I bought this kit together with 2 others from the same company as a first kit for my custom shop and tested them on wood, plastic and metal and they work well at first. Eager to see how they will endure torture in futur projects and will probably comment back later after some use to compare

Bit chews through 3/4 inch steel like a hot knife through butter. Lots of bits, a case, and a warranty. I’d buy it again.

Good, solid tool. Make sure you’re using the correct speed and a little bit of cutting fluid and these things will sling some chips. I think they’re worth the couple extra $ comparatively.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this set to do some clearancing on a transfer case driveline yoke, as well as other future jobs. The barrel burr that I used chewed through the yoke metal like it was butter with no visible wear to the burr; had to be careful not to remove too much material, due to the speed it would remove material! There is a nice selection of shapes with this set and this should last me for years with the types of jobs I’ll use them for. Time will tell how long they will ultimately last, but based on what I’ve experienced, this will probably be the last set I’ll ever need. There are cheaper sets out there, but this seemed to have a great price point for the quality and selection of the burrs this kit presents.

These die grinder bits have added a lot of flexibility to what I can fabricate at home. You can use these to shape metal, plastic, and wood. They bite through anything. I use them in a Milwaukee m12 right angle die grinder and they fit in perfectly.

the kit comes with 10 differently shaped bit to give you a large selection of the type of cutting head you’d like to use. I find that I can always find something with a suitable shape for whatever it is I’m trying to do.

The one thing I really appreciate about this particular kit is the inclusion of a really nice case for the bits. We all know what happens to small objects that come shipped in a plastic bag. They often get misplaced and lost. With a good solid plastic case like the one included with these bits, the bits have a place and you find yourself wanting to keep them organized in the case. The case is designed well too and opens to provide easy access to all the bits stored inside.

Overall, it’s a great kit if you own a 1/4″ die grinder or other type of rotary tool. You can cut and grind almost anything with these. Stone, metal, wood, plastic. It’ll do it all.

As I tackle more DIY home projects, I find myself lacking many of the tools that I never knew I needed (or might want one day). These tungsten carbide burrs come in a convenient and well-made hard plastic storage case which ensures all the bits remain organized and neatly displayed. They’re rated for speeds of up to 25000RPM which is more than enough for what I’ll be using them for.

The set includes burrs in a variety of shapes, ranging from cylindrical, ball-shaped and tapered. I’ve used the several burrs on metal, plastic, wood and ceramic so far and I’m more than satisfied with the quality and performance.

Excellent quality and they come in a convenient storage case for organization & transpo

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersLet me say it, straight up, I expected cheap junk to be delivered, instead I got a very pleasant surprise.

This set comes in a great little carrying case and features a bunch of shapes that should cover virtually any job but none of this matters of the bits don’t stand up to every day use. Upon first inspection, the craftsmanship looked far beyond what I had expected. Then I started using them on wood, plexiglass, aluminum, cooper and finally steel. I never REALLY worked them because I was afraid that I would dull them right down. My wife firmly suggested that I was akin to poultry and reminded me that my responsibility was to evaluate them, put them to a real scenario test, so I went through all the same materials and this time, I Ieaned on them pretty heavily and man, did they ever rise to the occasion. They did the job very well and still look and feel as though their edges had much much more to give. All for a price that is a fraction of what it would cost to buy one or two of these bits at your local hardware store.

I am super impressed and happy to have these. There is much work to be done with these!

HIGHLY recommended. They are a great value.

This has turned out to be an excellent selection of bits.

The double-cut design does a good job of removing a lot of material without leaving a rough surface. Each bit is machined perfectly. While they won’t fit into a Dremel or other typical bench die grinders that I have, they are still quite useable in a highspeed drill. The 1/4 inch shanks run true. There is no wobble that will affect the performance or ruin a finish.

I like the case. It securely holds the bits so that they don’t thrash around, then tossing the kit into a toolbox while on the go. This has been a problem for me in the past. Other kits shipped the bits in a non-segmented plastic container, and by bouncing around thumping into other bits, some got damaged. The fold-up design makes it simple to grab the bit I need.

So far, they have worked well on wood, PVC, some tin, and a ceramic plant pot. I was worried when tackling the pot, but because of the cross-cut pattern, it ended up looking good.

This well-made, good-quality burr set is perfect for finishing almost any surface. Ideal for oddly sized screws that you don’t have the right sized bit for, you can enlarge the holes with the smaller bits.
High-quality construction and materials with a decent storage box as well.
Regarding using them with a Dremel – the max speed for these burr bits is 25,000 RPM – you will have to be careful with your higher speed tools.
    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The tools worked great. You just have to remember to let the tool do the work. Do not apply too much pressure because the bit will over heat and come apart. They worked well when grinding bolt heads off..

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDIYer hubby likes this burr set and said it was a great addition to his collection of tools and accessories since he works with many different materials (wood, metal, polycarbonates etc) on his many projects. He like the different shapes that they come in since that was one of his major complaints with other set he had. They come in a decent plastic case to keep them organized and hopefully from getting lost. The case has a sliding bar for opening which makes for more secure closure and has a tab for hanging. The bits are held in an upright position stand when the case is opening, making them easy to access. However the stand has a tendency to flop down if the box is not slightly tilted. He tried couple of burrs on his Dewalt drill to help proper set up some hinges on a door he was installing into a metal frame. Also worked on his milling machine. Job went easier with using them. The tungsten metal in them held up very well. On the box it does state the shank head is welded with premium sliver weld to avoid breakage even at speeds up to 25000 RPMs though the stems are on the thin side and husband say has to watch how much pressure he applies. He hopes to get a lot of use out of this set.

These are nice double cut carbide burrs for general grinding/surface clean-up. The surface finish isn’t quite as clean as a high grit flap disc but they’re much smaller and therefore versatile. Surface finish is still good and doesn’t heat up much during use. Carbide burrs also don’t wear much at all in normal use.

That said, it’s best kept to materials softer than these carbide burrs. I don’t think I’d use these on stone or glass. However, I tried it on old semi-hard lawnmower blades just for fun and it worked great there. Softer materials are easy.

Also please note that these burrs have a 1/4″ shank and a max speed of 25000RPM. They worked great in my air-powered die grinder but they’re much too big for hand-held Dremel tools (description mentions Dremel so I thought I’d clarify).

Great carbide burrs for use with a die grinde

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese cost on a per piece basis less than I paid for a single tiny 1/8″ burr grinder, in a plastic baggie, with no case. That really says it all unless these turned out to be poor quality but they’re actually great quality. The machining on each of them is precise and they all seem nice and sharp. The hard case they come in is a little overkill for what it holds, but even the case is pretty good – it has a slide lock, holds the bits at an angle when opened, and each of the bits is held securely inside and none of them bounced loose in the case even during shipping.

The variety of bits it comes with covers pretty much every case I can think of that I might need (an example I use these on is when I need to replace the deadbolt on an old metal skinned door, I often find the bore hole is too small and I’ve found the easiest thing to do is just slowly enlarge the bore hole using one of these rasps) and even though they are huge compared to the small more dremel friendly bits at least one of the included bits tapers down to a fine enough point even for something requiring finer detail.

These are solid carbide burr “heads” brazed onto tool steel shanks. This is actually an advantage over full solid carbide because the softer shank can be gripped by a drill chuck where carbide would tend to slip easily because it is harder than the chuck jaws. A carbide shank needs to be held in a collet.

Overall, the manufacture looks quite clean and the cutting edges are sharp. They run quite true, indicating the burr is ground after brazing the carbide to the shank. The grinding appears to be fully automated (CNC) as there are no imperfections to indicate hand work. The ten shapes give a nice assortment for ad-hoc purposes, which is my use for carbide burrs, addressing various odd repair or shaping operations that require hand-guidance. I also use then in phenolic material that is very hard on high-speed steel (HSS) tools.

The ABS case is very serviceable and with care to avoid dropping it will last a long time. The hinges operate smoothly and the sliding latch stays put but is easily moved from open to closed with finger pressure. It has a flip-up hanger allowing it to be stored on something like pegboard or a nail, which is nice flexibility. The burrs fit snugly in drill-index style holes such that they do not rattle at all in the box. They are a bit difficult to remove the first time, but after a few insertions the receiving hole breaks in and a nice positive sliding fit is achieved. The storage box is somewhat larger than it needs to be, but I think that’s because it is modular and can accommodate other sets by using other inserts. Overall the case is thoughtfully engineered and an unexpected positive “bonus”

My mistake, but one does need to read the product description carefully. These have 1/4″ shanks, while Dremel tools have smaller shanks (usually 1/8″). Thus I can’t use these. This company does make a version with 1/8″ shanks, which is what I should have gotten instead.

Having said that, from appearance these are very nicely made, and seem very sturdy.

They come in a very nice case that is compact and opens in a way that I can’t describe well but is much nicer than most cases that hold drill bits and other items of this nature.

I own a 1/8″ carbide burr set from this company. Those burrs work well on my Dremel tool cutting wood and cleaning up 3D-printed objects. They also work cutting mild steel albeit slowly. But cutting using a weak power tool such as the Dremel isn’t a good way to gauge burr performance. Use of ” burrs on a more powerful die grinder is better suited for that purpose.

This set comes in a stylish, durable-looking plastic case. Machining of the burrs themselves look flawless. I’ve used these burrs for slightly over a week almost daily grinding welds on a car-restoration project. These burrs sliced through metal without a hitch, but can bite aggressively if too much pressure is applied. Light pressure produced impressively smooth cuts with minimal grabbing. Having an entire set is very convenient. The different shaped bits allowed me to grind into tight locations.

Overall, I like these burrs and recommend them. I don’t have enough information to ascertain durability yet, and will update review if these dull prematurely.

I really like these high quality bits. I use them in my high quality corded rotary tool at high speed. I do some jewelry making and woodcrafting and use bits pretty much interchangeably if I think they will work. I don’t have a drill press, and was able to bore through metal and carve wood with these without any issue. Obviously you need a steady hand, but these work well. Various sizes and thicknesses for a variety of uses. I have the 1/8″ width shank, too– those are probably my go-to in the rotary tool but these will work, as well. they also easily fit my drill and can be used that way as long as I use the steadying attachment.

The quality of these are high. No breaking– the bits are STRONG. Highly recommended. I’ve already recommended them to a few jewelry makers.

Great quality double cut burr set. I can’t believe the quality for the price. And this comes with a really nice case. The case isn’t even cheaply made. Wow. I have used these several times at work and they cut great. Beats the heck out of paying those high prices for just one burr. I work industrial maintenance so I’m always using burrs especially when cutting out brass bushings. Remember these are not for stainless. If you are cutting stainless then it’s best to use a single cut burr not double cut. I would highly recommend getting this set. You will be please.

Seller TAITA is a tool manufacturer whose quality Tungsten Carbide burrs I use for crafting. This is a very well made set of double cut coarse Tungsten Carbide Burrs with 1/4 inch shanks for my high speed rotary tool use. These are nicely finished without any visible flaws and have a variety of useful shapes (bullnose, cylinder, cone, round etc.). These Tungsten Carbide (TC) burrs come in a closeable plastic box that keeps them from knocking together getting damaged and lets me see and grab the one I want to use. Nice! (See Pictures 1, 2). These are almost 3 inches long overall (Picture 3). The TC heads are welded to the 1/4 inch steel shanks with a specialized silver weld for durability and strength per the maker.

These are best used on jewelry metals such as silver, gold, or platinum as well as aluminum, brass, copper and soft metals. Burr life is extended when a burr wax lubricant is used. These can be used for ferrous metal and on welds or mild iron but burr life may be shortened even though they are tungsten carbide. On steel a lower speed is best. On softer metals using light pressure at high speed and with a lubricant wax they are great and really eat away material with ease. Plastic can also be shaped with these.

These are coarse enough they should be ok on wood. I would not use these on wood due to the extra heat generated and chip clearance being limited by natural softwood resin buildup although the manufacturer specifies wood as one of the materials they may be used on. Dry hardwood might be quite acceptable for grinding and shaping.

ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION with A FACE SHIELD! High Speed Rotary Tools WILL fling debris that could cause serious injury. Safety First!

I Highly Recommend this great set of TAITA Tools Tungsten Carbide Burrs! Excellent value in a very well made burr set.

Summary: Used carbide bits for two projects: 1) grinding off some aluminum rivets, and 2) modifying a jack to function correctly (the green piece at top could not be rotated 90 degrees, before and after pics attached).

Observations: I started with a cut-off wheel, then quickly realized that the aluminum rivet was merely clogging the wheel, so I switched over to these carbide bits (cut-off wheels excel on steel or hard metals).

Recommendations: Let the tool do the work. Fix your piece in a vise if possible, so that you can maintain two hands on the grinding tool. I was using a lithium powered grinder, and if you overload it, the tool will shut down, which it did a couple times. For some material like aluminum, also keep a stiff brass brush for cleaning out the teeth, if they get clogged.

Pros: Various sizes/shapes; arrives in a very nice, protective and usable case.

    Cons: None.

Conclusion: At $43, rating this one 5-stars. TAITA TOOLS also offers double cut 1/8″ shank sets, for use in Dremel and other rotary tools.

These are great carbide burrs. Perfect to use on an electric die grinder and chews away mild steel faster than my more expensive, albeit more worn out burr. I think these burrs hit a sweetspot at around 10krpm where you need only minimal force to cut efficiently. This comes with a variety of grinder shapes from ball, cylindrical, and conical of various sizes. Overall a very impressive set at a reasonable cost. I’ll be curious to see if these hold up over the next couple of year, but at less than $3 a burr I’ll be happy if they last the next year.
