I jsut love these BG products
I have installed these types of screwless plate sockets throughout my house and will only use the BG product to do this. Very well made and as easy to install as any product out there.
One issue that you may have to watch out for are the small metal tabs that are welded on to the plates… these appear weak and you need to take care not to bend them out of place when clipping on, to the point they could snap off, due to the small surface areas on the weld points.
A lovely product and gives a clean, sleek and stylish modern look.
Quite easy to install.
Purchased to replace two way lighting in lounge and stair case. One switch operates lounge lights the other offers two way switching for stairs/landing lights. Easy to install. Make a careful note of existing wires and their placement, and/or take a picture.
Adds a nice finishing touch with no screw heads on show!
GOOD PRODUCT
HAVE USED A FEW OF THESE WOULD RECOMMEND USING A 50MM BACKBOX TO AVOID USING THE INCLUDE PACKING FRAME AND MAKING A NOT SO TIDY JOB , CERTAINLY MAKES A MORE CONEINIENT JOB THAN PLUGING A CHARGER IN

Bought a double socket with the USB and didn’t realise it was different at the back so didn’t fit so bought this 1 and a perfect fit like last one I had . Good price too.
Replaement for fliukering LED lights
I purchased this as it has an adjustment for load which I thoght would solve my problems as the lights I have are very low load rating (it seems !) . The adjustment didnt work its either flickering or fully lit . I had toi run an additional side light in addition to acheive an increased loading and with this managed to adjust with a satisfactory result. So be aware of this if toiy have LED lights (the ones with yellow circuit plates in the bulbs ). Hence 4 star rating .

Great Looking Socke
The quality of the product is good, it looks and feels great and appears very well constructed. The problem I came across was that the interior walls were slightly of the level and some of the back boxes protruded beyond the face of the plasterboard the socket provided for an unsightly gap as the backing plate of this socket needs to sit flush with your wall. Therefore, if your electrical box is slightly proud of the wall or the wall is not 100% level, and you’ll probably need the socket spacer. I fitted them and like the look. The spacer will also provide a little more room if the back box is around 25mm.

I’m not sure whether this is my fault or the products. I have installed this with 2 x 8W Philips LED dimmable bulbs and it works quite well. The brightness is good and the low level adjuster allows more off the dimmer input to be used for control of the lighting (less dead zone). Some issues are that if you turn up the brightness very quickly, the transition is not smooth; there is a sudden increase in brightness from one level to another without any transition. Also, occasionally, some flickering occurs, unsure why. The chrome screw-less front plate is very attractive. A tip for the installation – adjust the low-level switch control at night time so you can get it down to the true lowest level of brightness and create less of a dead zone in the switch – also be careful with your screwdriver as the adjuster is plastic and easily starts to shave off if you aren’t locked in.
