    Pros:
    – fast and even heating
    – stylish, looks good in the kitchen
    Cons:
    – clock is difficult to set up though menu
    – clock lags behind the real time for a few minutes every week

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWorks and looks great. But clock is not accurate.
It saddens me to not give this microwave 5 stars, because it looks fantastic and it heats up food great. It’s buttons are intuitive to use and you can easily reduce the power level with a dial when you want to avoid explosions (looking at you, chickpeas). However, the clock on the mini-screen is TERRIBLE. It falls behind by about one minute every week. I’ve never seen a digital clock that is so inaccurate. It’s annoying to have to adjust it every week. It’s also annoying to let it slide and have the different clocks in the house out of sync.

It looks pleasing on the eye and goes well in my kitchen. It works very well and is easy to use. What I don’t like is the noise that has developed after 2 months. At first the noise level was typical to previous microwaves I’ve had, but now it sounds like a mini road drill. It is so loud, I have tried moving it but it’s the same in any location. One further thing I did not expect was the inside light staying on until the door is shut. All other microwaves I have had, the light switches off after the cooking cycle. I have always left the door open after cooking to allow the microwave to cool down and dry out, now the light is on.

I am so inlove with my microwave, it’s sleek, great with heating food and one of the best things about is how it doesn’t have that annoying microwave sound at the end of heating up, but a unique peep peep sound. I love it, it’s so smooth and quiet when running, it also beeps a reminder when you might have forgotten to take your food out.

Great microwave, just wrong shade of red to rest of kitchen!
Ordered this microwave off of Groupon initially, only they sent it in cream and I sent it back and reordered and they sent cream again! I then decided to opt for Amazon and thankfully got it in red but it is more of a deep red than the tomato red my fridge/freezer and all my other appliances are, it is not a major deal but but disappointed as it looks like their kettles and toasters are a more tomato red so you think they’d have the microwave be the same shade of red. But overall it is a good microwave, and the important thing is, it works!

    Nice powerful microwave
It’s been a long time since I bought a microwave, and what a difference this is! It looks very smart and modern (a far cry from my old decrepit one), sleek and expensive looking. It’s a good size for most things (20L) and thus doesn’t take up much room on your worktop.

It’s very easily set up with decent instructions and its six power level options are more than enough to cover any kind of food you’d want to heat/cook. Like most even cheaper microwaves these days this Tower comes with a few auto-cook options too, which I’ve had some success with and are easy to initiate once you’ve had a good look at the instructions and most importantly have gotten used to them through… well, usage!

All in all I really do like this. It’s not overly expensive, but looks every bit as top class as the much more expensive makes and thus far has shown itself to be a powerful, strong microwave oven which I think will last a good amount of time.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersA good low price microwave ove
Because microwave ovens never seem last that long I have owned quite a few over the years. We never buy the expensive ones, usually sticking to models in the mid to lower price range. Perhaps that’s where we are going wrong, maybe if we bought an expensive one it may last longer than a couple of years. This Tower microwave most definitely falls into the lower end of the price spectrum and I can only really describe it has being average, i.e. it is nothing special but it does everything that is asked of it.
We have a small kitchen with limited worktop space and this is ideal for us; it replaces one which was too small and we have found the extra capacity (20 litres or fits a standard dinner plate, which is probably a more useful guide to its size) to be fairly welcome. It looks okay, ours is black which is fine, but cream and silver ones are also available as well as a snazzy looking red one. It offers six power levels and eight auto cook options and once learned programming is reasonably straight forward, but we needed to consult the instructions first as we were unable to work them out intuitively. Tellingly it has a three year warranty which shows that Tower have every confidence in its longevity. As we now never had a microwave that lasted so long it will be interesting to put this to the test.

    Needed a good cheap Microwave.
Despite being only 800w this thing does everything my old Panasonic oven did(which was 3 years old).
This Tower unit seems very sturdy and does not move when i pull the door open.

My use is mainly to heat milk and some microwave meals. It manages these talks with ease.
It does take longer to heat than my old Panasonic 900w, but that’s to be expected.
I can fit a full size plate inside . Overall I’m happy with the purchase.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat microwave that also looks good.
Great looking microwave in a metallic red colour, this looks great on our kitchen worktop and matches our blinds and curtains.

This Tower microwave is a nice size for us and sits in the corner of our worktop without taking up too much space but is big enough for our needs (3 people), you can fit an average dinner plate inside the unit without problem. This microwave is 800 watts (E rating).

The menu/time settings are easy to use, there are 8 presets for cooking milk/coffee, rice, spaghetti, potatoes, auto reheat, fish, pizza, popcorn, these are all cooked by weight. The microwave is also very easy to use just by turning the control dial and selecting a time, this is done in 30 increments. Power level on the oven is also easily adjusted. An interesting feature of this microwave is the ability to start a cooking program at a later time, again it is not difficult to use and is very useful. This oven is very quiet in operation compared to our old Sharp unit.

This oven has a simple LED display that is easily readable in bright light or dull light, there is also a light inside the oven.

Build quality looks fine and I like the design with the mirrored door finish and metallic paint job, also there is just a simple pull handle which I find is much better than the push button type.

Tower also supply a 3 years Guarantee if you register the product within 28 days of purchase.

A great little microwave that is suitable for a small family or individual.

    5 stars.

Decent little microwave, perfectly suitable for a small house or individual
Nothing wrong with this microwave. Does the job beautifully. It is only 800 watts, so there are more powerful ones out there. The gaudy red colour is very bright-you’ll either love it or hate it, but it’s not subtle. All a matter of taste. It’s not the largest capacity either, so again better suited for a small family or individual. So…if you are on your own and want a decent microwave which will do the job at a reasonable price, this is the one for you! if you need a more powerful, larger one, you might need to look elsewhere. But there is nothing wrong with this at all. It works well. Recommended, but only if the colour, size and power are right for your needs.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersReally pleased with it.
Really great price currently at around sixty quid, this is pretty competitive for a similarly specced machine. The machine is mid sized in my book. It will hold a dinner plate (Ikea bog standard sized) and my middle sized Pyrex.

I’ve had a huge microwave previously and never used it to capacity, so for me, an 800w mid sizer, with a pretty small footprint is ideal for my needs (We basically use it to melt ice cream, heat cold coffee and occasionally cook veg…).

I think this looks nice. The red is a really nice metallic shade and I like the overall design. No problem to clean… just wipe, it has some sort of special coating.

All up, good looks, more than I need in terms of spec and a good price. I’m really pleased with it.

This is a pretty average microwave, but that is probably what most people need at home. 800W power and it takes an Ikea 365 dinner plate, just. Has a few more controls than most of us would actually use (I just need defrost and high power) but is easy to use after reading the instructions. Looks good in black with a mirror finish to the door, this can be cleaned easily with a microfibre cloth. Good value at current selling price of 60, but I would not want to pay any more for a microwave.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersSmart and convenie
This smart and generally convenient MEDIUM-SIZED microwave cooker is big enough and powerful enough for most domestic purposes. What a pity, though, that it is advertised as large and powerful. That brings out the worst in me, because with a turntable diameter of only 24cm (9.5 inches), it is far from large, and 800 watts is well short of the 900/1000 watt big league. And by big league I refer only to microwave cookers for domestic use, not commercial.

It is of the long-standing magnetron type (tried and tested, you could say), not the more modern inverter type — which I am told by an engineer friend is better, though I haven’t noted a difference in practical use.

Moving to the plus points, it is half the price of the somewhat bigger Panasonic inverter types and, as I say, very smart — smarter than on most of the photographs on this page. (The mirror-finish door reflects what is in front of it in your kitchen, which in most cases won’t be the bland silver of the photographs above. When the cooker is working, you can see through the door into the oven.)

Mine is black on the outside — red, silver and cream are also available — and there are Tower toasters and kettles that match. The inside has a grey enamel finish.

That 24cm turntable will accommodate a 26cm (10.25 inch) dinner plate, or a sloping-sided Pyrex casserole with a 28.5cm (11.25 inch) diameter at the top. That last item is about the cooker’s limit, however, so definitely medium-sized, not large.

Use of the cooker is fairly straightforward, especially at the simple re-heating or quick cooking levels — e.g. a 3 minute porridge. The quick start feature, where the start button is pressed for 30 second increments at full power, is especially handy. The auto cook menu is a bit limited — only 8 options — but at least they include jacket potatoes, which it cooks well, providing you know their weight.

The time at which the cooker will turn itself on can be pre-programmed, but if the timer can be linked to anything more sophisticated than a set number of minutes at full power, I haven’t found out how.

There are in effect five power levels, 100 per cent, 80 per cent, 60 per cent, 40 per cent and 20 per cent of the full 800 watt power. A sixth is zero per cent — all you get is the light and the fan!

A multi-stage programme, such as 3 minutes at 80 per cent boosted with 30 seconds on full power, is possible.

The cooker is easy to keep clean, inside and out. For cleaning the inside you can heat a jug or basin of water for a while, allow the steam to condense and then wipe the whole inside of the cooker. However, my tip is to give the inside of the cooker a good wipe around, first with a damp cloth, then a dry one, after cooking jacket potatoes — they lose so much moisture there is no need to go through the business of specifically cooking a bowl of water.

The basic warranty period is one year. If you register your product online, that is extended to three years.

If you are looking for a family sized well powered Micro wave then this Tower T24019 Infinity Digital Solo Microwave ticks all the boxes.

It does everything you want in a family sized microwave and more.
I say, family sized because the microwave takes the largest of my family sized plates with room to spare.
Past, bitter experience of having to manage a small capacity sized oven has taught me that lesson.
It ticks that box and passes with flying colours.

All the usual functions are there including the automatic cooking guides for meat and various others- something I confess I have never used but it is there if you require it.

It’s a generous 20 Litre capacity so big enough for most families unless you have a penchant for roasting a full Ox in which case what do you need a microwave for?

Seriously it is a well functioned decent sized microwave and dare I say good looking?

The Infinity design brand label means it matches up with all the other Tower brand merchandise but it does look rather good in most kitchen settings with that mirror finish door.

The performance is good too with an 800 Watt power output that is easily controlled via the large easy to use knobs and dials.

The price, at the time of writing, is brilliant at around 60.
That is par for the size and performance for microwaves of this quality.
They are all around the same price so the extra size, power and the good looks makes this one worth the couple of pounds more than the others.
The clincher for me is just how easy it is to keep clean.
I recall paying well over 300 for a similar device back in the 1980s.
Other interesting points are it is remarkably easy to keep clean.
It has a special coating that enables you to use a disposable dish wipe for a quick and simple wash down.
That is the trick to maintaing a clean microwave. Clean it often and always when there is a spill and it will come up shiny and bright.

    All in all?

A well priced, high performance, generous family sized microwave with a long guarantee.

    Recommended.
