quite similar, but overall the instructions are good enough to help you assemble it. It’s very easy to use and really opens up your view of the night sky.

I’ve been having a blast stargazing ever since I got this telescope weeks ago. As someone who’s always been interested in watching the heavens but never had a telescope before, I wanted one that’s powerful but not confusing. The SOLOMARK 70700 has been perfect for that. I’ve seen some truly breathtaking views of the moon and stars with it, and stargazing is now one of my favorite hobbies.
I love that it’s strong and sturdy while also light and portable, so I can take it to a rooftop terrace or the park very easily.
I also admit, I’m not the best at building stuff. But I’m very thankful the instructions were so clear and the manual was well illustrated so I finished putting my telescope together in less than 20 minutes.
The inclusion of 2 lenses (10mm and 20mm) is also incredible for getting different views of celestial bodies.
I’m really thankful that this is my first telescope, it’s been easy for me to use, and it’s given me a fun and pretty elegant hobby.
By the way, it adds so much character and charm to any room.

This is a very good telescope for beginners, it can be difficult to assemble at times due to the instructions not being 100% clear, but overall they’re good enough to help you assemble it. It’s very easy to use and very good. I’ve looked at Jupiter so far!

EXTREMELY surprised by how easy it was to find things! My wife has found two planets and the moon. The moon is entirely breathtaking, the visual aspect through the scope it’s self is impeccable.

First impressions:
It was very well packed, with all the components individually packaged neatly into one larger box.
It was a little intimidating how many parts there were and how complex it seemed but this also reassured me that this was a decent telescope and following the instructions, it was pretty straight forward.
There are some choices of lenses and I’ve really enjoyed using it. I’ve been using it to look out over the sea and mountains but I haven’t yet used it at night, something I’m looking forward to doing.
It has decent stable and adjustable telescopic legs and is easy to use once set up.

Very pleased with the quality of this telescope – it’s solid, the tripod is good, and nothing about it feels cheap.
We bought it as a Christmas gift for our 5 year old, which is our mistake as really, of course, it’s too technical for this age group – it’s not so much a ‘starter’ telescope as a quality item for an experienced stargazer. That said, the error is more ours than the manufacturer and this is clearly a well made piece of equipment.
I really enjoyed getting this at Xmas. Unfortunately not all the parts were available upon opening however their support team was more then helpful and we got the missing parts ASAP. I appreciate that some mistakes happen during delivery but their customer support and quality of product speaks for itself
I have never owned a telescope before so I do not have much to compare to. I’m very new to astronomy and know next to nothing, but looking at the stars through the telescope is pretty cool, and this definitely does the job. This was bought for me as a Christmas present and I love it, but I do need to understand more on how to use it to the best of its ability, as at the moment I am guessing. Definitely a good telescope for me, as it’s very pretty too. I’ve only used it a few times but can’t wait to get some knowledge and use it a lot more!

A great starter telescope – easy to set up and get some amazing night views
Very easy to assemble and to start using. Looks the part too!
Was ok to set up. Not as straight forward as I would have thought but easy enough. Magnification is great and easy to adjust.
I knew nothing about telescopes and when I opened the box I was initially daunted.
The instructions were really easy to understand and I assembled it within 10 mins.
It’s a very sturdy, well made product. Feels expensive. All fittings were of high quality and give confidence that the telescope is not a piece of cheap tat.
When I had it all set up, the next step was to learn how to focus it and this was probably the hardest part as you really need to understand the trajectory of the tube and lightscope.
I couldn’t see anything and then realised it was pointing too high and at a Misty, foggy sky.
I lowered it to focus on a tree and from that soon had it rotating and tracking objects across the sky.
Really lovely piece of kit, I’ve downloaded a skymap so I can see the constellations and track them across the sky.
Still waiting to get the moon, its been hidden by clouds so far.
The phone attachment is great and I have used it to photo birds and planes across the sky.
Again, awaiting a clear night to capture the moon. Was not expecting to have that accessory included, but there really is everything you need to be up and running within 10-15 mins.

I have just retired and wanted a new hobby as have always been fascinated with astronomy thought I would give this telescope a try first telescope I have ever ordered easy to assemble (although the instructions do not quite relate to the parts in the box assume new parts have been manufactured but not reflected in the instructions yet)
Saying that simple to set up and get working purchased a star chart for the current year and I’m off and running. Really enjoying star going and learning loads. Would definitely recommend this telescope for a beginner.

Just received my Solomark 70700 and so far very impressed.
First of all, very well packaged and when boxes were opened each component seems to be well engineered. Heavy cast aluminium mount, stainless steel tripod which is very sturdy and steel tube which is much more solid than I expected for a product of this price. Haven’t actually used it yet as it is an Xmas gift for my wife but the Plossyl lenses are supposed to be very good and at first glance appear to be top quality being heavy and solid with good rubber eye pieces.
I’m really pleased with this purchase especially as I have just returned a similarly priced telescope which was flimsy and seemed poorly manufactured.
Enjoying trying this out- still waiting for clear skies to study the stars and moon. My new hobby !
What a great piece of kit!
Assembly was pretty straightforward, lining up the sights takes a little time but still relatively simple, and on the first night we saw some pretty awesome dancing orbs up close! We are complete beginners so have yet to figure out what everything is, but it was nice to see something at our first attempt!
Also, it looks pretty cool in the back bedroom 🙂

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Lovely piece of kit, easy to assemble and use. Clear images so far, love the phone adaptor and gonna take my own photos of the impending full moon. The unexpected free gift is just icing on the cake. Love it !
Dropped a star because there is no bag included. Whilst not heavy, it is bulky with the tripod and several pieces, some delicate. Using it does involve moving around house, garden and even taking it away on trips. I did source a good bag but it took a lot of research. Maybe a package with optional bag should be available?
