Easy to fit and looks grea
This was so good and easy to fit that we bought another! Easy to fit, be sure you don’t need longer tails than what is supplied and you’ll be very happy. Time will tell how long this lasts in hard water areas.
Really is easy to fi
I bought the tap after our last tap failed. Having fitted sink taps before I knew how fiddly these can be to replace. I saw a video of the Bristan easy fit and decided to give it a try. It wasn’t cheap and could have got one for half the price but was wary of the quality. I have fitted a Bristan bath filler and that has been fine. The hardest part is getting the old standard fittings off. Namely the nut(s) under the sink. I bought a set of tap box spanners for 10 which made that job a lot easier. Fitting the new tap was pretty straight forward as it is secured from the top. The tap body is secured with 2 small grub screws. TIP ** put the plug or something similar in the plug holes so you don’t drop anything down the drain. The tap came with two flexible hoses which are easy to screw in from below. In the future if I need to replace the tap if I get an easy fit it would just mean taking the tap body off from the top. No need to contort under the kitchen cupboard. The product also comes with a 5 year warranty which I registered on line at Bristan.
Well engineered
Most of the DIY chain retailers have a well thought out policy that usually means additional components are needed to install this kind of unit.
Bristan have given a great deal of thought to the design and installation of this tap unit. Everything is included, instructions, tools and additional components. All you need are a couple of spanners, the rest is supplied. Follow the instructions carefully and you will have no problems fitting this unit to standard British copper pipes. The quality of each component is high end and the design makes it easier to fit, mostly from the top end of the work surface rather than in the confines of the under sink cupboard.
Easy flowing.
This tap is well made, and my personal experience of Brisbane products gives me great confidence. This is the third tap installed for me over the past five years, and just looks so much more robust than other similar styled ones that are cheaper. You get what you payed for.
Smart matt black finish
The plumber sorted and fitted in a short time. Worked from top of installation instead of underneath. Brilliant.

This was a replacement tap fitted to a stainless steel sink. The product is really well designed, especially the base fitting. The pack contained everything, including the extra plastic washer for thin stainless sinks (despite the instruction booklet saying ‘not supplied’ – it was there). The instructions are clear and easy to follow. This is probably the easiest plumbing job I’ve ever done! The tap looks great too.

A plumber installed this for us, really nice looking tap, the only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is because it randomly drips, only for a few seconds, and not every day, really is random, I had read this on other reviews, but no real problem.

Had this installed by the Amazon approved guy, he was prompt, tidy and knew what he was doing, in and out in 45 minutes, Tap looks great, highly recommend.
Wobbly base
Looks nice, easy to clean but doesn’t seem particularly sturdy.
It is a little wobbly at the base.

Easy install? Certainly was! Got a plumber to do it. Nice and shiny. Doesn’t drip like the old one.

This was so easy to install, no additional tools were required. It was actually more difficult to get our old tap off.
It has broken within 2.5 years
I am very disappointed with this product – it has broken within 2.5 years of it’s instillation, and along with the cost of having it fitted was an expensive mistake!
Updated: Bristan supplied spare parts under warranty that fixed the tap. So I would be happy to move from one star to 4 stars. They had very good customer service.
Ensure there is no loosening of the grub screws .
This was w replacement for similar model so it was just an off/ on excercise. Previous tap only lasted about 5 years.
Good looking quality tap
Once in place easy to replace with a different style or maintain if problems arise – although neither situation likely!
There are lots of cheap taps, like there are lots of cheap shower heads, but spending a bit more tends to provide for a better product and that is the case with this tap I think. A solid feel and delivered with a quality set of fitments meant my plumber was able to fit it within the hour and made for a quality job.
Bought this to replace a Franke Davos tap which only lasted 8 years. Let’s see if this will be better. Not too difficult to install and the brushed finish matches the sink well. The tap levers are very easy to use.
Some people have commented on the ‘over run’ when the tap is turned off but this is just the residual water trapped in the spout which siphons out and is no big deal. I think the only way to avoid this is to buy a tap with a more angular spout. The most important thing is that my wife likes it.

Delivery very prompt and well packed would give 5 stars. Tap Is very good and easy to fit however does tend to run on for 2 to 3 seconds this I was informed is normal for this type of tap.
Looks good & feels robust when fitted & has a very controllable flow with minimal splash back. The over run of water after the tap has been closed, is a little annoying & wasteful but I can live with it.

Let me tell you about my kitchen tap. The kettle would come perilously close to the water in the washing-up bowl with the old low slung tap. Since I bought this, kitchen life has been transformed I tell you. This tap is excellent quality at a reasonable price, given that quality.

Very pleased with this tap although there is a lot of ‘run on’ after turning off. Solved by removing the diffuser and inserting a small movable spray, originally purchased from Lakeland Plastics..

This is an attractive kitchen mixer tap, with a nice elegant design. It feels well-constructed and is nicely finished. As of now (very new) the flow from both hot and cold taps can be very finely controlled. This tap can be used on both high and low pressure water systems. For people in the UK, it’s worth noting that (according to plumbers, at least) Bristan taps are easy to repair as they age, as the spares are readily available and easy to identify, unlike many similar taps imported from Europe (Italy mainly), where if your 5- or 10-year-old tap starts to leak, you’re likely to need to buy a whole new one as your UK plumber will not be able to find spares.
