Whipping egg whites is hopeless. Spent ages trying, gave up and then tried by hand whisk and that worked immediately. Whisk attachment really doesn’t work. But otherwise really solid and good quality. Blender and chopping is fine.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI absolutely love this immersion blender. It’s easily the best I’ve ever used or owned. It’s powerful, quiet, excellent at emulsifying ganaches, because I’m in the throws of doing chocolate making. It enables me to make the smoothest ganaches really quickly, as well as being extremely versatile with other things culinary.
My only concern, which isn’t a criticism so much as an observation, is that you need to be very careful with strong citrus fruits when using the chopping unit which it comes with. I was chopping up lemon zest, and the plastic has shown considerable signs of etching damage, so the chopping container is not as smooth as when it was new. But for me, that’s a lesson learned. It might be that Bamix may need to find a way of making the plastic immune to citrus oils. But oils themselves do warn that they may have adverse effects on certain plastics. They did in this case. Having said that, I sterilise equipment used for chocolate making, simply because we don’t cook any ingredients as such. So it’s not a huge issue for me. Fantastic bit of kit, which, I think, will last me for many years, and was well worth every penny of the price.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersYou will see I am an unverified reviewer but I felt I should write something after receiving excellent service by the wholesaler of this product. I cannot leave a verified review as I was bought the item seven years ago through Amazon. After seven years of very heavy use (my wife cooks on an industrial scale) our Bamix Classic finally failed. The motor still span fine but part of the transmission had gone. I rang the wholesaler to try and get the spare part so I could fix it myself. They just said there was no need to fix it and just send it back. I sent it back to them and a little while later received a brand new item. No questions or quarrels, UPS turned up with a brand new mixer and new accessories. After this experience I see no reason to switch to another brand in the future.

As for the price and power questions I have seen. The item seems expensive because the engineering is good. Quality engineering is always expensive. The motor in the Bamix can go non-stop, all day, without a problem. I can personally vouch for that. Try doing that with a cheaper brand and you will have a ball of molten plastic and metal in your saucepan. The 2 Gigawatt power or whatever the cheaper brands are advertising these days is a red herring. The 180Watts from this item doe the job for even the biggest households.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this stick blender, it has a nice weight to it, but feels nice in the hand. It comes with a selection of interchangeable blades for almost every job you need them for. Fast and efficient motor makes light work of those tasks.
Easy to clean and comes with its own storage stand to keep it all together. I would highly recommend this item as a must have in the kitch, I would t be without mine now

This is my second Bamix.. last one lasted 12 years before I wore it out.
Very versatile.. used primarily for shakes.. blends frozen fruit nuts and spinach with ease.. rinse the residue off the blender into my beaker..minimal waste .. hold under the tap, then dip blender head into water and wizz to clean off ..shake..dab with towel to remove excess water and put back on the holder….My other kitchen blender would need stripping and cleaning ..way too much effort when making shakes everyday.

It will blitz can of tomatoes/ red kidney beans V. easily into a sauce.
The extra attachment will wizz up nuts or coffee beans.

Once you have one you’ll never look back

Love my Bamix food processor. I had one many years ago and foolishly gave it away and have always regretted doing this. So now I am well pleased to have the latest model which is super duper.
