Very well constructed/good quality shoes. Overall comfortable except Toe box area a little tight especially if you have bunions. I am having them professionally stretched in that area and hopefully that will help.

Ecco is a quality brand these are my 3rd pair of their shoes. I have a couple if leather shoes that are business casual for work love them and get compliments. You can see the quality looking at them and feeling the materials. With the quality of the shoes you can wear them all day. I purchased the goretex shoes and they are awesome. Snow and waterproof, comfy and their great with gym clothes or street clothes or dress them up

For the past few years I have been looking for work shoes that are waterproof, light and durable. I spent 100s of $ on shoes that are light and waterproof but not durable. Im very happy with these shoes, the sizing is great since I am around US 12-12.5 but most brands only offer 12 or 13 either too small or too big so a size 12 was perfect. At work I have to walk down a small ramp with a dolly of nitrogen cylinders with a wall few feet ahead, first time having these shoes on I was surprised at the level of traction and how I was able to stop mid ramp (before I'd get dragged down by the dolly). Definitely buying another pair.

I'm replacing my tires pair of Northface Hedhog Goretex shoes that I love but TNF stopped using Goretex and switched to some in-house waterproof membrane that I don't trust. The Goretex shoes I'm replacing have been used every day vigorously at home and at work and have never leaked once. These shoes are great from the word go and are just as waterproof as my last shoes (so far). The only thing I'd criticize is that the branding is very subtle and although they are nice looking and under close inspection, the materials are obviously high quality, they almost look like they could be cheap shoes. I've actually had a few friends ask me if they were cheapos until I revealed the Goretex tag. I'm no snob, but it's a little annoying at the price point that they are so generic-looking sometimes. The soles are great and the traction is outstanding. Overall, I really like them and I'd buy them again.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersVery comfortable walking shoe
Very comfortable, well padded shoe. I have to lace very tightly in order to get my heels to lock, particularly on the left shoe, but the tongue has enough padding that this doesn’t cause any pain. Width of the shoes is great. If anything, they’re wide in comparison to other Ecco styles. The sole looks awesome and feels great under foot. I got the Navy Upper/white sole combo and was pleasantly surprised that it’s more of an off-white. Slightly coffee-tinted. Anyway, it looks better to me than glaring bright white would have, and shows less dirt. The Polyurethane looks like it will last a good long time, and there’s plenty of sole there to wear down. This is refreshing compared against so many shoes that offer tiny, wafer thin patches of rubber in lieu of a sole, guaranteed to wear down while the upper looks new.

I’ve put the Goretex to the test a few times, most in dewy fields, but one time holding the toe of one shoe over a lawn sprinkler. No leaks, works as advertised.

The Bad: I do have one major but easy to fix complaint. The shoelaces are too slick to hold a knot, too smooth in fact to hold in place to tie a firm loop. They just don’t stay tied, and manage to slip even when double-knotted.

Adding a tongue pad helps lock my heel in place without having to lace so tightly, and a heel pad keeps it from sliding. I do encounter heel slippage with a lot of Ecco designs. More curvature at the back of the shoe, aligning with shape of the foot going in to the ankle would do wonders.
