I bought this products for the main reason of making milkshakes. It does this so well that I’ve started making smoothies with it too including ice.

It seems to do everything that you’d ever need it to with the bonus of it being super easy and to clean.

Perfect size to store away also.

One of the best things I’ve ever purchased for under 20!

Once filled it literally takes seconds to blend.

Since it can crush ice I tried using frozen fruit and it works a treat!

I no longer have to defrost it and result is an ice cold smoothie!

2 of these bottles is quite alot. So I can make them up in the fridge then everyone can pour into a glass.

I recommend whole heartedly! It’s brilliant!

Very good blender. However, I got a faulty one first time delivered to me it was leaking through towards the motor. Amazon were happy to send me a replacement. I use it almost everyday. Make sure you do press the lid on tightly or it will leak quite easily

So I had to replace a bottle from my last one as it cracked after three years of hard use. Was cheaper to buy a whole set than get two bottles. Great value for the money compared to other brands. Might not be quite as powerful as some but does get the job done! Wouldn’t have bought another one otherwise.

Its honestly the best blended I’ve ever used. It comes along with two water bottles which can be used for the blending and the price is so worth it. Only downside is that its horrible at blending frozen fruits so if you’re trying to make a smoothie bowl, find a stronger and thicker blender. Also blends really fast so 99% recommend

This blender works really well. Frozen fruit is no match for it!! It’s easy to use as the bottles fit straight on to the blender. Only reason for 4 stars is it’s a bit noisy!

Great value, relatively easy to use, but a little tricky to take the full plastic glass thing off, takes a bit of practice and I’d do that while they’re filled with water haha! To clean pop a small amount of washing up liquid and water into the container and turn on the very powerful blender, then rinse.

I’m really enjoying this product! It’s really affordable and does the job. It’s really easy to clean and blends dry ingredients too. (I made oat flour from oats). The lid does not leak when you make a smoothie and take it somewhere. Obviously wouldn’t blend too much ice in it, as this even tends to break nutribullets never mind budget blenders. Would recommend for someone who wants a simple blender to use a couple times a week for a decent price.

Wasn’t expecting to much from this for 20 but wanted something cheap as a starter.
Very pleasantly surprised by the quality and the bottles it came with. It does a great job and has no trouble with ice.
My first thoughts were, how can this be made for only 20, marvellous and great value for money, buy it it’s brilliant !

Good quality little blender, perfect for my shakes and smoothies. It doesn’t have a separate blending jug per se, rather you use the blade attachment on the flask/bottle and just switch it to a lid when you’re done. Simple, easy and saves washing up. The only downside for me is that it is very loud when it’s in use. Other than that it does the job very well.

Just used this product for the first time today and I am seriously impressed. For the price of it I was expecting a more flimsy or lower quality product. But it’s blending power and quality was brilliant – smoothie done in no more than 4 seconds if that! Yes, it does only have the one button ie. blend or not, but you can choose to pulse it if you wished for a more chunky consistency. Very easy to assemble and clean. Fab product at great value – highly recommend!

I made my first smoothie to take swimming with me but the bottle leaked most of it in my bag and it was a disaster. I had to go home.
The rubber in the bottle was twisted. i took it out and tried to replace it but it is distorted and does not fit.
The blender works fine and the other bottle seems secure.

    I do like this.
    Really good for smoothies etc.

It would be better if it was easier to clean or if they provided something to make it easier like a bottle brush specific for the bottle itself.
I do struggle to clean it out most of the time.

    However cannot fault it.
It blends my fruit and things very well – massively recommend.

The best thing about this is how convenient it is, it comes with two bottles, simply fill it up with your chosen combination, screw the bladed lid on and place it into the base, press the button or pulse it if you wish, then take it out and screw the lid on, simple!

Cleaning is really easy, blades often just need a rinse off, the bottles I fill with warm water and little wahsing up liquid and shake vigorously.

I got this for my protein shakes. It’s so compact! I love the way that the drinking bottle is the blender bottle too! It works well with ice in it too! And it’s good that it comes a spare bottle! I love mine! I would of give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the colour! Green is not my fav but it was a bargain on sale in that colour only so can’t complain about it!

I really like this blender and so does my brother who has gone and borrowed mine on a permanant bases. Easy to use, quick to clean, the ideal man blender. put stuff in bottle, put on blender blade, push button and blend. Non of this 1-501 levels of blending, with a right hand blender for a contenital taste, oh and no need to install an app to your phone in order to get the blender to work.
Also just ordered a 3rd one for someone else who has there eye on my blender.

Good product for the price. I love the pink!

Blender arrived with the blender base, two bottles, two lids and a blade.

It’s quite loud to use, I’ve attached a video, which I do hate but I guess all blenders are. In the video I am blending almond milk, vanilla protein powder, thick rolled oats, peanut butter and ice. The blender had no issues blending it to a smooth consistency so I am pleased.

    Loud but does the job

Simple to use.. plug in and press the button.
Love how you can use the drink container that comes with it to drink straight from immediately.
I use it for frozen fruit and protein shakes, it blends very well and quickly, and the best thing is, it’s really quick to wash.. no fiddly bits and none of the extra bits and pieces required that some blenders use that you have to take apart.
Can’t fault it.. perfect for gym goers.. and someone needing a quick smoothie there and then.

I bought this as a speedy replacement when my blender broke. I only use this for protein shakes and it does the job I guess. I often find it doesn’t mix well and I have to take it off, shake it and then reblend it. Handy that there’s less washing up as you’re making and drinking from the same container.

This blender looks really good in black and rose gold. It only has one cup and not two which you get with the green and cream model but that is ok with me. You can buy other cups but they are not cheap at 11.00. It is reasonably quiet and works well for hard vegetables too which is important. It runs through beets and carrots easily. After juicing you change the blades for a plastic top and can add any super foods and then take out with you for the day if you want. I would definitely recommend this machine if you are looking for a super quick and easy to use and clean model.

Cronches through ice no problem. Pulverises my frozen fruit into smoothies. Ground oreos into dust for an oreo cheesecake (with a little encouraging shaking!)
I am careful not to blend in longer than 30 second increments (without a break) and please note if you don’t screw the blending lid on properly, it will leak everywhere due to the slightly odd design. However for smoothies, slushies and processed food it’s fantastic. Very impressed.

I get mine out in the warmer months and make a blend or two, maybe half a dozen times, then it goes back on top of the cupboard. Bit like a toasted sandwich maker, no? The inclination just ain’t there on a daily basis. This smoothie maker works fine, but I have detected a burning smell on occasion. I’ve had two of these things and both of them made the smell. If I used it everyday would the functionality deteriorate faster? You’d best read all the reviews to be sure.

I have used this blender every day since I purchased it and it really is an excellent product. Super easy to use with frozen fruits for smoothies. Also great for making proper milkshakes with ice cream. Really easy to clean, just mix warm water with some soap and use the blender to clean the bottles. The addition of a second bottle is also really great and allows me to prepare another to keep in the fridge for later on in the day.

My only complaints are that the bottles are long and quite thin. Smaller fruits can make it slightly more difficult to blend, but I just remove from the blender, shake the bottle up a bit and then start blending again.

Also, as others have mentioned, there is a rubber smell during operation. This comes from the motor itself and has nothing to do with the rubber seals on the bottles or caps. Whilst the smell is not great, it has not given me any cause for concern and I am assuming it is just because the product is new as over time the smell has lessened considerably.

I would highly recommend this blender. It is really great value for how much you get, and the overall build quality is excellent. It is easy to use and clean, and it has helped me so much in adding more fruit into my diet. Very happy with this product.

    Easy to use and convenie

This is the 2nd 1 I’ve bought. Had the 1st for about 5 years and it’s still going strong but needed replacement bottles and it was actually cheaper to buy the whole thing than it was to buy 2 bottles. It gets used daily for morning smoothies and it makes light work of all ingredients, including ice. Only thing I’d say is that if youre adding powders such as protein powders, put it in after the liquid as it can get stuck at the bottom and i usually find myself scraping it with a butter knife.

Definitely the loudest household applicance I own, but does the job great. Hopefully it’ll hold up for a long time to come.

My main complaint is the bottles that come with it are very difficult to open – great for avoiding spills but can be painful to prise open when you are ready to drink! The screw top is fine though, just the flip lid is difficult to use.

Delivered the next day through prime which is great! Went out and bought loads of fruit and juices to blend. The blender works really well with ice and frozen fruit. Blended them within 1min which is fantastic! Stylish design which goes well in my kitchen. Only comes with 1 bottle, for some reason I thought it came with 3 so a bit let down by that. But overall a brilliant product not too loud, but would close the door if people around you are asleep. I would recommend.

Life is busy and some tasks should be simplified. Breville Blend Active Personal Blender & Smoothie Maker is a good value tool to make life easier. Just put the ingredients into the bottle, close, blend and voila: a nutritious drink to have before a run or after a workout.

This comes with two portable blending bottles, which are truly leak proof. Occasionally, I use them as water bottle for my outings with the kids. Bottles are also sold separately (a bit pricey though) should any of them break or develop leaks.

It is compact and does not take much space. At the same time, it is powerful enough to handle frozen items.

As you always have to detach the blade from the bottle, they will always be cleaned for your next creation.

Use this for blending my protein shakes after a session in the gym. Copes with around 400 ml of fluid, milk and water. Scoops of glutinous powder and a sliced medium banana. It is, however, noisey in operation and requires care to lock the blades in position on the blender. Slightly over and it jams! Reliability? Haven’t had it that long and as usual Amazon want a review as soon as! Keep you posted.

This is my second, having mislaid the blades (then found them again, not having used the maker for a while.
It is so convenient to use to get a healthy, refreshing drink. I have equipped myself with various cartons of juice including beetroot, prune , carrot and cucumber. also a collection of fruit and vegetables -frozen and fresh – broccoli, spinach and kale as well as a small piece ginger and a bag of mint. No need for recipes you just put in what ever takes your fancy. All of one juice, or a mixture, handful of this and that. Couple of minutes. and you have a cold refreshing drink. The lidb with it’s mouthpiece is very convenient. I have tried yogurt ginger and honey, while the taste was O.K. it was very runny. If you want recipes there are a few in the booklet but there are more exciting ones in the BBC recipe selection. I make 3 smoothies a day, If I wan’t a more sustaining breakfast Fine if you are vegan or vegetarian – just choose you have control of the ingredients. I have also increased the amount of cooked vegetables in my diet and generally believe my digestive system is behaving better as a result, Greener poo and pinky wee were a surprise!!

I used to have a Kenwood smoothie to go – similar in design but lost some parts moving and couldn’t buy it again. This is a great little smoothie maker and a fast blend in no time. Good value and comes with 2 bottles, I make them up the night before and ready to go in the morning. Easy to use once just push one button you get the knack of lining up the base with the bottle and no leaks from bottle in my bag.

    – The only thing I really noticed and I know blenders are not quiet but this was much of a higher pitched sound and noisier than my old one and really more conscious waking up other household members! But for the price I really can’t complain.

This is much quieter than our old Breville Active Blender. I got the pink one and it’s a good sturdy unit. The blender attachment itself is good quality and the blades are great. The design of the bottles themselves make them easy to handle and they hold a lot of liquid. I make fruit protein smoothies with this and I was left with no rogue chunks of fruit at all.
This is an absolute bargain (I paid 21.99) and is worth every penny.

I bought this with one of my birthday vouchers and I’ve loved it since my very first smoothie using it!

It’s quick and simple (but very noisy) to use and an incredible way to increase your way to getting more of your 5 daily portions of fruit and veg.

I’ve used it with raspberries and blueberries along with soya milk (‘cos I’m allergic to animal dairy) and it’s a quick (done from start to finish in under 15 seconds), easy and delicious way to get the goodies into you without any hassle.

Next up for me to try is blackberries (when they’re in season, obviously) and bananas (which will take a few more seconds to blend ‘cos they aren’t as juicey as blueberries and rasperries but in the 2 weeks I’ve had this brilliant machine, I’ve had more fruit and protein (from the soya milk) in my body than the rest of the year combined.

If you wanna get more fruit into your diet but don’t fancy the preparation of the fruit, then invest in this machine and a couple of punnets of raspberries (I recommend 20 per 600ml to start with, then adjust it according to your preferences) and a couple of tubs of blueberries (45-50 berries to start off with if you’re having just a blueberry smoothie or 30-35 if you’re combining them with the raspberries), and invest in a couple of litres of milk. Keep the smoothie machine in the same area you spend most of your time and the bottles in the kitchen so that you can just grab the bottle, fruit, blades and cap at the same time. I’ve got my machine in it box within reaching distance of the sofa so that I can just bring the fruit, milk, top and blades in at the same time, then just splash the milk into the bottle until it hits the appropriate mark (either 300ml or 600ml), open the punnets of your chosen fruit, count in the amount of berries you like, screw on the blades, turn the bottle upside down, attach it to the machine, put your ear defender things on, press the button for up to 10 seconds, detach the bottle from the machine, turn it the right way up, unscrew the blades, replace with the cap and drink. That really is all there is to it.

Washing it up couldn’t be easier either – drain the goodness out of the bottle, fill it with 300ml of water, screw on the blades, shake vigourously for 10-20 seconds (depending on how dirty the bottle is), unscrew the blades, empty out the water, refil with clean water and repeat the shaking with the lid in place et voila! Done and dusted in under a minute!

I definitely reccommend this to absolutely everyone as a quick and easy (but very loud) way to easily get more good stuff into your body – I don’t know what I did without it in my life now!

Makes great smoothies, so simple to use and pulsing it up is really easy. Have also chucked in an onion, some mushrooms and tomatoes etc to make a pasta sauce and it worked a treat! Good addition to the kitchen. My only personal criticism is the lids aren’t very arthritis friendly! It’s always fun having a smoothie explosion between a 7 year old and a 34 year old because neither of us can open it LOL. On the whole though it’s brill!

These are fantastic! I bought one for myself and have since bought another as a present. The blending power is great, it blends frozen fruit in smoothies perfectly. Using the bottle as the blender is so handy. You can make a quick, healthy breakfast to go in a minute. The price is so low compared to some other brands but the quality is fantastic! If your on the fence about buying it, go for it, you won’t regret it!

I got my breville smoothy maker cheaper because it had been returned. When I first used it you press the cup down , twist and it locks into place . It was quite stiff to get it to lock . But I have arthritis in my hands . Once I,d used it things were easier every time . Its compact , easy to use , and the smoothies are lovely . I love the lime green colour and the compact design . Somebody said easy for kids to use . No no . The blades are sharp and exposed in the lid . young adults 12 upwards .But this is not a toy . Short blasts ensure you don’t burn the motor out , so be kind to your new pal . Love my new breville

Probably my best purchase so far this year. It works incredibly well, and is excellent value with all the extra cups. I have smoothies most days for breakfast, with ice, frozen berries and protein powder etc. It powers through everything and gives a smooth blend. Purchased to replace a much more expensive high end branded model that was rubbish. A couple of small niggles – it can be slightly tricky to get it onto the base in the correct position to blend, and you have to hold the button the whole time it blends. But absolutely worth every penny.

I’ve now had this for a whole and wholly recommend! I can blend and blitz within minutes and off I go. It makes smoothies perfectly. You do have to ensure you line up the dots – I made the mistake of not doing so once and it a task and half trying to remove without spilling the contents . If correctly lined, works like a dream and I have no hesitation now in making my brekkie smoothie in the mornings. The size is also compact so great for space saving and storing away.

Absolutely love this product, this is the second one I’ve bought. I wanted a replacement blade, but it was as cheap to buy a new unit – so now I’ve got two! It’s I’ve of those products which you don’t know how useful and versatile it is until you have one. The obvious use is smoothie maker, whizzing up frozen berries, tinned fruit, fresh fruit, yoghurt, milk, juice – whatever you think.

But I’ve found it incredibly useful for things like batters and sauces. In one clean, compact, “fridgeable” container I can thoroughly mix pancakes, waffles, Yorkshire puddings, omelettes. Or if I’m doing a quick pasta sauce, onions, garlic, tomato, celery, carrots, seasoning and stock, 60 seconds later you’ve got a smooth perfectly combined sauce ready to be heated through – washing up is as simple as rinse under the tap and invert on the draining board.

    Really good product, would recommend

We use this blender for making smoothies. It is so simple to use because you fit the blade assembly to the bottle as if it is a cap. The bottle with blade assembly is then placed upside down onto the motor unit. Once the smoothie is finished the bottle is turned the right way up and a lid with a drinking spout is fitted instead of the blade assembly. A very well designed product which is powerful and easy to clean. It is even dishwasher safe!

I have had a number of smoothie makers, juicers and blenders in the past but I always stop using them because they become so difficult to get completely clean.
I finally gave in again and bought the Breville Blend Active Personal Smoothie maker what a difference!
I LOVE this machine. I bought the green one as it was the cheapest and I keep it in the cupboard so colour is not an issue but now I’ve used it I would have been prepared to pay more for it.
It is a solid item that feels good quality as well as look good. It adheres firmly to the work surface but not so much it is difficult to release after use.
It is convenient to use as you make your smoothie etc. in the drinking “glass” so less things to get dirty, less washing up. It is supplied with two wide necked drinking bottles with drinking tops if you want to make and take with you. The wide opening means they are super easy to wash and so far I haven’t found they’ve stained in any way. The design means the blending tool is detachable and again very easy to clean (blades sharp of course so be careful!) . There are no inaccessible nooks and crannies for bits of fruit skin etc. to get caught in and fester away urgh! The actual motor part of the machine is also nooks and cranny free.
It is able to blend ice cubes and frozen fruits and 600ml is a generous quantity size. (There is a smaller drinking bottle available which would probably be good for children, the elderly or if you want to save space but if I want less I’ll just make less in the large sized bottle I have as it’s easier to put the ingredients in ) Spare bottles available to purchase separately too.
Having experimented with some mixtures that taste good but look ghastly I now put in a few blackcurrants (just a few as they are sharp) that turn most things purple much more appetising than sludge colour and two or three small chunks of banana (frozen as well) can give enough sweetness to make even kale enjoyable to drink.
I rarely write reviews but I think this item is so good it deserved a review and I think is an absolute bargain at 19.99 due to its sturdiness and ease of use.

I was hesitant to get this having recently purchased the Homgeek smoothie blender and having it burn out after 2 days. I was worried the same would happen with this. I needn’t have worried, straight out of the box you can tell this it much sturdier. I also didn’t expect to get 2 sports bottles, so that was a good bonus.

I’ve already whipped up a smoothie to test it out (raspberries, ginger ice cubes, frozen mango, coconut milk alternative) it was really easy to use – take care to securely fasten the blades to the bottle, and line up the dots before twisting to lock in place. The blend button can be pulsed to move ingredients around, or held down for 30sec blitzes. Make sure the blades have stopped spinning before twisting the bottle off.

I was really impressed ar how quickly and smoothly this machine blended the smoothie together. It’s super easy to clean too, rinse after use and pop the bottles and tops in the dishwasher. Done.

I personally don’t like the white/green unit (it looks cheap… but I guess it is!) and it loses a point as it could be more powerful and quieter. But at under 20 this little blender is a steal. Fingers crossed it doesn’t burn out on me like the other one

Bought this to make up my Huel everyday and it works brilliantly.

The blender itself is pretty powerful and it’s very easy to use. By blending within the bottle you are planning to drink from it also means there is a lot less cleaning to do which is wonderful.

Having 2 bottles off the get go is awesome as it means I can make a Huel for my Fianc as well without having to find a different bottle.

Really easy to use, great for making smoothies, crushes everything from soft fruit to hard ice. Used to make smoothies, slushies and grinding up food. There is a slight smell when using it at first but that goes away over time. Just fill the bottle, screw on the blades, and blend. Best part is you drink straight from the bottle you blend in. Hard sturdy plastic, comes with extra bottle. Only reason for 4 stars is I ordered a pink but received green.

I took a punt on this product because it was so cheap for a Breville. I can not believe they can make such a quality product for the money. It is extremely well made, everything is solid and the machine even has suction cups as feet to hold it still while in use. At the end of the day it is just another blender/juicer but the slimline less bulky design and portable blend/drinking bottles somehow make it less faff/effort to be bothered with. Superb, highly recommend.

It’s really easy to use but I find it a little difficult to use due to it being so loud and its very overwhelming to me (but this is just my personal experience so might not be the same for others). It blends well and it’s a space saver on the kitchen counter. I love that it comes with some recipes to try out and that it’s easy to wash out. Was a little fiddly for me at first to put in but I got used to it. Overall, I’m very pleased with it and it motivates me to make healthy drinks in it that can help me get more nutrition in my diet as I sometimes struggle to eat certain things due to texture (mostly) and taste so it helps with adding certain nuts and especially peanut butter to my diet 🙂

If you’re expecting nutribullet quality smoothies and juices after blending I’m sorry to say this is not the blender for you. It does not blend things into a completely smooth liquid like higher priced blenders will. But as a uni student I have found this blender very useful. Personally I am not too bothered about few larger bits in my drinks so this was fine for me. It’s super easy to clean and I have never had any issues with it other than the fact that I have to continue to hole down the blend buuton. I wish it could be left blending but that’s the sacrifice you make for a cheaper blender. Overall it’s really good for it’s price. But if you’re looking for top quality, pay for a top quality blender.

Amazing blender.. I first purchased this blender to start of my healthy diet again to loose a little weight from Xmas period. I had all intentions of making healthy smoothies through January, but sadly lockdown happened and home schooling started. My healthy intentions turned into me making oreo ice cream milkshake for the kids and crushed ice woo woo cocktails for myself.. The blender is amazing at crushing ice and cuts through hard Mars chocolate bars for the best milkshakes. Can’t recommend it enough.. next month il be back to my healthy diet for now January I’m enjoying making yummy drinks instead. It’s easy to clean it’s loud when crushing ice but doesn’t take long before it’s slushy consistency.

    Must for every family!

I’ve only used it a few times but seems to blend well with efficiency and is easy to use and clean. It is capable of crushing ice and frozen fruits. Compared to my last blender this is rather loud however my previous blender was handheld with less power. The are four little suckers under the base to make it non-slip which is a nice addition. It can take a few attempts to attach the bottle to the base for blending but I imagine the more I use it the more I will get used to it. My main issue was that one of the bottles it came with had a notch in the rim of the bottle which meant any time I flipped it upside down with the blade housing attached it would leak, the other bottle is fine so I just use this one for blending.
Overall, the blender seems to be good value for money and of good quality as it does everything I need it to. As to whether it will cope with the test if time, we will find out but I hope it does.

I love how neat it is, not bulky like bigger blenders. I’ve used this for my morning smoothies, it comes with a booklet full of different drinks to make too. It’s surprised me with it blending capability, my daughter wanted a carrot smoothie (thanks bing bunny) and it had no problem performing. It’s quieter than I thought it would be, and the cups it comes with are great. So easy to clean because you use the actual machine to help clean it.

I love this smoothie maker! I use it for smoothies and iced coffee and it has no trouble with chunks of ice. I’ve also used it to make Hummus that came out perfectly smooth! Remember to use it in short pulses rather than keeping your finger on the Button and you won’t get the burning smell other people have mentioned

Great blender and at this price point, you really can’t go wrong.

I’ve never personally tried this with fruit, only protein shakes using Pea milk and whey powder.

I have no doubt it has enough power behind it to do fruits and others solid foods very well.

The device is fairly loud (like all), so if you’ve got others in the home – don’t expect to be able to make a stealthy shake while others are asleep!

There is only one thing that people should be aware of with Breville, and that is replacements/extra bottles.

They are an absolute joke in terms of pricing and availability.

Want another bottle? That’ll be 11. The whole unit is 19.99 with two bottles and the mixer. Make sense? Nope.

Break the plastic lid cap? Tough.

Replacement blade? Well, the website lists it.. but you cant buy it.

So basically… If anything breaks, you might as well buy a whole new unit. Such a massive waste of plastic, which is exactly what everyone should try to be cutting down on. Instead of letting people actually buy replacement parts at a reasonable price.

Product itself is great, 5*. The shady practise of replacement/additional parts is a joke.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersThe beauty of this product is that it blends your smoothie/protein/milkshake right there in the bottle.

The blender is supplied with 2 600ml bottles that are made from high quality, durable, BPA free plastic, they are shatterproof and both have a have leakproof lids. The bottles have handy measurements on them so there is no need for separate utensils. It is simple to use, you just put your desired ingredients into the bottle, screw the base containing the blades onto the bottle, invert it, line up the dots on the bottle and the base and twist into position. You then press and hold the blend button until you reach your desired consistency. (You do have to stand and hold the button. It made quick and easy work of my big chunks of frozen fruit as if it were fresh, it didn’t take long at all to whip up a delicious smoothie) You Then simply turn the bottle and base to unlock, unscrew the base and blades off and replace it with the drinking top which has a wide drinking spout that is ideal for thick smoothies.

The book suggest that you clean the blades and bottle immediately after use, which was also quick and easy to do either by hand or you can place all of the items (except the base) into the dishwasher. I have already found space on my work top for this compact little powerhouse as I know it’s going to get a lot of use from now on!

    I highly recommend this product!

At last, I have a blender that will blend my fruit straight out of the freezer!

This was bought to replace my ancient nutribullet which is now low key electrocuting me. I was wanting a new nutribullet but couldnt justify the spend when this was 20 quid. And so far so good! Granted it is not as visually appealing but that doesn’t bother me for the price, they never stay pristine anyway. Really nippy little machine. Much prefer the touch button to blend which is a nice change, and the bottles are fab and so convenient. It’s more family friendly I’d say, my little girl much prefers it. It’s obviously still loud but I’d say its marginally quieter than the last and she loves having her own bottle. Much, much easier to clean as well.
I’d also like to give thanks to amazon for helping as my first delivey never actually reached me. Although on actually receiving my order realised there is NOTHING covering the actual product. I appreciate minimal packaging (although the box a perfume came in just a week before was enormous), but even a paper wrap wouldve been sufficient. It just means that whomever may have a desire to steal my packages can see exactly what the product is! But very happy to finally have i

Got this to have something easier to use than my standard food processor. Uses it loads already as it’s easy to clean up and makes great shakes and sauces. It does seem to get stuck fairly easily if there’s not enough liquid but I’m still learning how to get the best out of it.

Since you turn it upside down to put the blender attachment on make sure to add your ingredients backwards as the top ones will end up directly on the blades. If you put powders in first they will be up top so don’t always blend correctly.

Great to have fresh salsa at hand now.

very easy to use, however even though is says it crushes ice and you can use it to blend frozen fruit, whilst it can it really, really struggles to do it, so much so you can smell the motor getting too hot when you try for longer than 5 or ten seconds, i found i could only get it to do it if i kept removing container and shaking it every 5 seconds and it took 3 or 4 goes to get it done( this is with the appropriate amount of fluids added, i used soya milk mostly)

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNice little blender which doesn’t take up too much space. Amazon customer service is great and handled complaint but I must add this arrived and definitely looked like a returned item which is frustrating when you pay around 10 more than the normal price in a shop anyway you don’t expect to pay over the odds and get a used item.

Anyway blender is good. Put frozen fruit in and quite large pieces of frozen pineapple and handles it fine. Makes nice smooth frozen fruit drinks and cleans up nicely. These little blenders will overheat if you don’t give them time to rest in between pumps so do follow the instructions and don’t run for more than 30 seconds at a time without resting it for a minute.

I actually really like this blender and it can do a lot for the size of it, and pretty quickly too. I would say though that, always it says it can blend ice, it doesn’t always blend it very well and if the ice is at the bottom when you go to blend it, it may not blend so well. Also, sometimes I’ll come across a lump of something which isn’t always v nice! On the whole, though, this blender is great and it does what you need. I use it for making fruit and vegetable smoothies and it blends most things pretty well, but cut things up first to make it easier.

Have had a few of these bottle blenders over time and one by one they all get worn out, quite often before the first 12 months have expired too. We use ours at least 3 times a time to blender smoothies and protein drinks with various ingredients so they get well used.

We like the convenience of the bottles as the enable a blend and go approach which suits our busy lifestyles well.

The 600ml bottles are ample for a good sized postwork out drink or even a meal replacement.

Normally even after this short time of use some motors start to exhibit some noise from loosening up but this model has not done that so far. The motor itself seems to have enough poke to grind our thick shakes and crush ice without any troubles at all.

The blender attachment looks well made and with its locking clips is secure in the blender motor. Previously models had a small weakness in that you could just push the bottle down and blend then lift off which in essence wasn’t perfect as it seemed to wear the blender attachments quicker than should be due to misalignment. This is no longer the case as it needs to be securely clipped in before you can activate the motor. My joy, the lazy members of the house not so much.

Simple press of the blend button and everything is all nicely mixed within seconds. Easy to clean too, Perfect!

Easy to use. Would prefer the lid to be wider as I struggle to put my protein powder in without spilling it. Doesn’t blend to my full potential. Sometimes a few bits at the bottom. Would like my smoothies smoother. It does say it does Crushed ice/frozen fruit. Comes with two bottles. I’ve only used the one and will do so Until it breaks. Easy to rinse the blade under water to clean. The bottle is harder, as you can’t get your hand in there to scrub. It’s all scratched and plastic has started to go a cloudy.

I’m very impressed with this blender. I use it for smoothies mostly and for a two person home it does the trick. I think the bad reviews are from people expecting too much of it. It’s a small blender, designed to be a affordable and to not take up much space. If you do a lot of food prep or you have a family then I’d suggest a more powerful blender!

For my purposes it works great and I love the design as well.

Having battled with my dying blender for sometime, I decided to use my Mother’s Day voucher to treat myself to the Breville Blend Active. I love it. It takes just seconds the blend my morning smoothies (even using frozen strawberries and raspberries), then I swap the blades for the bottle top and enjoy the drink. It comes with 2 bottles, so it’s easy to make a second smoothie if needed. Also, the bottles and blades are very easy to clean.

I like this blender for sure. Its great for my protein shakes and fruit shakes. I get a little nervous when blending hard things, but so far i haven’t had a problem. You do have to hold the blend button down when blending but that hasn’t been much of a problem. Also, because the cups that come with it are the blender, and they are tall, it can be a little tricky to clean them, but by a little tricky i mean not that tricky. I just stuff my sponge in it and move it with a fork and then pull it out again. Honestly, this is a great value for money and I have had absolutely no problems with it. I would buy it again. Im only taking a star off because it doesn’t feel SUPER powerful (not that i need it to be super powerful at the moment) and it is a teeeeny bit tricky to clean.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve been looking to replace my old blender for weeks now . I was somehow uncertain looking at the multitude of smoothie-blenders out there but after prioritising certain factors i ve bought this instead .
I chose this one based on :
    -low noise when blending( check)
    -good reliable motor wattage(check)
    -fast blending(check)
    -easy to use (check )
    -easy to wash (ckeck)
    -easy to store (check)
-Bargain price!(double check on that one )
    -spareparts availible for purchase(check)
As i m doing mostly smoothies , handfull of spinach leafes and 1 ripe banana ,water and blend .Surprised at the very low noise wich means i can use it in the morning before going out for a run without creeping out my neighbours ..The price is right, the spare bottle s price a bit stingy tho, but i guess in the end it s a good deal .Bottle has 600 ml wich would be plenty for anyone ,easy to clean , easy to store ,VERY happy with this product!
Update 14/06/2020 I ve used this every single day ,i am impressed with this product highly recommend!
<<<<<<<<< update 21/06/2020 -issues with the bottle lid ,and with the lid plug , as you will see in photos ,initially i intended in sending the botle back ,but with the use of a fine very fine drill i managed to work something out and secure it properly .Observe the photos . -for this minus one star .Other than this the appliance performs wonderfull ,it s been used on a daily basis. The only issue here , they should reinforce somehow the bottle plug so that what you see in the last photos does not happpen .

Low noise ,powerfull motor, light and compact !Good value !Check the update !

Blender came with the wrong base. In the photo the notch toward the bottom on the left is larger than the notch on the unit on the right. The base with the larger notch does not work for this blender. Motor was fine, I tested it using a knife to hold down the saftey switch (specifically not recommended in the instructions) and it ran. Breville sent an entire new product which had the base on the right in the photo.
So, if your blender doesn’t work check the base. And do not take an unnecessary trip requiring interaction with people outside of your current isolation companions to return the blender, as is disappointingly required by Amazon. Call Breville, and after a few back and forth calls, and 2 weeks waiting for the post, you will get a new blender.

    Breville customer service is ok

Love it! Seen some bad reviews for this but ours has been great and we have had it a good 2 months now and we use it daily. There is the odd thing it seems to struggle to blend finely (randomly it finds it hard to finely blend dates?) but it blends down ice and frozen fruit with no trouble. I think people are comparing this blender to some well known brands that will set you back 100 and it’s just never going to be as good as them for the price is it. I love this little thing, it’s great and tucks away in my kitchen.

This is surprisingly such good quality! I’ve had it for like 3 months now, and I’ve made juices with it, smoothies with it, and ALSO powdered nuts like almonds and cashewnuts with this machine! Its SUPER easy to use, super quick and more efficient and easier to clean than a blender. It also blends quickly under 20 seconds, so make sure you don’t blend more than 20 seconds at a time. Highly recommend it!

We liked this inexpensive blender. We have 2 of these units. The first one has been used several times a day every day for the last 2 years and is still going strong. Really good at getting those annoying lumps out of protein shake mixes. Great for making smoothies as well. Easy to clean using a long handled brush.
Note that you cannot blend frozen fruit straight from the freezer with this blender. We defrost frozen soft fruits overnight in the fridge and then it works brilliantly.

Golden Review Award: 91 From Our UsersLike most products I buy, I spend a lot of time doing my research. Many of the competitors were double the price of the Breville Blend Active Personal Blender & Smoothie Maker. After using this blender every single day for the past 5 months, I couldn’t recommend it more.

There are so many positives with the blender…

    – Two bottles, these are very durable bottles, when I have finished my smoothie, I’ll wash them out and use them as water bottles.
    – Blending the ingredients inside the bottle and not a separate mixer, means less cleaning (which is the best part for me)
    – It’s easy to clean
    – Small, so easy to store, especially living in a small apartment
    – Great value – if it ever decided to stop working, it’s not going to break the bank buying a new one

The video uploaded is a quick demo of making a smoothie.

    – x1 Banana
    – x1 kiwi
    – Handful of Strawberries
    – Handful of blueberries
    – Half a teaspoon of sugar
    – 2/3 milk

I highly recommend this smoothie and it takes around 10 seconds to blend (I love it thick)

Overall, you won’t find a better smoothie maker/blender for the price. It’s a must have in every household.

It’s well made, it’s easy to use, it’s very effective and blends wonderfully. The two bottles (600ml each) are a boon, too. I would suggest everyone blend who are wanting to consume fruit but for some reason just don’t. I have made up all my own recipes which are just guess and go and they have all (so far) been yummy. I have two gripes, though… if you blend blue berries it’s hard to wash out all the bits of skin that stick in the bottle – just a hint as you need to buy a bottle brush. Also, as both the blades and bottle twist the same way I almost opened the bottle only and it nearly spilled everywhere. Beware.

Have only been using this for a week but my opinion of it is as follows:

Does a brilliant job with fruit very quickly and very easy to clean. Comes with two bottles with a snap top in order to drink but I usually pour into a glass.

On the downside is the noise it makes. If you have closeby neighbours you will get environmental health around measuring the noise if you are not careful.

I also found it was difficult to begin with to lock the bottle into place on the blender body but with use it became easier.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWas very pleased with this blender to make healthy drinks. After using for over a week twice a day.,the blade assembly got stuck in the motor unit while removing the bottle and the contents started to leak. I took out the plug and turned the unit upside down and unscrewed the bottle. I cleaned the spills with kitchen paper around the blades, then used a hairdryer. I twisted the clean spare bottle into the unit, pressed down and removed the blade housing easily.
I have investigated why this has happened to other users as well. Using a dry bottle attached to the blade assembly, I tried different ways to remove the whole unit. I have discovered that the bottle can be removed on its own easily by twisting and not pressing downwards. The instructions do not make this clear, the instructions only state to press down gently when inserting the bottle, This is what I did when the bottle started to leak, it is then impossible to remove.
I have now applied this every time when removing the bottle, gently press down with one hand and twist out with the other hand and had no more problems, I rinse the blades after use and wrap in kitchen paper.
    Hope this helps other buyers.

If you like fruit smoothies or soups, this is a fantastic little kitchen device. Easy to use and easy to clean. Doesn’t occupy too much space on kitchen top. It can blend fruit of different hardness, including skin. It also comes with two bottles.

A word of advice: I made banana strawberry smoothies and left them in the fridge overnight, but they deteriorated (turned brown and lost the original taste). Perhaps it’s only the combination of these two fruits that does this, but I would recommend drinking smoothies as soon as you make them, or the latest within several hours of making them. Soups made of vegetables, on the other hand, stay fresh much longer.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have just bought a second one of these after moving and thinking I didn’t need my old one… it didn’t take long to miss having it. I use mine primarily for blending protein shakes which it does effortlessly.

I have had poor versions of these and USB charged ones but they failed, my last one of these was still going after two years.

The beauty of these is that you blend in the bottle you then drink from, so you reduce the amount of washing up required and know that it fits in the bottle!

Care: DO NOT repeatedly put the lids into a dishwasher, it makes the plastic brittle and on two of my previous lids a crack developed which opens up when you screw the bottle lid onto the bottle leading to leaks. This brings me to the second piece of advice:
DON’T screw the lids on too tight for the same reason!

You can instead clean the bottles using the blender itself to whizz up some washing up water.

UPDATE: The blades on mine were louder than usual, I knew it wasn’t right from previous experience. I then noticed fluid leading under the blades which shouldn’t happen. Customer services for Breville sent a replacement no questions asked. Can’t say fairer than that!

Eazy to clean and does the job.
However keep in mind that the juice comes out with the pulp (natural fibers of fruit and veg you blend) as there is no functionality to extract only the juice from the pulp. You need a strainer if you want to extract only the juice from the pulp. I prefer this as the juice is much healthier and wholesome with the pulp. You can add more juicy fruits like Oranges ,pineapple, melon along with the higher fiber veg like Kale to have a smother texture to your juice.

Great product. A word to the wise. I knew it was coming in its original box without the usual amazon standard Brown box. I had no problem with this as it was for me and not a gift.
However when I collected it. it was easy to spot that the amazon sealing tape had been carefully cut for someone to have a nose inside.
So I frantically googled what the contents should be and all was there(I hope).
So obviously just a nosey person said they would have a peek at it.
So in short I would recommend getting amazon to pack it in one of there boxes before dispatching.
The product itself is well worth the price and makes awesome drinks.

I had a nutribullet, still have it, sitting in a dark corner of a cupboard after it went weird on me. It started leaking, made everything taste of burnt rubber and no matter how good everything looked, there was this mystery problem … so that’s a useless piece of junk now.

I wanted a new one, could splash the cash on a new nutribullet, might go wrong again, could buy a cheap one but cheap isn’t good right? They are more difficult to clean and break … maybe not!!

Saw this in Tesco at 30 and didn’t buy … at the Amazon price it was a bargain, arrived fast and is used every day. Does the job of blending my shakes just how I like them.

I’ve had some ice in my shake and to be fair, the ice destruction wasn’t as good as the NB, not had fruit in there as I don’t do smoothies … maybe this review isn’t that great but hey I’m very happy with the Breville and it does teh perfect job for my needs.

Before buying this I was putting up with lumpy protein shakes, as I seemed to have trouble mixing them in a way that made them come out nice and smooth. With this though all the hassle and lumps have gone and I’m actually enjoying drinking them. I now even mix half a sachet of porridge into each one and those come out really smooth as well. I’ve also made fruit smoothies and those have come out out perfectly. I did try mixing some leftover rice into a savoury smoothie but it was awful, I felt like I was doing an I’m a Celebrity bush-tucker trial. I wouldn’t recommend it. I was nice and smooth though, so that’s one positive.

It’s very easy to use, just stick the bottle onto the top and press the button. The black bit that actually does the blending is easy to rinse under the tap once you’re done.

If you’re looking for an easy way to make smoothies, protein shakes and anything like that, then I definitely recommend it.

I’ve used it now for five days and I am really impressed. It blends hard, frozen fruit effortlessly. It seems to process everything even better than the unit I spent 2x as much on. I hope it holds up! I only wish it came in more ‘kitchen friendly’ colours – silver/white/black/red, etc. The design is sleek and it doesn’t take up much room on the counter. Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersAbsolute bargain of a blender at under 20.

I’ve owned it for around 2 months. So far I’ve used it for smoothies and milk shakes, and it works a treat.

The only thing it doesn’t blend well is sultanas. Everything else I’ve thrown at it has blended easily, including frozen foods.

Lightweight and easy to clean and move around the work top. Looks good too and it smaller than some blenders so doesn’t take up much space.

The bottles are hard wearing, and the lid is the type that “locks” open so you don’t get slapped in the nose with dregs of smoothie when you tip your head back to take a sip. The fact the blender comes with 2 bottle makes this a steal!

Golden Review Award: 291 From Our UsersJust received so only used twice, 1st to blend my HUEL meal replacement powder and last night with added frozen fruits for a smoothy version. Great little blender so far can’t complain at all for 20 (They sell for 30 for all colours at Tesco so on average cheaper on Amazon).
I was worried when reading the instructions, I saw it said to blend for no longer than 30 seconds and leave the blender to rest for 1 minute between each blasts to avoid over heating the motor. Could be why some people report the unit burnt out if they continuously blended for long blasts in 1 go, but to be fair, it is so fast at blending things up, 30 seconds is pretty much enough to get a nice smooth texture. and if you do it in several 10 to 20 seconds blasts, I’m sure it won’t heat up.
Anyway, after 2 uses, I am very pleased with my purchase.

Will be trying out to blend my powder with chunks on Avocado when I get home. Should be nice and creamy. Can’t wait!!

    Update 03/05/2018:
Been using it every day since I bought it and it’s still brilliant so far.

    Update 09/05/2018:
Alas, as other users have reported, today the blad unit decided to get stuck in place. I have had to turn the blender upside down to unscrew my bottle full of drink without it emptying everywhere.
Tried putting the empty spare bottle on the blade hoping it might loosen and release but no luck.
Have contacted Breville about it just now so waiting for an answer.
It was all going so well, gutted.

PS: Read and found the solution in the Customer questions. Blade is released. All good.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis is such a handy little blender and you can really do so much with it. I personally prefer using it to make smoothies and drinks however I know people that make all sorts!
I have seen online that someone even uses this to ‘whisk’ eggs and milk together for a quick, fuss free way of making scrambled eggs.
In regards to smoothies, I find that it’s best not to put too much fruit in here, otherwise it gets a bit stuck at the top and can’t blend properly.

This really is the most simple blender out there, you just put your chosen items inside, screw on the blade cap, insert the bottle upside down with the blade connector at the bottom into the main unit, twist into the lock position and hold down the blend button. Simple! What I really like about this is that the blend button simply won’t work unless the bottle is locked in properly meaning you can’t have any silly accidents where it comes open and spills all over you like some other brands out there!

I’d recommend this for anyone looking for a simple smoothie maker/mini blender as it does it all. Mine also came with a spare bottle which is so handy to have and I was really grateful for.

I’m shocked with how well this works.
    – comes with 2 bottles
    – well made and light
    – extremely easy to use
    – takes few seconds to clean it
    – blends in few seconds
    – fairly quiet
    – amazing price

I honestly cannot find anything wrong to say about it. If you are looking for personal blender with no fuss, look no further.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersLife changer, very easy to make smoothies now, it can take frozen vegi or fruits which produce cold juice straight away.
I didnt like to go and eat fruits by myself, but that one made the life much easier, specially you dont need to wash multiple time.
The 300W motor is strong and very good till now.
The only issue that the bottle is narrow to be washed. you can’t pass your hand through it to be washed and it is quite long. but we got over it by using a long brush.
Must wash it straight away. otherwise if it things stick inside it can be impossible to wash.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersA really handy, easy to use smoothy maker. the bottles are easy to work with and don’t leak. I make up a smoothy every night, leave it in the fridge and take it to work the next day. This has been a massive help to me changing my diet and eating more healthily. I have lost a stone in two months just by eating more fruit and veg and walking more. Plus through the winter I have ensured that I get a good dose of vitamins every day and have avoided the nasty flu bug.

Golden Review Award: 114 From Our UsersI love this! Like many others, I was very tempted to buy the nutri-bullet. With the hefty price tag putting me off, I found this! So many good reviews.. And I wasn’t disappointed. I use this with frozen fruits and vegetables. Great for soups and fruity sauces for desserts and also for smoothies and milkshakes. I make a strawberry vanilla milkshake for my daughter with vanilla ice cream and frozen berries. She loves it and it’s a great way to get some fruit into the kids’ diets! It cuts through frozen fruit and ice cubes no problem. Just be sure to fill right to the top to get a good texture!

Golden Review Award: 45 From Our UsersI have been using this for a couple days now, tried out some of the recipes in the instruction manual (it contains a number of recipes, smoothies, fruit juice blends and protein drinks) with success, the blender is pretty intuitive to operate but the instructions manual which accompanies it is very clear and easily understood.

The blender unit is very compact, smaller than the average toaster, so I would say that it is something which would be of especial use to anyone who moves often or shares accommodation, such as a student, and not difficult to clean should there be any accidental spills. Included with the blender unit are two plastic bottles with the lids which have snap shut lids on them, the kind I have seen people using in my local gym, I would not put these in a bag though as the lid does not secure like a screw on lid, however, it is easy to open with a flick of the thumb. To operate the blender you open one of these bottles, fill with the ingredients for the blend and screw on the plastic attachment with the blade in it when with a press and twist attach the bottle and attachment to the blender base, there is a helpful marking on the base and another on the blender bottle attachment to assist with alignment. You can have a steady blend or bursts by pressing and holding or pressing and depressing the button.

The unit is noisy but I’ll be honest that it is only as noisy as two other blenders which I have owned in the past, these were larger pitcher blender units as opposed to this smaller convenience blender. It is important not to over fill the flasks when blending, also, I found, through trial and error, that if you use too much ice, my ice is dispensed from the fridge freezer unit but I would assume ice from a tray may be the same, or too much frozen fruit chunks form a supermarket ready bag, then these can clump up and freeze together in the middle or end of the flask (at the middle the flask is slightly more narrow). This means that the flask can require a good shake or you need to wait a moment for it to defrost, I would not necessarily say that this is a complaint, just something to be aware of when operating it.

The blades, I have found, are able to operate with ice chunks, frozen fruit chunks (pineapples, mango pieces, mixed berries) without any sticking or grinding, I have not tried it with harder vegetables like carrot chunks but have no reason to suspect that it would not be able to blend as easily as it did the ice chunks. Also, as I say, I have been using it for only a few days, so I can not comment as one other reviewer did about the likely wear and tear on the blades or cost of replacement. On the other hand, as yet another reviewer has stated, there are flasks for the gym, of slightly different and larger design perhaps, which cost about the same or just less than the whole package of two flasks and the blender.

I am looking forward to blending vegetable drinks in this, also making cold soups or preparing soups which can be served heated up, so I will provide updates. This is a product which I have used daily, a few times daily actually, since I have had it and it is much easier to clean and more compact to take out and use and store away again than other blenders I have owned (these issues were largely why I stopped using those blenders actually).

Cleaning can be undertaken largely by wiping it over with a damp cloth, the flasks and their tops can be rinsed clean or washed in the sink, the blade attachment can be rinsed under the tap or washed with a cloth. If not operated properly, ie using the bladed attachment with the flask not properly screwed in place/attached or without the flask in place/attached at all, this is likely to be unsafe, so I would say it should be operated by adults or under close adult supervision.

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersAmazing. Its so easy and simple to use. Takes less than 5 mins to make a delicious smoothie. Its so quick and easy. Chuck whatever fruit/veg and liquid you want in your bottle. You can buy frozen premade smoothie mixes from supermarkets (no need to defrost) which makes the process even quicker. Screw on the blade. (The blade attachment fits directly onto the bottle so no big jug to clean afterwards.) Hold the blend button to blend takes about 1 or 2 minutes depending on what your making. Unscrew blade attach bottle head and your done. Only cleaning required is the blades and that is super easy too.
You can even make iced coffees .
It takes up hardly any room on the side. This is the best smoothie maker, beats the more pricey ones hands down. Comes with 2 bottles.
If you like smoothies or are debating whether or not to give it a go for 18 you can’t go wrong. Its worth it and I’m so glad I bought one.

Golden Review Award: 115 From Our UsersLove it, what’s more to say.

My colleagues were Amazed it blended raw carrots apples and spinach the other day. I keep it at work so incan make healthy shakes and i’m not tempted to head to the vending machine or cafe for a snack!

It’s really powerful really easy to clean stores well and haven’t had a single problem and I’ve mixed everything from hard for vegetables 30 soft fruit like bananas berries.

The bottle seals really well I was worried about leaks but it’s fine for me as I get more liquids and as I keep at work the bottles stay my desk in the cupboard in the kitchen.

Really versatile definitely recommend hope this helps you decide!

Golden Review Award: 147 From Our UsersI have waited a month before leaving my review because before I purchased this blender I had read quite a few comments about the motor breaking with a few weeks which made me a little dubious.

So far so good, I have had no issues at all and I think it’s a great gadget. I have used it twice every day for 4 weeks now to blend smoothies and it still does the job as well as it did on day one. It’s great value for money and I did not expect it to be as good or as powerful as it is for the cost so I have been pleasantly surprised.

It’s so easy to use, no mess, easy to clean and produces super smooth smoothies at a bargain price! Love i

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThat’s AMAZING!!!
I had in my mind to buy the NutriBullet for quite a long time, now I finally decided to make smoothies for breakfast to improve my diet, so I did a deeper research in the world of blenders…. and then I found Breville!
I have to be honest , I didn’t know this product, I discovered it thanks to an email received from amazon itself. The email was a selection of the best blenders and when I saw this one was 19.99 my attention was completely towards it. I read a lot of good reviews and I decided to buy it.
Best Decision EVER !! Now I have my blender to do all the smoothies that I want … and still 50 quid in my pocked to buy something else (in compare to the 79 of the NutriBullet ).

I received it only 3 days ago, so I can’t judge the durability of the materials, but I can definitely guarantee for the quality of the smoothies that it great!
I usually put oat, milk and different fruits (sometimes frozen) and in 30sec max one minute the smoothie is done and perfect.
I suggest not to keep it going for 30 sec continuously, but it’s better to bled with 10-12 seconds intervals for best results.

The two containers are perfect and it takes to me 5 min to prepare my breakfast and take it with me to drink it on my way to work.
Sometimes I prepare two of them so I have a great snack for the afternoon as well.

Easy to clean and no problem to go in the dishwasher (but it’s so easy that most of the time I just wash it in the sink)

I highly recommend this product to everyone that wants to do shakes and smoothies and don’t worry if the power is half of the nutribullet, it just takes a bit longer to have the same result, and honestly I with like to find some bits in my smoothie …

This is one of my favourite and most used kitchen appliances. Designed for the heath-conscious smoothie maker/drinker, this device allows you to blend together a smoothie or protein shake and drink it directly from the vessel in which you’ve made it.

Basically you have a plastic bottle that you fill with your ingredients and screw on the blade assembly to (blades facing into the bottle, obviously!), you insert this into the base unit, press the button on the base unit and your stuff whizzes up and blends inside. You then remove the plastic bottle, turn it upside down and remove the blade assembly, replacing it with a plastic lid. Hey presto! You now have a drinking bottle containing your smoothie or protein shake!

The blades are tough enough to blend frozen fruit, allowing you to purchase cheaper fruit in bulk and store it in the freezer before use. This also gives you a wonderful, refreshing, superchilled smoothie. Another advantage of using frozen fruit is that (reportedly) less nutritious value is lost due to exposure to air and light as the fruit is being transported, as it’s usually frozen close to the time that it’s picked.

I also use my Blend-Active for protein shakes, as it is great for making sure that there’s no lumps or horrible powdery bits in the drink. All I get is a super-smooth, creamy drink of the same consistency as a medium-thick milkshake.

Cleaning is so easy. After use, just rinse out the bottle and blades, put a drop of washing-up liquid in the bottle, add hot water and put the blade assembly on. Then you put the whole thing back onto the base unit and whiz it up again! Every few uses, it may be an idea to give the bottle and blade assembly a clean in the dishwasher, just to be sure.

I’ve had my Blend-Active for over a year, and it’s still going strong. Definitely a great purchase and one I’ve recommended to friends.
