Got this item to replace a previous system. It was super easy to set up and to download the app on my phone. Really handy to keep an eye on home whilst at work.
Fantastic player, works great, easy to understand & operate, highly recommend Annke for your surveillance equipment as good quality and price, definitely a 10/10 from me
Excellent piece of kit. Easy to install. Bought to replace the old one that decided to die due to the heatwave. App is very good too.
Would have been great if not for the fact that I was unable to play the downloaded file on my laptop. After communications with ANNKE tech dept still unable, I assumed was faulty? Also the USB socket for the memory stick, was at the back under the wires, not the ideal place for access.
Discovered that my software was not,up to date enough to play the type of file. Still didn’t like the USB at the back and feel the tech support should have picked up the problem, however I’ve updated my review to 4 stars, as it was not entirely their fault.
Purchased to replace old system. The unit had hard drive already fitted. Which was great. Easy to set up. Connected with old cameras and phone connection via app and QR code was easy. So far very happy.
Simple cheap DVR for CCTV. It works reasonably well. Mobile app works ok.
Easy to find recordings. Set up a little confusing but most people will be ok. I had to have the app on my mobile before the DVR would say it was online, even though it was connected to the Broadband hub.
The QR code for the machine is on the underside, once scanned the unit went online.
Basically it’s cheap, you get what you pay for but it works.
Great piece of kit so easy to connect to internet and phone set up within half hour.
Bought this as a replacement system for one that had broken. Was very easy to install. Was quite a relief as the last one proved to be quite tricky! Highly recommend. Had it 3 months now and not has a single problem
Very please with this product very Seay to set up, even getting the system to connect to your phone was very easy.
Bought to replace a 20 year old unit that had worked well but the software to reD saved recordings would no longer work on Windows. A bit apprehensive as to whether the Annke unit would work with the 6 cameras already fitted and that the old unit used a portable TV with a scart socket, luckily I had an unused small TV that had a HDMI socket which I also hoped would work. Once powered up these fears were unfounded, everything worked straight away. The setup for Internet connection caused some issues as the supplied instruction wasn’t very explicit into how the verification code that was needed, was obtained. Only when I went to their website and the help pages there was it explained that I had to create the code (well worth checking out the online help pages). That done all the cameras were then available on the app. The app allows all the cameras to be viewed at once or individually and to view past recordings. Happy with that. Some time is needed to set up notifications otherwise you end up getting them on your phone every time motion is detected. That said very pleased so far with the purchase and considerably cheaper than the old unit with better functionality.
The recorder box came well packaged and was easier to set up than previous boxes I’ve owned, the network cable was too sort for my setup so this stage was skipped for now, previous cameras plugged straight in and were up and running straight away..and seemed clearer than my last system . The onscreen display easy to understand and after a while seems to make perfect sense . So far so good… Happy..

Fairly easy to use via an app when you hook it up to your wifi, seems great! Having 8 channels means we have the space to expand the number of cameras in the future.

Would have five starred it all the way but the process of getting online could be easie
But there is one problem I met, the Region restriction. I cant access the device when I am travel to another country, even though I add the device manually it shows device offline. The device cannot be shared to another account not in your country. Do not know if there is something wrong with the setting or this DVR is really limited to region use. If the limitation is there, it would be a big issue in holiday time( we move to another region), the cctv become useless.
Hope any technique staff can tell me how to remove the restriction, or teach me what to do to access/share device to a different country.

Good system easy to use and does a good job for security
I have had this for six month, had a problem on viewing but found out it was my monitor, thanks to the service dept helping me to correct it. We missed viewing the eight camera it was a shock when we could not look at the birds in the garden and the security of the home, I would fully recommend this DVR and thank you to the very quick service dept. Also we have video of a man trying to brake into our cars and it was a great help to the police. He will not be doing it again to the home/ Car/ Motor home. We can only again thank you ANNKE for your help and prompt service.
This is alot better and has features that the Swann didn’t, like a digital zoom. You can download a free app which allows you to view your property while you’re away from home too. There’s very little setting up required, probably more like familiarization than setting up to be fair. At less than half the price of a Swann DVR it’s good value too. We’ve only had it a couple of months but so far so good.
Had to replace an old DVR so ordered an Annke .The manual was not the best but the unit was easy to set up and the results are great.

I chose Annke because I have had previous experience of their excellent customer service. The size of the hard drive and the overall quality of Annke also appears to me to be higher than the average for a CCTV drive. I have previously had to replace hard drives about every 2 years on average. I was expecting plug and play and it would have worked had I not missed a stage where the smart setup wizard kicked in. Having missed it I was unable to go back and so had to set up everything manually so it took longer. I am giving 4 stars because I still believe that this hard drive and box appear to be a cut above average quality. The documentation was poor (it seemed like a typical quick translation form Chinese) and so that aspect was disappointing and could be easily improved. This unit is very good. It is easy to set up and had it running in minutes. The book is not great in explaining the networking side of things but you tube can do that for you.
The unit is very quiet but having a look it seems there is no cooling fan inside, not a problem if you keep this up the loft like me.
I would highly recommend this product.

Very pleased, waited a while to make sure no issues, extremely easy to set up. The Android scan square was incorrect, brought some other wierd app up, but searched for XMeye on play store and found. Links via cloud account.. Very quick easy as long as you have good 3g /4g or wifi connection. Highly recommend.. It’s plug and play! Uses Linux, which is more secure and reliable than Windows!
I was going to return this as the app XMEYE would only access one camera. When I checked the reviews on the app this was confirmed by numerous users. However one helpful review suggested using STANLEY CCTV by the same provider. It is brilliant- very user friendly and so far
reliable. My only regret is that I did not get the 1080hp dvr although to be fair the quality of daylight picture is excellent on this one and maybe the
1080hp would have made little difference. I cannot get the remote to work but the mouse is excellent.
I am going to email sannce as my TV does not show the bottom of the screen, but that will probably need adjustment to settings of TV rather than the DVR
