Bought this for my mum who at, 91 is not able to move from DVD player to TV without getting confused. This is very simple to use and she can sit at the table and watch it with ease.
The sound could be better. I tried it out and, at loudest setting of 20, could hear it and hopefully my mum will be fine with it. if not, then will be useless for her since she won’t want to sit there with headphones on.
The delivery driver was rubbish. He stated he delivered directly to customer but what he did was leave it on the doorstep, in the rain. If he knocked, it was not with any strength. I happened to walk into the kitchen and see him already in his van and by the time i walked four feet to the kitchen door, he had driven off. This is not the first time this particular Prime delivery driver has done this. On a previous delivery, he partially delivered and when I opened to door to find my parcel, he had gone back to his van and was actually looking as me as he passed my house and promptly left the rest of my delivery with a neighbour who kindly knocked on my door moments later to bring me my goods.
Putting me off wanting to use Amazon now since all through Covid, drivers were very careful to wait until the door was answered but this guy, who is relatively new, seems not to bother.
I have, so far, been very pleased with this DVD. I would have preferred it in Black rather than Purple but it was 30 cheaper, so I can live with that!!
I was worried about the sound quality after reading some reviews, but I found it more than adequate. If you have an ‘all round’ sound system at home, which I don’t, then you obvious notice a big difference.
The picture is clear and it is easy to use.
An added bonus is that the customer service is very good. They responded to a couple of my emails within 24 hours.
Overall a good experience.
My granddaughter doesn’t watch television but loves watching DVDS, this is amazing for her. Also she goes on long journeys in the car so she can use it then. We have got it ready for her for Christmas and wrapped it up. We feel she is going to be so excited when she sees it. We’ve given it five stars because that’s what it deserves as the screen is amazing and just the right size. The only thing we had trouble with is that we kept pressing the on button on the front of the keyboard and did t realise there’s an on & off button on the side. Would definitely recommend, delivery & customer service excellent.
Love this dvd player the screen is a great size and the price is fantastic I would recommend this product to anyone will enjoy taking this on holidays and trips out as all cables with it much more than a dvd playe
Received the DVD player on time. I like the colour and the screen is good, bright and large. The sound out of earphones is good and out of its own speakers is adequate taking account of its portable speakers. i have found the controls ln the player good and I have not had to use the remote very much. I have received it at a discounted price about 3 weeks ago and I am happy with it.
Bought as a present the quality is excellent and an amazing price for a really lovely looking dvd player. My son has used it continuously since having it and is very pleased with the sound and all it’s features would definitely recommend it to others
Bought for my wife, she is very happy with the large screen she hasn’t used the remote much . She like to watch her DVD’s while doing crafts. She mainly uses her head phones, having said that the sound quality of the player isn’t bad, she just prefers to wear the head phones.
Am pleasantly surprised by the quality of player but time will tell after frequent use.
The player is good value for what you get.
Got this as a birthday present from me to me and to save me having to watch DVD’s on my power hungry TV – we all have to save on the energy bills where we can!

Brilliant screen size and very clear. Really impressed for the price. One small niggle, the screen really needs to be anti-glare. Seeing my own reflection nearly put me off my tea :). The ability to alter the brightness/contrast/sharpness is a bonus.
Sound is good for a portable unit. What you would expect – clear but a bit tinny. Volume excellent but maybe get the headphones out.
Battery has proven to be good. With some machines promising good battery life and not delivering I am pleased to report that this player is fine. Not tested it for the six hour play time specified but lasted no problem on a 144 minute film.
Manual controls are good if slightly unintuitive. The remote control is slightly small but functions just fine for me
Plays prerecorded and ‘standard play’ writable discs from my Panasonic DVD recorder but must warn that anything recorded at ‘long play’ tends to stutter occasionally which can be a bit distracting. LP decoding a bit suspect then. Still, as it was bought to play commercial DVD’s I should not grumble really.
Overall it’s an excellent device and even the purple colour is great as it’s one of my favourites.
Absolutely delighted with my purchase and looking forward to lots of relaxing viewing.

There is nothing to dislike about this player. The picture is excellent, easy to set up and use.
This is a very well made, robust machine. The dvds play right away and the quality of sound and picture is excellent. I would highly recommend this product for adults or children. Useful for elderly people who are more or less bedridden. The volume goes up to 20 so no need for headphones. No running noise like other similar models from other producers.
