This saw is great value. Does all that more expensive brands can do!
You get what you pay for and this is a belter of a cheap saw.
If you want bells and whistles then pay way more, if you’re happy to pay cheaply and get a saw that does what’s needed, ‘no frills’ then buy this!

Not a bad back up for what it costs, if your an avid DIYer I don’t think you can go wrong

Arrived next day, unpacked and tried it out, really pleased, good depth of cut and quite powerful, a little bit noisy, but I expected it to be, overall very pleased with it, and at a great price.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is an impressive saw for the price and meets my needs. So far it cuts through my pallets without any issues and was the reason I purchased it. It does throw out a lots of wood shaving so my advice is to fit the attachment (included) and connect a purchase a dust bag (Not included).

I was in need of a power saw for use on some DIY projects I was working on, as well as some DIY I was helping with at Scouts:

    – The saw came in a nice, simple yet smart box with the saw, spare blades, and a very in depth and simple to
    follow instructions.
    – The saw is nicely weighted and isn’t too heavy. It also feels really nice and robust!
    – As all power tools should, it has the required safety features that are excellently made! Better than other
more well known brands I’ve used!
    – It has several angles to set it to, and different heights to get the blade to for different cuts. It’s super easy
to move and position the blade on these as well.
    – Cutting wise, it cuts like a knife through butter! It’s such a pleasure to use and creates such clean, straight
    lines!
    – The heat distribution system to stop this from overheating also seems to work a treat as it doesn’t get hot
    at all!
    – It actually doesn’t produce much mess either weirdly which is good!
    – It is noisy, but then it’s a circular power saw so don’t expect it to be quiet.

I would highly recommend this! Over most big brands as well! It’s well worth the money!

A superb piece of kit for the money, I was worried about getting a low-price bracket tool like a circular saw, but the Jellas saw is very well built and feels safe and sturdy in use.

Its not the first time I’ve used a circular saw, all the safety features you expect to see are there.

The saw comes fitted with one blade and two more in the box. It has a maximum cut depth of 65mm at 90 degrees which should be ample. The cord length is 3m which is good.

I’ve got a host of DIY jobs lined up next year when we move into our new house so I’m very glad to have this to hand.

The one downside for me is that it didn’t come with a plastic carry case, you would need to keep putting it back in a cardboard box. Funny enough the circular saw I borrowed before was in a cardboard box as well?

I have used many different types of circular saw but I have to say that this one is great to work with and very easy to
For the price it’s better then the ones that are more expensive. “

This has been really handy for jobs around the house, replacing skirting boards and alcatrave around doors. Easy to use, not too heavy to move around, it’s very good value for the money

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHad a few power tools from Jellas to test, via the vine programme. So far they’ve all stood up very well. This is no exception.
It’s 240V mains powered & provided with a guide rail to help you cut to an edge in a straight line. As you’d expect, the depth of cut is adjustable (max about 60mm deep), as is the angle (up to 45), but as with all the circulars that do this, adjusting the angle, means the depth guide becomes inaccurate. There’s a nice, metal blade cover, seen a few lately that are plastic…. Too likely to damage a plastic one, I’d think, so metal is the way yo go with this, I’d say. It springs back quickly as you should, keeping your fingers safe.
Only tjing I’d say its missing, maybe the laser line, but it’s not an essential thing, not enough to knock off a star, maybe 4.5 stars.
    There’s three different carbide blades included, 24, 36 & 40 teeth.
    Overall, a very respectable saw.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIf you are looking for a capable saw for home use on projects then this will certainly hit the mark.

The saw comes well packaged and comes with a straight guide, extraction duct, and surprisingly 3 saw blades!

The saw only has the one speed but it cuts well and the straight guide works well for giving you nice straight rip cuts.

The angle and height adjustment are simply and easy to use and the 45 degree cut guide is clear and easy to see.

I like the fact that the package comes with a selection of saw blades, along with the bolt holding the saw on it makes this great value and allows you to change blades to suit the wood quickly and easily.

Overall this is a great saw for home tasks and will be a great addition to any home DIYers tool kit.

    Great saw for DIY.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’m very pleased with this circular saw, the quality is excellent for its price range and it does it’s job very well. It’s powerful enough to go through thick wood with ease and good accuracy. It feels great too in the hand with the comfortable grips.

Safety is always very important with tools like these and I feel totally safe using it, from the build quality to the materials used. It just all feels like a well-designed product.

This comes with 3x saw blades and is packaged really well. It’s performed much better than expected and I have to recommend this.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI have used circular saws in the past as part of my Product design model making, and non compare to the sheer quality of this circular saw by Jellas. I must say that all the components of this product felt and looked secured at close inspection before use. The saw includes several safety features too which are integrated. This includes a guard protecting the blade from you, an ergonomic handle, a heavy duty guard and even a dust extraction device on the side of the product.

I felt that the dust extractor could be slightly improved as it didn’t remove all the collected dust but still managed to remove the vaster majority which I am happy about. As long as you wear appropriate PPE when using this product such as a dust mask you will be fine. It was very much effortless to cut through sheet wood and this is thanks to both the high power of this product as well as the quality of the blade too. You get a total of 3 blade when you purchase which I am sure will last a long time of wood cutting. They are sharp and heavy duty.

This product is well priced too and hence worthy of 5 stars. Highly recommended addition to the tool shed!

Thank you for reading my honest review, I hope you found it helpful! 🙂

This is a great saw for a beginner that wants to get into wood work, or wants to complete a diy project.

The saw has one speed – no speed control for different wood types, thicknesses or densities. A bit of a draw back long term should you want to cut things like poplar vs walnut, or OSB vs MDF, etc, where speed control is important to avoid binding, chipping or burning.

The grip is nice, it’s easy to use the trigger, which is on or off, no graduation. It’s lightweight enough to be easy to handle and the one speed maybe makes it a little more straight forward!?

The guide is made from bent sheetmetal which is a bit of a downside. It has good indicators for the 0 and 45 degree cut lines, which is very useful but I can see the bottom fence / plate being bent or damaged easily if dropped. If youve ever done labour, this will be dropped at some point, so a sturdy plate or fence to run on is really important for a tool like this.

The edge guide is what you would find on most saws, its really useful for making straight cuts and is a great addition.

Lastly, the extraction works really well, its a sleek duct that is made of plastic and when hooked up to a hoover or extraction system its excellent.

So in the end, a great saw that could using some features (Notably, a laser guide, a better fence and a speed control setting). But as a beginner saw, it is straight forward. One button, point and shoot, plenty of power etc. It doesnt come with a case, just a box, so keep that in mind when thinking about protecting it from damage.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery powerful saw that seems well made. Has the added bonus that it comes with three blades and the spare ones have a protective cover on the sharp ends for safety – great idea.

There is a UK address for the company which I used to get some information about the item which was given within a working day.

It is however let down by the base plate and its features in my opinion. Nothing to do with the manufacturer but this item had either been dropped or the packaging damaged in some way and I could see a bend on one corner of the base plate. In reality that didn’t affect operations but it shows that it isn’t of the most robust material.

I didn’t like the adjustment on this either. The base plate and the angle and depth measurements are completely black so trying to read the numbers was no easy matter. Finally the edge guide does not fit snugly into the base plate meaning there is play if you are using this to get a parallel cut. Far better to use a speed square.

As for cutting wood, no problem at all. Very powerful and no kick back on the test cuts I made. It will cut 65mm deep. If you try to put a 45 degree bevel on a 4 x 2 piece of timber, the blade cannot manage that.

This tool isn’t used for precise cutting other than to length so don’t expect it to do that without the use of other tools. Pity about the base plate because a couple of pound more spent on that would have made this brilliant.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis circular saw is very good quality, the hubby states its a very sturdy and solid piece of equipment. It does everything its supposed too, after I sent my hubby out to test it. His reply was its the bees knees of a saw, plus it’s very good at plunge cuts (don’t ask me what that means, I never asked) Excellent value for money.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFantastic quality with the power to slice through thick timber with superior accuracy.

The look and feel of this Circular saw, is just incredible, the grips feel fantastic the fixtures feel quality, the power is superb.

3 blades in total come with the saw and whilst cutting, I felt safe. Everything felt tight and secure.
I’ve never looked into Jellas equipment before, but on the quality alone, I will certainly be looking at other power tools they produce from now on. The only thing that I was slightly not up to par was the dust extraction port nozzle, that screws onto the side. It seemed like an afterthought and doesn’t really fit the standard of the rest of the build. But it’s small potatoes compared everything else in this set up.

Packaging was also excellent, better really than what you would expect from more popular brands and it comes with a handy instruction booklet.

    Excellent saw, I highly recommend

A great addition to my ever-expanding tool shed.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBoasting 1500W of power this Jellas copper circular saw has an impressive speed of 5500RPM, which effortlessly cuts sheet materials, hardwood doors and flooring etc with precision. The included saw blades(24T/36T/40T) are not an afterthought and are genuinely good quality and deliver a very clean cut.

Great for architraves and skirting with 90 cutting and 0-45 bevel cutting, the 90 cutting depth can reach 65mm, the 45 cutting depth can reach 45mm, and the cutting angle can be adjusted. The heat dissipation system feature works well and the saw doesn’t overheat after prolonged usage.

Now Jellas might not be a brand you are familiar with, but they don’t half make nice power tools and the quality is as good if not better than a few well-known brands I’ve worked with. They provide a 2-year warranty service and are very helpful if assistance is required. I’d happily recommend this circular saw as it’s great value and both quality and performance alike are exceptional!
