Cant get over how small this unit is!
Super moveable, great if you have some short runs, or single strands for strip grazing. Works a treat for my ponies (who confirmed it’s working!!)
It’s not a problem for me to charge overnight in the tackroom through the winter if nec.
My only concern is whether the cold weather will kill it….
This is working very well and it’s been brilliant all summer to keep two pesky horses in there field. No charging has been requested
I love the fact that it is small and compact, it is easy to set up although you do have to work things out for yourself as the instructions leaflet is very sparse and didn’t explain what the lights are for. We worked out they are the charging/not charging/charged/fence on lights.
Great thing about this solar powered energiser is that it can be charged by USB plug when weather not strong enough to recharge and when it first arrives.

I was quite surprised at the small size of this unit, I was expecting something larger. However, it seems well made, its easy to use and judging by shock I received when I accidently touched the electric fence tape, it should do its job just fine!
I bought one initially just to see if they do they job and I find them fantastic. I now have 3. One on the fence, one charged ready for use and one on charge. It means my fence is never left without an energiser, no faffing about with heavy car batteries and when the sun is out, they top themselves up when on the fence.
I am extremely pleased with this product it has made a load of difference with electric fencing for horses
Charged the first night and has maintained itself for last 2 months without a problem. Horses have learnt to respect it after initial testing of it.
I purchased this to power an electric fence that protects a remote apiary from cows in the next field. It has been in place since April. I charged it via USB before siting and have not touched it since. It has remained charged via solar with no issues. It is not a long fence, probably 25 metres in total with 2 strands, however this product has been faultless. I check it weekly and appreciate it has been a sunny Summer so far, but I would recommend this product for areas where it is inconvenient to run power or to keep topping up a separate battery.

This product is fab – I plugged it in the mains for a charge – at first I thght it wasn’t working as I tried to touch it with dry grass – but after my dog got a shock I know now it definitely works – and 1 month after putting it up it still works – you have to make sure nothing else is grounding it otherwise it won’t work.
It only worked for one month- then won’t charge- how do I send it back? It’s too much money and almost new – this must be sorted
Brilliant for electric fencing for horses, gives enough of a shock. I love that it will charge up in sunlight or it can be charged via the mains, great product, you won’t be disappointed if you purchase one of these, well worth the money

I expected this to be rubbish but it’s been so amazing! Charged it off the mains when I got it a year ago, then it’s been charging itself every day with plenty of charge to keep 7 horses out of the feeding paddock (who before this had been trashing it every day!). Yesterday we had freezing temps and it stopped working, think as it’s been darker recently and it’s been a year since it had a main charge it just zapped the last energy out. I took it home to charge and it’s back to its normal amazing self even in today’s freezing temps 🙂 would recommend!
I have 2 of these, one a year old and the other 2 years old. They do not pack the biggest punch to your fence, but if your animals have a reasonable respect, they are up for the job. Impressed how well they take a charge even in good old english weather. Obviously more of an issue come really sort days. Easy to move around and stick wherever you like – in best light possible. One big whinge on both units… the leads. Poor quality and break easily….. I do not move or fiddle with very often. On one unit I think the live lead has just degenerated…. constantly clicking as if shorting and it is clear of any hindrance. On the other unit the live rusted and broke at the unit end and the earth broke at the grounding end. So good little units…. crap leads. Replacement set 8.99 on amazon. best price I could find.
Attached it to chicken wire and the cats have stopped comming.No more poo.

Very easy to set up. Attached it to an old garden fork and it is easy to move around with an extra earth required.

This unit immediately stopped a very determined pony from breaking the fencing down in an effort to graze on the other side, so immediately my costs were reduced as I did not have to keep replacing fence posts and rails! Highly recommended and extremely good value for money.

However, the unit discharged very quickly and I was tempted to return the unit.
Glad that I persevered as it seems to working fine now.
Winter is not the best time to try out solar powered equipment but this is quite effective considering it’s weight.
Great item and very easy to use. Does away with energiser and battery combo by combining all in one. Charges well from sunlight even in winter. Highly recommended and would buy again.

I have 2 of these and one has lasted nearly a year unfortunately my other broke which I’ve only had 2 months and i contacted the seller who replied the next day saying he would send me a replacement, brilliant seller and Brilliant product, Thankyou!
We found this energiser so good we have ordered another one, no need to use electric fence poles as we used eyelets on top of the wooden fence posts to hold the tape! Compact and easy to use! Great!
I have it switched on for around 14 hours a day and have never had to charge it with its USB lead yet.
Very easy to use, and the ponies are now very brave. Exactly what I was looking for. Use it since 3 months, no problem at all. Charges with normal daylight.
Very good compact energizer and does the job. The only drawback is the small fidly on off switch that you are not sure if it is on or off. A larger lever switch that you could feel what position it was in would make a very big difference.

Brilliant gadget. Easy to charge initially, I then attached it to my fence in April and it’s been happily working with no input from me ever since. Highly recommended. Excellent value for money too, I’m very impressed, so much better than our old battery powered one, easier to hide from theives too!

as long as its sunny all day everyday. did get a bit rubbish when it clouded over and i did plug it to mains but …. so its my back up now they respect the fencer attached to car battery

Instructions could be more clear. How long to fully charge with USB?, what is sensor for? Seems to work though, shocked myself when uprighting post knocked askew by a badger that went away.
Need to keep horses away from storm damaged shelter in field. Just needed to give it an initial charge then install it in field. Works very well – just ensure you have a compass so you know which way its solar panel should face to keep it charged up.
I use this to keep my horse if the gate area of his field. It works great but the solar panel does not charge it enough to jot have to charge it after a while. Kept going for 2 weeks in the winter though without power charging

Bought this 3 months ago and it working well. Had to bring it home to mains recharge it as it was losing zap! Now working back to full power. Just bought a second one to power a second strip to save moving it twice a day. Only complaint is ground spike is very short so doesn’t earth great in our dry sandy soil but I got around that by pouring a bucket of water around the spike daily. Very pleased with it.
Only time will tell how long this will last. It’s good that you can plug it in to recharge if solar system hasn’t had any sun. Also the night and day options are a good idea. I haven’t used that yet.

Been working for a couple of weeks now with no problems, very small and compact unit but it keeps the horses where they need to be.
Pour moi, trs bon article, reu rapidement et en bon tat.
Facile installer (je l’ai accroch un gros poteau de clture) et sur une ligne assez courte (25 mtres).
Bonne dcharge lectrique ressentie sur cette courte distance, mais je n’ai pas d’valuation sur distance plus longue, j’imagine qu’il faudra imprativement viter tout contact avec des herbes hautes.
Dopo una settimana di prova devo dire che fa bene il suo lavoro. Ho messo tre caprette dentro il recinto elettrificato classico a rete lungo 100 mt e fa bene il suo lavoro.
. Only complaint is the switch is slightly fiddly but that is being picky. Brilliant value. Will see how well it lasts but looks promising
