This replaced a similar machine of higher power but has better suction.

Very light. Good performance, suction is very powerful and I’d like to be able to reduce this a bit.

Having a curved pipe that fits into the metal arm is not as good for me as a straight one, but that may just be what I was used to with my Miele.

Unfortunately one of the attachments broke the first time I used it.

Good basic vacuum cleaner but nothing special. Seems very much like the Amazon Basics one I ordered for use in our (non-boarded) loft – both in powerful suction and that annoying (to me) curved pipe.

Purchased from a ‘returns’ for 36.. 3 ltr version. Arrived, perfect condition.. Upon using it I realise why it was returned.
Frankly, the Main attachment design causes too much reaction over all floor types, even deep pile carpet if against the grain. I’m not an unhealthy bloke, but 8 did get a sweat on after vacuuming my place with this.. What it needed, that dose not have, are one of those small sliding panels up on the handle; that serve to lessen suction but also equalize pressure from the vacuum ..to allow smoother motion while hoovering, as the fittings can’t then create too greater seal through suction.
What I’m doing to make this machine more user friendly is getting a beater-bar attachment. Will raise it just enough for easier ranges of motion across flooring. A simple fix. I have to wonder why the machine dose not come with it as standard.

The thing sucks like a good-time-girl during shore-leave though. And it is very light.

I`ve been a bit spoiled by my excellent Neato robot, and my Samsung cordless number. This is plenty as powerful as them, but just feels a bit old school with the lead and all. It doesn`t increase the suction, being plugged in, and the entire vacuum, with lead and hose, seems to be pretty unwieldy and hard to fit into the cupboard. I would have been very impressed with this five years ago.

I like the extra tools included as they are easy to reach and swap over when cleaning. The fold out tool sometimes comes apart. Cord is a bit short for where my power outlets are in my house. My main problem is the bags, still trying to find the right type without a massive price tag on top as well.

As a confirmed Miele fan, I had my doubts about this — especially at the vast difference in price (very much lower!) to my favourite. But it handles wooden floors and stairs with ease, and makes an excellent job of upholstery. It’s also incredibly light, which makes it a dream to use. Brilliant for anyone with a flat or a medium-sized house. No idea how durable it is as have only had it for ?? months — and while it’s not as quickly effective as the Miele on the rug just inside the front door which gets lots of traffic, I am still giving it 5 stars.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI gave this to my daughter to use and she did a review of it and was to say the least rather disappointed. However, after a couple more weeks she seems to have changed her mind and of course it’s only fair I update the review I initially posted to reflect this.

I really needed something light weight and easily transportable (which it is) but it’s not all that powerful. That being said, it does work well enough and what I noticed is that you have to be scrupulous with the bag filter, emptying it very regularly otherwise there just isn’t enough power to deal with the reduction in efficiency. This is why I was initially disappointed but, fundamentally once I’d got used to more regular bag emptying/changing it does the job properly.

This works best on hard floors – which is of course the easiest to deal with – however on a nice new clean bag filter it’s effective on carpets and rugs too.

A big bonus is that this vacuum is light and easy to carry around which, is a real bonus to me as I have set up a property management company and as part of that I have to make sure rentals are cleaned before remarketing. Whilst I do have cleaners, I also help out as its a new company and all hands are needed and thus I end up carting around a load of cleaning stuff as well, often up and down flights of stairs.

So, overall, this is a good little vacuum cleaner that is effective as long as you remember to ensure that the filter bag is emptied as much as possible to keep it’s efficiency up.

There are so many battery operated cleaners on the market and posh stick ones that it is almost old fashioned now to have a vacuum cleaner that is plugged in. It does mean that you can use it all the time and not discover that you have forgotten to charge up the others.

This is a compact and fairly lightweight cleaner with a long cord to stretch out. It operates well and cleans quickly and thoroughly. There are attachements so you can get into corners and zap along the skirting boards. It is not as powerful as others I have used but at this price this is not to be expected. I think it is an excellent cleaner from an economic point of view. I have a small flat so it is perfectly suited for my use but I would not recommend this for a large house as carting it up and down stairs, light though it is, would be a problem. Well it would for me as I have a bad back and this is the main difficulty I have found with this cleaner is that I have to lean forward to use it – I am tall- and after five minutes my back begins to ache.

I realise this is purely personal to me and in all other respects I thoroughly recommend this and think it is very good value for money.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAt 79.99, I wasn’t expecting the Zanussi vacuum cleaner to be anything special. However, this cleaner was a pleasant surprise. Having lifted it out of its box, it is much lighter than similar products I have used which made it easy to lift around as and when needed. It comes in a brilliant white finish which is aesthetically pleasing. It was also smaller than I was anticipating which was a positive for myself as storage space is limited.

Notoriously with my friends and family, I am not one for reading instructions when it comes to putting together new devices; I prefer products to be self explanatory which the Zanussi fulfilled. I rapidly was able to assemble the different parts and quickly put the cleaner to use. Having tiles and carpets, it is always a difficulty in getting a vacuum cleaner to out perform in both areas; something the Zanussi did with ease with zero adjustment. The cleaner has different suction settings so I thought I would give this a thorough test. I tested the product on different items and I was very impressed that is was able to pick up stones by my front door with no problem on the least powerful setting.

If I was to be particularly picky, it would have been useful to have had a spare complimentary bag. However, the Zanussi is a keeper, so I will have to go and buy some!

Exceeded my expectations: a keeper sweeper!

I was quite impressed with this vacuum cleaner from Zanussi when you consider what it is. With a 750w motor this is by no means a top of the ranger vacuum but when considered against its weight (less than 4kg) this is a powerful little vacuum that is ideal for doing the stairs, small flat, the car, or using in a caravan or a second home. However, I wouldn’t say it’s got enough to clean a larger house, or a house with deep carpets. If you’re on a budget or managing a smaller spaces I’d say it’s fine, but those with a larger area to clean you might need to look elsewhere.

The design is nice and compact and a simple shape with space for the included tools to fit inside, the cord retracts neatly (always a key test for me) and the bag is really easy to change. New bags are available online from Amazon.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhat we have here is a basic, relatively low priced vacuum cleaner.

In style it’s like many others – in fact, in terms of design it appears to be largely indistiguishable from many another that you can buy from several manufacturers.

So – how does it work?

In terms of the suction power, it seems pretty good. There’s a dial on the front, allowing you to select anywhere from a fairly moderate low power to a reasonable (though not exceptional) high power. Perfectly usable and acceptable, if not in any way remarkable or ground breaking.

The supplied tools were usable, but a little limited. The large ‘floor tool’ had a carpets and hard floor setting, which basically extended or retracted brush bristles. It was OK – if I have floors to clean and this is the available floor vacuuming head, then it will serve… but it’s pretty basic. The smaller hand tools I have used less, and like the floor tool are competant but not exceptional.

The hose seems fairly good and reliable, the extending tube actually rather nice.

On the whole, then, a perfectly reasonable vacuum cleaner. If you need a vacuum cleaner, then this one is certainly one to consider.

On the plus side this is a very compact and lightweight vacuum cleaner that is great for stairs. It is ok at picking up dirt and dust but not so great at getting rid of cat hairs. It used bags which is a bit retro but to honest is better for me as I have a dust allergy which is often triggered by emptying vacuum dust compartments. The only issue is that these bags are a bit difficult to get hold of which is annoying.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersZanussi ZAN4100IW Easy Go Bagged Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner, 750 W, 3 liters, Ice White [Energy Class A]

This is a basic vacuum cleaner from Zanussi. It is small with onboard storage for the cable and tools. It is for dry surfaces only, it is not wet and dry like some of the bigger ones.
    In the box.
The cleaner, tools and filter plus simple instructions to set it up etc. I think a bonus is that the filters are washable and reusable unlike my present dying Vax 2000. The tools included are:
    Floor Nozzle
    Combination Crevice Nozzle/Brush
    Upholstery Nozzle
Chrome Extension which can be easily adjusted to get a comfortable working height.

    Assembly.
It was easy to put together, took about five minutes and emptying the chamber is very simple. It’s not as clever as a Dyson but it’s priced at that level either. It comes with a bag and these can easily be replaced.

    Weight and design
It is lightweight, small and easy to carry and manoeuvre. It can be stood on end and this makes it easy to use on stairs. The cord recoils back into the machine for easy storage. The extending chome tube can be telescoped up inside the other one for easy storage.

    Performance.
The machine uses a powerful but A rated motor and it is really powerful for its size. It certainly has far more suction that my ageing Vax which is now being retired after 10 years’ service. The head adapts automatically to the floor type which is useful if you go from carpets to tiles or wood etc. The tools are well made and useful for around the home and cleaning the car.
Performance wise it really does pick up and deep cleans. This Zanussi is a dry vacuum only and cannot be used on wet floors.

    Control.
The main body has a large silver suction control knob which allows fine control depending on the surface being cleaned. No more fighting disappearing cushions and curtains! This is very useful when doing delicate items.

    Noise.
It is quiet compared to other machines I have owned.

    Overall.
For the money this is a nice quiet machine that does the job you want without any frills. It is well made and easy to store. It is easy to use and carry and the supplied tools are useful for crevices and cleaning off the car seats. This is a nice high-performance light weight cleaner at a very good price.

This Zanussi is a compact design, one of those that trails after you on two wheels as you pull the hose along. It’s quiet and surprisingly powerful, and packs into a small space when you’ve finished. It has some accessories for corners and sofas that fit into a storage space under a flap. On the down-side it is a bagged vacuum cleaner, and quite a small bag at that, and we’ll have to see how long the hose parts work, as they’re all friction fit.

Overall I think it’s light and easy-to-use and makes a change from navigating an upright vacuum around the place.

  25. NFBMayrajvxcjj says:

Whist I’ve most recently been using a heavy, monster upright Miele which I absolutely love, I previously had a pull along Miele like this one and this really is rather nifty.
I love the fact that the extra tools are stored onboard, easily accessible and won’t get lost, and I love the big easy to use dial that adjusts the suction so you can easily move from hard surface to carpet, and from short-pile to long-pile with the minimum of fuss.
It’s extremely light and easy to carry and this makes it really manoeuvrable too and for this reason I’ve given it to my mother who was really struggling with her much heavier vacuum cleaner in a similar style.
She also loves the fact that the cord retracts itself at the touch of a button too and the whole thing takes up so little space in her cupboard.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis vacuum has many really good features: the price – a bargain for a top make; very lightweight and easily manoeuvrable; strong suction; fairly quiet; works really well on both carpet and tiles; Electrolux S-Bag Classic Long Performance bags fit and are easily available, and last ages.

The less good points are: carpet cleaning would be easier with a powered head with roller wheels since the machine’s strong suction makes it quite hard to push and pull on full power (even on reduced power it can be quite hard, depending on the carpet pile). These turbo-heads seem to be available cheaply from other suppliers on Amazon.

Overall, this is a really good value cleaner – modern and attractive looking. It works really well, but do expect to use some energy pushing and pulling the head owing to the powerful suction. We’ve owned other Zanussi makes over the years and have nothing but praise for the company.

This vacuum is small, light and strong. We tried both a cordless cyclone-style vacuum (which didn’t have the “suck” to get the whole place clean, especially the carpets) and an upright cylinder (just too heavy to lug up the stairs). This little vacuum is easy to carry everywhere, has a hose that reaches into every corner and is powerful enough to get the dirt up. It would be better if it had a powered brush head, but our place is so small that the extra scrubbing is worth it for the lightness. On our third attempt I think we’ve found a keeper.

Really impressed with this little cylinder vacuum cleaner. I will list the positive points:-

It looks modern and good quality with a lot of thought given to the design and finish. The white looks lovely, as does the bright shiny silver of the pipes.
It’s very compact. It fits easily in to a small space in the understairs cupboard. The plug coils up into a slot with the touch of a button.
It comes complete with accessories, namely a pipe attachment and upholstery brush. These are contained in a compartment in the top of the cleaner. No more storing them in plastic bags, taking up more space!I
It’s very powerful. Max is literally too high for our carpets….good for our long shaggy rugs though, and superb for the stairs.
It’s light weight. So easy to manoeuvre on the stairs and from one room to another.
The main brush has a switch to alternate between carpet and floor.
Not too noisy, but it has 750W of power…..adequate for most jobs.

    No negative points at all.

    Very pleased with it.

It’s a great little cleaner, it picks up well and had twice the capacity of the expensive 300+ vacuums. I love that it’s lightweight. I can just pick it up and get to any cobwebs in ceiling corners with ease. Its compact and doesn’t take up much space int eh cupboard.

I really like that the attachments are hidden inside the vacuum, all other hoovers I have had have the attachments clip on the outside of the hoover and I always seem to lose them.

Its lightweight to carry when doing the stairs but the lead is shorter than our old vacuum. Its long enough to hoover our lounge but not long enough to do the whole stairs. I had to plug in downstairs, do half the stairs then plug in at the top of the stairs to finish which was a bit of a pain.

It’s been a while since I’ve used a bagged hoover and I think I actually quite like it. Feels much cleaner although you do have the expense of having to purchase new bags. It’s worth shopping around on Amazon for bags as the s-bags can be expensive.

It says you can use the vacuum on hard floors so I tried it on our tile kitchen floor and it left a scuff mark which I managed to remove. I’ve used it with the brush tool since on the same floor and it works fine now and does a good job.

This is actually the first time I’ve used a Zanussi vacuum cleaner and I’m impressed with the results. The vacuum it generates is surprisingly powerful considering this is quite a budget model, and the unit is a lot lighter than I expected, making it a lot easier to use than our current model for cleaning the stairs.

It uses bags which, again, is something I’m not used to as most the vacuum cleaners I’ve had have been bagless so that means the additional hassle of having to order new bags, but these seem readily available from online sellers.

The standard range of tools are included, a dusting brush and a crevice and upholstery tool, all of which can be installed inside the unit itself, reducing clutter and lessening the chance of mislaying these tools, nice touch! Overall I’m really pleased with the Zanussi ZAN4100IW, excellent value for money.

I used this most recently to vacuum a newly laid carpet and some cork tiled floors. It worked well in both instances on about half power, with a strong suction and efficient action. Bags are economical and this is a definite plus and the vacuum cleaner looks good. It is light weight – you and drag it around after you with ease, or carry it, which is just as easy. A great little vacuum cleaner for a flat or small house that is easy to use and small enough to easily store.

I like this vacuum cleaner. It’s good value and compares well with a similar, but more expensive, Miele model. The cable isn’t very long, so you have to keep moving the plug.
The brush head is a little too hard for wooden floors. But the power and suction are both good.

  33. MadisonBHGK says:

This is an excellent all round machine for the price. It works well as all these formats of vacuum cleaner seem to do but its best feature is the weight – it is light as a feather to move about the house and would suit those who find lifting difficult. Nothing much to fault on it, it does its job very well. They need to sort out the bag problem as they can be hard to find and relatively expensive. I am sure cheaper bag options will become available.

This minimalist white Zanussi vacuum is effortlessly stylish yet with the wheel turned to max, can suck and roar like a much bigger vacuum. I have even taken to not putting it away I like the look of it so much!

Handy to do the stairs, cars and little spaces around as it is so light and easy to work with. I like using bags really as they are cleaner, keeping the dust away from me and my clothes. The hardwood floors are simple to brush the head has the usual two ways of cleaning. Carpets can have reduced suction as the power seems really strong.

A new friend in the hall, his big brother Dy*son is staying in the cupboard more and more…

  35. AllieYATES34 says:

This Zanussi vacuum cleaner is good approximation of the excellent Miele cleaners – it is
versatile, able to clean carpets and hard floors as well as curtains and furnishings, with all attachments neatly stowed in-body
    lightweight
    powerful enough
    handsome
    easy to use and effective,

but it just falls short of being as good as Miele for the following reasons:
the vacuum head isn’t a powered unit
Spares are not widely available – most notably the replacement bags
It doesn’t have the same 5 (extendable to 10 years) guarantee that Miele provide

However, it is incredibly well priced and much cheaper than Miele and much better made and better looking than any Dyson product. Compared with a no-brand supermarket option at the same price, I would sooner recommend this Zanussi.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersZanussi products are pretty well made and this one lives up to their good name. It is compact, light-weight and has a good vacuum. The vacuum is adjustable from being able to vacuum hanging curtains to the main carpet. The crevice and brush tools are neatly stored in the body of the vacuum. The main head slide locks into the body so that it can be neatly stored. The cord length is a good size and rewinds back into he body at the press of a button. The main pipe is adjustable and unless you play basketball for the New York Nicks, then it should be long enough so that you don’t have to lean over. The noise level on full vacuum isn’t much different to any other vacuum, maybe a little quieter.

The bags are small (one supplied), but they do expand out to fill the void inside the machine. They have a cardboard front (better than plastic) that locks the bag into place, so the whole thing should be bio-degradable, but maybe not compostable. The only negative I could find is that the main head is not so good on long pile carpets which are frequented by moulting cats or dogs, for this a rotating brush head would have been better. However, the supplied head is perfect for hard floors and short pile carpets.

For the size and type, I would suggest this is better for flats or apartments or houses where storage space is a bit limited. For larger houses with pets and children you may need to look at another model. However, this is a good vacuum and does a good job and the current price of 80 is good value for money.

Good vacuum, could do with rotating brush head

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is a really decent compact and lightweight “no-frills” vacuum cleaner. It’s exceptionally powerful with a big knob on the top that you can use to adjust the power. There’s a lift up door that hides the two tools away: a two-in-one crevice cleaner / brush and an upholstery brush. The tools are reasonable quality, although the little red friction strips on the crevice brush did fall off within a couple of days. There’s also a large push button release for the bag compartment. It’s a pretty standard s-bag “classic long performance” which is actually the same as one of my previous cleaners. They’re not hard to get hold of, but it is worth keeping an eye on the price because they do yo-yo up and down quite dramatically. Because the cleaner is so light and compact, doing the stairs is very easy – and the powerful suction means you can really get into all the nooks and crannies. The cable is 5 meters long, which sounds like a reasonable length but I still have to unplug it several times to get from one end of the house to the other. It can be a bit of a work out doing your normal carpets, but perhaps that’s because I’ve got used to an upright. I quite often find myself having to turn the suction down so that it’s easier to work with. There’s a switch on the top of the normal carpet brush to adjust the brushes up and down for hardwood floors or carpets. It’s quite a stable little thing to pull along as you work through the house. It does roll over occasionally and sometimes it has a tendency to land on the on/off button and turn itself off. Overall though this is a small, light and powerful cleaner from a big name brand. The asking price seems very reasonable for the quality on offer and it gets the job done very well.

This is smaller than I expected it to be, with dinky bags to match but nifty onboard storage for extra tools. It’s got a generous lead and hose and you can vary the power with ease by a dial.

It works pretty well, though I’d say the build quality in general and of the attachments in general does not feel that robust. For the price though it would be ideal for a flat or small area as it’s easy to store. It’s quite quiet and the instructions are clear and in pictorial form.

Overall I’m quite impressed. If budget is an issue you can’t go far wrong with this, although it’s going to struggle to cover a large house, for smaller areas it’s ideal.

  39. Layan Odeh,Christopher Jasper,Charlotte Ryan says:

Small,Stylish,Lightweight and deceptively powerful – the heaviest thing about this cleaner is the metal ‘floor tube’ ( the telescoping shaft that connects the hose to the vacuum head(s) My first mistake was to equate the overall lightness of weight to lack of functionality but this impression was quickly dispelled when putting the ‘dinky’ little machine to the test. I’m not saying that it’s the most powerful hoover but it can give a good account of itself going up against heavyweights from the likes of Miele or AEG which tip the scales at about 4 or 5 times the weight of the Zanussi! At first I thought we’d been given a stripped down product – for evaluation – but on closer inspection found the well hidden lift-up lid than hides the 2 multi tools – I was particularly taken with these – the dual fabric/crevice tool has the narrowest form factor I’ve come across (could be very handy when doing a ‘valet’ of a car interior) The EasyGo is aimed at the smaller Household or Flat situation and its very petite. The power cable is not super long which might be a problem for some households. Stylish, white, silver and black form is easily well suited to this – also, given its relatively light weight, it would benefit someone with reduced strength (elderly or frail) There was a comment by another reviewer that the replacement bags might be difficult to find but a quick search on Amazon seemed to offer a variety of choices? If there is a negative with this machine, I would say that it may not be the first choice for pet owners, as you need to go over the carpet a few times to make sure all the hairs are picked up. But all in all this is a great little machine for the money!
