This replaced a smaller model and I wish I’d done so sooner.
First time using it I thought it would take off. Plenty more powerful than the last.
Only really used to make smoothies and milkshakes but I’m sure it can tackle a heavier workload.
I see no reason to mark this down for anything, but if any problem develops I’ll be back to amend this review.

I am delighted to have chosen this brand,
same performance as vitamix blender or starbucks shop blender for the 10th of the price. What a steal! will recommend 100%

I really like this blender, especially for the morning smoothies.
Firstly it comes well packaged up and protected. The kit comes with the base, jug, blade and a rammer.
The blade itself has 8 blades on it which ensures that whatever your putting in it blended to bits and definitely had no lack of power!
The ultimate test for it was how it crushes ice and it did this without any problems at all. Just like slicing through butter.
It has pre set function button which make it extremely user friendly or you can change the speed using the dial.
Overall it hold an impressive 2litres which is great considering you can blend hot soup in it which a lot of the time in blenders you cant. Also has the measurements printed on the side for easy.
Cleaning is easy as preferably I simply add some warm water and a drop of dish soap and set it away on a small blend and so far no staining has occurred even though it is a plastic jug and not glass.

Overall this blender really did live up to the ninja at a fraction of the cost. I would and will be recommending this and would make a great addition in the kitchen. Although they all tend to be on the bulky side, this one isn’t as wide and seems a little bit more compact to fit in the cupboard.

This blender has all the functions you’d need for the typical household purposes. It is compact and fits in nicely on the kitchen counter without taking up too much space. Most importantly, it is fairly cheap. It have 8 speed.
I made thick milk shake using blender, that came out perfectly smooth, no lumps, completely mixed. I like the speed adjustments and variations. Also dedicated buttons for crushing ice, making smothie and for soup. It’s perfect for the entire family. It get the job done.

It’s a good looking solid blender. I like that it has big chunky switches, it feels industrial. I also like that there’s only one blade, no messy parts to go back and forth with and store (then loose)

The base is heavy and the blender jug is a good size. The lid to the jug had a good seal as well to avoid messy splashes.

The blender has two settings, full power and variable. They are very self explanatory. The variable selection has a dial then you can turn up to the desired speed.

There is a digital read out that actually is a bit redundant. It tells you the speed but it seems like it’s trying to do something else I haven’t figured out.

Cleaning is simple but using water and soap and blending for a bit then using a final clean by hand with a sponge, it’s a little tricky to clean the blade but not impossible by any means, just be careful.

I’ve not blended ice or anything overly heavy just yet but it makes light work of everything else I’ve tried leaving no bits unblended, it’s great for making smooth soups and lump free smoothies.

My major complaint is the smell, it’s very electric motory / oily when running.

Such a shame the tamper arrived broken, I hope this isn’t a reflection of quality control…

Blending the aforementioned bad with the good, ultimately the flavour is sweet as this model is not just trendy in its modern presentation, it is also easy to use and powerful.

This blender is pretty good. It doesn’t have quite the same quality of finish as our recently deceased KitchenAid blender, but is around half the price. It’s still an expensive blender, and the quality and effectiveness of this do seem to justify the price point.

The base is sturdy and chunky, with easy to use, clearly labelled controls. I like the fact that as well as a high speed switch and variable speed control dial (with 8 settings) this has pre-programmed buttons for some of the most common reasons for using a blender (soup making, smoothie making, frozen dessert blending, and ice crushing).

The jug is plastic and not glass. The base is very sturdy and is not prone to slipping on the worktop. The blades are sharp and effective, and in use this is very powerful, working its way quickly through everything I have thrown at it (including frozen fruit when smoothie making).

The one small issue I have found with this relates to its size. if, like us, you have a house with fairly low ceilings and low set upper cupboards in your kitchen you may find that that this is too tall to sit on the worktop and slide back neatly under the cupboards when it’s not in use. The combination of the jug height and the deep, chunky base to this means that when it’s assembled and on our worktop the top of the blender reaches above the bottom level of our top cabinets.

I’ve worked in catering for years and so have used commercial blenders for lots of things. They are good blenders which are built to be used repetitively over a short period of time, blend quickly and blend things well. I have never found a blender on the high street to match what commercial blenders do, until this one. This is a well powered and efficient machine that has so far blender everything that I’ve put in it with ease. It’s sturdy, the jug stays on the unit pretty solidly which is a good safety feature. The jug itself is of a good thickness so as not to crack easily which be warned it will eventually no matter how thick the plastic is if you’re putting boiling hot liquids in there. It’s got several different function buttons to help with knowing what to press depending on what you’re wanting to blend. And it comes with a small recipe book to give you some extra ideas on what you can use the machine for.
Overall I’m highly impressed with this blender and I think it’s relatively good value for money for the power of the machine.

For a blender this powerful, it certainly was very good value for money and a good investment in your health (assuming it’s not used to make margaritas of course).

I make quite a lot of my own soups and I have been using a handheld blender directly in the pan for the last few years. It’s a bit of extra graft, and if I am not careful it can cause a bit of a mess — hot soup flying around the kitchen is best avoided. I have tried one or two cheapish jug blenders over the years but always found myself going back to the handheld because I could never get it just how I like it. Given the opportunity to take this Hom Geek blender for a spin I was pleased to find it far and away eclipses the previous blenders I have used, and I will maybe stick the handheld in the drawer for good.

It is a reassuringly heavy unit, and the motor revs up to fair old lick. I was a little disappointed that the jug is plastic rather than glass, but the “Tritan” plastic seems very tough. I expect the jug will outlast the natural life of the very powerful motor.

The important parts — i.e. the ferocious looking blades and gears are all metal; this should last for years, I hope.

In use I find myself quite impressed. It’s very stable (owing to the heavy base I guess), even when blending hard stuff like ice/large nuts etc. My old blenders used to wobble like crazy. This is solid.

There are four buttons with presets, but to be honest I don’t find them that useful — I prefer the manual approach and the variable speeds control offers plenty of scope. It’s great.

So far so good. I like this blender very much.

    It’s also easy to clean.

Also, along with the adequate user guide, there is a recipe book that offers a few nice looking things to try out, and I certainly will.

I notice that as of the time of writing it’s about 20 quid cheaper than when I received it. I think I will tell some of my friends to grab one.

So i decided to video the first time i used this machine. I am such a wally and if you watch the video you’ll see why. Being a novice who has a short attention span when it comes to instructions is very evident. However, even i got great results from this machine!!!!

I put it to the test with just very slightly thawed frozen mixed berries. I wanted to make a milkshake so added some sugar and milk to the mix. There was no hint of this machine struggling. It is so powerful! It’s a real nice looking machine with a very large jug too! My milkshake was divine!

I can say without doubt. This machine will handle anything you throw in it. However it can be a bit confusing at first and takes a bit of learning, or instruction studying to grasp all the settings. It comes with a really nice colour recipe book with lots of photos too. I am thrilled.

I'm a novice but this is a gorgeous powerful machine!

I have to say that when I first looked at this it reminded me very much of a very expensive brand of blender that begins with V.
I wasn’t expecting much with this blender and I have to admit I haven’t heard of this brand before.
I have been surprised as it is pretty good. It comes with a Tamper and also a recipe book as well as the manual.
It is very powerful and I have used it for smoothies, soup and I have even managed to make peanut butter in it, a lot of cheaper priced blenders just can’t do this as the motor will overheat.
The smoothies are good BUT they are not super smooth as you would buy from a smoothie chain, they do have bits in but it does a good job if you’re not bothered about that.
The peanut butter came out really good and it didn’t take too long. The soup was OK but the consistency was a bit ‘airy’ for my taste and it didn’t come out hot, it was just warm.
Just be aware that this machine is very loud on high, very, very loud, not a blender to be used at night.
It is very easy to clean, never try to clean the blades by hand, just half fill with hot water, a bit of washing up liquid and blast it on high. That is the safe way to clean a blender.
The blender itself has quite a small footprint but because the blender jug is tall it won’t fit underneath standard kitchen cupboards when attached to the base.
It’s good value for money if you’re on a budget considering it’s power and does seem to be reasonably well made. This comes with 12 months warranty I believe.

    Good value

This is a professional quality blender that I had my daughter test. It’s a large item so will take up counter space but my daughter was more than happy to clear space for it.My daughter makes smoothies every morning for breakfast and this is great for smoothies but can do so much more and she is delighted. The blender comes with a recipe book that has some great recipes to try and she has made some lovely soups and home made peanut butter.Crushes ice with ease and great for home made slushy. She has had this 2 weeks and has used every day and says has not even scratched surface of recipes and functions.I thought may be little expensive but having used it my daughter was surprised wasn’t more expensive. This really is multi function item and large jug so able to prepare food/drink for whole family.

Not a brand I’ve come across before, but this really is a very good juicer. It’s well-made, fairly quiet, and is good at creating both smoothies and juicers. It is a bit of a bind to clean, but there again blenders and smoothie-makers always are. Four stars.

I have had a good play with this the last week. I have made soup and this chopped the veg to transform my chunky soup into a creamy soup easily. I put the stock and roughly chopped veg in the jug and whizzed, easy I have made smoothies with fresh and frozen fruit plus a few ice cubes and it was delicious. I even tried making my yorkshire pudding batter so that I could put a batch in the freezer. Although the jug is big the whole thing together is quite compact for its side, it really doesn’t take up much room on the counter top. When working it does not make anymore noise than the one I have been using. I love the display on the front, easy to set and easy to read. This blender seems tough and robust and comes with a recipe book that has a lot of everyday recipes to try. I am very pleased with this machine, its a beast.

Big, nice display and crushes ice easily.

Let’s not beat around the bush here, this thing is an utter weapon of a smoothie maker. I’ve been using it for nearly two weeks now and it hasn’t failed to impress. Put it this way, I’m sat typing this review with a chilled glass of strawberry and banana smoothie that I’ve just made.

That’s quite a thing to say because we have two other devices in our kitchen that could easily do the same job. One is the blender attachment on our Kenwood Chef mixer, the other is a Philips juicer/smoothie maker that I bought at great expense at the request of my wife nearly 10 years ago (both pictured my photos). That Philips machine was potentially brilliant. On paper it could make awesome smoothies from pretty much anything, and you had to do virtually no prep work because it would remove any stones and pips as it blended. However, any time saving benefits were entirely lost by it being such a massive pig to clean. It was hideous, to the point where it’s sat motionless and gathering dust for about 9 of those ten years.

The Hom Geek, however, is a far simpler machine. And that means it is so easy to clean. And that to me is possibly the most important thing, trumping everything else I’m about to say. I make a smoothy when I feel like a tasty drink, rather than having to block out the next half an hour of my diary.

The machine is very similar to several others that are available on Amazon, products that are tried and tested and well received by a lot of people. The Hom Geek appears little different, which is perhaps a good thing if it’s going to be as highly regarded. The bases is well weighted and solid. It has a feel of longevity about it. Even when it’s under full load pulverising your ingredients it stays planted on the kitchen worktop. The controls are simple enough too. There’s a toggle switch for on/off, toggle switch for high speed or variable speed, and a dial in the centre for controlling the speed manually. Below those are a number of preset buttons that take you out of the equation, and to be totally honest they’ve been all that I’ve needed. I flick the power switch and press smoothie and let it do its thing. It goes into a 60 second programme of pulsing and then blitzing the ingredients into a delicious smooth drink.

The jug is plastic, which might seem a little low rent compared to glass but it’s still a solid item and it helps to keep the weight down because it’s a sizeable item. I hadn’t noticed by my Kenwood’s blender jug is also plastic and that’s been going for decades so it’s not necessarily a bad thing. The jug is topped by a very well fitting top with a rubber seal that keeps your ingredients safely inside, plus a removable cap for feeding additional items into the blender. There’s also a “prodder” to push those ingredients in.

As I say, I’ve yet to have a drink I’ve been disappointed with. It properly pulverises your drinks. The jug has 8 blades that make very short work of the ingredients, and the programmes are well tailored to making sure those blades are used correctly.

I love this smoothie maker, and I’ve fallen back in love with the smoothies I made years ago that I got fed up of spending 10 minutes cleaning up after. The Hom Greek is clean in 20 seconds of rinsing under the tap. It’s great, and I can’t fault it.

An absolute beast of a smoothie maker.

Hom Geek Blender is fantastic. Simply put. It is pricey, yes. But in my experience the quality of blenders are often represented in their price. Especially those blenders capable of crushing Ice and blending the tougher ingredients.
The flask is big enough to mix together a lot of volume, the size of the blender is big and heavy, giving it that quality feel. The settings are very easy to follow, 4 options of standard blends, as well as an adjustable dial to manually blend your ingredients, able to increase and decrease blend power at will. It also comes with a timer. So you can make no mistakes about how long it has been on for.
I have used my blender several times now to blend crushed ices with protein powders and milk to make Ice cream. It has done a great job each and every time. My previous blender would over heat, cut out or fail to break the ice. But this Hom Geek blender does it all.
My only criticism is the flask merely sits on top of the base, it does not lock in. I have not had any issues with this, but it comes across as easy to knock off and less “put together” so to speak.

    Survived crushing ice

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI start by saying every blender I have had over the years I thought was good, until I received this beast. I have to say it’s the beast as seems to chop up everything and anything I load into it.

Yes pricey, but discounts maybe available to you to bring it down by 20.

As I said pricey, but you really do get what you pay for, extremely robust, pleasing to the eye and big.

I rarely have breakfast which I should, now having this blender I can drink nutrients and vitamins without my stomach rumbling , or feeling light headed. Am just lazy to put toast on, naughty I am I know.

I just made a quick recipe up, as had the produce in

    Shelbees Breakfast Recipe

    Makes two glass pints..

1.Put two pint glasses in fridge to cool

    2. Chop 1x apple

    3. Chop 1x banana

    4. Chop 6 fresh or frozen strawberries

    5. 1x Mango or peach ( take stone out

    6. One pot of plain Greek Yogurt

    7. Nuts, hazelnuts & Almonds, two tablespoons ( optional)

    8. Four tablespoons of porridge oats or similar

    9. A tablespoon of honey or treacle ( optional, just for sweetness)

Chuck it all in the blender, I put it on smoothie, pulsing.

Now normally apart from the stones in mangos etc I would not cut up the fruit, just Chuck it in. The only reason I did was because it was the first time of using this particular machine, and wanted to try it all out.

If you wanted it thicker and more crunchy, lessen the time.

The smoothie I did, is in my images shown above.

So yes a high speed blender, comes with everything required and a decent very easy recipe book

The first part of the instruction booklet, is in English, also comes in other languages German, Dutch, Spanish, French and Italian

Excellent features and clearly shown in picture and easy and big. Writing of a good size

Variable speeds, stop and start when you wish

The speed is huge at 2000w

This is a professional smoothie blender and looks gorgeous in the kitchen

    Made extremely well

    8 adjustable speeds

    4 preset programmes

    Plus a 2L triton jar

    BPA free

    220 V

Stainless steel and plastic, the jar is plastic, but for that 2L size I am glad it’s not glass, way to heavy

This product can do most things, not just a smoothie maker, although it’s the easiest thing to trial first time.

    Make fresh juices

    Shakes

    Sauces

    Soups

    Grind meat up

    Grind veg up

    2.25 horse power motor

    Non slip handle

    Good rigid platform

Comes with a rammer which equally big

The size can be seen in my images against something smaller

The display is very clear and LCD

    High variable switch

All controls on the front panel

    Countdown timer

Yes ice cubes can be used

3 layer & aircraft- grade titanium blades, these blades are 100% sharp

The speed super fast at 33000 RPM

Settings and speeds can be charged for thickness and texture

Once lid is on, I still tend to hover my hand over the top, no need to, the suction of the top in relation to the plastic jug is fabulous and secure.

Can make baby food up for the day too

    Self cleaning function

The items weight 4.3kg, so basically just over two bags of normal size sugar

This product has to be the most easiest 5* I have ever given. It really is amazing and robustso worth the price and to be honest I would have put this in the bracket of 100 – 125 catagoory, so for what you get, this really is fantastic.

I really hope you try this, because I’m pretty sure you will love it, like me.

First impressions are you receive a large good looking Blender Smoothie Maker, the base is a good size, which gives in a good solid platform

The jug thing is big, will hold 2L, which is a lot of juice.

The blade loos sharp and tough.

Included is a 50 receipt book which is always handy, guess work with smoothes seldom works.

Performance is excellent, its a noise beast of a machine but made light work of everything I chucked at it, soap were blended quickly, coffee was ground, smoothies blended, everything worked perfectly, it will even make light ice and frozen fruit.

Controls are easy to use, there is a rotary dial for speed control, If I could change one thing is I’ve have switch rather than touch buttons, I find these can be troublesome if food gets behind them etc.

This is a good powerful blender, it’s similar to a Ninja size and performance but a little cheaper, If you looking for a large powerful blender this is worth a look, I like it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersHom Geek Blender Smoothie Maker, 2000W High Speed Professional Smoothie Blender

My existing blender is a much cheaper model that has a glass jug. I have found that blender to be the only kitchen tool that is man enough to chop up hemp seeds which I use in my bread making. I am pleased to say this Homgeek blender deals with hemp with ease, hemp has a very tough shell and is often difficult to break down by some machines.

I have to say, this Homgeek blender has to be the Granddaddy of them all, it’s a big unit that houses a super powerful 2000 watt motor. The lift off jug although made from plastic, not glass has a massive 2 litre capacity, this has a measurement scale on the side. I do prefer a glass jug but one this size would have been way to heavy to lift when full so I can understand the choice to use plastic.

The blades which to me are the most important part of a blender are made from aircraft grade titanium, there are 8 blades in total, 2 of those have a serrated edge to ensure efficient chopping. The blades are arranged in such a way that nothing can escape the chopping process. It’s frustrating when you have to constantly re-arrange food to ensure there are no larger lumps left, that is not a problem with this blender. The blades are super strong and sharp, as they are made from titanium I can’t see them ever failing. The jug sits neatly on top of the motor between 4 raised humps. The gearing is made from 100% metal, a mixture of titanium and stainless steel, there is no plastic used in the gearing to overheat or fail. Nylon cogs work ok but do wear over time, hardened metal will last considerably longer, they will likely never fail.

The motor assembly is quite large, but it is almost square so it will tuck up close to the wall taking up minimal space. The controls are on the front, on the top from left to right are: Variable to high speed switch, Speed select dial 0-8, and Power switch. The controls along the bottom from left to right are: Smoothie, Frozen dessert, LCD screen, Ice crush, and Soup. The upper controls are for general use, the lower controls are smart programs for a specific task.

Yes this is in a higher price range than some, but for me it is well worth paying that little bit extra as this really is a superb machine. The build quality of this is excellent, the controls are heavy duty and have a good solid feel about them. The base is a little large, it’s also quite heavy due to the powerful 2000 watt motor that it holds. This blender has been clearly built to last and perform, it’s evident that a lot of thought has gone into it’s design. I love that all the moving parts are made from metal and are virtually indestructible, not just ordinary metal, some of it is titanium!

In use this works like a dream, everything that I’ve thrown at this blender has been dealt with quickly, without even breaking into a sweat. In my old blender I had to poke a spatula down the sides to rearrange the bottom to ensure all was chopped up, I haven’t felt the need to do that with this blender. My only slight issue is that the inner shape of the jug is not flat, it’s a little difficult to scrape clinging food out cleanly with a silicone spatula if food sticks to the sides. I suspect the inner shape of the jug is all about providing strength as a perfectly rounded edge would probably be a little weaker.

This is the best blender/smoothie maker I’ve come across, it’s well made and is insanely powerful with plenty of blend options available. This also has a rather nice full colour recipe book included – Highly Recommended!

This blender is at the high end of the scale when it comes to quality.
It’s a solid robust machine with a good bit of weight behind it and it’s a decent size for all your cooking needs.
It has a 2 Litre capacity with handy measurements on the jug so you can gauge if you are making something from a recipe.
It has a non slip handle, a removable lid which has a rubber seal to prevent any leaks, it has a lid plug where you can drop in any extra ingredients as it’s working and a tamper (tool to push the food down to the blades).
It has a few handy functions on the dial you can choose depending on what you are using it for.
It has a self clean function which makes the clean up so simple and quick, just add warm water and a couple of drops of washing up liquid and blitz for 30-60 secondsit’s a dream.
This is the gadget everyone needs in the kitchen to make life that bit smoother/easier and tastier 😉 it even comes with a smoothie recipe book and some of them look absolutely delicious!
I’m looking forward to the winter months making all my own veg soups and breakfast smoothies.
I honestly couldn’t recommend it anymore. You definitely get what you pay for because the quality of this blender compared to my other small ones is another level. Don’t waste you money buying a cheaper one because they don’t generally work as well as you hope.
This blender can smash through ice and other hard foods in seconds.
    10/10.
