Quality plastics here. These are absolutely fir for purpose and whilst not cheap, will give you confidence on the new wall you build (re kids). Easy to install I would have given 5 stars but I think they are a teeny bit pricey

Easy to fit and are really strong when in place. They can easily support even an adult’s weight within reason.

Works really great as a starter set for rock climbing and is especially designed for use for kids and makes a wall look much more fun and be the envy of other kids/parents. The colourful designs are nice and easy to install.

We love this set of climbing handholds! Perfect either for creating your own climbing space or for transforming existing equipment, the good quality materials, robust fixings and bright colours make them perfect for the job!

These climbing holds look really good and are very sturdy. They seem very durable. They look really easy to install on a wooden frame, and will look great once I can find the time to make a small climbing wall for my 2 year old. They have 2 screw holes each, which gives a more secure feeling. The shapes are suitable for little hands, and the texture gives a good grip. I would recommend these

Good quality product, the colours I received don’t quite match on the picture however… I was hoping for the deep colour purple but when arrived they were pink.

These Climbing Holds are great for kids they are small but resistant and very solid.
They look really well made to me and come with everything necessary to place it and the screws are in good quality too.
The colors are beautiful, and they are corrosion resistant so they must be durable and the color should stay. The presentation is very good too and they are a great gift idea too.

My set was the 5 holds which is enough for a few feet up on their own or like we did to extend our existing holds sideways a few feet for our 2 year old to use going sideways instead of up.

They have two screw holes on these and are wider than the single hole holds which is better for getting your hand over and gripping.
They have a good anti slip texture which works when they get a bit wet outside or haven’t dried off from the night.

The colours are good and bright and they can easily hold an adult let alone a child, depending of course what they’re attached to. Some good solid board that’s been treated then sealed again is needed so the wet doesn’t get into the wood and make them loose. I always use my own weight on each hold every few weeks to check they are still strong.

Good grips, non distinguishable in quality from the others we have at a similar price.

I use these outside, they are bolted to a wooden structure. the construction is fine, not as grippy as some I have tried but that’s not a bad thing.
The kit had 5 holds all in different bright colours. Two pairs of the same design and a single. Each hold has two bolts (set screw Hex head) for fixing.
The bolts were a little short for my wall (2″ + facing) but it was no big deal getting longer bolts from the local hardware shop.
The holds can be mounted in any orientation and the have grip all round, they are not too juggy but have a good amount to hold on to.
The wall we have is for exercise rather than for extreme climbing skill and the kids can use it without any issues.
These are great for what we use them for and the work well

Really cheap for what you get. No nonsense packaging but everything you need.

I’ve attached it to 18mm plywood that I’ve drilled holes in.

Holds are hard and robust. Good texture, Gives the ability to hold in a variety of angles.

Colour is build into the plastic and not just a coat of paint over the top.

    Nice buy

This is a professional well made and designed climbing hold for a wall correctly made and constructed. This comes with the right securing bolts and washers / bushells to ensure it is strong and sturdy. 440lbs which is over 31 stone is the weight bearing capability of these; which is very impressive indeed. I actually like the anti-slip texture so these can be used not just vertical mounted but also on slab forms and even overhangs. The idea of this kit is to give you a few tryout for kids and create a low wall of 5 or 10 holds. (Or more with multiple kits). Easy to install. Easy to move… easy to change. Overall this is a great kit that the grips can be wiped and sterilised easilly too. Highly recommended, Andrew

This product arrived nicely packaged. The climbing holds appear to be of good quality material, and they are bright and cheerful. The set comes with everything needed to attach the blocks to a wall or outdoor playset.
This set is currently 15.99, which for 5 pieces seems to be a lot, however, these holds appear to generally be set at quite a high price which I’m not particularly keen on; I’ve marked it down for this reason alone.

I have built a few climbing was over the years using these type of items. I can see these are well made and should last for years. It is a comprehensive kit, with everything you need, except a drill and a wooden wall.
I would say you need at least the “10” set to construct a challenging climb.
My tips. Always supervise your kids when using these. Always have a softish surface to fall onto, rubber mats are idea, but even grass is better than nothing. Ensure the wall is strong enough, while your kids might not be heavy, some daft drunk adult is sure to try your climbing wall. When making your wall put extra holes in, so you can move the grips about to vary the fun. Additional pronged T nuts are readily available.

Great value holds with everything you need to fit them except the board and the drill.

Slight texture, which in a high use environment, I suspect will wear off, but in a home environment, I expect them to last a long time.

This is a small collection of 5 climbing holds – not really enough for a climbing wall, but perfect for our purposes of having a novel way to get into a tree house.

The quality seems good, the fixings are easy to use, and they feel very sturdy when attached.

The classic set of grips for children’s climbing. The plastic is of a good standard, the grips are of a different colour and are very easy to install.
    The dimensions are adequate.

A great selection of climbing holds. Boxed and packaged well so no damage upon receipt. The shapes and colours are appealing. They are easy to fix. We’ve used decking boards clamped together on the reverse and made a climbing ramp with them. Great fun to be had. Good value. Solid product. Would recommend.

    Great for the garde

We have some of these that tie around a tree so already knew the holds themselves were great quality. Included in this set were 5 climbing holds (we has red, yellow, orange, pink and blue) and the complete fixings for these- bolts, washers, weld nuts (nuts with spiky bits for extra grip) and an allen key to tighten the bolts. They were very easy to fit. Each grip can be placed in two different positions as there is no top or bottom. This set only includes 5 grips and they should be placed roughly every 12-18 inches so given you need some on right and left you wont get much coverage from this.

This is a comprehensive set with all the fittings needed to attach the holds to any surface. Having only five holds is a bit restrictive but it is going to be used with nursery kids so given that the kids will require supervision and maybe a bit of help then maybe that no is sufficient. I thought it was very pricey for what it is.

    Climbing holds.

I was sent these in return for my honest opinion on them.

I thought these looked fab to add to our garden wall but having received them, I now realise that they need to be added to material, that is no thicker than 1″, allowing you to use the weld nuts at the back! So that was unfortunate but I do still think they seem quite decent.

You get 5 climbing holds in this pack. These are nice and brightly coloured, in red, blue, orange, yellow and pink. Each one is obscure in shape, has a gripped texture and somewhere to grip and grab a hold of.

    These range in size from around 11cm x 8cm x 3.5cm, up to 11cm x 9cm x 4cm.

I would recommend these. They do seem, strong, sturdy and durable. You have the head bolts, weld nuts and washers provided. Could be fun for a small playground, garden etc. Seem good for the price.

    Not bad for the price

A set to go with climbing holds we had previously. Comes together in a cardboard box. You get 5 chunky brightly coloured climbing holds, 20 flat washers, 10 bolts, 10 weld nuts and an Allen key. The climbing holds are a real good size, they differ slightly in shape and size, but are roughly 3-4 inches in height and 4 inches in diameter. They are brightly coloured, each if a different colour and made from a sturdy plastic. No rough or sharp edges so perfect for small hands to grab onto. They have a textured surface to them, to help give a better grip. Each one has 2 pre molded holes in, ready to put the bolts through and attach it to your climbing walls/towers. The screws are 2 inches in length, so the board cant be overly thick as you need to put the nuts on the end to make them safe and secure. Using these encourages children to climb, helping to improve and work on their balance, flexibility and endurance. They look and feel of excellent quality. A solid and secure set. Comes with everything you need. As only 5 is included its ideal to add on to any additional builds/sets you have, as 5 doesnt cover alot of surface area. Still a great set which doesnt disappoint.

These are brilliant. I fixed them to a piece of plywood and screwed it above a doorframe, and it’s the perfect height to practice finger holds. These are solid and robust and just like ones at the climbing centre.

    Trymaker Climbing Holds

The Tymaker climbing holds are a charming addition to any indoor or outdoor gym in eye-catching primary and secondary colors. They come with a manual and are easy to install as long as you have a drill and the wood you’re going to attach the holds onto.

I think it’s best to prepare the wood – sanding, and varnishing – before attaching the grips, ensuring there aren’t any cracks, especially since children will be climbing it. It is safer not to be forceful when turning the screws. This set is the same good quality resources I’ve seen in gyms. 5 pcs may not be enough for a good fun activity.

This pack of 5 wall climbing grips comes with everything you need to securely attach them, and they are very well made.
Each grip has a cool unique shape, and you can put it round so many ways that it gives loads of choice for a climbing hold. They are made from super strong plastic with a design that can hold huge amounts of weight and can be used by kids and adults. Plus, they bright colours make them fun and easy to identify plus will be good in any weather conditions.
The anchors for them are super strong and perfect for going through wood with a gripper style nut on the back side to ensure they don’t slip or move while climbing.
Overall, I am very impressed with them and at 15.99 they are good value for money and I will get some more soon.

good solid grips with great fixings included

The climbing holds are made from a solid, strong plastic. They come in a really nice range of vivid child friendly colours that will make a really nice looking climbing wall in the garden. We haven’t assembled it yet so can’t comment on longevity and colour fastness when outside but they seem very sturdy and all the bolts look strong and suitable to hold the weight when attached. The bolts are two inch and the nuts have the serrated edge to hold securely. This will work well for us as we are attaching to a piece of wood to create a small climbing wall going up to a playhouse. I don’t know if these would be suitable to attach to a wall in situ where you couldn’t attach the nuts to the back of the bolts. The instructions for assembly are basic and clearly translated from another language as there are spelling and grammar errors but if you have some understanding of basic diy it is pretty obvious how to assemble without the need for instruction. One thing I would have appreciated a bit more in the leaflet isan induction of the best pattern to put the holds in. It says to place them 12-18 inches in a consistent pattern but no indication of what sort of pattern. Again, this isn’t the end of the world as we will plan it out ourselves and base it on our little boys capabilities. Overall I’m very happy with this as a product and excited to set it up in the garden and imagine it is going to get a lot of use. Like I said, we haven’t assembled it yet but the little hands had a go to see if they’d be suitable and they’re looking like they’ll be just right! This arrives in a small but sturdy cardboard box measuring 15cm x 15.5cm x 17.5cm.

I got this to add to a set of 20 as part of a dedicated climbing wall for kids to play on, but if you were planning on using these at home the set of 5 would be just right for a novel way to climb into a top bunk or similar in a childs room or up the side of a sturdy Wendy House.
They are brightly coloured & look really inviting when set up.

You need the following items in order to complete fixing this set:
A drill & a 3/8″ drill bit, a tape measure & safety glasses along with a prepared area to fix the holds to.

Fixing them is really straightforward – just mark out where you want to place each hold – the instructions advise you place these approx 30cm-45cm apart in a relatively even pattern – drill the holes then attach the handholds to the front using the included fixings.

Make sure you fix them securely & ideally check again weekly for the first month as sometimes a fixing can come loose.

These climbing holds are rated to take up to 199 kilos in weight, they have a slightly textured surface making the holds easy to grip & are made of a sturdy weatherproof plastic so are suitable to use indoors or out.

These are great fun for kids & encourage independent play while getting kids outside into the fresh air (if fitted outside although you could have this indoors if you chose) & engaged in active play.
Climbing requires making decisions (which handhold to pick next, can I reach it easily, where do I put my foot etc..) & improves hand grip strength along with manual dexterity.

Definitely something that gets kids away from screens & engaging with physical activities.
    Highly recommended.

You can buy additional sets of these to create a larger climbing area (they are sold in multiples of 5) or add a rope ladder so this is something that can be built up over time if catering to groups of children.
