What to consider when buying a nightlatch
Which size do I need?
Yale Nightlatches come in two different backset sizes that fit different door types.
Make sure you measure the door before you purchase one. The backset on a night latch is the distance from the centre of the keyhole to the edge of your door.

Great lock, standard take off and swap if you’ve got an old Yale lock, took me a matter of minutes to change, brilliant.

What can I say, it’s a Yale, good quality, just replacing the exact same model as I wanted to change the key. They never give me any problem and I would always buy Yale if possible!
Need to replace my front door lock. Different spacing and didn’t have time to redrill the door for mounting so removed the barrel and swapped over. Great fit and nice new key.
Got a cheap one from local shop broke quickly. This one is built so much better and will keep people out. Don’t buy cheap copies

Fantastic price for a real quality lock. Looked everywhere but nowhere could beat the price. I have been using for over 6 months now and still works as good as new and looks great. Feel very secure and safe which is the number one important thing.

Fitting was simply & quick as the holes all match with preexisting screw holes. Keeping barrel in case I need to change keys in the future. Colour is not ideal for me but Amazon were sold out of chrome one. Fast delivery. I gave 4 for sturdiness as not sure yet how sturdy & durable latch lock will be this time.

Very good yale lock, easy to install took about 10 minutes, fitted it on my daughters PVC front door as a second security item as my youngest grandson was getting out with the pull down handle system, so whoever’s said it doesn’t fit pvc doors is incorrect, yet another great product from yale

A virtual replacement for my old lock, easy to fit. Had trouble getting spare keys cut. First locksmith cut 2 sets which did not fit. Second locksmith couldn’t get the correct blanks. Third locksmith knew about the special Yale patented blanks, had them in stock and they fitted fine.

Couldn’t be happier with my Yale lock, simple to fit and does the job perfectly.
I went for the Yale quality brand. Came with 2 keys but we needed more. Bit of a shocker at Timpsons that these are “new types of Yale” costing 12 for one or 18 for 2!!! So nearly doubled the cost just getting keys.
I’m a carpenter but this comes with a template so easy for a good DIY’ER.

Does what you need it to. My old lock just up and decided not to work. Grabbed this and was able to keep the old barrel, so no need to get new keys. Just screwed in the main section and that was me really. Pretty easy. The lock is solid, smooth and reliable. Can’t really beat a Yale.
It was just the right thing to replace an old lock. Every screw hole lined up with each other and I didn’t have to make any alterations to the door. Well done Yale .
Ordered this on a open box deal from Amazon which saved a couple of quid on the regular selling price. It was pretty easy to fit and came with instructions. Within 20 minutes i had the old one replaced with the new. Seems very sturdy and should last for many years to come.

Sturdy easy to fit lock. I’m 6’1 and have some power behind me and I’ve tested giving it a few hefty kicks to see if it would give. RESULT: didn’t budge and still going strong.

This was bought as a companion to a “PM562PB25 Hi-Security BS 5 Lever Mortice Dead Lock 67mm 2.5-inch – Polished Brass Finish”. It was easy to fit, nice & sturdy & well made. Its a Yale – I got what I expected.
