I use this keyboard for teaching keyboard as it has everything needed up to grade 8 standard and beyond. Bought this to replace my 20 year old PSR 630. The improvement in sound quality is amazing.

As others have mentioned, the guitar samples are incredibly good at this price bracket. All of the sounds are pretty accurate, but I am disappointed at the range of synth/pads sounds. It is outperformed the much lower priced Korg ek50 in this department. Regardless, I am more than happy with my purchase of this keyboard, due to the expansions available.

I have a Yamaha Tyros 2 And also a Yamaha PSR 900, and now the PSR SX 600 but although it is a really good instrument i would not recommend it for anyone who is a complete beginner.

I use this keyboard for for learning to creat my own song. the keyboard is really good for those who are in their middle music career otherwise if you’re professional player you need to buy high preform keyboard.

Awesome sounds and ease of use for the price. Really enjoyable keyboard to practice or freely express your musical ideas with so many sounds to choose from you’ll not be stuck in your song construction.

Some people complain about the lack of touchscreen but I don’t find it an issue at all, yea the screen is a bit on the small side compared to the more expensive SX700 & SX900 but still perfectly usable.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve been playing drums and bass for years, but fancied learning keyboard so I bought the E373. I wanted something decent but cheap. My shortlist was the Roland Go Keys, Yamaha N12 and this one. Read lots of reviews and decided on the E373 because reviewers rated the full-sized keyboard and the slightly weightier key action. I also wanted USB B midi out, to hook up to Ableton and Logic.

The things sounds good, is great fun to play and lets you plug in headphones and a sustain pedal (I’m using a non-latched FS Boss effects switch and it’s fine). It’s light and portable too.

It’s perfect for learning and practice. I’m using the built-in metronome, but it’s fun to play along to the drum patterns too. Doubt I’ll bother much with the arpeggiator, auto chord features and other fluff, but it’s there if you fancy it. If I get serious about piano, I’ll upgrade to something with hammer action, but they’re more expensive and heavier. And irrelevant for synth playing.

The controls are user friendly and I was surprised to find a fairly bulky paper manual included in the box. I’m very pleased with it so far, and at the price Amazon charges, it’s an absolute steal.

EDIT: Today I hooked the keyboard up to my MacBook Pro laptop. The keyboard plays very nicely with Logic Pro as a midi instrument. Just remember to turn off the loop back function in the keyboard settings or you’ll get a large dose of audio signal along with the midi. Still v pleased with this machine.

This is my first digital keyboard at this price level. I am used with cheap ones at 80-150 pounds. Used them just for fun.
I was between the PSR-EW410 and the cheaper PSR-E463. Bought it from Amazon at the very best price. Nowhere else that price. Because the SX600 had few things I really wanted, it bought it without thinking 2nd time.
First impression when I unboxed the SX600 was that it wasn’t heavy. It felt solid, but again is not heavy.
Been a bit disappointed because of the keys. They didn’t feel like those of a genuine piano, it was way too easy to press the keys. I didn’t like that. But I discovered that the so-called “touch response” is solving part of that problem.
An issue I had was that most of my memory flashes weren’t compatible with the keyboard, and they weren’t recognized at all. Lucky me, I found a list of compatible sticks on Yamaha’s website. And solved this. And yes it works with a 32GB SanDisk Ultra (SDDDC2-064G-G46) Dual Drive USB Type-C USB3.1
Then I installed some European style and voices from Yamaha site (some guys they sell these on internet lol). Being able to install some favourite styles/voices was the main reason I chose this model. All good as long as you don’t need more than the 98 MBs of available internal memory to do that. I think the SX700 has 1GB, but the price was way too high for me. I was able to connect the laptop through USB to the keyboard. Then it plays anything from the laptop on the keyboard. You need to install the provided USB driver first, but it worked just fine with Win 10 Pro.
Didn’t really have time to play with it longer. My kids were enthusiastic about it and I promised them I’ll teach them tomorrow morning the notes, so they can play on it.
I really loved the sound clarity. The styles and the voices were clear. The speakers are not very loud, but they’re enough for a room. I’m waiting for my PA system, the mics, cables etc to be delivered.
Can’t say yet more about it, but I’m happy with this investment. I recommend it if you can find it, at least at the price I found it. I saw that in Europe you may find it even cheaper, which is great.
You must buy no matter what a padded case and of course a keyboard stand.

    Great sound

This is the baby brother to the PSR-SX900 Keyboard and the latest model from yamaha prior to the Genesis. It is much more than I expected at an affordable price. It is user friendly with a small but serviceable colour screen and it relies on a USB to store user information and styles. It will fulfil the vast majority of your needs and you can add additional user styles if that is mainly what you want, it also has a Microphone Input included with effects but not a Vocaliser but again value for money is a real Gem and I intend to enjoy it for a long time to come. Just remember everything doesn’t have to be about owning a Rolls Royce, or a Rolex watch Just be content with what you’ve Got. We have just survived a pandemic?

The quality of the sounds and styles on the PSR SX600 is just amazing, and I’m particularly blown away by the guitar sounds. The four multi-pads also allow you to add dynamism to your songs, and although there are plenty already loaded into the keyboard, you can easily add your own sounds and loops by loading audio files from a USB stick, basically using the pads as a sampler.

There are also four variations in each style, and three types of intros and endings for each song, which are just brilliant – it’s truly like having your own band or orchestra playing with you. This keyboard makes it very easy to create some interesting songs, even if you can’t play that well, and there are also some great arpeggios allowing you to sound professional by just playing single notes!

If you like dance music there are oodles of DJ, techno, trance and house styles and sounds, and I was particularly impressed with the 6-8 Trance style which sounds like Jean Michel Jarre’s “Oxygene 4”.

The interface seems complex at first, but after about a week I can find my way around the keyboard pretty easily. Yes, a touch screen would have been easier, but once you learn that the buttons under the screen are used to select different items, it’s not a problem, and touching the screen would leave greasy finger marks, anyway.

I can’t emphasise enough how professional this keyboard sounds (particularly compared to my previous Yamaha keyboard which was half the price) and it’s opened up a whole new world of music playing to me.

Overall, I’m extremely impressed with this keyboard and definitely recommened it.

I have just treated myself to this amazing Yamaha keyboard. I absolutely love it! I have been playing on an older Yamaha model for years and l decided to upgrade. This can be used just as a piano or by adding the many sounds and rhythms. Takes a bit of time to set everything but watch the videos on u tube. I can’t recommend this keyboard enough. The quality of sound is exceptional. Worth every penny!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFast delivery! (Be aware that if buying this as a gift, then it will arrive in its original packaging with graphics display of its contents).

I cannot fault this keyboard for begginer and intermediate.

The sound quality, key sensitivity, and sound sampling are comparable to high-end keyboards. There are several glowing YouTube video reviews in praise this keyboard.

You CAN buy other cheaper makes of keyboard, but they will be nowhere near the quality of this Yamaha keyboard. Any musician will say that the motivation to practice and play any instrument correlates with the quality of the instrument.

As a musician, I was looking for a truly portable keyboard to take busking and whenever I’m away from home, so that I don’t miss my keyboard practice and online lessons with my tutor This perfectly fits the bill. I have no hesitation in recommending the Yamaha PSR-E373 Keyboard as a ‘Best Buy’.

However, if you are learning pianonwith good piano technique, I suggest that a Digital Piano with weighted keys is preferable. For this reason I have a Casio PX-S1000 which is described as ‘portable’ but it’s 88 weighted keys mean that it’s longer and twice as heavy as my Yamaha.

I bought the Tiger padded gig-bag for my Yamaha, which is also excellent quality and makes the Yamsha truly portable.

The Yamaha PSR-E373 also serves as an ‘arranger’ keyboard and can be used as a midi-controller for creating orchestrations and accompaniments in conjunction with music notation software such as Sibelius and Musescore. (The Casio does the same but sound bank does not have a graphics display and therefore access is not as intuitive).

A keyboard stand and piano stool are also essential for good posture and technique when sitting. I bought both on Amazon at budget prices and I am very pleased with the quality.

When buying a stand, I recommend a double braced stand for strength and stability such as Crystals (includes keyboard security straps and screws for securing the keyboard to the stand). Double braced doesn’t necessarily mean much heavier than a single braced stand.

Well made. Excellent sound engine. Portable. Perfect keyboard for beginner and intermediate.

Purchased for my son to help him with his music lessons at school and home practice. He has come along way using the keyboard and the unit is easy for him to move around the home. Only one note to consider that you may need to buy a sustain pedal if playing music such as Una Mattina by Ludovico Einaudi to carry some notes correctly.

I have purchased many yamaha keyboards in the past and by far this keyboard is superb. Has tones of sounds, synths, piano, organ sounds etc… and the option to import sound presets. The great thing with this keyboard is its an all in one music production workstation which makes is ideal for parties and live performances.

I wanted a new keyboard and one with good sound. Not disappointed at all, the sound is incredible and if you wanted to add a sound bar for extra bass it works with that too. It’s a Great quality Yamaha keyboard with lots of instruments that a very realistic. Plus it has the ability to update from the Yamaha website. So you can get hold of New styles, tones and firmware. Just one thing, from personal experience use a USB 2.0 stick for updating and saving tracks, the keyboard doesn’t recognise a USB 3.0 stick.
