Sicher ans Ziel
Ein sehr gut zu bedienendes Navigations Gert, mit einer sehr guten Spracherkennung und klaren Ansagen. Nimmt Telefonate entgegen, eine genaue Stau Ansage. Durch die Touchscreen Funktion einfach zu bedienen.

Bin zufriede
Wurde als Ersatz fr mein Becker-Navi gekauft. Passt auf die Brodit-Halterung. Leider kann die Warnung bei Geschwindigkeitsberschreitung nicht variiert werden (ich bevorzuge 10 km/h). Die Geschwindigkeit wird z.B. bei 80 km/h um 6-8 km/h geringer angezeigt als vom Tacho. Die Ansagen zu Abfahrten usw. werden rechtzeitig mitgeteilt, was recht angenehm ist.
Bigger screen helps
iPhone and Google maps are great but iPhone not big enough for my eyes when driving. This is my second Tom Tom satnav. I don’t intend to update my car just to have a satellite navigation built in. This is also easy to update the maps. No regrets

Nicht wirklich perfek
Bei der Spracherkennung muss man eine gefhlte kleine Ewigkeit warten, bis man zu sprechen anfangen kann, das ist ein bisschen nervig. Aber trotz relativ deutlicher Aussprache in vllig ruhiger Umgebung hatte das Gert groe Probleme, die Befehle richtig zu verstehen. Da ging die Eingabe ber Tastatur dann doch erheblich schneller.
Und wie ich im Inneren eines defekten Tomtoms
(gleiches Modell) sehen konnte, hlt die Mikro-USB-Buchse nur an den Ltpunkten auf der Platine. Eine stabile Befestigung der Buchse fehlt. Das kann langfristig zum Abbrechen der Buchse fhren. Stabil ist so eine Konstruktion nicht.
Alles andere ist ok, das Display reagiert so, wie man es erwarten darf. Die Navigation ist so wie immer bei TomTom.

Einstellung “Autobahn meiden” ist nicht mglich. Fr Oldtimerfahrten somit nur befriedigend einsetzbar.

Having had a TomTom Via 135 this is an upgrade, though I find its more complicated to put in route planning. You have to use the Mydrive app or do it on a computer. Also adding my places (Favorites on the Via 135 ) is more involved, as is accessing the POI’s. I will carry on using it, but for quick use the Via is bette

Bought this to replace my older Tom Tom on which the roads were way out of date. I bought the 6 inch model and I am glad that I did because when its positioned on the windscreen some way away its easier to read. This particular model has the capacitive screen which is far superior to other TomTom models which have the resistive screen, meaning that its similar to smartphones and more responsive to finger movements. On the downside I didnt like the maps , when the route is chosen the road numbers are sparse and hard to read if any, and these are shown by name ie. London North Circular, and not A406.
None of the road numbers are easily read, my old model was much better at this.
The points of interest just show electric charging points.
Having said all of this, the screen is bright and clear and manages to keep up with the cars movement, and if you can forgive the minuses, its a good sat nav.

I can’t see anything that’s not right with this Tom Tom. Excellent product.
Worlds away
This go essential is world’s away from my go 720 it replaces.
Great clear instructions (both verbally and on screen).
Voice control not always so good, but that may be my local accent.
Great upgrade from old unit.
I do recommend this unit.
To top it off, it was half the price of a go 720 bought in 2007
NO ALL THINGS GO UP IN PRICE!
