Solar water pump This is the 3rd of these pumps that I’ve bought. (I’ve got a few little water features). They work well whilst it’s sunny or slightly overcast, so in Britain they don’t get a lot of use. I only use them in little water features that only rely on trickling water. If you want something with a bit more power, then you’re going to need to spend the extra.

Better than expected then started to fail Bought as a a way to help oxygenate my pond and was working really well for two weeks, it spits periodically when not in full sun which is fine and then produces a good size fountain in full sun. It did this for two weeks and then on a hot sunny afternoon it went into constant periodic spit mode unfortunately. Could have been me damaging solar panel somehow…..not disheartened and am ordering another one. I still think worth the money for what I intend it to do.
Great for a south facing garde Good little fountain if your garden is south facing or there’s a point in your garden that gets constant direct sunlight, however if not in direct sun the pump is intermittent spurts instead of a constant stream.
When in constant stream it is a lovely size and height for a small fountain or bird bath and makes a lovely noise of water without being about to hear a pump humming.
Several options for the spray type. Instructions don’t make much sense but with a bit of problem solving you’re able to build it yourself without an issue. Cheap answer to a nice garden ornament.
Good budget water pump I was looking to make a home water fountain in a large round plant pot. This is a great pump when the sun is out and it exceeded my expectations in terms of power. The pump is made to float atop the water and it does a great job at creating a fountain at a budget price.
There are several different attachments which adds to how good value for money the product is. You cannot control the height of the water though; it all depends on the strength of the sun on the day.
Overall a really good budget pump and I am pleased I bought it.

Literally couldn’t stop laughing when first used We were all in stitches laughing when we first opened and used it. So tiny. Even for our tiny pond, spitting water up. It’s was so funny. However! The sun then came out and the power kicked in and it is POWERFUL when the sun is strongest.
The instructions were pitiful, but it’s straight forward, shove the bit on you want and submerge in water.
The pump itself must be doing something, I dropped mud all in the pond by accident and we couldn’t see the fish, an hour later everything was all settled and clear
For the price this is decent for small ponds but I have also only had it 24hrs
Surprisingly good. I have tried a fair few solar pumps before and thought as the price was so cheap I wasn’t going to lose much by giving this a try. Worked perfectly in a garden water feature, the suction cups keeping the pump in place are very strong. There is a variety of fountain attachments to try. The lead from the pump to the solar panel is long enough to go from the water feature and then be attached to the top of a 6ft fence to capture more of the sun. Obviously if the sun isn’t hitting the panel then the pump won’t work as there isn’t a battery back up. But for the price I thought it was better than I was expecting. Ideal for a small water feature or bird bath.
Happy with produc If you want a constant flow, this isn’t the product for you. I am very happy even with little sun the water is getting movement to stop stagnation, and in full sun it looks and sounds so relaxing. Going to take a little time to find the best place for the solar panel but that’s part of the fun of gardening
Neat little fountai Ideal for my birdbath to keep the water circulating and make a nice, soothing water noise. The solar panel is smaller than I expected and it could do with some means of securing it to a fence or a ground stake. Other than that, its exactly what I wanted.
Super tiny Super surprised how tiny this pump was when opening the box.
The panel has to be leaned to get sun but so far it’s working although more of a pulsing action due to not much sun on first day.
Created a water feature using an old fire pit and some collected cobbles. Looks ok just need the sun to come out now to make it a bit more constant.
Edit. When the sun is out, it’s great. Sometimes we have to cover the fountain with a small glass bowl if it’s windy to prevent water escaping from the pit.
Really happy with it though.
EDIT. We are now in mid July and it’s totally stopped working. Cleaned regularly but now doesn’t work at all. Gutted especially with the nice weather now.

The only thing that lets it down is it comes with less than one meter of clear piping so purchased 5m of piping separately

Great jet for a solar powered fountai I set it up and it came straight on with a super jet. My only minor gripe is that the solar panel does not have a stand or spike so I propped against a flower pot. This was super value, and worth every penny. I’m very pleased with it.

For the price this is a good little pump A small but good pump for a shady area, depending on sunlight. On a good sunny day the jet can reach 60 – 70 cm height. Monitoring water level is essential
Works well on a really sunny day This was purchased to replace an old electrically powered pump. I wanted to re-site my water feature, but there was no nearby power so thought I would give this a try.
When sunny enough, it works well for a very small pump.
Things to consider.
It only work when it’s really sunny, any cloud and it stops working.
You need to find some way of mounting the solar panel. There are no fixings. I mounted mine to a 1/2 plastic pipe, using wide gorilla tape.
Depending on the panel location, you may need to be able to move it to “track” the sun during the day. As I’ve said the panel only just produces enough power to make it work, so needs all the right conditions.
I’m really pleased with mine, just take into account where it’s going, and the sunshine it needs to work.

Good little fountai I bought this for the water dish in my tortoise enclosure. it was very easy to set up and install. It works well and produces a very high jet on sunny days.
The only issue is there is. no pole or attatchment for the solar panel so it’s really tricky to position as it keeps falling off. I will need to fashion an attachment and glue it on. If it came with a way to position the solar panel and attach it to things that would have been perfect.

Possibly too powerful On a grey overcast day the fountain spray was often over a foot high which meant water went everywhere and my small bird bath emptied very quickly. The solution was to use no nozzle and a small 2-3 inch jet creates a lovely trickle effect.
Only other comment was that I had to clean out the filter within a month to remove leaves.
Pumps uphill with no problems Working well now for over 15 days since installing in a big egg type of water feature. Water jet goes really high in direct sunlight and still working in hazy sunshine. I previously bought a cheap unbranded 5w version from eBay which didn’t have enough power to reach the top of my feature. Buy cheap and pay twice as the saying goes.
It does what it claims to do. I used this small pump tp replace a much more powerful one that had come to the end of its life. It performs very well in a garden cascade, pumping the water up to the top – about 18″ – when the sun shines. I will certainly buy another when necessary.
Works well. There were some negative reviews but got one anyway. Easily as good as the old one I had. Really good in direct sunlight which is what solar panels is for. Glad I bought it, looks lovely in my water feature and love the sound of running water when sat in the sun.

Use it indoor or in heights for long charge I bought this solar water fountain to place in my swimming pool. Sime setup can be used indoors if needed. The height of this water fountain is high with 100 cm height. For better results, cleaning very often is good and easy too. There are different nozzles which can be changed to get a different pattern of the water fountain. Best solar water fountain at such an affordable price.

Super solar pump. This is a great solar pump.do not be deceived by the small size of pump as it packs a punch when sun is on the solar panel.it is strong enough to pump the water through my 2 tier water barrels.
Love i I’d been looking at one the same as this at double the price of this and decided to save the extra cash for another set of solar lights and get this one so gkad I did the diffrent heads are good the power when in full sun is shocking for such a small pump needs at least a meter square slash back or you’ll lose all the water lol wires a nice length. Only problem I have with it is there’s nothing on the panel that you can hang it or no stake for the ground but I’m sure a couple zip ties will sort that out very happy
Cheap but cheerful Quality is not great, I have had similar with better quality. However that one stopped working after 3-4 weeks.
If it continues to work then it’s worth the money.
Nice little, and it is little, pump. Bought it to put in a small wildlife, I would say pond, but it is more of a large bowl just to stop the water stagnating. But I am very pleased with the little pump. When the sun is shining it sends up a lovely fountain of water. Quite surprising for its size. It only works when the sun is shining, if it’s a little cloudy it pulses, and not when its cloudy it will not work at all. But as others have said, I don’t really sit in the garden when its cloudy. I am planning to get another for nearer the house and set it up as bubbling pebble water feature.
Brilliant fountain display A replacement for one I purchased years before. Previous sun panel had Faded so wasn’t as strong. I use it on a wild pond. Just to keep the water moving gradually

Better than expected Really didn’t expect it to work that well but for this price it was worth a go. This fountain used to be electric powered and was my mum’s so it had great sentimental value. Hooked up the solar pump to the tube and within minutes it was working and the sun wasn’t even that strong. Really chuffed
Small but effective This is a very small pump, but it was exactly what I needed. The solar panel doesn’t have any fixtures or fittings for mounting but I didn’t find this any problem.
It works very efficiently even in moderate sunshine.
Works well, small but effective In good sun the fountain goes a good 3/4 metre. Can’t fault it really. Can jam with algae, but that’s inevitable and is easily cleaned.
Great little water feature Bought to replace a much larger model which packed up, got this size specifically for the small water feature & it’s the perfect strength. Runs well in full sunlight, to a lesser degree in over cast conditions and cuts in & out with dark clouds – but are you going to be outside enjoying it on a rubbish day? Probably not. Good fountai Bought as a replacement. It works well even when not in full sun. In full sun it goes like the clappers. Bear in mind these aren’t built to last but they’re not heavy on the pen so when this one packs in I will get a new one.
It's fine For the money its great, I’m using it in my horses water trough to keep the water agitated, and also to benefit a couple of goldfish that live in it.
Much better than the floating dish one I have in there before, but I don’t know if it will stand the test of time.

This is a great solar pump.do not be deceived by the small size of pump as it packs a punch when sun is on the solar panel.it is strong enough to pump the water through my 2 tier water barrels.
I’d been looking at one the same as this at double the price of this and decided to save the extra cash for another set of solar lights and get this one so gkad I did the diffrent heads are good the power when in full sun is shocking for such a small pump needs at least a meter square slash back or you’ll lose all the water lol wires a nice length. Only problem I have with it is there’s nothing on the panel that you can hang it or no stake for the ground but I’m sure a couple zip ties will sort that out very happy
Cheap but cheerful
Quality is not great, I have had similar with better quality. However that one stopped working after 3-4 weeks.
If it continues to work then it’s worth the money.
Bought it to put in a small wildlife, I would say pond, but it is more of a large bowl just to stop the water stagnating. But I am very pleased with the little pump. When the sun is shining it sends up a lovely fountain of water. Quite surprising for its size. It only works when the sun is shining, if it’s a little cloudy it pulses, and not when its cloudy it will not work at all. But as others have said, I don’t really sit in the garden when its cloudy. I am planning to get another for nearer the house and set it up as bubbling pebble water feature.
A replacement for one I purchased years before. Previous sun panel had Faded so wasn’t as strong. I use it on a wild pond. Just to keep the water moving gradually
So small and easy to use. Such a good choice of fountain styles to chose
As it’s solar powered it’s working relies on light so if you want a constant flow this isn’t a good choice for you
I have mine in a little free standing pond and can adjust the height of the fountain just by moving the solar panel away from the sun

Replacing old pump in waterfall, this fits well and works. For the price excellent value, fingers crossed it lasts.
A cracking little water power pack!!
Utterly amazing performance for such a little pump!! Happily keeps my water feature ticking over when the sun shines!
Really didn’t expect it to work that well but for this price it was worth a go. This fountain used to be electric powered and was my mum’s so it had great sentimental value. Hooked up the solar pump to the tube and within minutes it was working and the sun wasn’t even that strong. Really chuffed
This is a very small pump, but it was exactly what I needed. The solar panel doesn’t have any fixtures or fittings for mounting but I didn’t find this any problem.
It works very efficiently even in moderate sunshine.
Works well, small but effective
In good sun the fountain goes a good 3/4 metre. Can’t fault it really. Can jam with algae, but that’s inevitable and is easily cleaned.

Bought to replace a much larger model which packed up, got this size specifically for the small water feature & it’s the perfect strength. Runs well in full sunlight, to a lesser degree in over cast conditions and cuts in & out with dark clouds – but are you going to be outside enjoying it on a rubbish day? Probably not. Smaller than I thought but works great in my bird bath.
Purchased with chrome garden balls to create a water feature. Small compact pump with separate wired solar panel. Easy to place and hide.
Fun little fountain for kids, pets and wild life. Watch out in full sun as you my find your fountain empties reservoir! Selection of nozzles giving good variety of water jets. Just so cute and fun. Not a nocturnal feature lol

Assembly is very simple, cannot be more simpler than this.
Simply pointing to the direction of the sun kicks in the fountain to work. Exactly what is says on the tin.
NOTE: there is no built in battery, if there is no sun it will not work.

Works well in sunshine as you would expect, impressive for the price. Don’t let the size put you off.
Bought as a replacement. It works well even when not in full sun. In full sun it goes like the clappers. Bear in mind these aren’t built to last but they’re not heavy on the pen so when this one packs in I will get a new one.
For the money its great, I’m using it in my horses water trough to keep the water agitated, and also to benefit a couple of goldfish that live in it.
Much better than the floating dish one I have in there before, but I don’t know if it will stand the test of time.
