These braces have broad strong clasps which hold well and don’t damage the. trouser waistband. The breadth is very comfortable and the elasticity is strong so they hold firm and don’t move. Would recommend them to anyone. Well worth the easily affordable price.

They do exactly what they are meant to do. (Hide your arse from others) The straps are comfortable the clasps are strong. The do need a good bit of the waist band to take a hold but once you figure that they won’t come off. Well worth the money. And your work colleagues will thank you
Good for bikers
This are not as thick/wide as biker’s normal rigger braces, but just as good. The are more padded than rigger braces so less likely to cut in as they get older. The clasps are strong and grip my motorbike trousers well providing good support. A nice product and I would recommend them to any biker.
Good, not perfect. Adjustment clips liable to fail eventually.
I’ve had a pair of these for 2 years now. I’ve been mostly pretty pleased with them.
But some months ago, one of the adjustment clips fell off. I managed to replace it, but today, a clip fell off again, and while I was trying to replace it, the other one fell off. Somehow they seemed more difficult to replace than before. I haven’t given up, and will have another try, armed with pliers, etc.
However, in the meantime, I’ve gone ahead and ordered an identical pair because, well, about 2 years wear out of them isn’t too bad, and if I manage to repair the old ones, I’ll have a spare pair.
I had a quick look around for competitors, but could find nothing at a similar or reasonable price. The nearest only had one strap at the back, which I didn’t like the sound of.
Edit: Possibly worth pointing out that the new pair arrived incredibly quickly (I actually used an “Amazon hub”) after ordering.

If you want a pair that are delicate and not very obvious these are not suitable for a woman . But if you want a strong/sturdy pair then these are fantastic, great for the job ! X
Confortable and easy to clip o
The only thing I was concerned about is the stretch becoming too much, but it is all adjustable so that should not be a problem
Extremely durable, comfortable and easy to work in.
Very sturdy, very secure – very stretchy. The clips are extra rugged – they do punch through the material of your trousers waistband where attached – I don’t recommend wearing with your best, most expensive pair of dress pants but – can’t fault the make and durability. Possibly a little bit of over-kill if truth be told but undeniably sturdy, secure and they keeps your pants where you want them to be – comfortably around your waist and not round your ankles.
Pleased with the purchase but I don’t see the need to purchase again – if they stay this sturdy, you only need the one pair and, if the clips fail, then they’re not worth the cost of repurchasing, their are less expensive alternatives – they are though extremely durable, comfortable and easy to work in.

A tad on the big side
They look really sturdy. Quite big and wide but perfect for jeans and casual wear. The woven pattern make them about 1.5 mm thick. The material looks good quality and it’s soft and compliant enough to be comfortable. If you look for something to go with casual business wear you probably want something more discreet as these are quite “in your face”. Generally happy with the Item.
Keeps the trousers up!
The braces arrived very quickly, I had read reviews on the ” clasps ” not being very robust, but so far they’ve been great and are certainly being put through their paces, by someone doing a physical job. The wearer is delighted and wished they had had them years ago.

Who would have thought a simple pair of suspenders could change a life? I got these for my 88 year old dad after listening to him talk about the red suspenders he used to have many, many years ago. The look on his face when he opened the package was priceless. He wears them daily, even to church. I even have a photo of him comparing them with one of his weekly breakfast buddies. And they actually hold his pants up better than a belt (which he continues to wear also. I don’t ask questions…). The suspenders fit well, are easy for him to put on and adjust, and are apparently comfortable for him.

A very welcome blast from the past!
For years I’ve put up with the discomfort of (mainly) low cut modern trousers and belts being a notch too tight or a notch too loose. In desperation I searched ‘braces’ on Amazon and was truly astounded at the range currently available at modest cost. I am extremely pleased with my choice (aided by customer reviews!) and cannot fault the quality, appearance, comfort and ease of attachment. I am now reminded that by wearing braces (or ‘suspenders’ as our American cousins would say) it is possible to have trousers of more generous/comfortable dimensions, which never ‘concertina’ and always ‘fall’ over the shoes with precise perfection! Also, braces will, mainly, be discreetly hidden by a waistcoat and/or jacket. So what’s not to like ?

I wear only braces , I have tried more but I love Decalen ones . They are comfortable, sturdy and stretch well . High recommended.
Good strong clips unlike many others that ping off under any pressure.
I like these in particular as they are wide so they don’t dig in. They have two fastenings at the rear whereas some only have the single and can come off more easily. The main reason I have bought another pair of these is that they have strong clips so they stay on !
great fit and quality
I’m a belt man! I’ve never really worn braces. I’ve occasionally bought cheapos over the years and hated them, they were all too short and flimsy! But recently I came out of hospital and was a bit tender around the waist so thought I’d give these a try, and I have to say they are really good – a good size with plenty of adjustment and good sturdy clips, and the actual material is strong, wide and good quality. If you have to wear braces, look no further than these; they are a great buy!
Excellent Quality
I was looking for a new pair of braces that were sturdy enough to stop the clips from coming off my trousers when stretched a little. The grip these braces have is excellent. After making initial adjustments not once have these braces unclipped themselves from my trousers. Three quality of make is obvious as soon as you open the package. You don’t even realise you are wearing braces anymore as they are very comfortable, and if, like me, you sometimes wear them without an undershirt, they leave no skin marks at all. I thoroughly recommend them.

Try them - they are GREAT
I am a builder, but had shied away from braces because I understood they should not be on show. However, niggling stomach pains caused by a heavy buckled belt made me take the plunge. I ordered black to be discreet, and how I wish I had switched earlier. These braces are so comfortable – no more builder’s bum, and no more stomach pains. Have received a number of compliments from fellow workers, and even my son is considering a pair in orange! I cannot recommend these strongly enough.

These really are heavy duty braces, my last pair of cheaper one didn’t last long, I’m sure these wii. With strong straps and good grips – double at the back – they feel very secure. Quality usually pays cheap doesn’t!
Very Comfortable
I’m now at an age and shape where it’s increasingly difficult to know which part of my anatomy a belt should surround, resulting in ‘safety’ being uncomfortable, and comfort being ‘unsafe’. These braces have solved the problem ensuring my trousers are both comfortable and safe.

My opinion of Decalen men’s braces
I like these braces as the clips are very strong and you can have confidence that your work or dress trouser will be held in place no matter what activities that you are involved with.
Stylish, sturdy and a reasonable price.
I’ve had these on my cotton work pants. I drive a Disabled access minibus, so are constantly getting in and out of it and securing wheelchair users. When they arrived one of the clips had come out of the pivot holes. No big deal I just closed up the width of the pivot bracket, it has been okay since. I gave 4 stars because whilst the clips have never come off the waistband, they are almost off at the end of the day.
However the straps are very comfortable and are easily adjusted. The material seems very robust. They also look good. I think on thicker material such as jeans, the clips would hold better. This is just my observation though and I do manage to rip work trousers in my job, so the braces are having a tough life. I would recommend them though.

Excellent quality braces which are easily adjusted.The woven elasticated material used is high quality and comfortable.The clips are strong and are unlikely to come loose.I chose the dark grey colour which is very neutral when wearing a suit and look good even when not wearing a jacket.

Just what I was looking for. Decent, Non-leather synthetic work braces, very hard to decipher if any braces contain leather but I’ve got them now and they do not and I’m pretty sure it’s entirely synthetic therfore vegan. Would be nice to. Have confirmation from the seller but couldn’t find a website.

Like everything about those. Last time l wore one was when l was in primary school and 35 years later l’m asking myself why did l torture my body with belts for so long!
This are so wide, adjustable and comfy that l don’t even know for 8h shift that there are one slung over my shoulders and trousers stay in the desired position without any adjustment through the work day. That is plenty plenty of reaching, carrying, bending down and squatting.

Faulty clips
I have bought a few pairs of the braces. There is a problem with the adjustable clips they are prone to come off.The joints need to be pressed closer together to stop them coming apart. I have fixed the issue a couple of times.
Strong and reliable
Just what my husband wanted. He had others, but they kept popping off, which was embarrassing as he lost his trousers in the process. I read one man’s review who complained about the logo on the clip, and how he wouldn’t feel safe walking around Luton. Trust me, nobody would get as close as you’d need to in order to see it. Hope I have allayed a few fears there!
Good quality
These are the first braces I have had so cannot compare, but they fit well, stay attached and are comfortable except for the cross point at the back which I am aware of but it’s not bothersome. I have worn them a few times for most of the day and they do not come loose. A good first pair in my opinion.
good strong braces
I use braces every day. Have used these before, good and strong may be too much so the metal catches are very strong. I am an OAP and one consenquence is my nails are soft snapping on and off these braces are a bitch. But they last and last and have never slipped off on me.
Clips grip trousers very well
Excellent braces.Have Tried a few other braces from other makers/suppliers which kept slipping off the trousers due to weak gripping trouser clips. These grip really well all day which is what you need from braces! Will be buying some more in different colours to provide a bit of variety.

Comfort at las
At 87 and not as slim as I would like, but not fat, I find these braces take the weight off my belt. What with keys, smartphone etc I had to have my belt quite tight with subsequent discomfort. I wish I had thought of buying some before. These braces are wide enough not to dig into my shoulders which is a definite plus.

These were in fact a replacement of the red pair bought about six years ago, which shows they last.

I got these braces for for My work trousers, I work in the construction industry and I like a nice heavy canvas trouser with a loose fit but they constantly needed hitching up, these braces are American made and are good, I feel they have even improved My posture
Theses braces are pukker I use them for work before I got them my arse was always out showing my crack of my chad but now I’ve had them a week my crack and my chad has been in my work trousers
I didn’t realise these were American braces until I received them and noticed they had American Eagles printed on the clamp plates. I couldn’t make that out in the blurry photograph and the advertising was misleading. It said made in Europe NOT China. Well America is NOT Europe! Amazon really should have a buyer beware policy in instances like this. I don’t like being mislead and I don’t like being plastered in anyone elses political or nationalistic icons. I’m British! I’m not an American patriot at a republican rally. There should be a fair warning system so the consumer can make an ‘informed’ choice before purchase when clothing contains political or national iconography. I would not dream of trying to sell an American consumer braces with a union jack stamped all over them without at least first making this clear to the buyer for their fair consideration. I feel personally uncomfortable wearing these braces now because I hate politicised clothing. I’m hardly going to take a day trip to luton or china town wearing these now am I? I could get hurt if somebody bearing anti-american sentiment takes offence. Its exactly the same thing as if I were to wear a CCCP t-shirt while on holiday in Texas. I wouldn’t because I might get shot! There are some right crazy people out there! These are going in the bin now and it really is a shame because they’re really good braces! Comfortable, Sturdy, Attractive… and unfortunately inappropriate for me to wear here until the world becomes a friendlier place to live in. Get a red flag policy (no pun intended) , advertise your product ethically and by all means sell your braces eagle emblazoned domestically but consider a tactfully blank face plate for your international sales in future.
Much better made than those from M&S
We bought these for my father in law who couldn’t find any of the quality of his old German made ones. These are the closest to that quality we could find, even better than M&S with the silly plastic contact points. The clasps are metal & really do have a good tight snap to them when closing. My Father in law is so far delighted.
Excellent,overcomes many issues
Just the job.So much more comfortable and easier to use for all of my hiking trousers ,summer or winter .Keeps waistband of hiking trousers nicely above base layer trousers in winter .Also can attach clips in wider position ,front and back ,so that waist band of backpack isn’t pushing metal clips against my body .Wish I’d used these years ago.

Great quality braces
I’d bought a couple of pairs of bog standard clip on braces before, used them and discarded them. I wanted to give them another go and decided to get these. I was originally wearing them to avoid a belt as I had issues with acid reflux and was told it may help. In the end I’ve just grown to love them. The clips on them are good and strong, and the quality of the braces themselves are good – they’re textured and really are heavy duty. I’ve had numerous compliments on them. The only downside is that people always want to “twang” your braces!
A fine pair of braces
I was struggling at work with an average belt that just wasn’t keeping my jeans up (I work in one of the busiest bars in the UK, so its very annoying pulling up my jeans after every five minutes of a 12 hour shift). These are the first and only pair I’ve bought and I love them. They help with my posture and keep my jeans up easily! They also are very smart and I’ve received numerous compliments for them. I would say, if you are the kind of person who cares what people think, really consider whether you should wear braces. I’m not fussed so it doesn’t bother me, but some people are very close-minded. Excellent set for work, they look decent too. I work in construction and they hold up my trousers with no issues at all – even with all the pockets weighed down with half my tool box. The straps are wide enough to spread the load across the shoulders and the fasteners bite down on my belt really securely. The elastic feels like good quality too, I expect to have a decent run with these ones and I’d happily buy some more as they wear out.
Geet big braces
What can I say, that has not bern said, they are pretty good quality as long as they stay together, and keep my pants up, I’m happy. I bought them for my bike trousers. And having fitted them they feel comfortable and strong, yet, not intusive. Many colours to choose from.
It appears to work
Still early days but these are the strongest clip-on braces I have found so far. I no longer have to check whether my trousers are slipping down. They are distinctly colourful, as the illustration shows, so when the weather is better I will swank in them. As an old man, I still prefer braces which work with buttonholes — but no such luck nowadays. However the new braces do work with Savile Row trousers.
High quality produc
Since I was an apprentice I’ve worn a belt to work, I’m a bricklayer so I’m constantly bent over or stretching up. I was always having to readjust my trousers or tuck my shirt back in. But since I’ve bought this product I’ve saved so much time not having to do that, that they have literally paid for themselves twice over. These are as described certainly thicker than another pair bought from another seller at the same time, with a not to different a type wide clip fastener. Have only tried them on once as keeping them to wear with a dress suit . Initially comfortable and the wide band and clips should like my other new pair stay put unlike my older narrow 25 mm/cheaper ones which consistently came undone when sitting, the clips at the back being inadequate which cannot be said of these broad band type . I would recommend them on basis of broad banded types being robust and more comfortable to wear than a belt or narrow braces. Certainly a dearer pair but good quality.
Well made braces
These were bought as a present and the gentleman is thrilled with them. They’re strong and durable and come in a variety of colours. As described by the seller and arrived on time and adequately packaged.
Quality product. Well made with strong clasps. Well worth paying that bit extra. Highly recommend.
(If you’re not used to braces, bear in mind three things: firstly, obvious, but you have to remove any jumper layer before you can take your trousers off to go to the loo; second, you can’t wear a summer shirt over your jeans – it has to be tucked in; third, if you wear short shirts, they can ruck up and braces are uncomfortable against your bare skin) But all that said, they really hold your trousers up well!
There are two types of braces in the world. Those that look good under a suit jacket and those that do the job properly! These bad boys are great in the latter category but also are decorative enough to get away with under a jacket too. The elasticated straps are strong and almost quilted in appearance with a good strong back panel (in signature colours) but where they really score is the strength of the metal clips. I got these because I was fed up of standard braces either having the elastic stretching too much over time or the essential clips not being able to retain their grip. No problem on either count with these braces, the clips are like vice grips capable of holding up everything I’ve worn from thin suits to heavy denim jeans and waders. If like me you’ve suffered from slipping clips and saggy straps then these will rock your world!
I don’t write a lot of reviews but these bad boys certainly deserve it. I needed some braces for work as I put lots of stuff in my trouser pockets which causes them to hang low. I bought a pair of extremely cheap braces to see how I got on with them. They did a great job but literally snapped at the join after sitting down one too many times!
But they did what they had meant to do which was to see if I needed braces – I did. Hence when it came time to get some proper ones, I opted for these and I’m so glad that I did.
You can see and feel the quality straight away. Whether down to the logo etched onto the substantial clips that affix to the trousers, the quality of the stitching and construction on the all important ‘join’ at the back or even the wonderful vibrant colour in the orange ones that I opted for.
It may be silly to get excited for some braces but these are THE ones to go for if you want some proper serious industrial quality braces. Wonderful product and I’m a delighted customer.
I am a metal detectorist and needed something really strong to hold up my trousers plus all my attached M/D gear which weighs a fair bit , and these braces do the job perfectly, so yes very pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone.
