Arrived in a good quality box and lots of good documentation. I was looking for an unobtrusive camera with good picture quality that fitted discretely at the top of the screen, and could just be left alone.
In my Skoda Kodiaq, the sun visors get in the way of the rear facing camera, so I don’t use that. So many cars these days have a massive sensor array around the rear view mirror, so a good position could be a problem. The power cable was a molded 12v plug type, which I couldn’t use as it interferes with a sliding cover, USB would be better these days. SD card has to be removed to download the videos, or connect to a pc but that’s fine for me, but you obviously need a pc which not every one has these days.
Loads of settings, pretty straight forward here, some need a permanent power supply, my 12v supply remains on all the time and it doesn’t seem to flatten the battery
Within 2 days, 2 idiot drivers nearly wiped me and 3 grandkids out going through a red light. Footage was uploaded to the police data base and I’ve been advised action is to be taken against them. I don’t dob in innocent errors or misreading a situation, we’ve all done it, but some people really need to give their heads a wobble. Footage is best viewed on Vantrue software, where a map, gps data etc are shown very clearly.
Overall, so far, its been good. I also think it makes me a safer driver, If I intend to use the footage I cant be at fault for a situatio

First time trying the vantrue brand. I’ve previously used nextbase for as long as I can remember. Was really impressed with the picture quality and ease of use although I would have preffered a touch screen experience via the display. The suction cup is good and plenty of cable to wire to the cigarette socket.
Make sure yoy buy a good decent memory card as recommended by the manufacturer.
I’d long been after a decent 4K dash cam but wanted something quick to get installed and up running with great video. After many hours of reading reviews, there’s such a vast number of dash cams out there m, it’s quite a task to find the right one for you. I got to the one that ticked all the boxes, took me 20 mins to route the cable under the roof liner, down the door seal, under the passenger side dash and into the lighter socket, it even has a usb in power plug, so 2 for 1. Set up was very quick and best of all I can easily remove the dash cam from the car. The rear cabin view gives a good view of the rear which I wanted but without needing to install a separate rear camera. Really great piece of kit.
I needed a camera with a secondary rear camera which had to be attached to the main one to be useable in my MX5/Miata. The Vantrue works well for this, although is larger than I would have liked.
Easy to fit, just a single power cable to run.
Has stuck fast despite enthusiastic driving on British roads. Easy to unclip to prevent theft.
Buy a decent “high endurance” card for maximum reliability.
Bad bit- the so called suction cup that comes with it has ZERO sticking power to hold the unit let alone the cam. I had to use 3M tape to help me with it and not sure it’s completely faultless. I imagine it coming off at some point. The cup itself looks good but the suction is terrible. Use the rough bit of the windshield that the rear view sits in to help with traction of the 3m.
The dashcam is OK. Quality is acceptable. The menu doesn’t give you much option like turn off the screen or choosing which cam to be shown. I wanted to turn of the screen for the cabin cam but it records normally. It was not possible. So I have to watch myself all the time while driving. Also the software for pc has to be downloaded correctly otherwise can’t be find or installed.
I initially bought this product 4 months ago it is a great piece of kit dual camera, high quality images, the camera worked exceptionally well but due to a technical issue I contacted the customer service and after a few emails and tests they were able to narrow the problem down to a faulty g sensor they replaced the unit and I’m back to having piece of mind with my camera installed, I would definitely recommend vantrue for both their products and their customer support.
Good no frills camera, it does what its supposed to. It has great picture quality and easy to use.
If I was to provide positive criticism, the fixing unit is quite large, and quite difficult to locate on the to windscreen avoiding major zones of (vision). The geo shock is very sensitive and saves ‘events’ when you go around bends (I’m a driving instructor so my bends are careful). I would like to see an app with this product where you can view your footage on a mobile device.
Overall though, it’s good quality and you get what you pay for.
A good quality product in terms of build and camera. Very intuitive setup. Does not have a proprietary viewing app but easy to install a generic one.

I’ve only had this for one day but already impressed with the quality. Bought this camera for that awsome aperture which makes night filming so great. Only downside there’s no 60 fps but still managed to get a clear picture of a number plate at night. And that’s all I need grom a dash cam. To remove it from the mount is a bit of a struggle which is a big bummer for me. But if you keep the camera in one car shouldn’t be a issues for others.
The only tricky part was working out which way the memory card housed. Otherwise formatting and fixing to the screen and operating is great. Picture quality during the day great, not so at nights. I believe these days one of these is a must, makes one a better driver and gives confidence in case of accident and fault blaming should be a thing of the past. Anyway advoid accidents at all costs and don’t let the red mist in … it’s all recorded.
The picture quality is especially good when driving into sunlight. The field of view is pretty good too. The menus are easy to understand. The only additional feature I would like is the ability to have the camera screen off all the time. You can set it to 30 second time out but that’s as close as you can get it. I watched a number of dashcam review on youtube before deciding on this product. Also cable length and cable quality are good too. The cigarette lighter attachment is a nice solid fit and you get a usb port too. I did buy the extra cable set and wired it into my fusebox. That was 20 quid. It took me days to get around to do it, then I installed it in 5 mins !
Well made works out of the box but you need to buy a storage chip
Really like this dashcam as its compact and produces good results. have been using it for a couple of years and the only problem i have is the suction cup has lost is adhesive capability on the windscreen . Vantrue are sorting a replacement out for me. Great customer service.
Anyway, I’d had enough of cheap knock-off so I went all out with Vantrue. My first though, I should have done this years ago. This dash cam is beautifully packaged, has a premium look to it and works exactly as it should.
Picture quality is amazing, installation was a piece of cake. Though I haven’t had it for too long to comment on its longevity, I’m pretty certain I made the right choice and I hope I’m not wrong.

Really stylish product that comes beautifully packaged so it would make a lovely gift. Nice long cable so easy to fit around your car without any trouble.
Easy to set up and it connects simply rnough. Good quality instructions provided although to be fair its pretty obvious how to set it up.
Good clear image with a wide vision. Memory card records on a loop so you don’t need to worry about not having enough room to record.

In my Opinion this is the best dashcam I ever had.
I highly recommend this dashcam to specially to Uber drivers and and in general to all motorists due to the excellent picture quality inside the car and outside as I will explain below.
The Vantrue N2s is a top spec dashcam with UHD resolution and just about every feature you can imagine. It has a 2160P forward facing camera capable of recording 4k footage at 25 FPS. *The interior facing camera is also high spec recording at 1440P at 30FPS*
The captured footage is very clear, even at night. Easy to distinguish road names and number plates, which is what you want in case you get into an accident or another incident.
It also includes a GPS mount which you can use for tracking driving roots and monitoring speed. It has nice and clear audio.

The 2 inch display is bright and clear and so easy to see what is happening.

The 2 inch display is bright and clear and so easy to see what is happening. Navigating the options within the camera is a doodle. Although, not included with this camera, it can support micro SD cards up to 256gb.
The camera, as expected, has loop recording and g-sensor mode for automatically recording if it detected a collision whilst driving. The dual dash camera is a solid construction and everything about the packaging screams “premium product”. The camera is easy to mount and the plentiful cables supplied are good quality. The supplied cables are Type-C which is excellent for the transmission of data captured by the dual dash camera and the powering of it via the supplied car charger. It also includes a GPS mount which you can use for tracking driving roots and monitoring speed. It has nice and clear audio.
Overall, it is an impressive dual dash camera with plenty going on for it. I am glad I went over my budget to buy this.
