Looks Nice but not as good as Sims 3
Sims 4 is really fun and looks really nice.
If you played a lot of sims 3 though you might be disappointed with the lack of features since Sims 3 offered so much more in terms of creating you town and making your sims look different.
If you liked sims 2 then think of it as that with modern graphics.

The best game ever created and definitely better than The Sims 3, which had ugly graphics and was quite disappointing. I have been a huge fan of The Sims from the moment I given the original Sims game in 2001.

I got this for my daughter as she wanted to play it. It looks a good game and she is enjoying it. The only problem I have are the constant add-ons which could make this game a very expensive one in the long run.
Teenager ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED. Full functionality and ability to link to origin. Not a gamer myself (except for Asphalt airborne on mobile phone) but, delighted by teenage squeals of joy!

I loved Sims 3 and now I love Sims 4 as well. So much detail and so many options on it. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing this game and find it easy to waste several hours putting together my household, building my house and socializing.

Been playing the Sims series since I was a kid. Me and my girlfriend both play this and we both agree that it is amazing game the only down side is the pricey DLC which at times feels needed after a while to stop the game feeling stale if you can look past paying for the extra DLC this is an amazing game. But evening saying that this is still a great game no question!

Bought this for my 12 year old daughter and she loves it. If, like her, you use a laptop with no optical drive (dvd drive etc) never fear as we dowloaded the game online from EA (Origin website) and inputted the game code included with the game disc. Purchasing this online via.direct download would be cheaper but we needed a physical copy as it was a Christmas gift.

Arrived as promised. Very easy to install. It was a present for my great grandson and he enjoys it very much.
Ordered it a week ago and two days after ordering it was dispatched and then delivered the very next day which I was very impressed and pleased with. The graphics in the game are much better than The Sims 3 and the Create A Sim is much better as you can do more adjustments to your Sim. I like the already built rooms you can purchase in build mode which makes it easier then spending an hour trying to make a house. Overall I the game is great and really enjoying playing it.

What a brilliant game. I absolutely love the sims games. They are getting better and better. I was a little worried as I’m not a computer expert by any stretch and was worried it wouldn’t work as well as my laptop isn’t the newest but it works perfect. OMG, I was really reluctant to replace my much loved Sims3 and I have been playing the Sims since 1 first came out but 4 is definitely my favourite. No counter intuitive design issues, no glitching ( so far), I absolutely love it as my partner will testify since he hasn’t seen me since I bought it a week ago. Can you say Divorce Courts?
I couldn’t load this from the disc so ended up having to download it. Almost immediately I got a message telling me I needed to upgrade my operating system or I’d miss out on certain features on the Origin website, however this wouldn’t affect game play.
So far I’m really enjoying it. I love the create a sim section (always my favourite part). I miss the ability to change colours of everything but that’s a tiny thing compared to how you can pull the face & body about to change their shape & look. I never really liked the look of the sims 3 characters and these are much better.
I love that they can now multi-task. So if you queue tasks like make breakfast, watch TV, they’ll get their breakfast then eat it in front of the TV. Also directing communication between sims is much better – while they are eating, you can get them to get to know each other or discuss interests .
I don’t find having to log in to Origin in order to play a problem, although it will be annoying if I lose internet connection for any reason.
I was dubious about buying this after reading the reviews. I’ve barely scratched the surface of game play yet, but so far I don’t regret finally giving in 😀

A few bugs here and there and I had to repair the game about a week after I got it due to cache issues. However, mostly the game runs well on my machine.
If you were disappointed by 3 but love the create a sim feature then this is for you. Emotions make it delightfully new compared to sims 2 and the game play is smooth. Actions such as cooking and throwing something away take an irritatingly long time but overall amazing.

Wife really likes it, although says it’s not quite as comprehensive as Sims 3. One excellent thing is that if you’ve bought the PC version, you can redeem the Mac version on Origin. The Mac version is a LOT less buggy than the PC version, as apparently it was coded again, rather than ported quickly.

As described by the seller. Great game…..my daughter really likes it. A lot more to it than the previous game of Sims.
I think I’ll always be a devotee of The Sims 2, but this one isn’t bad once you get the hang of gameplay. I find this one easier to stop playing and put down, it isn’t as addictive. (Probably a good thing!) Graphics are great, and in many ways you get more freedom in designing sims and homes, but in other ways, I find it limiting and a bit predictable.

Brought for my daughter who absolutely loves it, completely different from sims 3 so takes a bit of getting use to but great once you do
Have loved the sims since I was a kid. I prefer this game to the sims 3, it’s much more addictive. It’s clear they’ve put a lot of thought into making the game smoother and less fiddly when it comes to CAS and build mode. It’s interesting how they’ve changed how social stuff works as well, but I miss the way wishes used to work not so keen on how they’ve changed it.

I’m only giving this 4* because as most other people have been saying, “it’s lacking content” and it is. I waited a long time in hope it would be released for the console platform as the other Sims did, unfortunately it still hasn’t, nevertheless, the ‘create a sim’ is outstanding, I’ve had lots of fun creating Sims and downloading CC, building is also a really nice feature although surrounding area is very limited which is disappointing. All games have their pros and cons but overall I would say this game is worth purchasing as there as still new features and content to explore, especially if you’re a Sims fan!
Hopefully for future Sims I would like to see; online features – somewhat co-op / servers to play in the same world and interact with other peoples Sims etc. and more skin details.
I love The Sims, mostly when I’m building new houses and decorating them. A must for all Sims fans. I’m waiting for an ikea or only furniture expansion in this one.

Fun for a few hours, but interest lost quickly
The “create a sim” is defiantly a lot better then the sims 3, but the graphics of the game are very cartoonish (can be good or bad depending on what you prefer).
I am a big fan of the sims 3 and have set up a Facebook page showing off my edits of in-game screenshots (Harpwood Equestrian Center).
I purchased sims 4 as I wanted to try it out for myself after reading very mixed reviews, and watching DanAndPhilGAMES, Markiplier, and Jacksepticeye play the game. I had some issues with installing, when you first open the game to play, an “EA log in/registration” window pops up, sadly it took me most of the day to try and log in thanks to the servers being down?
Anyway, after finally getting into the game and creating my sim, I happily spent a few hours exploring the different features of the game, like going into space etc. It is definitely a good game, however without the expensive expansion packs, it gets quite boring as you can’t “ex

Grand-daughter (16yr) requested it for Christmas. She is delighted with it. Have to say that the whole product has improved drastically since I first saw the game a few years ago.
I am in love with The Sims series as a whole however this game felt incomplete as I was playing through it, I miss the interactions being prompt to when you set them instead of your Sims doing their own thing meaning you have to wait for them to finish or cancel the task, making it completely useless. The installation process was fairly simple with a couple tries opening Disk 1 with no luck I finally managed to crack it and am now successfully playing with the Rosevelt family. Thank you Electronic Arts.

I’m loving Sims 4! I personally was not keen on Sims 3 – it seemed to complex, but I think Sims 4 is an improved version of Sims 2 which is great! Build mode is so simple and lets you create whole rooms in one click! I am looking forward to the expansion packs!

Very happy with this item as I ordered in on Wednesday and it said it should get to me by the Saturday, but instead it come the following day which I was very pleased with, also it didn’t take long to download. I would defferntley recommend this to anyone which is a lover on sims, the graphics on sims 4 fare amazing better then any of the other sims game.

I bought this as part of my granddaughters` ninth birthday present. She has the 3rd edition of The Sims and always plays on it both at our house and at home. She was thrilled with it and has already loaded it into our laptop.
Great game but minor issues
I have loved Sims ever since and in general it is a very enjoyable game. However unfortunately the emotions aspect added into Sims 4 does not really play a huge role in anything (mostly only unlocks new interactions) and although the whole world is not loaded at one time like Sims 3, which does reduce lag, it’s frustrating how you have to load houses and other lots within the small area. Having a baby grow straight to a child is also a bit strange and takes away from the people who enjoy playing families so I’m hoping toddlers are added in soon.

This standard edition works on a Mac. Bought this for my daughter’s birthday hoping it would be ok on our mac . You download Origin (easy) and once done you enter the code that is printed on the paper insert in the box and it downloads. Job done. My daughter doesn’t normally have to open up origin to play, the icon for sims is on the screen and she just clicks on that. She enjoys the game.

Other than the things that they missed out from sims 3, it’s a really great game. I use it on my mac retina display so it does make a sound when I’m playing it but not too loud that it destroys the gaming experience. Good buy for the price.

I found it a lot different to all other Sims products, great graphics etc, but I had to uninstall it due to a computer malfunction and now it won`t reinstall. If you have any advice on this problem it would be most helpful.

Love it! in my opinion they have taken the best of all the past sims and put them in one and got rid of all the stuff that just slows it down. I nearly didn’t buy it because of all the bad reviews but so glad I did.
Brilliant game they’ve improved quite alot. The town is small and when you teleport it takes a while to load but it’s early days yet but still loads you can do on there.
