– Move cables out of the way to avoid entanglement. 5 cable ties are provided in the package to help you better organize wires and power cords.

Max suction mode on medium-pile carpets provides approx. 50 minutes of cleaning
Please follow the instructions in the user manual when deciding the position of the Charging Base to ensure automatic recharging.
The use of Bounce Navigation means that RoboVac will follow a random path when cleaning. This method is still proven to cover an entire room over time.

It took me ages to decide which robovac to buy as there were so many to choose from. In the end I plumped for Eufy which we now call OOfie and it’s become my little friend. I am disabled and I haven’t been able to do any cleaning for years (I do have help) but now I can do it myself. It’s brilliant. I can follow it around with the remote to pick up bits I can see or I can set it to do a room by itself. At the end there’s this wonderful little gift of fluff when I open its little drawer to empty it. I never knew my house was so filthy! This has been my best buy for 2019. Highly recommend.
First of all, if you have never had a robotic vacuum cleaner, this machine will change your life! I have a labrador, shedding 12 months a year an 4 cats. My house has never been this much clean and fur free.
I only had two concern with this great device. The minor one is, its dust bin enterence is narrow. If you have more tan one animal, the fur and dust will block the enterence after every usage and you need to clean the dust bin every day.
The major one, which resulted a broken gear on the wiper and a return, it stucks on thick carpets or mats and can not move for minutes.
I sadly returned it but happily used for 11 months. Robovac 15C Max may be a better option for the ones who have similar concerns as me.
I was a bit hesitant about buying one of these as I wasn’t really sure I needed it. My flat isn’t huge and I already have a hoover. But I thought I’d give it a go.
Definitely glad I did! I’ve had this set up to start every morning at 10am and it manages to find it’s way around all my rooms and back to its base every time. Not only that but it’s been doing it for 10 days now and it comes back full every single time. I don’t even understand how it’s still finding all this crap.
It generally runs for about an hour before going into low power mode and heading back to its base which is more than enough time for it to get around 4 rooms and a hallway.
My carpets and rugs look amazing all the time now and the only thing I have to even think about is popping by and emptying the draw which takes seconds.
Really happy customer!
I had my doubts but the great reviews made me give it a go. I have it set to go off every day when I’m at work and now I only have to vacuum a few corners myself every now and then. By vacuuming every day it removes so much dust before it has a chance to form dust balls behind furniture anyway. It’s so great coming home to clean floors.
The battery lasts for two hours by which time it’s normally got around my flat twice, if you have a very big place it might struggle to cover a whole floor but for most people it would be fine.
It will get stuck on any cables and sometimes a shoelace but it’s easy to untangle and it just inspires you to clean clutter from the floor every day.
Frankly it’s worth the money just to watch it going around doing its thing, the cleaning is a bonus.
I’m not sure whether to call it Bob (after the skutter on Red Dwarf) or Sweepy McSweepface. Judging by what it tries to do to the base of my floor lamp, I’m pretty sure we have a boy robot rather than a girl one. So it’s probably Bob.
Having never seen a robot vacuum cleaner in real life before, it’s quite a bit larger than I was expecting. It took a little planning to figure out where it could ‘live’ when on charge, without cluttering up the room and being exposed to damage. That’s something I hadn’t considered when I ordered it.
I got off to a bad start, with the unit refusing to work. I thought maybe it needed a full charge (which is what the troubleshooting instructions say) but even being allowed to charge until the steady blue light came on, it wouldn’t operate. Instead, the light went to flashing orange, to indicate low battery, and the unit shut off. Further reading of the troubleshooting section told me to turn the main power switch off and on. I tried that, and it’s been fine ever since.
It’s a random cleaning pattern, but one with some thought put into covering the full area, including edges. I’m amazed at just how much dust and hair it pulls out of carpets that I’ve been using a 12 month old Shark vacuum cleaner to clean previously. While less powerful, I suppose the Eufy spends an hour cleaning a room that I’d spend 5 or 10 minutes on with the upright. The only annoyance is that hair (long human head hair, not pet hair) tends to wrap around the brush, rather than find its way into the collection box. The first time I ran it, I had to cut hair from the main brush 3 times. But it seems to have got all it’s going to get out of the carpet, now.
It runs for about an hour, left loose to do the whole ground floor of my house apart from the kitchen and conservatory. It’s about 50/50 carpet and laminate. It struggles a bit with the living room rug, sometimes managing to climb onto it, but other times treating it as an edge and turning away. It also gets stuck on the ledge leading up to the patio door in the dining room, but recovers after 30 seconds or so. It only gets genuinely stuck when it’s managed to turn up one corner of the rug and run over it.
I took it upstairs and shut it in my bedroom, and it’s done a great job in there, too. Obviously it wandered around aimlessly rather than finding its base station, once the battery ran out. I’d put it on the landing, but I’m worried about it taking a dive down the stairs. The manual advises that even though it has sensors to avoid this, you should still take measures to prevent it from falling.
The instructions say the base station needs to be against a wall, with 1 metre free each side and 2 metres free in front. I’ve put it under my sideboard, where it has the space in front, but is quite tightly boxed in by the legs of the furniture at the sides. It has still found its way back to its charging station every time I’ve run it.
I bought the RoboVac last week and I was a bit skeptical of what it can do! I do have a Dyson Vac that’s great and does an amazing job! i’m a bachelor and live at home alone 🙁 so I don’t make too much mess on the floors and carpets. I have the RoboVac down stairs so it can Vac the carpet in living room and dinning room the tiled floor in the Kitchen and wooden floors in hallway! you can put it on a timer but i like to be there when its doing its job its quite Amazing, it vacuums the carpets and the carpet under my Sofa then it goes over the little lip in the kitchen and collects all the little bits in kitchen and hall way, once completed it goes back to the docking station to recharge where it begun. the dust it collects it amazing and easy to clean! I have only had it a week and used it twice and all is well!
I have got 6 cats and 2 young kids so my good old Henry was out at least once a day so I was looking for a little robovac. I decided to buy this one due to the price and positive reviews and I’m so glad I did. I don’t have experience with robovacs so can’t compare it to different model and my opinion is based solely on my experiences but my god how good he is. He won’t pick up anything too big and tends to randomly cruise around the floor but he picks up dust, sand, fur, glitter and random fluff. Quite good at cleaning the corners. Noise levels are ok, you can still watch telly while he’s on. Made my life so much easier. Money well spe
If you like a clean house but you don’t like spending your hard earned limited free time on vacuuming, get yourself a gift. A truly remarkable human’s little helper. I bought in April 2019 and it paid off the very first day I switched it on. It was effortlessly vacuuming inside whilst I was laying in the sun outside. No anymore arguing which turn, no reminding, no taking heavy bulk from the storage and carrying upstairs, no fight with the stiff pipes, no bending kneeling to get underneath furniture, no sweating when vacuuming in rush before visitors. All you have to do is to put chairs up (e.g. on the sofa or table), secure any cables high and make floor empty. All other will be taken care of — sliding under sofa, coffee table, on the door mat, between table legs, between rooms etc leaving clean shiny undusted floors. Whilst you do anything really worth your precious time.
Fantastic product – I loved it so much I bought one for my dad too. I feel like the battery on mine might be a bit faulty though as he seems to get much longer from his – and mine seems to regularly run out of battery before it’s even able to make it back to the base. We live in a small flat, so this seems unusual (and it isn’t the case for my dad, who has a much larger flat than I do) – I followed all the rules RE making sure the base is accessible, so I can only assume the problem is the battery running down faster than normal.
This RoboVac is amazing. Had it now for over a year and it rounds everyday tidying up after our toddler.
Considering how well this works, I have no idea why you would buy a more expensive model!
Not sure if it’s just us, but we talk about our Eufy like he’s another member of the family! That’s how good it is!
We did have a problem with one of the motors after 11 months of daily use. Contacted customer support and within a few days we had a brand new machine cleaning our home again. They took less time to sort that, that it would have taken for me to get our old hoover out of the cupboard. Excellent service.
Would recommend highly!
This is the only robovac I’ve ever experienced so don’t have much to compare to, but I’m very happy with the little guy. My floors are always so clean now! Don’t put it on timer if you have pets. Silly mistake, much regret. Check floors first. There’s no poo detector! :-p
Main issues are: easily gets stuck in cables; I have a recessed floor mat inside the front door it gets permanently stuck in; drags floor rug corners up or moves them if they have tassels; don’t leave clothes on the floor although shoes are usually ok; rarely it gets stuck in some awkward place behind some furniture but in the months I’ve had it that only happened twice.
We’ve brought this Hoover for our small home.
It works great downstairs, and our anxious dog doesn’t mind it.
Very simple to switch on after work and I completely forget its there when I’m cooking.
Occasionally it’ll stop in the middle of the room, or seems random even though it’s on a set mode.
I wouldn’t recommend this for dog owners with carpet, as it doesn’t seem to get a grip on the hair in the fibres, where my big upright hover makes a simple job of it.
If you don’t have carpet, this is perfect.
We got the Eufy RoboVac 11S (Slim) about four weeks ago. Every day since then it has pottered about our flat finding dust and lint from God knows where. It navigates its it way in some crazy little algorithm that somehow manages to cover all the ground! The flat has never looked so clean.
Cleans for about 1.5 hours on a single charge
Is pretty quite – I’ve been talking on the phone with it cleaning under me feet!
Comes with removable spare set of spinning brushes
Brushes will naturally get distorted from the spinning / brushing – but can be almost instantly reset straight by removing from machine and soaking in warm water
Remote allows you to easily set a scheduled time each day
Remote has “home” override button if you need the Eufy to wrap things up and head to its charging station
Remote has a “clean this area intensely” button handy is you spill something
Remote has a “clean room” button that runs a shorter (30-35 minute) cycle – plop it down and let it go nuts in one room
The slim model is quite low and gets under anything under about 8cm
The Eufy can climb/scale the edges of rugs and mats if they’re not too high – about 15mm would be my guess – we have a runner in our hallway it tackles everyday.
If it does get caught on something (shoelace, cable) it makes a few bleeps and whacks on its red warning light and then sits there waiting to be rescued
We live in flat so no stairs or other hazards to avoid so cannot comment whether this would be an issue.
All in all really happy with this little machine – makes me smile when I think about it bimbling around the flat each day keeping things spic-and-span!
was a bit weary about how good these might be, but overall I’m really impressed.
think it has got itself stuck once in the first month or so of using it ad that was my fault for leaving my laptop resting against the sofa (bumped it and got wedged). Once it dropped its collection bin, probably my fault for not clicking it home properly
its sets off everyday and copes well in my flat which is medium pile carpet mostly and lino floors in kitchen and bathroom. It gets around fine and gets 90% of the floor done. The random walk is pretty dumb but that does mean that one day when it seems to spend more time in one room its just as likely to wander in and out quickly the next day. You just need to wiz round with the vacuum to catch the carpet edges and a few things its cant get around once in a while
def recommend this
This vacuum has made such a difference to the general dust levels in our house, I was very impressed by how much it continues to pick up. We are currently putting it on each night on a timer after our small children have gone upstairs to bed. Vacuuming is the hardest job to get done with kids around so being able to clear everything from the floor and then leave it to work has been brilliant.
It’s consistently picking up a box full of dust even after a normal clean with our regular vacuum. Works well on our carpets and tiled floors.
This is a brilliant little machine, what it does it does perfectly, and for the price it’s unbeatable. The customer service is also probably the best one I dealt with in years.
The limit is that it isn’t very adaptable to your space. Make sure to measure your furniture before purchasing, in my case it can JUST fit under the TV stand, couch, armchair and certain kitchen furniture. But since none of it is perfectly straight in all places due to the weight placed on/in it, it gets stuck in all of those places. With more advanced models it’s easily rectified, but this one cannot recognise the danger and will get stuck repeatedly which is why it’s sadly not a good fit for my flat. I will be returning it, but will also look at the other Eufy models due to high build quality and high performance of this one in other situations.
UPDATE – RESOLVED!
The issue I raised in my earlier feedback below is now resolved. I am now convinced it may have been a one-off defect with the specific product I received. I must add that I am extremely pleased by the professional manner with which Anker customer service (Shae specifically) handled the matter. Even though it’s been close to a year the product was purchased, the issue was treated as if the purchase was made just a day before. I can confidently confirm that Anker honestly stands by their warranty claim. If you had any doubts about purchasing their product, don’t. They actually made good products and equally backs it up with excellent customer service. Well done Anker!
EARLIER FEEDBACK
I am a massive Anker product fan. Which is why I did not hesitate to get this product. I will say i’ve pampered this product since I got it: only using it occasionally so as not to “overwork” it. I don’t let my little ones touch it (even though they are fascinated by how it works and like to follow it around when it’s doing it’s job). Basically what I’m trying to say is that I have used the product by the book and got quite used to it overtime which is why I felt sad when I woke up this morning and noticed that it suddenly stopped working (less than a year it was got). Don’t get me wrong, I don’t expect it to last forever, but less than a year is surely not value for money. I cannot fault it’s performance when it worked, but that’s not the issue I expect a certain level of longevity when I spend a certain amount to get a product especially when it’s from a reputable organisation such as Anker.
I love this vacuum. It picks up everything. It does like to beach itself on various things, and emits a pitiful beep when it does, so I tend to run it when I’m home. But here’s the reason you should buy it. I had mine for about 6 months and it started making a strange knocking noise. Normally that would mean having to buy a whole new one and throwing it out (which is really wasteful) – but Eufy support is the best ever. I had a patient and wonderful rep who helped me troubleshoot and when it was determined that it was probably not fixable by me, they replaced it for me and made it incredibly easy to do so. I’d buy another one if I had a bigger place, tbh. You hear so many horrible stories about companies with terrible customer service? never fear, this company is AMAZING.
Our last household helper, Dobby, just wouldn’t hold a charge anymore. Our new house-elf is so shiny and impressive, we named him Shawty (because he hits the floor and gets low). I am incredibly impressed with how well he manoeuvres around the many obstacles and different floor surfaces in my small house. He goes handily from tile to carpet to hardwood to rug. He is also quite thorough (with the exception of corners) and manages to pick up a lot, even on floors which look quite clean. Cat hair be gone! The battery life is also impressive. He’s been going for over an hour solid today, tackling 3 different rooms. Finally, he actually manages to return to his charging base despite the fact that we have only 30 of the 100cm clearance supposedly required either side of the base. Very impressive.
Can’t believe how good this little chap is! I set him to run around every night and wake up to a lovely clean house. I have named it Dobby (my house elf) and had to Dobby-proof the house a little – making sure there are no trailing leads and looking out for things he could get snagged on. It is amazing how much fluff and dog hair he picks up each night. Dobby works in a random way but because I have him on every day he does a good job. We live in a long bungalow and he always finds his way back to his charger after cleaning. Best thing I have bought in ages. Super easy to set up and I am glad he is not linked to the wifi – just charge him and let him go! I also like the function that you can put him in a room and press the button on the remote then he cleans for 30 mins. You can then repeat this in another room. The clearer your floors the better it works. I love the fact he cleans under the beds. Wouldn’t be without he now.
We really like eufy. It made my most hated task a pleasure to watch . It does a good job and with the program setter it works while I am not at home.
To note empty the dust thing every day and I found 12cm of clearance to avoid getting stuck. It dont like dog biscuits it sounds like a tumble dryer with shoes in. But not a single dog hair.
The dogs dont notice her at all(we see eufy as a female name). This is why our picture is of eufy and one of my dogs sitting as it bumps into him. Btw both my dogs used to consider the upright Hoover as their mortal enemy.
I’m buying a second for upstairs
I have been wondering if a RoboVac will ACTUALLY save me time and energy, so I decided to find out. I bought this mid-range one to try it out, knowing that it was just a ‘decent’ one and it wouldn’t break the bank. This Vacuum cleaner is very easy to set up and very easy to use and comes with the bonus of a handy remote control. It’s a very good looking machine, although if you are picky, like me, you will HATE the fingerprint magnet that is the Eufy 11S.
When you plug it in, the Orange light means it’s charging, and the Blue light means its Fully Charged. Have a browse of the cleaning modes before you start, but generally, the AUTO button does well. I have short carpets and flooring, and tiles in the kitchen and this did well on them all, and the 11S actually boosts the suction when it needs to. My house wouldn’t be the cleanest, so it’s best to empty the dust collector after every run.
I found the battery to last very close to 2 hours, which is fantastic and the extra brushes and filters will definitely come in handy.
This is a great little Vac, and I will probably end up getting a more expensive one as this is missing an APP, and I found it to generally work its way around the floor with no direction, but it IS generally quiet and returns home after its finished, or when its running out of battery, whichever comes first. It worked better than I expected for a cheaper model and the battery life has to be a big selling point. I did encounter a problem though, one day I came home to find this has climbed on top of a rubber ball and was going back and forward endlessly trying to get down. I am not sure if the more expensive ones have a backup for this, but this would have kept going if I didn’t manually free it.
Please take the time to find this review helpful:), If you DID find it helpful that is :). Thank you
There are two types of people in this world, those who enjoy vacuuming and those that do not. If your in the latter camp then this is most definitely for you!
Finding myself vacuuming a white floor tiled kitchen twice a day, i decided to give an automated vacuum a go. I will admit that my thinking before the purchase was that of “its just another one of those useless bits of expensive tech” and “who in their right mind would buy a robot vac” with a hint of “This is how Skynet starts” but seriously it has given me back hours of my life, even provides some light entertainment watching it trying to mount a speaker stand, but most importantly keeps all the floors very clean!
I’ll start by looking at the downsides.
1.If you have furniture such as a table with chairs surrounding it, it will struggle not only because of its size but because its roaming logic is archaic (i mean that in the kindest possible sense).
2. The logic it uses is very simple, go forward until it detects a wall or bumps into something then turn left, try going forward, rinse and repeat. This means that what portion of the floor gets vacuumed is almost potluck based on its trajectory from bumping and turning, given enough time however it will almost certainly reach a good 80% of the floor. It also means that it can get “stuck” if it finds itself surrounded by objects and it cannot find a way out. Entertaining but frustrating to watch. My advice, clear all objects from the floor, move chairs from a table and put them on top or out of the way. Generally, the “squarer” the vacuuming space is, the easier time it will have. if you have lots of clutter on the floor not necessarily just small items (that you should be moving anyway), odd shaped spaces, or lots of furniture etc then it may struggle to get between.
3. Basic remote/ timing. Not a biggy but you can only set one time for it to clean a day, two or more would be better.
4. Struggles to go home. I realised quickly that the dock sends out an infrared? signal that requires almost line of sight for the bot to see its home. The first time, i put it almost undercover in a hidden-from-view spot (though easily accessible) and it spent almost 30 mins try to “find” its way back, it never did. This is a problem if it’s in an alcove etc. Best to place it in a very visible/accessible spot.
With those out the way the positives are..
1. Time saver! The reason i bought this was due to having to clean floors multiple times a day. Does it solve that issue? – Yes.
2. Great suction power, very surprised given the small size of the motor, picks up lots of dust and heavy bits that a normal vacuum would.
3. Lasts forever. Between vacuuming solid flooring downstairs and carpets upstairs (which requires more effort from all motors) it can easily run for an hour. Just left roaming downstairs on the hard floor / tiling between three rooms it will last a good hour and a half. Once the battery runs down it will find its way home and recharge (takes about 5 hours).
4. Good auto mode. It has in built manual modes such as edge cleaning, single room etc but auto runs through these modes whilst it moves around. It will do the middle of the rooms then switch to “edge mode” and go around the entire house following the edge, if you don’t want it to do a room just close the door. This edge cleaning is great as its often the edges that get missed.
5. Auto suction mode. When on a hard floor it will shut back slightly, once it detects a rug or carpet it will fire it up to max power. This saves on battery life and noise. But of course, you can override this.
6. Doesn’t fall down the stairs. My heart stopped a little when i saw it heading for a nosedive down the stairs, but it stops, does a little backward shuffle and then heads off in a different direction.
7. Easy to maintain. The dust container comes out very easily and is very easy to clean. I do this after every “session”. Its surprising just how much it picks up. I thought the spare filter and brushes in the box were a nice touch also (as well as cable ties).
8. Works just as well on carpets (Though i believe it is more targeted towards hard floors).
9. Fairly quiet, a convo can be had even with it whizzing around at max power.
10. Value. Even given the basic nature of its logic, this is great value for money in my opinion. I’m sure the likes of Dyson would have better navigation skills, but it costs more than 3 times as much! I can let it do its thing and by the time it is finished the floor is vacuumed.
Would i recommend this? Absolutely yes but do bear in mind the downsides as you may have to remove items from rooms / clear space – Not necessarily a bad thing though! (Ensure you tidy away any cables or torn rug edges as it will most definitely drag it around the house or attempt to chew it up)
Like many people I bought this with scepticism, relying on the option to return it when it was rubbish. However all I can say is that this is brilliant. We have 4 cats and a big labrador and Robovac doesn’t struggle at all, it’s programmed to start every day at 12:30 and it randomly bounces around the house until it decides its time to recharge. It has no trouble mounting a small fire hearth and fits under furniture easily. It’s very quiet and doesn’t disturb you at all. No trouble with door mats but willl occasionally flip the corners over. If it loses a brush just flip it over and push it back in place. We have wooden floors downstairs and carpet upstairs and Robovac takes it all with ease. The sensors are good and always identifies the stairs, turning around and heading back to the bedrooms. It benefits from being emptied everyday, but that takes 30 seconds. Highly recommended.
My first robot vacuum and I am impressed, for the price this is a really nice piece of kit. Easy to follow set-up instructions, user manual is clear and concise, simple to use controller. After leaving it to charge for a few hours it has been put straight to work and picking up a lot of dust and pet hairs that were firmly embedded in our carpets. Definitely worth following it around for the first few cleans to understand where it will get stuck or tangled in each room and make the necessary adjustments, but after that you can pretty much leave it to do its job. The long term test will be how long it lasts, but it seems well built so fingers crossed.
Like most other reviewers we love this little gadget. Smaller, neater, quieter than expected and oh! so efficient! And again, like many other reviewers, we have given it (him) a name – Watson. We have a large open plan kitchen/dining/family room with an engineered oak floor and a small rug with about 1″ deep pile – Watson trundles around and keeps it all looking clean, then goes into the sitting room and hoovers the carpet in there too. He negotiates his way around a forest of chair legs under the table, cleans right up to the edges and rarely misses a thing. He is very fond of the rug and spends quite a bit of time there. Occasionally I move him into our bedroom which has a new carpet; this is quite a challenge as it is still shedding fluff and he gets rather bunged up. He does sometimes get stuck, usually on cables if we’ve forgotten to move them. He recently managed to knock several balls of yarn onto the floor and proceeded to hoover them up, then set off back into the kitchen but found himself tethered to an armchair. I expected an impossible tangle and a long session with scissors but no, it all unravelled in minutes with no apparent damage to either Watson or the yarn. He then carried on with his job until it was time to go home. The homecoming is lovely to see: you can almost hear the sigh of relief as he backs on to his charging station and settles down. In fact a few tiny sound effects would be great. A bit of tutting, maybe, or a small cry for help when he’s stuck somewhere.
Cleaning is easy and the brushes straighten out in hot water if they’ve got a bit bent. The paper filter takes a while to dry, best done on a radiator. He does get extraordinarily dusty on top.
I’d love to give him a face and maybe a pair of antennae but think that might interfere with his sensors or whatever. Would look cute, though.
We don’t have any pets at the moment but we have been doing a lot of renovating and the dust levels are high. I am seriously considering getting a second one for the bedrooms, it’s a joy to have such pristine floors and it makes the whole house look clean even though it isn’t.
**2021 UPDATE**
So Bryan has been with me 2 1/2 years now and he is still going strong. Still holding 5 stars effortlessly.
During the first few months of ownership you tweak and tidy your house so you get the most out of the vacuum. It encouraged me to finally declutter areas you shove things to forget about, mainly under the bed and units so Bryan can get in as many nooks and crannies as possible.
When I first had Bryan I was living in a studio flat and he was a saviour. I no longer had to keep and store a traditional vacuum saving me space which was ideal. There were times however when I could have done with a ‘normal’ vacuum so I could de-cobweb areas or use vacuum bags but overall, I didn’t need a big bulky vacuum.
Skip forward to today and I have recently moved into a masionette on the first floor and honestly, I arranged and configured my new place with Bryan in mind so he can just go about his business with minimal fuss.
He works hard, still going for around 70 minutes on Boost IQ at 17:00 every day and it’s so satisfying coming home around 17:45ish to the sound and sight of carpets being spotlessly clean with zero effort from me. Its shocking just how much dust and debris he still collects daily.
He has changed my attitude to clean living. Before I had him I could be a slob and just let the place go to rack and ruin before doing a ‘big clean’ around the house, but knowing he cleans every day means I have to make sure he doesn’t get tangled or miss areas so I am more inclined to put things away after using them and doing a quick check before leaving for work to ensure the floors are clean and clear for him to do his work.
After the recent move Bryan was now expected to deal with a flight of stairs and I was terrified of him falling down them. I did everything I could to try and get him to fall (with me on the stairs ready to catch him should he fall) but he outsmarted me everytime. He just doesn’t fall and is quite happy just bouncing around the whole flat cleaning for me.
In two and a half years he has got signs of use, I have had to replace the usual parts periodically as expected and every other week or so he gets a deep clean and service where I rake out the brush bar, de-fluff the wheels and bang out/change the filters.
I cannot fault this item, I love it/him and will never be without one. Eufy have nailed it with their line of Robovacs and will definitely get another Eufy Robovac should Bryan need to be retired.
A solid 5 stars.
Below is my original review from May 2019;
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Just to echo all the other reviews here, but wow.
I live in a studio flat and need to be creative with storage and space, having a ‘traditional’ vacuum takes up valuable space and has to sit on show in the hallway.
Having read the reviews and videos, the 11s was my choice mainly for the fact he (Bryan) can get under the bed and furniture where a lot of crud collects and the price point was great. I’d vacuumed a few days before getting Bryan with the trusty old DC05 and also had a sort out of stuff under the bed to make way for Bryan to come and clean and the above picture shows just how much crud he picked up on his first trip round the flat.
Noise level is remarkably quiet, even on high power he’s way quieter then I was expecting and he is able to navigate himself around the whole flat relatively well. I did follow him intently on his first trip out and rectified a few problem areas, namely under the kitchen counter where he’d manage to get stuck everytime due to the legs of the counter being in the way and also under the storage heater he’d jam himself under a bolt and beep. A bit of cardboard sorted the kitchen out and a blob of blutak solved the issue with the bolt.
It won’t replace a traditional vacuum just yet, I use vacuum bags and Bryan can’t deflate them, but I can either launch the DC05 to the outside cupboard or get a tiny cheap handheld which will go under the sink to do that.
Battery life is ok, not great, on boostIQ I managed to get about 70 minutes across laminate carpet and rugs, but by that time he had gone round the entire flat a couple of times.
Overall, money very well spent. I love Bryan and am glad he’s come home to stay.
Initially we were very pleased with this vacuum as it did a great job. However, we purchased it in the winter when the kitchen was dark, now that we’ve reached the spring and we’re getting more sun, this vacuum is next useless. When the sun comes in through the French doors, the Eufy seems to think the shadows are walls or drops or similar, and just constantly gets stuck! We regularly get home to find the vacuum stuck where there would have been a shadow earlier in the day. We didn’t have this issue with our similarly priced V7 vacuum, which we only replaced due to a flood damaging it!
Although the Eufy is quiet, we don’t to run it at night as our dog sleeps in the kitchen!
It’s a shame as it other than this issue, it is good value for money.
I was a little sceptical, as to the efficiency etc, but now, I’m thinking “Why didn’t I get one sooner?”
The bot seems a little erratic in its method, but it’s amazing overall. I have hard floors with rugs, but have a cat and a dog who bring in bits of the outdoors, scattering it far and wide. I can set this little bot up, switch it on, and off it goes, clearing the animal debris (and more) VERY efficiently.
I like the different features for spot cleaning, edges etc and especially like being able to do something else whilst the bot gets on with the chore of vacuuming.
I’m seriously thinking of getting another for upstairs….
Have this a while now but held off leaving a review to ensure my enthusiasm wasn’t just due to the novelty factor. But no, my enthusiasm has not waned! This is a super piece of kit. The ‘big’ vacuum cleaner only comes out every few weeks now, mainly to do the stairs and some inaccessible corners. I’m quite embarrassed at the amount of dirt it has sucked up from under beds and couches that seldom get moved. Eufy whizzes around daily on timer downstairs and every few days upstairs and keeps on top of the dust bunnies. Very impressive charge will do a through job of one floor of a large house without running out of power and I only recharge between doing downstairs and upstairs just in case it might not do the second floor before running out of charge. It’s of great benefit when lugging around a big cleaner is difficult due to back problems, etc. Every home should definitely have one.
Had read the great reviews – seemed too good to be true, but no – it really is brilliant! Sleek design, great performance and ease of use. ‘Eufy’ navigates most obstacles, even in our dining room where our furniture presents various horizontal sections which Eufy will either climb over or navigate around. Even manages to tackle a very thick rug.
Most times has found her way back to the charging station and the sheer drop detector at the top of stairs works a treat.
Would have given 5 stars just for entertainment value but actually deserves 5 stars for cleaning efficiency. Also very quiet operation, even one of the cats almost wants to make friends. Now just need an appropriate name for the new addition to our family!
I was sceptical that this little vac would do the job it promised, but have been pleasantly surprised at how good it is. Unlike the more expensive models it doesn’t have laser guided room mapping or anything that sophisticated, but even so it does a pretty good job. The secret is to use it regularly and keep on top of the fluff. I empty mine every time I run it as it is amazing how full up it gets – even when I’ve run it the day before it finds another load of dust and fluff. Of course the dust compartment is not huge and once full lends to regurgitate fluff balls on the carpet which I just zap with my handheld vacuum. There aren’t many places it can’t get in to but I do have to do a check of the living room picking up dog toys and trailing wires from the games console prior to setting it off. I also have to move the dining chairs out a bit so it doesn’t get trapped under the table. I’ve got a routine now and can move/tidy everything in a few seconds. There is a feature where it will stop and turn itself off if it gets stuck or tangled up in anything but it is definitely worth keeping an eye on it the first time you use it in case there are any problem areas you’ve not thought of – it did manage to disconnect my stereo speaker when it got tangled in the wire but this was easily sorted with cable clips to fix the wires to the skirting board and it stopped so didn’t do any damage. It copes well with small height differences such as door thresholds and rugs (so long as your rugs don’t have tassels) and now I’ve had it for a couple of months I don’t know how I’d cope without it. With a black dog and two kids I seemed to spend my life hoovering the downstairs but now I turn it on just as I’m taking the dog out for a walk and come back to find the carpet is clean. I still do upstairs with my old vac as I’m not sure how it would cope with our cluttered bedrooms and obviously it can’t do the stairs, but by keeping on top of the dirt and fluff downstairs less gets trodden up the stairs anyway. Now I just need a robot to pick up after the kids and another to do the dusting and I’ll be sorted!
I have two indoor cats, one of whom is constantly shedding hair. As a result my carpets are often caked in hair and there’s often bits of litter scattered about. I used to pay 40+ a month for a cleaner, basically just to hoover up this hair.
So this is one of the best purchases I’ve made. Cancelled the cleaner. The robot vacuum does the job. It’s fascinating to watch actually (the cats agree). It’s got some pretty impressive mapping algorithms in there. Doesn’t fall down my stairs. Returns to the charge point with ease. Finds its way between chair legs etc. I have a pretty thick rug that it struggles to get up sometimes, but it finds a way. It’s very thorough and picks up almost all the hair lying about. If you have a shedding pet like I do, this little beauty will save you hours of work. Just make sure any toys are tidied away before you start it off!
It’s very quiet. Sometimes I will go check on it to make sure it’s still running (i.e. not gotten itself stuck on some cats’ string) because I can’t hear it. Suction is very good, not as strong as a proper vacuum but that’s to be expected. It makes up for it by being thorough and covers the same points multiple times. It has a remote and a scheduler (you can set it to clean every day while you’re away at work, for example). I’ve never used these though (the cat toys need to be tidied away before I start it) so couldn’t tell you how well they work.
let me say i was very secptical about one of these, but i have to say i was very surprised, it does a great job, sometimes a bit random with its movements but gets there in the end,, very quiet, great suction, it sucks up more than my 400 dyson, i have a long pile shaggy rug in my living room, it copes with it no problem, we have a dog that loose’s that uch hair it should be bald and a cat, it picks up the hairs great off any surface, i can do the house with the dyson, then set “Dirty Harry” as weve’d called it off and it collects loads more dirt and dog hairs, if your in doubt about getting then don’t be, the only thing i can’t comment about is its life span, I’ll just have to suck it and see, but at this price if it lasts a couple of year, I’ll certainly buy another one, oh and its so low that it gets under my settee and bed with no problem
Why have I never heard of this from anyone before! the robot Eufy is totally amazing. I have a very difficult medium carpet pile with lots of long cat hair that every hoover including Dyson has never been able to pick up properly. This is the best product item that I have ever brought for the home. It works so quickly on tiles and wooden floors too and can go up and down easily through doorways at slightly different heights. All you need to do is tie up your wires with plastic tie pulls and your Eufy can manage pretty much everything. I hope it will last a long time as I wouldn’t want to be without this robot hoover. Easy to empty and clean the brushes too.
This thing is great. Absolutely love it, It has struggled to find its charging base once but this was because there were things sitting beside the charging base that threw off the sensors on the robot. Cleans great! occasionally has to go over a spot twice to pick up a big bit of dirt, but simply put it on auto and forget about it (there has been a few instances where I have nearly booted it across the living room after forgetting about it)
Noise Levels: Noise is okay, If you keep it on Standard cleaning or Boost IQ it can be fairly quiet. When on Max its a fair bit louder but can be expected.
Can be controlled using the arrows on the remote.
Parts can be found on amazon as well (Spare Brushes, filters etc)
Charging time is around 6 hours from being totally flat and will clean for quite some time on standard mode, put it on Max and the battery life reduces of course.
Works a dream 🙂
This is a great product, I rarely (if ever) get my “proper” hoover out any more since this does the job perfectly!
You do have to do a few checks before you release it – it eats up chargers and tries to get into my wardrobe if its not closed and once got stuck up against the toilet. But as long as I make sure to do those before I sent it out, its great! It picks up the majority of stuff and dust that is about my house.
What I love is that it can actually easily get into places that I wouldn’t often hoover, like under furniture.
I have a small apartment with wooden floors so I think for that, it’s perfect. It can cover the whole place in the few hours that it has charge. I have one rug and it covers it fine too, it switches on boost mode when it detects it is on the rug.
They include a cleaner too so you can cut any hair that tangles around the brush.
I echo completely all the plaudits for this fantastic machine. We have tiled, wooden, and carpeted floors in a largish house and Eufy does a floor at a time with no bother. ‘He’ does have his quirks and his moments of seeming to get stuck and whirl around in ever decreasing circles in tight spaces, and between chair legs, but he comes out of it eventually and does a thorough job very well.
It really is the best machine I have purchased for us in a very long time and, like many others, I wish I had bought it a lot earlier, because this little guy certainly takes over most of the hoovering and brings up carpets and hard floors every time. We especially appreciate the ‘edges’ programme where Eufy starts in one spot and follows the whole floor round in every room cleaning the edges until he comes back to where he has started in 20 minutes or so. Currently, the machine is an absolute boon to us in keeping the house looking presentable for prospective buyers.
One thing that I have not read about in any of the other Eufy 11s reviews is that sometimes very strong sunlight streaming through the windows onto the light carpet can make Eufy stop in his tracks and retreat. Even when I try to encourage him to follow through the sunlight using the remote control to steer him, he still refuses to budge. The sun is confusing the drop sensors underneath the machine and Eufy is assuming the sudden difference in the tone of the floor is a potential drop hazard. Anyway, all is solved by closing the curtains where this might be an issue. It is just something we will need to plan for before leaving Eufy to function while we are out of the house in the summer; but it’s by no means a deal-breaker.
Apart from all the cleaning benefits, Eufy does appeal to the techie nerd in me and certainly causes visitors and family huge and mixed degrees of amusement and bemusement. We keep ours under a sofa and get him to emerge to greet guests. Just make sure you forewarn any unsuspecting visitor with a heart condition before you press the remote button and have the great black bug emerging from its resting place! Seriously, though, I really can not recommend this machine strongly enough.
I’ve wanted one of these for ages so jumped at the chance when on offer. I’ve had it running 3 times a day (the novelty isn’t wearing off yet) but I’m amazed that after each run the dust box is full even when the floor looks clean to start with. I have dogs and a parrot so they do create some mess and this has dealt with everything thrown at it. I’m really amazed. Hopefully it will continue to work well into the future and it even comes with spare filter and brushes so won’t have to buy and replacement parts for a good while.
I bought this robot in the Boxing Day sale and am impressed with its performance. I didn’t expect it to do as good a job as a manually operated vac though I was wrong! It deals with floor and carpet debris easily, including cat litter, cat hair, my hair and the layer of fluff under the bed. It copes with going over most mats and rugs all bar one very chunky one which I can use the spot clean function on. In strips like by the side of the bed I use the manual function and find the one room function great for closing off areas and leaving it to do its thing. I was surprised how quiet it is in my opinion too, though the battery hold could be better, I find if I have fully charged it then leave it a few days off charge there is little left when I set it off for a clean. I have a chronic health condition which makes regular vacuuming not possible for me so I honestly say this has been life changing and a true weight off my mind. So when it malfunctioned in mid February I was very disappointed! It would only spin or stall in an attempt to clean. I also worried about the replacement or refund negotiations that I would now need to go through and feared difficult customer service – I needn’t have! I contacted Ankerdirect through Amazon and received prompt, friendly, professional and helpful communication through Jo in
the eufylife support team. We communicated on the issues and exchanged links and videos. It helped that my partners an engineer so could take it apart properly and report jargon which was not argued with. The problem was the motor in one wheel. I received a replacement within a week of first contacting Ankerdirect with the issue and the postage from returning the item my end was refunded very promptly by screenshot receipt proof. Lovely to have my little flat mate back quietly buzzing around the place making my life easier though the cat is not keen!
I guess there are some people out there that actually enjoy a good ‘vacuuming’. Well if that’s you then read no further. For the rest of you that would rather do something else with their time, then have I got some good news for you.
Quick up to speed on me bit… Electronics Engineer with a Dyson Handheld and now a Eufy 11s.
It’s good, really good. Easy to operate and clean, I mostly use the auto setting in which it trundles around for 90 minutes then goes home to charge.
The only time it struggles to navigate is around the sloping kitchen barstools, but after about 30 seconds of trying to mount them it turns around and wanders off.
Through no fault of the robovac it has attempted to suck up an Apple lightning lead and a USB C at the same time. All good! No damage to either the leads of the robovac, it’s very safe to use. It’ll just beep and flash a red light if it’s not happy with life, then shut down and await your rescue.
Hard floors, carpets with rugs on them.. the lot. I ended up buying two more of the 11s for friends and family, so I’ve seen the photos of people’s dust buckets 😉
Upstairs has not been a problem, though the first approaches to the stair edge did make my heart rate go up. Carpeted landing and stairs, it knows when to turn around.
Battery life – really? when was the last time you vacuumed for 90+ minutes non-stop? So don’t you go worrying about the battery life, it’s all good.
Noise level – my partner said she was happily having a tele-conference form home whilst robovac was trundling around. I’m more than happy with the noise level too, it’s much quieter than my handheld Dyson, and less effort to use 😉
Great price for the features, build quality and ease of use. Say goodbye to vacuuming and not your bank balance.
TOP TIP – When the rotating brushes become a bit ‘tired’, just plop them in some hot water and… ta dah! as new (see photos)
* life changes are subject to perspective, terms and conditions apply.
I love this thing so much. It’s rare that you buy something and love everything about it, but wow. It makes my life so, so much easier! One of the best things I’ve ever bought in my life, hands down.
I live in a flat that is mostly carpeted and even with a Henry hoover, took a lot of physical work to pick up everything. The Eufy doesnt always pick up everything on the first round granted, but eventually gets it all, and with NO effort! I run mine once a day on auto until the battery runs out, and my flat is so, so clean all the time now.
Absolute game changer. Highly recommend.
I bought this a few days ago but I have been using everyday. This is my first robot vacuum cleaner and as I didn’t want to spend a month’s rent on one, and this one was on a flash sale, I decided to go for it. I have been wanting one for ages as I have a cat who moults a lot and I have allergies, plus I can’t cope with cleaning my house everyday and working full time, etc.
I am absolutely in love with this hoover. It’s quite basic as in it doesn’t have WiFi, nor the Alexa function or house mapping as the super expensive ones. But out of all of these, I think only the house mapping is relevant, but you can do without it. The remote is self explanatory and has functions such as spot cleaning, edge cleaning, single room cleaning.
It self adjusts its suction power when it’s on a rug and carpet and cleans it really well. I have used it 6 times now and I had to empty full boxes of cat hair 4 times already – not because the box is small but because it’s finding cat hair everywhere. Seriously, I couldn’t even see all this hair around and my normal hoover doesn’t get filled that easily. Everytime I run it, it finds more cat hair, and it’s specially great as it goes under furniture!
The timer works perfectly and I love it when it’s running out of battery and it finds its way back to the docking station. There are many functions to this little hoover that you can use and it’s quite smart, when it realises it’s bumping into a table foot, for example, it goes around it completely. As I mentioned before, you can also programme it to do an entire edge cleaning.
I am honestly super happy that I bought this and I can already feel the air in my house clearer. Plus I can literally watch a film whilst it’s doing it or do other chores as it’s quite quiet. My only suggestion to whoever buys this is to remove obstacles such as put the chairs on the table and pick cables, toys and strings from the floor as it may get entangled. But I totally recommend it.
*******
UPDATE: six months since I bought this and still the best thing I ever spent my money on! Makes my life so much easier!!!!!
I had one of these on my wish list for a long time and eventually they came up as a ‘Deal Of The Day’. It seemed a lot of money to find even then but ‘I’m Over The Moon With It’. The cleaning performance is nothing short of amazing. Having just cleaned my carpets with a Panasonic vacuum cleaner I did not think it would do much more. I was wrong. Cat hairs were abolished in one cleaning cycle as proven by the on board waste bin.
I guess I’m just repeating other reviews but it really is that good. Spare brushes and rollers are readily available on Amazon Prime too. It’s quiet and takes about 35 minutes to do a reasonably small lounge. Easy to figure how to use and I would recommend you check out the bin emptying and filter change procedure before you first use it while it’s still clean.
Happy days.
This little robot is brilliant! Wish I’d bought one sooner.
It cleans medium pile carpet quite well and I’ve definitely noticed the carpet being fluffed up from being vacuumed everyday.
It does get stuck every now and then but that’s to be expected and I use the remote to steer it back on course. It gets under my sofas and bookcase and even under the bath which I can never be bothered to do.
It cleans for well over an hour without slowing down and you can set the vacuum power higher or lower depending on the surface type.
The little swishy spinners at the front get into the corners and edges in the kitchen where those toast crumbs lurk.
The dust box is really easy to remove and compacts the dust into a little ball; the filter removes easily as well. All parts of it (rotor bit, swishy spinners, wheels) remove easily in a click to give them a clean down.
It comes with a new filter, spinners and rotor bit as well which is great.
I paid 165 in the sale and it was totally worth it!
Amending review…..ok first one sent was used and I returned and got full refund….however ordered second one and now had it over a month and have to say I’m in love!!! I have a 10month old son who surprisingly makes more mess than my partner (and he is messy trust me!). I’m in so much love with this machine I’ve named him Max and look after it more than my partner (much to his disgust). It’s amazing on hard floors and ok on carpets…misses most sock fluff but does catch all hair, dust and bits. I will never be without this machine again and will cry the day Max dies!
(Old review)
Had high hopes for this vac however it turned up used with scratches on the top and someone else’s dust in the dust bucket (Ewwww). Sending it back as want a new one not used one!
This is the best thing I’ve bought on Amazon in years!!! Eufy is like our new pet! It’s so easy to empty. It actually made us tidy our house because we had to move things off of the floor so Eufy didn’t get stuck. Now our house is less cluttered and also has very clean floors. We programmed Eufy to hoover at 5am downstairs and we can’t hear him. We wake up to immaculate floors. In the daytime I take Eufy upstairs and set him off cleaning our carpets. I put him on the boost level of cleaning for the carpet because he needs a little extra boost to pick up fluff on the carpets.
Con – Eufy is the perfect height for getting stuck under our bed. He’s the same height as the gap. Sometimes he avoids the bed, sometimes he manages to get half stuck under the edges and we have to go and free him.
After reading the wonderful reviews of other users I ventured to have my own robot, and since then live has never been the same! Everyday dusty does his work around the house and I find myself shocked at the amount of dust he keeps finding. My husband was a bit skeptical about outsourcing our vacuuming to the robot, but we are blown away by his efficacy, ease to use and everyday value.
Bought this based on the positive reviews and have not been disappointed. Easy to set up and use. Lots of functions allowing you to spot clean, just do edges, single room and more. Can even programme it to come on at preset times – which we found out at 1.00am having inadvertently programmed it to do so!!
Copes well with both hard and carpeted floors and is great at cleaning up the fur off our forever shedding labrador. Beware on stairs though as the sensors need a light room/carpet to work properly.
So far so good (4 weeks). Haven’y got the old vacuum out of the cupboard since Xmas!
We purchased the Eufy in December 2018 and we use it everyday to clean the floors whilst we are both at work. It is great to come home and the floors are clear of any dog hairs. We have two dogs and prior top using the Eufy the floors were constantly getting lots of dog hairs on them . Our floors are all ceramic tiles with some rugs on , the eufy deals with them all very well. It has got stuck a couple of times but more down to us not moving things rather than it’ not being any good. Already one of the best household purchases we have made in a long time. We were worried that our one very nervous dog ( Beagle) would be a bit freaked by the Eufy but it is relatively quiet and neither of our dogs are bothered by it at all. We have ours located under the sofa so you don’tr know it’s there until it starts at whatever time we have it set to. Would recommend . No good for very thick piled rugs but it states that anyway .
Ok… I wasn’t sure this would be as good as the reviews. We’re only 2 days in. However
This little Beauty is fantastic! Firstly it works straight out the box, it couldn’t be any easier. Remove some foam bits, put the brushes on (you get spares as well!) and your off!!
It does take a random path to cleaning, but that really doesn’t matter, it cleans. I wasn’t sure how great it would be. 2 kids and a dog… we have tiled floor… timber floor… and a couple of semi shag rugs. It does the lot! Our house has the bedrooms downstairs and it doesn’t fall down the stairs, I felt nervous letting it go free but I shouldn’t have the sensors kick in and it didn’t fall!!
Seen a few reports that it won’t go “home” to dock. Ours always gets there, however it will travel about for 5 min for some reason but it will go home (very oddly satisfying watching it dock itself) .
This machine has been a game changer for us, the amount it picks up is amazing! Don’t get me wrong it won’t stop me getting the Dyson out but I can already see it will be 90% quicker thanks to this bit of gadget.
Will report back if it lets me down, but so far we all love it and it does make me feel a little lazy!
I adore this little vacuum cleaner. My house is, for the first time ever, clean! Having loved Metal Mickey as a kid growing up in the 1980’s Eufy is loved! He’s got a little personality, the cats are both intrigued and it’s giving me a real source of amusement. I want to thank him each time he’s finished vacuuming my home. I come in and the rugs have little trail marks in them where he’s been, it’s almost a shame to put a footprint into it. We have an open plan layout downstairs with vinyl flooring and rugs. He’s making a great job of it. It’s saving me hours of time. Thank you to the seller and the inventor! Love this product and love having a clean house! UPDATE – I now have two of these as they are so good. One for upstairs and one for down. I have not hoovered with my old Dyson upright hoover for months yet the floor is spotless. I am waiting for the sale to buy a third for our outhouse.
This is my very first robotic vacuum cleaner. I have no idea what to expect. Originally I thought of buying a cheap version to try out this type of product, but I saw the overwhelming positive review on this product and changed my mind. After using it for a week, I find it still cannot replace the traditional vacuum cleaner, however, it has been picking up a lot of dust.
Pros: The robotic vacuum cleaner is very easy to setup and use. It picks up quite a lot of dust. At first I thought it wasn’t doing much but I change my mind when I empty the dust compartment. It does sense the stair and not run into it. It detects some furniture while bouncing off others. So far it has not trap itself in a loop and manage to move on (with a few bounces).
Cons: If you have messy rooms that have cable, empty boxes lying around, the vacuum cleaner will not work very well. You have to tidy up first, or be somewhat tidy in the first place for this product to be effective. Also, the robotic vacuum is not totally small, so it is not going through the dinning chairs (to narrow). If you have dinning chairs nice packed on the side on the dinning table, the vacuum will skip this part all together. Lastly, if you are the type who like to vacuum edges, moving furniture, you need to pick up a normal vacuum to do it yourself once in a while.
I wish there is 4.5 star, given that it is not perfect. However, it does do what it said in the tin.
I was skeptical at first and I haven’t manually vacuumed since I got this amazing robovac.
1- It cleans carpet (not too fluffy, but not too thin in my flat)
2- It cleans thoroughly, its patterns may seem random but it gets the job done
3- It’s silent compared to a bigger vacuum cleaner
4- It’s very easy to use
I use it on a per room basis, just close the door, remove cables and wait 20/30 min and it’s clean. Most rooms are carpeted, and the results are consistently good.
It will last around 30/40 minutes on a full charge and go back to it’s charging base
It requires you to empty it’s dust collecting unit pretty much every time.
Maintenance is key for this to give you the best value, but it gives me the same results as normal vacuuming without having to do it myself. I am very happy with it.
I was a bit dubious about robot vacuums as it didn’t seem logical that something small could do the job of a normal size hoover. Bought it anyway as a Christmas present for my partner as she sometimes hoovers twice a day. So far we are thoroughly impressed. We have a two bed flat with carpet and timber floors. We haven’t had to hoover for a week as this little guy gets under most furniture and gives good coverage of all the rooms. Has ran over a few cables and bits but seems to get out of it on his own. Seems to collect a fair bit of stuff which needs emptying very third day or so. Has found the charging point every time so far. Not too noisy on carpet although makes a rattling noise on timber floors. Battery lasting around 1 hour 15 minutes so as long as this lasts we will be happy to recommend.
As long as you understand that it cannot do long pile rugs, and gets hung up on power cords (you have to tie them up out of its way – they provide the zip ties to do that)- its a great little device. I have tile and vinyl floors with rugs interspersed around, and because the rugs are too think for it to manage, it just goes around. Occasionally it climbs up on a rug and gets itself stuck and I have to rescue it. But overall I think it is fantastic – I just start it when I’m going out, and I when I get home and it’s sitting back on the charger and the floors are clean! It can manage the short pile rugs fine. It also goes under the furniture – I’m sure under the sofa has never been so clean. I have a hairy dog and it manages the dog hair just fine.
I never thought I needed this in my life – in fact, I didn’t even really know they existed and bought on a whim in Black Friday sales. It has revolutionised my life! After dinner, I set her (I call her Sally!) off downstairs while I get to go and sit on the sofa and relax! When she’s done, she docks herself so I don’t have to think about her anymore. I come back downstairs in the morning to a clean floor. As a test, I had just hoovered with my Shark when Sally arrived. I set her off thinking she wouldn’t pick anything up after a hoover with a Shark but, after 30 mins, her little box was full! Incredible.
Blown away by the performance of this little thing and its ease of use. Unleashed on the downstairs of our largely hard flooring (2 rugs) following a deep clean and mop and it was amazing what was in the waste bin after Eufy had been circulating for an hour or more. Scheduled to run at 4am every day and again continues to hunt out dust and dirt. As many have already mentioned Eufy doesn’t like loose / laying cables nor rug tassels but then what vacuum does? My partner was sceptical to say the least but absolutely fallen in love with it and enjoying the thorough cleaning performed each night when we sleep before waking to a clean floor throughout. No problem returning to charging dock albeit the random nature IoD it’s return might confuse some as to it’s method but it gets there…..we even set little obstacles to make it more difficult to get back to the charging dock and it hasn’t failed yet! Quiet…..we run it when we are asleep but we have run it whilst watching TV and yes of course it can be heard but nothing like hoovering with the Dyson. Absolutely no hesitation in leaving a positive review of this product to help others overcome any concerns about it’s effectiveness or value for money!
We have laminate floors and small rugs everywhere and were looking for a better solution to regular sweeping.
We got this and have used it everyday for the past ten days. It has been incredible so far as it has picked up everything hair and fine dust, which have been problematic with sweeping.
We are really happy, it just runs, picks up a surprising amount of dust and fibres (see image, third run of ground floor), and has just worked with our layout and furniture from the start. We are really impressed. The next step for me is to see if the unit and performance is robust over time.
Product arrived fast. Box was complete with instructions, padding of the parts, spares, brushes was excellent to fit. The base unit to charge was placed in a suitable as required position on the floor – as I’ve hard flooring throughout it was just a matter of location and found an ideal spot. The robotic hoover takes a few minutes to find once stopped its duty but it locates nevertheless fine. Had to empty – obviously each time – but quite a lot of fluff and debris from house which I possibly overlooked before which is fantastic. The time and set to do its duty function is awesome! Set for 10am each morning, comes awake, does it’s job, keeps the cat entertained by following it and wondering what the heck is going on. So new pals and he keeps it on the straight and narrow with guarding any issues haha! Could not fault! Love it. Battery life is excellent, brushes are fantastic and the little dudes sunction works wonders. Really renders my dyson handheld redundant and makes house even more spotless.
This may not be the cleverest cleaner on the market, but it does the job. I have only had it a couple of days, and I have only used it in room cleaning mode (I put it in one room at a time, close the door, and let it do its thing). The carpeted areas in my apartments have a very low pile, and the machine does a good job on them. the rest is laminate and again, it does a good job (as proven by the amount of stuff in the tray). Really easy to empty and clean the tray. In an ideal world the battery would last a bit longer, but it lasts long enough to do two small rooms thoroughly.
[update]
Still happy with it. Still amazed at home much dust it picks up.
I’ve had Eufy for a few months now, and have been really impressed with its cleaning capability. The suction is so strong for such a small machine, and it keeps carpets and hard floors looking their best. Here’s the pros and cons from my experience:
Pros:
+ It’s powerful and manages to suck up most debris fairly easily
+ The drop sensors work perfectly so it works at the top of stairs with any worries
+ It’s not intelligent, but that means it works for through multiple rooms well
+ It almost always finds its way back to the charging station
+ Eufy is much easier to empty compared to other robot vacs I’ve used
+ The slim design enables it to go underneath furniture well
+ The brushes are effective at removing fluff and lint
+ The dust compartment is large enough to avoid having to empty it after every use
+ Hair is swept up from carpets really well so would be good for people with a malting pet (or wife!)
+ Eufy can climb small inclines easily so it useful if you need it to go over thick rugs
Cons:
– The battery does seem to run out more quickly than other vacs I have, and the charge also takes longer (a few hours to fully charge)
– The brush mechanism does need regular cleaning as hair becomes wound around the moving parts reducing the cleaning capability
– Eufy does miss spots (due to its random moving pattern), but regular cleaning programs mean this isn’t a real problem
Overall, I’d definitely recommend Eufy. The suction power was pleasantly surprising and has made keeping carpets and hard floors clean a doddle.
Honestly I wasn’t sold on the idea of a robo vac. I’ve used so many corded, cordless vacuums and when you bring them home you think great! A week later you think what a pile of garbage! Unless it’s a dyson then they have been the best choice of vacuuming for me. However this little thing is amazing. We use it everyday! I bought it because of my allergies and we have a big house so dirt can be flying around the house with the dog etc… So we bought this thinking it will clean everyday on it’s own and then return to base to charge itself. Honestly it’s what it does day in day out. Every couple of weeks I clean the unit. The amount of stuff that it picks up is amazing. I love it! I know my vacuums and this is a good buy! I paid 220 for mine, on black Friday (a few weeks later) it was down to 170 ish I wanted to buy another. I should have done! Kept thinking I don’t need another. However one could have lived upstairs and one downstairs. On the next sale I will be buying another!
Having been doubtful about the concept of robot vacuum cleaners I was persuaded to try the Eufy 11S during the Black Friday sale. All of my doubts have been removed. We were amazed at the amount of dust the Eufy collects, even after a “proper” vacuuming with a Dyson. It handles our medium pile carpets with ease, and easily switches between carpets and hard floors. Despite seemingly random movement, it does cover the entire room (or the entire floor of rooms), and it’s brushes help it get into corners. The anti-fall mechanism stops it from falling down the stairs. (A brief heart-in-mouth moment as it zoomed towards the stair edge before stopping on the edge!) We run it upstairs every day and downstairs twice a week and it certainly seems to keep on top of things. Build quality is solid, and charging and battery life seems good. One thing to note is that, despite what is mentioned in some reviews, the 11S does not have any Wi-Fi capability. It is controlled via a supplied remote. Overall, an excellent device, and we are delighted to have adopted this new robot son!
Had my RoboVac a week now and delighted with it. I was a bit sceptical as it’s significantly cheaper than a lot of other options but the reviews were good so decided to give it a go. We use it mostly to clean the downstairs which is all hard floors; wood and tiles. Having 2 dogs it was previously covered in hairs all the time, now RoboVac cleans on the timer every afternoon. I do have to move our bar stools as it tries to climb up them (I put them in another room before I go to work) but it goes over the dividers between rooms with no trouble and it senses the step ok so hasn’t fallen down it. It wasn’t really bought for the carpets upstairs but I’ve taken it up a couple of times and my 6 year old has become obsessed with cleaning his room! It leaves a few bits of fluff behind on the carpets, I think they are probably thicker pile than it’s designed for, but all the same it seems to find an incredible amount of dust!
The roller is very easy to remove and clean, which as my daughter and I both have long hair is important. My only criticism would be that the little side brushes are out of shape already and I suspect will need replacing quite frequently.
This won’t replace my regular vacuum as need to get in between cupboards etc occasionally but for keeping things tidy between cleans it’s fantastic.
It’s not perfect, it occasionally gets trapped, but at this price it’s great value for money. I previously tried an ECOVACS, discounted to c.180 and this beats it hands down. It cleans well on both hard services and short pile carpets, and a full charge is enough for it to do the whole of the ground floor or 1st floor of a largish 3 bed-semi and return to it’s charging dock. My house is now vacuumed throughout every 2 days compared to once a week (ish) with a cylinder vac.
After so many years of doubting to buy or not to buy a robot hoover I decided to invest in one which was economical and see how I get on with it. Poor ‘Kevin’ has been working hard since arriving home yesterday , what can I say , I am delighted on how well he is cleaning. Having 4 dogs at home, Iam used to hoovering my kitchen about 4 times a day, well, today Kevin has been a star and did all the work alone, in fact has done all the house and my goodness, how much dust it has collected , even from the rooms I thought were quite cleaned . I hoover daily so iam so surprised to how much dust It has collected . I am now asking myself, why didn’t Kevin came to me sooner . I could only make him better by adding also a mopping function . This robot is fantastic.
This is much better than we thought it would be. Mrs Tricky is very pleased with it. We schedule it to come on at 8.30 every day and it does great. We have 2 birman fluff ball cats who shed clumps of fluff a lot. The eufy keeps on top of it all. The corded dyson comes out about once every 2 weeks to do the corners and edges but wouldn’t be the end of the world if we missed that. It just saves so much time. We live in a bungalow with a mix of hard floors and carpets and it moves around with ease. For those that say it doesn’t map out the rooms it will eventually get around everything if you use it every day. You could always pay another 400 quid to get that also! This waited on our wish list most of the year and then on Black Friday we snapped it up at the bargain price of 149.99. Now that we have thoug( I would pay the full price to get another.
Buy it you won’t be disappointed.
Honestly, I bought this expecting it to be a returned item as it was going to be a gimmick
I was very very wrong!
Easy to program, set up and clean the robot vacuum sets about cleaning up like a robot possessed! Our ground floor is a thoroughfare and was always a little dirty despite our best attempts to the contrary with our vacuum cleaner. Now, every morning at 01:30am, “Jeffery” as we call it, does a splendid job cleaning the floor in the kitchen, utility room, toilet and hallway
Very highly recommended – a purchase I do not regret
Updated – we now have two both cleaning very well on the ground and the first floors of our town house
See the attached pictures for an honest weekly clean
Very impressed!
Never owned a robot vacuum before. We have a cat and a dog plus we often have grandchildren and their dog in the house with us. So first of all ANY vacuuming device is going to have to be very good. We have a Miele Vacuum ( it’s one of their highest power ones before the stupid EU regulations restricted motor size). It does a great job but is heavy. We also have two Gtech devices and they are brilliant also. So why did we want a robotic vacuum you may ask. Firstly I am disabled and my wife has become unwell herself and so anything that can “ease the load” would help.
Now the product – we were amazed at how easy it was to set up. Then we saw it in action and it was very quiet, so we did not expect much in the collector bin, it was full! We ran this device in Auto mode and it traversed hard floors and carpeted floors with ease. We have tried all the other functions and they work impeccably. The device is now programmed to clean the downstairs every day at 04:00hrs. And no one wakes up, that proves how quietly it goes around its chores.
This is an amazing device for its price. We do hope that it will not break down in the coming days but only time will tell concerning durability. It is very well built and we would recommend it to anyone that is thinking of purchasing one. Because some of these devices cost just shy of a grand we thought this product priced at just over 200 was either a great bargain OR would not amount to any great help in cleaning the home. It was a bargain by far. This is a great device and, so long as you are realistic, it will amaze you.
The dogs don’t mind the Eufy and our Maine Coon cat is fascinated with it and follows it everywhere.
UPDATE – We are so impressed with this cleaner that we have purchased a second one for another location. We change the filters as directed and our first cleaner is as good now as when brand new. The only part that does now need replacing is the blue suction brush surround with the black rubber seal. I am guessing but this part gets a real pounding, so I suppose it’s inevitable that it will wear. Still very happy with both vacuum cleaners.
This is one of the best purchases I have made recently. It’s such a clever thing, and the cleaning has to be seen to be believed from such a compact device. It’s so simple to use, and gets on with vacuuming while you can do something else. Just make sure you follow the instructions and keep any cables out of the way, and clear up small items which may cause a jam, like pens, dog toys etc. The dirt it picks up is amazing, our house looks cleaner and fresher already, compared to conventional hoovering. The only minor downside is the dust collecting bin is on the small side, so to begin with it may need emptying more often. But once the house has been cleaned thoroughly it is not a problem at all. Just set the timer to clean ever day, and you’ll never go back to a hand held vacuum again! Thoroughly recommended.
I had been watching this item for a while as it seemed to be one of the best in it’s price range. picked one up in the black friday sale. And I’m glad I did. It has exceeded every expectation I had. It perform really well on my floors and rugs, and manages to get the dust around the edges of the room without any problems. The battery life is also more than adequate. Most impressive is the little guy’s intelligence. I haven’t seen him get stuck once yet, and as long as you leave it running for a while it manages to get around to everywhere. It’s really easy to clean and maintain. It’s easier than most full sized hoovers, and the suction is better than most of the upright hoovers I’ve owned. Can’t recommend this highly enough. Buy it an don’t look back.
I hate hoovering so thought I would give one a try after some research I decided on the eufy not the cheapest but a good brand from a reputable company so they are unlikely to go out of business. Setting up was easy and a few minor teething troubles cables making sure the rugs were flat etc. So far it finding its way back to the charging station is a bit hit and miss but its early days. You obviously still need a normal vacuum cleaner for the stairs. My particular model seems to run out of power after 25 minutes or so well under the 100 minutes runtime so I would recommend giving it a good charge before using it I think it might be a problem with the batteries who sometimes develop a fault and develop a memory that they are fully charged when they are not. I am attempting to rectify this by turning on and off the charger. If this stays a problem I will just return the model and get a new one. My only regret is that if I had known how good this item was I would of gone for the next model up as its can be controlled by Alexa. But the price difference was 50.
I’ve only had mine for a few days but I love it more than I thought for a second I would! I’m disabled and using a standard vacuum cleaner (cylinder, upright or even stick) still requires a great deal of effort but the Eufy is just a question of pressing a button and away it goes. It can be preset to start at a designated time and I can see that being incredibly useful for people with busy lives. It cleans very well and seems incredibly thorough. I put cables out of the way with clips provided and lift mats from hard floor becaue Eufy doesn’t like them very much as they can tangle. I’m super impressed that I can still watch TV without the vacuuming noise being an issue and the carpets and hard floor are as clean, if not cleaner than they ever were with all the effort from me. Emptying the collected dust is a breeze and I think I’d better stop now or I never will! Simply amazing thank you Eufy
Have had the 11s in my wish list for some time having missed the discount during Prime Day 2018, so I was pleased to see the product further reduced on Black Friday. I’d originally planned to set it up just to keep on top of the crumbs in the kitchen, not expecting it to be able to travel through the whole of the ground floor so easily.
Not only has it NEVER got stuck on any surface it has pass over, but it has exceeded my expectations in terms of size (smaller than expected), the depth of clean and overhaul build quality. Think I’ll put my 299 Dyson outside on bin day and see if anyone takes it!?
One little quirk I find quite cute, I have a rug in the living room with a black stripe on it, and the Eufy thinks that this is a drop and jumps back from it when it sees it. It takes it a few goes to be able to work out how to navigate round the drop (just a black stripe!)
Buy!
After waiting until the price dropped – it was worth the wait! What a great but of kit which is a game changer in home cleaning. As with all anker items it comes well packaged and is easy to set up with the quick start guide. All you have to do is find a clear wall area on which to site the docking station. Once it’s plugged in and has a charge you can set it off with the remote and away it goes. It’s path looks random but I’m sure there’s a method to its madness as it seems to cover everywhere effortlessly. Set it for a daily clean and it goes for about an hour negotiating objects with ease….Just keep cables out of the way! Watching it return to base is rather clever and when you open up the dust box you will be amazed how much it collects. Overall for the price this is a fantastic home helper and will work away without you having to break out a sweat!
I have had this for about 11 months now and to be honest when i purchased it i was a little dubious that it would do the job.
Well I am a convert it does do a great job comes out once a day and does the livingroom and the kitchen every day and it doesn’t miss a bit even around the edges.
On a different note this hoover does not freak the cat out as its not loud at all i have had it on while watching TV.
Good product i recommend it.
Having always thought these machines were a bit of a gimmick – I was very surprised to find that it is quite a solid high quality looking machine (about the size of wall clock). Very easy to use straight from the box. After a charge on its base It potters around exploring and vacuuming for over an hour (if you leave doors open it will go and explore other rooms) and then takes itself to bed on its base when it feels tired. The amount of dust it collected in the dustbox (easy to access and empty) is amazing – particularly as the areas had been vacuumed with a conventional machine too. It slides under the sofa, beds, etc. – and seems to ‘learn’ its way round rooms so that it gives even coverage rather than just moving around randomly – so the second time it was used it seemed to have remembered.
It is also very quiet. Its like having a pet that cleans up.
I bought this for my mum to ‘test’ it for me as I live overseas. I spoke to her this morning and she informed me that “Clarence” had been on several adventures during the night and on 3 occasions he had stopped out all night having not returned to his docking station following an altercation with the laundry airer which had fallen on him as he cleaned underneath. (Clearly a stealth operator). My mum was very impressed with the amount of dirt he picked up and Clarence seems to have provided her with some great entertainment and has helpfully cleaned up a lot of cobwebs underneath things where mum naturally doesn’t like to go. Cleans carpets and hard floors equally well. The only downsides that she reported: Need to empty the dirt collection box frequently as it picks up so much. Clarence can get tangled in cables and her tip was to tuck under rug fringes as his suck can unravel them. So win all round and I think I may need to buy another since Mum clearly has taken quite a shine to him!
I cannot believe that I did not get this earlier. The best money I have spent.
It has got great suction and can manoeuvre around a room very easily. It can sense when an object (such as a chair desk, or walls) is in its path and stay clear of it. Also avoids falling from heights as it has a sensor. It runs for about 90 minutes on a full charge and needs 5 hours of charging to be full.
You can either programme it to come on at a specific time EVERY day or you can turn it on as you wish at any time.
It cleans carpets and tiled floors unbelievably better than what a human can do with a vacuum cleaner. Obviously, it cannot do the stairs. Any flat surface that does not have any wires or other miscellaneous things lying around, this buddy will clean it spotlessly.
Cleaning it is super easy. You push and the dustpan comes out. The dustpan size is small so you may need to empty it after two runs. I did pore through many reviews before buying this because I thought it was expensive. Considering the work that it does, you can take my word for it that this will definitely do you a world of good.
The brushes need replacing every six months. The pack comes with an extra set of brushes and filters, so you are set for a year. I searched numerous reviews before deciding to buy this and I feel it is worth the 200 quid I spent on it. Their customer support is fantastic and they stand by their product, which has impacted my confidence in the brand.
Hope you find this useful. If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer as some folks have answered my questions and it helped me with this purchase. Have a great day!
We’ve had our robo vacuum (we call it robocop) for a few weeks now. We hadn’t had such a device before and I was skeptical. However, I’m pleased to report this is a great product. The product looks and feels good quality and in my view it represents good value for money. We have a large house with hard floors downstairs and carpets upstairs. It deals with both environments very well on the auto mode with standard fan. When we first got it, it would suck up so much dirt we couldn’t believe it – our house seemed clean, but robocop does so much better than a manual Hoover. In fact, it performed so well that I cancelled our contract cleaners immediately! Battery life is good, lasting at least an hour on auto standard mode. It’s really easy to clean, with the relevant parts easy to remove and click back into place. The remote means you can control the direction of the vacuum, and there are different modes and higher suction levels depending on the job you need it to perform. The slimline design is also good so it can clean beneath furniture. Ours lives under a sideboard in the lounge so you wouldn’t know it’s there unless it’s out cleaning,
This is one of the best gadgets I’ve bought in a very long time and I highly recommend it.
I have a thing for vacuum cleaners. I own a Dyson, an Henry, a Vax and a Shark. The Eufy is my favourite. I don’t rate Dyson at all & never use it. Out of those 5 Id say the Shark has best suction but the Eufy is magic. It’s not far off as good as the Shark for suction, it doesn’t use bags & it can go under low coffee tables & sofas with ease. I bought it because I have 2 dogs & I’m forever having to vacuum. Now I can leave the Eufy to get on with it. My Yorkie doesn’t like it & avoids it. My Russell isn’t bothered in the slightest. I wouldn’t say it was particularly quiet – the Henry is much quieter. It saves me so much time. I put it on when I go out with my dogs and by the time I get home, it has gone through the whole house – I live in a bungalow – and has gone to bed.I love the fact it returns to the charging point on its own. Aside from emptying it, I can leave it to its own devices. Just make sure you pick up dog toys, loose wires etc
I confess, the first time I used it, I followed it around the house to watch it lol Oh and if it does bump into anything, its really gentle so does no harm. If you’re undecided Id say get one, you wont regret it.
Rob the robotic vacuum cleaner does everything you can expect of him. You do need to keep the area he’s cleaning clear of charging cords etc and today I heard him calling out (well, bleeping a lot) and found that he had discovered my shoes and had wound one lace around one of his sweeping brushes, the other he had tried to vacuum up and, for good measure he had mounted my shoes and was stuck on them. But that was my fault as it is the sort of obstacle he can’t deal with. On another occasion, he found his way into the study but managed to close the door on himself and was therefore stuck in there. And don’t leave an item leaning again the wall, Rob managed to bring a folded coffee table down on himself by knocking into the bottom of it. But generally, he’s great, very quiet compared to a normal vacuum cleaner and we haven’t had as clean a floor/rug since we had a cleaner and that was some years ago now. He finds his way back to his charging point and seems happy to live next to the bins. Watch out though, you’ll be anthropomorphising him just like me if you buy one!
Low noise level. Great suction. Good run time. Slimline. What more could you want from a robot vacuum cleaner? Not having to replace the brush roller twice in 9 months (that’s 3 rollers in 9 months, ) would have been great. The previous Eufy we had lasted a couple of years without having to replace the brush, but this one kept wearing down. In this age of consciousness regarding the reduction of plastic waste, the makers of this machine are increasing it, and making the customer pay for the privilege! I was actually told on the hone that I should be grateful that the previous machine’s roller lasted so long, and that I should be prepared to replace it every 6 months on average. On Average!! Thankfully, Amazon customer services kindly arranged a return in exchange for a full refund, and I’m now in the market for a new (different, ) one
I also have the 11 model which I am very happy with. Actually this one should probably get a 4.5 star just because its a few mm slimmer and it clears some furniture perfectly. Also there seems to be an improved Roller Brush and it is slightly less noisy. Overall we are very happy with it. If you like unattended floor cleanup, just remember not to leave shoes with longer shoe laces, and cables on the floor because they get sucked in and Eufy stops working. We haven’t had lint/hair on our parquet ever since we got our Eufy.
The Robovac was my reward for hard work over the summer, and I wasn’t sure about it as it sounds lazy, the price was relatively low, and I thought maybe it was rubbish. But it is brilliant! I literally love it and intend to divorce my husband and marry Robey. I think the more expensive ones have features that I don’t want, like shampooing or complicated programming. Robey just nips out of his docking station and potters about cleaning the flat. OK on occaision he gets a bit lost and disappears to the kitchen for longer than I think is necessary, and he has tipped over the thick rug once, so I haven’t programmed him to clean when I’m out, but another reason is that I just love watching him work. My flat is now always lovely and clean, Robey has rooted out stranged bobs of matted material from some of the room corners and underneath furniture, so I feel the flat is clean all over now. When you’re fed up playing with him, you just press the docking button and he makes his way back to his docking station. It’s like owning your own spaceship. Lovin’ my Eufy
I have a border collie and so my floors are always covered in dog hair. I schedule the Robovac for 2pm every day and when I get home from work at 3.30pm the floors are clean – it’s a lovely feeling, I wish i’d got one sooner!
I leave all the doors open and the RoboVac vacuums every room downstairs. It navigates randomly around the house, but does infact manage to clean every room fully. When its battery gets low it navigates back to the charging station.
Even though it is round it does manage to get into most corners with the rotating brushes which scoop the dust in the the centre of the robovac. It works very well on tiled floors and short pile carpets. It even manages to vacuum under the sofa – so I’m very happy (needs about 3inches height gap). Because I have alot of dog hair I do empty it every day. The only downside I would say is with dog hair it doesn’t seem to suck it all the way into the waste container and can block the opening. If this happens it deposits a little clump of hair on the floor, so I just stop it and empty the blockage(which takes 3seconds) and restart it again – note its only hair that builds up, all the dust seems to still go into the waste container. This is the only reason it doesnt get 5stars from me.
Like others we have found that the Robovac works much better than we expected, even better than we hoped, and we are finding it to be a really useful tool. You have to move furniture, of course, for a more complete clean, but this is far less of a grind than vacuuming everything by hand the old way, and it does in fact get into some places that are hard to reach with an ordinary vacuum cleaner, such as under couches and low tables. There are a few nooks and crannies that don’t get done, but by and large the coverage is excellent. If you keep loose cables out of its way, and anything that forms a ramp (unfortunately this includes the plinths and feet on some of our furniture), it doesn’t hang up and will beaver away for rather more than an hour before recharging is required; this is achieved automatically by returning to the base station, after which it takes several hours until the orange light turns blue, indicating a full charge.
As an unexpected bonus, you may find, as we did, that you soon start to think of it as more as a pet than an appliance. You will give it a name (ours is Robbie) and be amused rather than annoyed if it sulks when you want it to clean a particular place (you can sort of steer it using the remote), or when it can’t find its way home (this happens sometimes). I never thought vacuuming would be fun.
Had this a couple of months now, and it’s the best household buy I’ve ever made. Cleans as well as I do, and even did surprisingly well when I forgot to re-install the main brushes after cleaning the vac (carpet-friendly mode!). Auto mode generally suffices (it’s ingenious in getting itself out of corners), but I’ll probably give an edge mode clean as well every few sessions. Caveat: while the dust box suffices for a floor of my small house, and is easy to empty, it may not be sufficiently big for your mansion.
The wife laughed and laughed when I bought this and thought it was a new gadget which would end up in storage. How wrong she was! She now loves this more than I do. We have a Labrador and a cat and this little vacuum keeps the house spotless. We put it on at 3am and wake up to a clean house. I come home from work and it’s been moved upstairs. It’s a shame it can’t clean stairs!
All in all, the best 200 I’ve spent on a gadget and also a gadget which will be used for many years (as long as it doesn’t break)
Thought It might be a useful little gadget, work in some places, here and there, save some time-ish.
But
It’s the business.
I knew the house was a bit dusty, but I thought the carpets (carpet tiles in kitchen, hall and short pile carpet in living room). were reasonably clean. This little bugger has sucked up half a bin bags worth’s and that’s just downstairs.
The dust holder is quite small and the unit can get caught on cables and stuff laying the floor, so I use my packets of beers to steer it where I wanted it to go and after about 20 mins it ends up next to where I sit, so I can empty it, and send it off again.
In summery, I can’t fault it.
Amazing vacuum does exactly what it is supposed to do and it manoeuvres around everything (which can be quite amusing to watch). Clear the floor and let eufy vacuum. I have not needed to vacuum downstairs since having this, I just mop the floors after as necessary.
Has made a massive difference to cleaning up dog hair, has kept completely on top of the job 🙂
You can pay lots more for vacuum’s with apps but there really is no need to for the vacuuming! Wanted eufy to help me keep on top of vacuuming and I was aware it is 1of the cheaper ones so expected to put it on after work days and do a thorough job on days off but I have not had to!
I keep on top of cleaning the brushes and filters which I recommend to ensure its always on top form. Bit of a long review but so glad I bought this 🙂
I had serious doubts about a robot hoover, but decided to try it, without expecting much.
1. Orange flashing light means she’s charging.
2. Solid blue light means a full charge.
3. She cleans Abingdon carpets just great… and hardwood floors. There seems to be little difference in her ability to deal with both types of flooring.
My heart skips a beat when she disappears under sofa’s, bookcases and glass display units that I’d never pull out to hoover behind. In her first day out, she filled the plastic container to my shock.
You press the button with a charging plug on it… and she returns to the charger to go to sleep. It’s so sweet.
My carpets had a full hoover yesterday with a “Which” recommended hoover, and she’s still filled up the entire dustpan in 1 outing.. which is obviously going under all those sofas and tables and bit you don’t get around to pulling out.
Awesome piece of kit – and so entertaining to watch – I love her to bits.
We live in a pet-filled house (4 cats, 2 dogs). The vacuum cleaners (a Miele and a Dyson) are out daily to deal with the inevitable hair shedding. It’s a chore, time is precious and we hate vacuuming but felt there was no way a little Robovac would compete with our dustbusting big machines. I was wrong. We have had the Eufy 11S for 2 days and it has exceeded all expectations. It is finding so much dust and hair our bigger machines have left behind. It is rather erratic in its journey across the rooms, it is slow but it is very quiet and ultimately works. Don’t get me wrong, pet lovers will still need a bigger machine from time to time but for daily maintenance this little robot is remarkable. I have never seen or used one of the more expensive Robovacs but cannot imagine that the basic cleaning of those machines would surpass the Eufy 11S. All I need it to do is sweep and vacuum effectively, which it certainly does. The memory, app controls etc are of little value to me and an unnecessary cost. The Eufy gets 10/10 from me.
I bought a little Housemile robovac which was fantastic, but couldn’t get up my kitchen rugs. Having proved robovacs worked great in my flat, I thought I’d trade up to this Eufy 11s, which is a more expensive, powerful machine. Eufy package things very well, in a slick Apple-like way, so it comes with great instructions and maintenance accessories. Unlike the Housemile, it has sophistications such as various cleaning modes, a timer, a remote control, and a charging base it can automatically return to. I have found it to be a superb machine and certainly more powerful than the Housemile, as it has a big rolling brush underneath, and it seems to pick up much more debris with each cleaning round. It’s so quiet, I often have to go and check if it’s working. It’s also very low and gets under a couple of things the Housemile can’t. It has no trouble climbing up rugs, and doesn’t often get trapped, though like with all robovacs you have to clear wires and small objects out of its way. It also generally manages to return to its charger, creeping silently along the walls with its red light sadly flashing, as it feels its way back to base. (It sometimes fails if the route back to base is long and complex.) However because it has quite a large diameter, there are corners it can’t reach which the Housemile can. Therefore I have kept both robovacs, and now run a highly effective fleet. If only someone would invent a drone roboduster…
Wow, just wow! The Eufy 11s has way exceeded my wildest expectations. It is utterly amazing and everyone should have one issued with their first house! In a nutshell it does what it says, it’s super quiet, gets itself out of tight spots, cleans like a dream and returns to its base to charge.
I bought it in desperation….I have a 38ft kitchen/diner and was totally fed up in having to re-plug my Miele 3 times to clean the whole room. The Eufy just deals with it all, whilst I get on with something else. Pick- up is superb, dust pan sufficient for a week’s cleaning and it gets under the furniture and over the join between carpet and hard flooring. The kids love it and will now happily clean their rooms (Well, dust, whilst Eufy does the rest!)
The dog’s not that keen as Eufy keeps bumping her when she’s just about to drift off to sleep, but its merely a minor downside!
It’s seriously my best purchase in a decade. Buy one, you won’t regret it!
OK, so its only my first day…. in fact my first 4 hours but OMG! It is so cool. We only have short pile carpet and tiles but it works amazingly. Its been round my downstairs 2 rooms loads of times and looks as good as when I do it, but I get to sit drinking tea taking videos of it while it does all the hard work! It took a while to figure out the loads of dining chairs we have but got it within its 90 minutes.
Things we have had to do are…. put double sided sticky tape on the corners of the rug… worked perfectly. Tucked up dangling curtains and tied up loose wires… with wire ties supplied. Pulled out some of the dining chairs to give it a bit more space.
The only concern I might have is I have a dog with long hair and a couple of times it has bumped into him so I wont be running it while he is unsupervised…. yet.
I absolutely love this… will update in the future after the honeymoon period!
Me and my wife live in a 2 bed flat together with two cats that constantly shed and in addition to cat hair, it doesn’t take more than a few days for dirt and dust to become a problem that needs fixing. In order to keep the flat clean we would need to hoover 2-3 times a week, which becomes extremely tedious after a while.
After browsing for robot vacuums for a couple of weeks, looking at Amazon, youtube reviews and top lists we finally decided to go for the Robovac by Eufy. One of the problems I found with the reviews out there is that few took user needs into consideration. Our needs were simple: Clean a two bed flat with no carpets, only wooden floors, in one go. We didn’t care about wifi support, AI cleaning pattern, virtual boundaries or any of the other innovations offered. Of course the AI was important to make sure the robot could cover all areas, corners and get around, and under, furniture and since we have stairs it had to understand when to stop in order not to fall down…
The ultimate problem was the price. The top of the line models from iRobot Roomba and Neato BotVac at 500-800 of course pay off quickly in comparison to get someone to clean my home for me but it still seemed a lot for our basic needs and I expected there would be a technological innovation on the market that could deliver on both quality and price.
We are super happy with this product. We use it 2-3 times a week. The only preparation needed is to pick up stuff you don’t want obstructing the vacuum and then press play. We first run it on the top of the stairs and after 45 minutes we let it run downstairs for another 45 minutes. That does the job. After each complete round we empty the dust container and do some minor cleaning of the filters and then put it back in the charger. It does have the capability of returning itself to the base station but again, I don’t really care about that. The remote that comes with is quite useful when it comes to manually controlling it.
At 200 we couldn’t be more satisfied.
Bought this to replace an (high end) Auto Pilot that was heavily discounted, which I loved that stopped working properly after a year. The place I got it from no longer sells the so I couldn’t have a replacement. This Eufy is better than I expected and in some ways better. It’s easier to set up, comes with spare sweeper brushes (they do need replacing after a few months as they get straggley), is quieter and thinner (so it gets under a few more things), and moves quicker. And he found his way home very easily – he’s kept in a corner of the dining room.
Where it’s not so good is that I can’t tell it what days to start cleaning automatically – it’s all or nothing. I like Robert The Spruce to go to work at 8am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, I let him loose upstairs on a Saturday. It’s not a deal breaker, I’ll turn him off the days I don’t want him to work so he still does the automatic three days downstairs. The only other thing is that the bumpers at the front don’t seem so robust or gentle – though I fancy he’s better an not bumping into things.
A robot vacuum has given me so much time back, I wouldn’t be without one. I totally recommend this one.
This is a new model from Anker building on the previous 11, 11+ and 11C. (as far as I am aware) This model is slimmer at 2.85 inches tall and this allows it to get under our sofas and radiators. Only had for a couple of days but based on the build quality (which in my opinion is excellent) this should prove to be reliable. I will update this review if it proves not to be the case.
Features
It does not map out the room like some other Robovacs, but not required as it will cover all of the room/s in time. It also does not come with an App, so no ability to control it over the internet. Mapping and having an app would be nice to have but not a showstopper, (for me) especially as this device retails at more than a quarter of the price of some other manufacturers.
It also has quite a few individual programs for cleaning (5 or 6, including manual, Spot, Edge, Auto, Room, etc.) Auto program uses a combination of all individual programs when selected.
It has 3 different power levels (Standard, BoostIQ and Maximum) which are selectable on the remote, “Eufy” will also select the appropriate one based on whether carpet or wooden floors are encountered and how much dirt/dust it detects.
The Eufy works with hard floors and up to medium pile carpets and in my experience works great with either. One bedroom has a hard floor with a long pile rug (pile just over an inch and quite dense) Eufy climbs on and off and cleans without getting stuck. It can get under our Radiators and Sofas. The other bonus is it goes under the bed which is great as the bed would have to be part disassembled to clean under it.
Remote Control
It comes with a remote control which allows you access all the main functions and programs. It is very simple and straight forward to use. It has an LCD display which shows the time, which program and power level is selected.
The remote also has a simple scheduling function which allows “Eufy” to start vacuuming at the same time each day. I have it set for 4am each morning, to wake up to nice clean floors each day. Simple, easy to set up and use.
Battery
The battery fitted is Lithium Ion, this is the best battery technology currently used. No memory effect or charging issues like previous generation, (e.g Nickel Metal Hydride). I have run it for 1.5 hours continuously which is great. (spec states run time up to 100 mins) so great battery life, and beats the Dyson and Roombas. Recharging takes approx. 4 hours if battery is fully depleted.
Summary
Given how effective and solid this little Robovac is it will certainly reduce the amount of hoovering with main hoover. I never expected it to be as effective at lifting dirt and dust as it is, this little vacuum collects dirt and dust you never new existed. I cannot emphasise how good this beauty is. The first couple of days I had to constantly empty the bin (embarrassing) as previously hoovered using main hoover before taking delivery. After a couple of days much less dirt and dust. Now noticing much less dust on glass Coffee table in Living room.
You will need to prepare your rooms by removing cables, toys, pet dishes and other items on the floor to allow “Eufy” to do his work unhindered and prevent getting him tangled or stuck.
I would thoroughly recommend this little “Eufy” robot, its a must have, for vacuuming. The build Quality and vacuuming is excellent, well done to Anker for a cracking device.
If you have ever thought about getting a Robovac you will not regret purchasing this little beauty, thoroughly recommend, our carpets and floors have never been so clean, even although we hoovered our carpets at the very lest every 2 or 3 days.
I do not work for Anker nor was it supplied as part of any promotion, “Eufy” was purchased.
