I mainly bought this product to see if it’ll work on tiny fruit flies that I cannot get rid of no matter what! I was skeptical due to grills appearing large for fruit flies but it works amazing! I got it today and it got every fly I tried to zap.

I have had a non rechargeable version of this before that took 2 batteries. That one worked however was very cheap and flimsy in terms of build quality. This one however seems well built and functions as it should and it seems powerful. The selling point for me is that it’s USB rechargeable which is perfect for any occasion. For the price point it’s a great product and will rid you of pesky flies.

This is great and definitely does the job, one charge lasts me weeks, in fact, I still haven’t charged it after 2 months.
This think isn’t far off a taser, I haven’t braved it to try and touch it myself ye

I like this zapper. When I first used it and zapped at fly it made me jump. The zapper is powerful and deadly to any fly. The onlything is that the zapper only knocks them out or makes them look drunk. You have to zap them at least 2 times but be warned the fly burning smelling flesh is not nice.

Although it’s small it packs a punch. The flies have no chance. I love this product. Now after two months it’s going in the bin. Its fully charged and light works but the fly zapper doesn’t work any more. Oh well lesson learned.

Living out in the countryside I get plagued with flies, particularly at this time of year. In the past I have gone for the usual forms of fly control, sticky paper (looks awful) watery one way trap (stinks after a couple of days.) So after much deliberation I plumped for the bug zapper.
So to begin, one slight criticism. It does not exterminate a large blue bottle with one blow, it stuns it really, but it is then easily caught and fried. If you get your eye in and manage to swat and zap at the same time, then the fly is toast, literally. I have been prowling around my house, wand of death in hand, searching for flies to zap. However, a word of caution, during the hunt it is very easy to get carried away with yourself in pursuit of your winged quarry. Only this morning I came within inches of removing a set of pictures off the wall in one sweep, such is the all encompassing blood lust the electric tennis racket can induce. I now travel everywhere with my trusty zapper. Get one, they are the most addictive form of pest control known to man.

Brilliant item bought because we had loads of flies in the house and conventional methods wouldn’t get them gone so thought I’d buy one of these seen this one was rechargeable and decided that would be better than forking out on batteries all the time, my only regret is that I didn’t buy 2 my wife loves it she walks around zapping them with it and they zap with a flash of light and I’m left as look out unless there to high for her to reach then I get a turn lol, would recommend to anyone get one of theses if not 2.

We bought it during the summer time when there were loads of flies. I have 2 dogs constantly running inside and out of the house. Door is always open. So this was needed. Easy to use. Very effective. (Used on flies – not the dog!)

After that pesky winged spawn of Satan lands on your nose at 3.05am you hunt him and his family down lol, it’s the best exercise you’ll ever have chasing house flys and wasps down, and fruit flies turned to smoke at one touch, there will be a fly hurtling past you at 300mph and you get him on the back swing and theirs a loud satisfying crack and a flash, instant fly down, best buy eve

This is day 1 of owning the product so I can’t comment on reliability just yet but I will update if I have any issues.

Within minutes of the product arriving I have killed half a dozen flies. When you hit a fly an instant loud crack and a decent flash of light occurs. This thing kills flies dead before they even know it. Quite impressive and far above some others I have used in the past. You certainly wouldn’t want to touch it yourself!

Construction is plastic with two coarse mesh screns on each side of the racket and a fine mesh in the middle. Doesn’t feel the strongest of things but I believe that it is up to the job. I would probably avoid bashing furniture with it though, but swatting in the air I expect will be fine, as would gently trapping flies between racket and a surface.

I mainly suffer from wasps in the garden when we’re sitting on the patio – I’m quite happy if they’re not bothering us. Wasps typically are a little large to fit through the grid on this device and get exploded like smaller insects would. However, if you hit them hard the electric jolt stuns them long enough for you to step on them.

Smaller flies tend to get totally zapped first time, although sometimes they too lie stunned and you don’t know whether to pick them up and evict them (because they might be mortally wounded) or whether it’s kinder to zap them again and finish them off. I usually go for the latter.

It sounds pretty unkind but when you’re trying to eat on the patio, or if you’ve got small kids with wasps buzzing right in their face, then this gets the job done.

It’s rechargeable but lasts for a long time on one charge. It uses a standard phone charger.

Usually have to shock bigger flys twice.

Good though, makes pest control so much quicker and easier.

I was having trouble removing nuisance flies and resorted to the Bug Zapper. I have found this really effective once I can get close to the flies, sometimes it can need a second zap to finish off some intruders
but this may have been down to the fact it was ready for a recharge.

Not sure I should enjoy using this quite as much as I do but there is something satisfying about striking down a fly mid flight, especially the crackle of electricity when you get the little sod.

I would recommend get one of the larger size, though I suppose it depends somewhat in the confidence you have in your swiftness and aim.

I have found that one hit to a standard fly usually takes it out, but some of the fatter blue bottles can survive the first blast.

Unfortunately, this has possibly been too effective as the flies seem to learnt not to come into my home for fear of this device…

Fun. Clobbers flies, bugs, moths and other flying things with ease. Kills smaller stuff like mosquitos instantly, but large blu bottles tend to be stunned and fall to the floor, where mk 1 foot can be applied.
Much more satisfying than fly spray.
The zapper seems well made, and has held up to the slaughter so far.

I can’t stand to have a fly/wasp/mosquito in the house or anywhere near me when eating outside. As long as I can get close to it and I make sure the zapper is kept fully charged then this works well. Best kept out of reach of kiddies though.

At first comparing with my previous zapper I thought this zapper was a bit small in size. However having used it a few times I’ve changed my mind and am finding it brilliant. It’s smallish size makes it very nifty when chasing an unwanted mosi and when you push the zapper button it works very quick with an unmistakable “zap”!

I have used various bug zappers during my stays in S.E. Asia and I can say that this product is as good as all of the high powered zappers I have ever used before. The added bonus is the USB charging as many other designs need wout to plug them directly into a 2 pin wall socket.

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersThis product absolutely deletes small to medium insects. Large insects also get annihilated, but small to medium no longer exist after you touch them with this product.
I’ve had fly zappers in the past where you’d have to pick up the dead fly after you kill it, but with this, I’m yet to find a body, or any debris of any kind. The Zapp when you touch them with this is so loud in scares me, a full-grown 6-foot man. The remains of the insect are gone, nowhere to be found, never to be seen again. They pop so violently there is just nothing left. I’m starting to develop a theory that this is not an electronic fly swatter, this is a portal to another dimension.
If you have too many flying insects in your house get one of these. By far the best fly swatter I’ve ever used.

Flies are annoying, there’s no two ways about it. They obviously serve a function, but not when they’re buzzing about my house. Got the bug zapper to deal with the wee devils and it does a great job whether used in forehand or backhand. Go too quickly and they’ll get a quick shock but bounce off the racket, but then you get to hunt them down again. Get it just right with the velocity of the swing and they get trapped in the mesh and it’s game over. Yes I enjoy this product and yes I do feel guilty about electrifying them to death. However the guilt soon passes with the arrival of the next fly.

I purchased this after trying the ‘sticky fly catchers’.l, which were annoyingly messy and not that effective. This item was great, although nothing prepares you for the initial ‘crackle’ the first time you catch a fly. After the initial ‘crackle’ using the fly catcher actually becomes pretty good fun. Even my kids have started getting them. It must be noted that you do end up looking like a rubbish tennis player thrashing about though!!

This bug zapper has been a lifesaver. Does what it says on the tin, plus it has many safety features including a light and power off switch. Flies are hard work to catch sometimes but grab this, embrace your inner Andy Murray and get zapping. Whilst this is never going to be a humane method of fly management, it kills instantly unlike others that have hurt the flies and they have died shortly after, clearly putting them through a slow and painful death. Also, I personally feel this approach is better than drowning them in one of those fly traps. So, if you are looking for a bug zapper, stop looking you have found the right one – it is a good price, fast shipping, fab product.

This item has a torch, totally pointless. Maybe the light would have been better looking red and was inside the electric net so it looked cool when buzzing the flies.

This is really easy to use on larger flies and bugs. You need to be that bit quicker with your movement on smaller flies and bugs. It really makes a big zapping noise when you hit them and you see a bog spark. Well worth the money if you hate flies and bugs.

I’ve never been one for wasps, flies and moths. After being awaken by something landing on my face, I decided it was time to strike back. This zapper is doing the job very well so far, and the USB charging ensures it’s always ready for the next encounter. It seems unfair to take it outside to use against them – that’s their domain – but may the lord have mercy on those who decide to fly in through my window. Great product!

I had to get something quickly as I live in a rural area and we have been inundated with flies this year. I had seen cheap versions in the shops but had heard that the batteries need replacing constantly and therefore they are not cost effective. This product however, comes with a handy USB charger and it was ready to use after a quick charge. It takes some practice to swipe it near enough to the fly or bug, but once contact is made death is instantaneous. You have to keep your finger on the button in order to make it live, so there is no chance of accidentally getting a family member or pet.

Absolutely great product this. It kills large blue bottles but they may require more than one buzz of current. My only criticism is that it could do to be more like a tennis racket in size. his zapper has very high power that is guaranteed to knock the fly out so you are able to get rid of them it’s also very hard to zap you or someone else because the gap between the safety metal and the actual zapper and the racket is very big so its able to easily hit the flys I would 100% recommend this!!! : )

  61. Michael Bizzaco says:

     United Kingdom

The racket is very easy to use and comes with safety features, like having to push a button to make the metal mesh live with electricity, as well as having the live mesh between the neutral meshes so that it’s hard to touch the live mesh. It is very simple to use and is very handy in this season of the year when there’s so many insects around.

  62. Anonymous says:

Easy to hold and works well on those pesky flies when you can catch them. The zap doesn’t actually kill the big ones but does daze, for the smaller ones, it absolutely fries them. The zap is loud and bit frightening at first, our dog hates when we get it out but I guess it shows just how powerful the zapper really is. It comes with a USB charger, and the battery lasts long.

    Overall I would recommend

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersYou know that bit in Lord of the Rings where Gandalf comber back dressed all in white with a new super-powered staff? That’s pretty much how you’ll feel when upgrading to this.

My old electric fly swatter, despite new batteries, was failing to have much of an impact on bigger flies – I had several occasions where they played dead on the swatter until I took them outdoors, and then instantly revived and flew away. Once it eventually broke from over-enthusiastic swinging I decided to try this as I liked the idea of being able to recharge it (although after several week’s use I haven’t needed to yet).

Anyway back to the Gandalf feeling – the first time this connected with a fly there was a flash of light, a fairly loud bang and one very dead fly on the floor. This thing is pretty damn powerful (although be warned if you have small pets/children they might not be fans of the noise).

So far unlike the old one, no flys have been stuck in it after being swatted, and the handle is fairly chunky so I’m not worried about it breaking like the last one. I haven’t used the light feature yet, but I’m guessing this might be more use in a country with more nocturnal pests like mosquitoes.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI was being eaten alive daily by houseplant gnats so I bought this. It arrived quickly in good packaging. The first time a gnat appeared after this was charged, I had to get down close to the gnat because it flew in between two pieces of furniture, I held the button down to put on the electricity and swatted the gnat close to my face. The zap made a very loud bang. I couldn’t find any pieces of the gnat afterwards, like it had been violently blown apart and all that was left was dust. I haven’t seen another gnat in my house since. Very reasonable price to remove all gnats from my home.

Kills big blue bottle flies and wasps.
Had this for a couple years, it is still works. One of my favourite items. Buzzing flies around the house are relentlessly annoying, disgusting and unhygienic. Very light tap, while holding the button will drop them out the air. But a second zap is normally required to fully kill, as they are normally just stunned.

Bought this due to size (smaller than most) and the USB charging. Everything I expected and whorth the extra money over cheaper battery versions. Took 20 mins to fully charge and then went on the hunt. The smaller size does make it quite tricky but adds to the sport I think !.. No mistake though when you do make contact .. a very satisfying snap and flash. Frustratingly since I bought this the number of flies has dropped of. Solid built zapper – our previous one was flimsy and broke on contact with something solid in an attempt to swat a mozzie. The light doesn’t work (but I think that’s a novelty anyway). Bought it to kill wasps that our dogs chase in the house. I’m afraid of one of them being stung by a wasp and the resultant trip to the vet.
Bees still get the jam jar and paper treatment to be released outside but we now actively stalk wasps and the shout of “I saw it first” echoes through the house. The zap and puff of smoke is the result. Much better than a newspaper.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersZapper comes in a very descriptive package. The USB charging cable is fantastic, I no longer need to worry draining batteries when zapping flies. The product is a good size, very ergonomic handle, easy to swing to catch them all.

This will be handy, just in time for May and June, when the summer months is hot and the flies are everywhere. Last year I was catching thirty flies a day, so hectic. This year I know the flies will be afraid.

    Useful in summer!
